Whether you're in the mood for something savory or sweet, healthy or in the mood to indulge and succumb to the fat devil inside of you; they'll have it for you. Service: Phenomenal. Even though the brand is a rival to SBux, Gregorys Coffee, etc., all of the Caffe Benes are franchises which means they're run by small business owners. A nice comfortable local coffee shop/eatery. Staff is pleasant and the surroundings are well lit and clean. A nice variety of drinks and foods, some fresh made, other premade. What you order will decide how much you like their food. Most salads are made well always fresh tasting. Had one of their pasta dishes today, bow ties with pesto, and it was over cooked and over sauced. In this case less, less cooking time and less sauce, would have been more. Limp pasta is never good and too much sauce becomes over powering to the pasta. Al dente is the way to go. Still a place I will frequent and try to stick to the tried and true dishes that I know they do well. read more

I have been to Cafébene in the past and ordered takeout. the food is OK...good for a café nothing special. that being said, today I ordered a delivery and after an hour I called they said it would be another 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I called again and they said it would be another 10 minutes. It finally arrived after total of an hour and 40 minutes. I also noticed they charged me twice so I had to speak with the manager to make sure I got a refund. I really like this place. I been coming here for months now, I use to go before to Starbucks but never again since I checked out this place and they make my cappuccino the way I like it. The place is very clean and the staff is very nice. I got to mention that I stop going to Starbucks because of their stupid covid restrictions and the coffee is nothing like it use to be, at Starbucks if you want stronger coffee they ask you if you want extra shots and they charge you extra. Never order food from here. At minimum will take over an hour. Like 75+ minutes. My acai bowl arrived completely melted. Completely. I couldn't eat it. Seamless wouldn't even give me a refund. I didn't even realize this Caffebene existed in the hustle and bustle of Jackson Heights. Jackson Heights definitely needs a Caffebene! Went here on a Sunday afternoon after lunch hours-ish and there were probably only 1-2 empty tables. Their menu is pretty much the same with any other Caffebene but definitely a nicer ambiance (i.e: less crowded) than the one in Manhattan. Finding street parking around this area isn't that hard either. read more

Cafebene is good place to have breakfast in Jackson Heights. It has some quality compare to the rest of the places. Also in this area almost impossible to find other cafe house that serves big variety warm and cold sandwiches and coffees. Also I have to say lots of drinks available such as combucha that hard to find in the neighborhood. The food always fresh. So far I always fund clean the restroom which is a huge plus!! On the downside: I have to say a little bit overpriced! The workers can't except tips but a bit is too expensive. I never came out from here to spend under $20 for two of us. Also I asked for waffle sandwich, but it was made out of bread that looked like waffle. If I knew I just ask for regular sandwich. All together I would recommend it. read more

I really want to like this place. The food is good, but the service is HORRIBLE. Every time I come it takes 20 minutes to make a plain bagel with cream cheese! Then they give my order to someone else so I have to wait even longer. I keep hoping it will get better, but out of two weeks that I've been coming here for breakfast only one day I didn't have to wait for my order. Until they get their act together with their employees I won't be coming back and I suggest you don't either. I'd probably spend leas time sitting down and getting served at Jahns than coming here. Really kind employees, lots of options to choose from and great for studying. I think I come here almost everyday for the bowls, I usually get the Nutella bowl with no coconut flakes and extra Nutella or get the portabella sandwhich with chipotle sauce. The only complaint is that it can get super crowded and sometimes there aren't seats but usually it will clear up when you wait a minute or two. read more

Woke up craving a waffle grilled cheese sandwich and this place has them...a big selection in fact. Frittaffle was what we went with and it was pretty good. A tad bit sweet batter, and could use a bit more cheese, but otherwise did the trick. Friendly counter service and average wait. I was so excited when i heard that they're going to open a korean chain in my neighborhood.. And then they finally open.. First the lights were white? Its too halal truck!? Second it was too disorganized they dont know what theyre doing.. I went on line, When i finally get to the register I ask them if they serve the shaved ice. The cashier said yes we do so I ordered the red bean shaved ice and paid with a card, went though and now the waiting game started.. I was just standing in the corner holding my receipt waiting them to call my order 5 mins after i follow up my order and they said "yes its coming" ok.. Then i noticed a lady sitting, shes there before i walked in to the store and i didnt know shes waiting for her stuff too.. I felt bad for her coz shes waiting more than me. Anyway back to me, 15mins after nothing i got nothing so I waited near the register and look at the kitchen and I saw a female staff looking at the recipe " i guess she didnt know whats in it" good start for you but really? Ive been waiting for 15 mins now.. And now i saw her walking around seems like shes trying to find something.. And I overheard that shes looking for a can opener!!! So im waiting for nothing, nobody told us whats going on... And the female at the back got the nerve to give us attitude telling us its not her job to let us know that my stuff is not coming anytime soon! Fine I got so pissed its 20mins after I just want a refund... But the indian manager walked out the store and no one on the staff can do a card refund so I have to wait again for him to come back!!!? The service people were very nice. I had a Cafe Americano - it was decent but nothing to write home about. They didn't have cinnamon, cocoa powder, or nutmeg which I usually sprinkle in my coffee after adding milk and sugar. As far as the ambiance goes, they have beautiful, vintage light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. But for some reason, they also keep the fluorescent ceiling lights on full blast drowning out any charm of the vintage bulbs. The lighting is about cozy as a high school cafeteria. Ten mins later, the barista was nowhere to be seen and I was finally asked by another employee what I was waiting for, then she finally handed me my drink. This place is my new go-to caffe! The interior is beautiful and the free WiFi is a plus for working. The mojitos are so refreshing-- you definitely have to try the peach one. The cashier was extremely helpful the first time I came and the waffles are pretty on par as well. read more

I love Caffebene drinks much more than most of the regular drinks I get at Dunkin Donuts/Starbucks. The price is considerably lower and the espresso drinks aren't as bitter. However, their non-coffee menu items are overpriced. I've been to the Caffebene in Astoria/Steinway and the one in Sunnyside, so I was excited when the Jackson Heights location finally opened. It's pretty spacious (compared to the Steinway one), and plenty of seats on the floor and along the windows. This location does get pretty busy, but they don't rush you, plus, the window counter seats are pretty comfy. I stopped by this location around the time they first opened up, and it was clear that the staff was pretty overwhelmed. They ran out of a couple of things I wanted to order, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned a few days later. Things seem to be running more smoothly now. I came here to study knowing it's a caffe bene branch. However, this caffe bene definitely exudes a different feel all together. In one word, it's more ghetto and less classy/chic. It's as if a deli was combined with the cafe. The baked goods are not Korean baked goods, but rather wrapped muffins and white and black cookies, boxes of Kind bars... This isn't what caffe bene's atmosphere should feel like. They also don't play music which I don't mind, but it's awkward feeling. I ordered a cafe mocha, and wow, it is ridiculously tasteless and watered down.......... That was a big waste of my $4 for a small. Should've gone to Starbucks. read more

i came here expecting O-kay prices, but i was unsettled and frankly startled when i came to the realization that many of the menu's items are absurdly overpriced. The ambience- or rather lack of thereof-- should have secured one's mind in thinking that this place is not so ESTEEMED to be having prices as high as the ones i have seen. Anyways, concerning the quality of the food- it is obscene how the quality doesn't correlate to what i PAID for whatsoever. the french toast was rather dry and even the maple syrup couldn't do it justice. If you have money, i guess it's your choice whether to splurge here or not. next time, if i want to pay a lot, i'm going to place that deserves my money read more

Avoid this place if you can. The service is ultra slow, and the staff does not have much knowledge about coffee, or anything related to a bakery. The display section is poorly designed; half of the wrapped pastries are trapped in by tables. If there are people sitting there, one can not even walk by, and pick one up. I have given this place 3 chances, and today was the last time I will go there again. I would walk a few more blocks down to Letty's. They do not have a fancy decor, but at least they have tasty cakes, and friendlier service. I have been to many other location of this chain, and this one is the worst!! It pains me to give this place 3 stars bc I really love Caffe Benne establishment. But this location is nothing like any Caffe Benne I've ever been to. The bakery is filled with store bought pastries, with no reference to Korean bakery as this chain began from. The drinks are standard coffee shop fare, no Misugaru drinks or any Korean shaved ice offering. It was so disappointing that it really makes me sad.
