I've heard about the Caffe Bene before in other countries but when I heard that there was one right next to the hotel I was staying in at and so I got excited and went on Wednesday. I went there around the evening for a small coffee run before going off to tour around and the service threw me off by surprise. They had great decor, light music, just the right temperature and also an amazing smell and aroma. I ordered a regular black coffee and a cheesecake, the cashier was very, very friendly and took my order with a big warm smile, it was pretty rare for me to see such a happy face in New York. I even asked if she was from here and we had a small, nice conversation. The cheesecake was creamy and went easily down my throat as I washed it off with the coffee.
