We really enjoy eating here. Especially pizza on Friday night. Melanin is a great waitress. I tend to order a very high maintenance martini and she always gets it right. My only complaint is there patio. It is ugly. It has no atmosphere and could easily be fixed. You're just sitting on a cement slab smelling exhaust, looking at a parking lot. Many restaurants upgraded there patios during Covid but not andiamo! Please fix your patio and we will come more often. Food is half the experience and atmosphere is the other. read more

We waited over an hour for a table while others were seated again and again after we came in. They do not take reservations or call aheads. That's not the worst part. The "hostess" or manager more likely was incredibly rude from the time we checked in until we were seated. The food was ok as it always is. I don't think the prices justify the taste or experience. It will be a long time if ever for us to come back. The positive feedback goes to the bar staff who took great care of us. Our server was attentive as well. Per the suggestion of a friend a group of us decided to come here after work on a week night and have dinner and drinks. It really is beautiful inside! We were supposed to have a group of 4 but one of us couldn't make it. When our waitress came over and asked if the fourth person would be joining us (the hostess had placed 4 menus on the table) we said there would only be 3 and our waitress said "Well then bye Felicia" and took the fourth menu away. It was at that moment I knew our waitress would not be up to par. She couldn't make eye contact and her tone was very condescending as though we were interrupting her just by being there. I also noticed she kept touching my glass when she would ask if I needed a refill on my wine (she really tried to push the drinks all night!) and her fingernails were filthy, like she had stuck her hands in dirt and had dirt under and around her nails. It was very distracting. When asked what we wanted for dinner I asked about several of the entrees, as the descriptions were vague as to what to expect from the meal. I asked if the stuffed pizza was like a calzone, "No" was all I got as a reply, I asked if it was like a Chicago pizza, "No". Ok.... We asked about the four cheese pizza in comparison to the other pizza choices, "It has cheese", Well thank you Mrs. Sarcastic for all of your help! I ending up choosing the Gnocchi because I know exactly what it is. I asked what the "vegetable of the day" was that was included with the entrée, it was a squash zucchini medley, I asked if there was an alternative and she said grilled asparagus or sautéed spinach, I went with the spinach. I have to say the gnocchi was delicious! I tried the cheese pizza and another pizza which was loaded with veggies, and they were both great! The wines were also nice and crisp so kudos to whomever selects the wine caffe anidiamo carries and kudos to the chef because the food was very good and presentation was also lovely. When the bill arrived low and behold I had been charged a $3 upcharge for the sautéed spinach. I asked our waitress why she didn't specify that it was more and she said "Oh I'm sorry I will do better next time" with the most sarcastic and passive aggressive tone I think I have ever heard. My only complaint was our waitress, I would definitely return in hopes that the service can live up to the taste of the food. read more

Caffe Andiamo is one of my favorite restaurants in Ponte Vedra Beach. Given that we're with walking distance, it has become a favorite of mine when entertaining guests or when we just don't want to cook. The restaurant has a chic décor and it has a nice patio area that has just been renovated. The new patio now has wall heaters that make sitting out on a chilly North Florida day very pleasant. In addition to the decor and relaxing atmosphere, the service is excellent service and the food is outstanding. The menu has a Northern Italian flare, so if you're craving spaghetti and meatballs, or chicken parmigiana---this is not your place. However, the menu has something for everyone. A favorite of mine, as either an appetizer or entre, is their pizza that's cooked in their wood burning oven. My only negative is the bar area, which is a bit on the small side and tends to get very crowded at dinner time. read more

For being walking distance from this cafe, one would think I would be there all the time. Well, that's not the case. My husband and I made a deal the next time we were craving pizza, we would go out instead of staying in. We finally made our way back over to Andiamo for a Saturday night date. Grabbing a seat outside on the patio we were anxious to see if it was like we remembered. For our starter we went with the Meatballs & Rapini. Veal meatballs in a pomodoro sauce served with rapini (similar to turnip greens) sautéed in garlic & olive oil with a lemon to squeeze on top. For our pizza we ordered the Andiamo: ricotta, mozzarella, garlic, olive oil & herbs. The food was tasty. The meatballs were tender, the rapini still had a nice bite to it. The pizza had the nice char from the brick oven it was cooked in. And it was the perfect size for sharing. I was a little disappointed when our two dishes showed up at the same time even though we clearly ordered it as a starter & a main. The waitress was excellent and though it sometimes felt like she might be watching us, she was never overbearing. In regards to making plans for your next visit, I do have a few pointers. They don't take reservations, so no need to call ahead. And while their hours on Yelp say 11-10 (and if you search for them on the interwebz you might find it as 11-10:30) there are no hours listed on their site. When we asked what the hours were, they said 11-10ish. So if you roll up at 9:30 PM on a Monday night, don't be shocked if they're closed. If they weren't busy, they might have closed early. But it works the other way too; you might get lucky at 10 PM on a Friday night if you need a late bite. I can respect wanting to 'save' on operating costs if it isn't busy, just didn't want my fellow yelpers to be left in a lurch if they make plans. read more

My boyfriend and I were craving Italian food after TPC, so we decided to try a restaurant off my bucket list. This place is off the main road, tucked into one of the shopping malls of Ponte Vedra. It's a little hard to find, but it adds to the charm and intimacy of the place. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful, with wood, glass, and a bronze wood fire. Our waitress, Connie, made our visit a relaxing one and was one of the best that I have seen. She was attentive, informative, and accommodating. The food is all fresh and handmade, with fresh herbs, handmade pasta, and fresh mozzarella. We tried the Pancetti Caprese pasta and the Quattro Formaggio pizza. The pasta had fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes in a light red sauce with penne pasta, and Connie shaved fresh parmesan on top. The pizza was super cheesy and had a unique taste to it that I liked. We were full after the pasta and several slices of pizza! Have gone to this restaurant a few times. Last night will be our last. I was hoping for a good parm of some variety. None on the menu. I had the Penn Caprese. The gravy was bitter and almost inedible. Tasted like pure tomato paste. My wife started with an appetizer, artichoke hearts. Smelled like the oil it was cooked in was used for seafood. For her main she had Spaghetti Puttanesca and it was bland at best. Service was the slowest and we waited about an hour for the food to come. Could possibly be the worst Risotto that I had eaten! This statement coming from a guy who eats out 8 meals a week ought to tell you something. So what was wrong with the mushroom risotto you ask? Previously refrigerated rice was reheated. Also, the said rice was not Arborio rice. This restaurant's rendition of this wonderful rich, creamy dish turned out to be semi-watery substandard rice heated in broth with mushrooms. The bottom line is that I left my dish uneaten. Waitress asked me if I wanted to take it home, but I refused; the disgusting , reheated dish that I disliked then, would taste even worse the next time around! They didn't offer to take it off the bill, I didn't bother to ask them to either. Paid the bill, left and got myself a hamburger. My advice to you: don't waste your time and money. Went for lunch with 3 of my friends, who all suggested this place, this was my First time. Beautiful atmosphere but our server who was 15 minutes late to work (we arrived right when they opened at 11am) was not friendly and when I asked for water with NO Ice she poured ice in my glass anyway, said she did her best not to put any in my glass. Easier just to go get a glass of water or have a pitcher with no ice handy. I ordered a salad and added chicken on it. The chicken was cold, flat and dry. It was probably from the day before. Really great place to eat when in Ponte Vedra Beach!! We happened upon it after walking to the shopping center across from the Marriott where we were staying. The menu looked good so we decided to try it. We were glad we did! We started out with getting seated at a booth after the hostess initially didn't want to seat us there. No problem! Our waitress "Sarah K" was so friendly and awesome!! We ordered the caprese mozzarella for our appetizer and this was the only disappointing part of the evening. We got three tiny Roma tomato slices with basil and mozzarella on top for $11. It was soooo bland! There was no vinaigrette on it to give it extra flavor and I can't stand when restaurants cheap out and give two people three paltry items as an appetizer. Can't they give 4? Or two large servings? Anyway on with with the dinner which was heaven on earth! We both ordered the sesame crusted tuna with potato croquettes and veggies and the meals were superb!! Awesome tuna and loved the accompaniments! We left happy campers! Definitely would be 5 stars if the appetizer hadn't been so cheaply made. But still a solid 4 stars! Kudos! read more

We just moved to the area and this restaurant was recommended to us. The woman who was seating guests and may also be the owner, was irritated and clearly uninterested in having our family (specifically my 2 children as guests here. We left immediately after being seated as she continued to give disapproving looks in our direction. As president and owner of a corporation myself, I and my employees would only treat my clients with courtesy and respect to ensure long term success, Caffe Andiamo would do well to learn this lesson. The wait time was terribly long, the booth was dirty, and a bug landed on my hand. We waited for bread and it took a long time to get to our table, we waited to be served for about an hour and a half. The food was terrible, it tasted bland, and it was mushy. The actual building was very small and people were pushing past us when we waited. It was also very loud and overall awkward inside. Just ordered a pannini with mearballs and sauté spinach's from a delivery service and it was awful . The spinach was floating in grease and had so much garlic i spit it back in the container. The pannini was dry, to little sauce and hardly any cheese. Also bread was burnt . Meatballs were okay but certainty not worth $25. read more

Horrible experience. My wife ordered risotto and basically got fried rice. I ordered chicken franchese with jumbo shrimp. The chicken wasn't breaded as what is usual, no shrimp however it was piled high with peppers. The staff didn't care. We will never go back. I gave one star because you can't post without one. I can appreciate home made pasta. But this dish I had was horrible. It called for mozzarella and it was clearly absent. Not to mention is was drowning in just water and tomato water. Summer Sunday night in a tourist area of Ponte Vedra. Myself and family are craving a dessert and espresso. We look up Caffe Andiamo and it closes at 9:30 it was 9:00 walked over entered and was 9:07. There were a few tables and a pizziaolo tossing dough in the air. When we enter the hostess says we are closed. I pointed out it says you close in 20 minutes and we are just here for a dessert. The hostess goes back to the kitchen to ask and she comes back and says sorry. We then say can we get dessert to go? The answer still was no... We left and took a stroll around the grounds. We walked past the restaurant 15 minutes later and you can see them still throwing dough in the air to make pizza with seated customers. What a joke, can't even put together a dessert order for takeout even though the restaurant is still open. What a legendary establishment and hospitality in a first class town. che fess re muort!!! We got there a little after 5 on Friday and there was seating inside and out. The atmosphere was nice, clean, upscale. We were seated and greeted by our server in minutes after arrival. The server,Will, knew the dishes and offered recommendations. He was friendly and efficient. The pasta is homemade and both of our dishes were really, really good. Not overly salty and each component of my dish was cooked perfectly. This was not easy as the dish was pasta, asparagus, bacon and juicy chicken. Even though it got busy we were not pressed but service was attentive to our water and any dessert or espresso as we finished and he cleared our main course. The food we had tonight at Caffe Andiamo was a rare and special treat!! The Insulata di Mare was a replica of that served in Capri Italy - firm and fresh seafood just right. We lived in Italy for 2 1/2 years and have searched from New England to Key West and the cays -all the Citi's along the way, including NYC & Miami to find it accurately replicated. Well who knew it would be in Jacksonville? Just delicious. We followed that with cannelloni and pennite Andiamo! Both too delicious to miss! We'd like to take this restaurant back to Virginia with us! It was amazing!! read more

Do not go when it is crowded! This was a go to place for us where we could sit at the bar and have a glass of wine and a pizza. We made the mistake of going on a Friday between 6 and 7 p.m. Snarky water with gray hair and a pony tail. Asked for water with no ice, everyone got iced water. No request was met without a negative comment. Pizza was cold - "Well, I put the order in on time." Spaghetti was under cooked - no where close to al dente. The food took over 40 minutes to come out. Too many tables for the number of bar tenders and cook staff. Find some where else to go on the weekend. read more

If you're lucky enough to make it here during lunch you might just catch some of the Real House Wives of Ponte Vedra as it tends to be frequented by the ladies who do lunch. I've only been here for lunch and I've always enjoyed it. The service has always been top notch. Recently came here on a friday afternoon for lunch. They have a nice outdoor patio area that I like to sit in when the weather is good. While there isn't much of a view considering you look out over the parking lot, the patio area is nicely done to give you that breezy florida feel. I'm a big fan of the pizza's here because of the brick oven they use to cook them in. The salad with the grilled tuna(order it rare) is also top notch. For an app I recommend the fried Calamari as it crispy yet light. It's a nice intro into a main course. Definitely one of my must hits in ponte vedra for lunch. read more

You can't navigate through the bar area because they wedged the pizza area next to it. If I could give negative stars I would. My husband and I walked in to celebrate our anniversary dinner and ended up walking out. My husband was asked to take his hat off, which was absolutely ok UNTIL a lady wearing literally the exact SAME hat was allowed to wear hers. He asked if he could wear his hat since the lady was wearing hers and was told she was allowed to wear hers because it was the style. THEY WERE WEARING THE SAME EXACT NIKE HAT. This is absolutely ridiculous and sexist. Rules should be rules no matter what your gender is. We drove over an hour to try out something different and this was the outcome.
