We have come here a few times for drinks and desserts recently. This place is very open and spacious with lots of comfy seatings, they open long hours everyday, so it's quite convenient for locals. I think they make very tasty drinks here, my favorites are green tea latte and frappe. I have tried some macaroons, they were OK, but I am never a fan of macaroons cause all flavors taste the same to me. The honey toast was so yummy, I have always liked toasts a lot though, will have to try all other flavors eventually. Shaved ice is perfect for summer times, I don't know about cheesecakes, we have tried a pistachio one, it was a bit bland. They also have sandwiches and grilled cheese for lunch or afternoon snacks, we have yet tried them but I would go for the grilled cheese sometime soon. Move over bar hopping, there's something called dessert hopping that is even more awesome! My bf has a huge sweet tooth, so we were just touring around the area looking for some sweet treats to try. To start off our morning, we decided to get some drinks here. We got the mango mojito and matcha latte. The mango mojito is pretty good if you like sparkly drinks! It's not overly sweet, and the mango tasted fresh. The matcha latte is good, although it was a bit too sweet for me. I personally prefer the mojito drinks here. Prices are reasonable. I just left this place because the music is WAY too loud. I'm trying to finish a huge deadline and the reason we go to coffee houses is to think and focus. That is immensely hard to do when the music is blaring so loud from the speakers that I can't hear my own music through my headphones, almost like I'm at a club. So I came to Starbucks and the music is at optimal level- whirring in the background with peoples' voices and coffee machines. But not literally blasting everywhere. Prices-- they're too high. Lavender vanilla latte and Lavender milk tea taste amazing, as they should for nearly $6 and $5. I could suck up the high prices because the place stays open late. But when putting high prices together with loud, disruptive music, the experience becomes less tolerable. If I can't stay late and get into what I'm doing, I may as well go to Starbucks which is cheaper with lower music level. read more

Tip - if you like your coffee/americano strong as is typical in most coffeehouses these days, order it with an extra espresso shot. We also split a strawberry cream waffle - this was actually pretty good, better than I expected. The waffle was rich and crisp, with some cocoa flavor. The room has plenty of tables and chairs, with an amusing number of signs stating various rules (a no laptop zone, no outside food, customers only, etc). Find this store off Sepulveda Boulevard East of Western Avenue and closer to the Lockness Avenue intersection (first signal east of Western Ave). Parking mostly available in the private lot with some street parking available on Lockness Avenue. Environment is spacious, warm and inviting and only available indoors. There is an abundance of group gathering spaces at this shop as well as free wifi for customers. Staff was professional, courteous and helpful with all of our questions. Food selection is more abundant than an ordinary coffee shop in that they carry pastries and make sandwiches too. The drinks we had were great as were the tiramisu and cheesecake we tried. The gluttons in us also tried the waffle sandwiches which were basically sandwiches pressed into a waffle iron. Though we were slightly disappointed the sandwiches were still warm and delicious on a cold night. WC Clean & spacious. Separate for ladies & gents. Love this place. It's large too so you can come with several friends. The place is modern and cute. I ordered the misugaru, a grain drink. Something I havent had really since I was a kid but this was the grown up, more sophisticated version with crushed ice. Yum. Anyway, we already had dinner, so I was too full to get dessert and ordered this drink instead. Next time, I'll try one of their macarons or other coffee drinks. My friend ordered the affagato, espresso with ice cream which I'll probably try next time. The drinks are not cheap but you are paying for the cafe experience. There is a nice relaxed vibe here. Solid working or studying spot! The wifi's improved -- despite the larger crowds, it still works quickly. Wifi is provided at the bottom of your receipt and changes everyday. I first tried Caffe Bene in Ktown for the pabingsu. Really solid shaved ice. Got excited that there's a Torrance location. We tried their mojito coffee and their multigrain coffee. I felt the mojito coffee tasted like full on syrup and reminiscent of bottled coffee in Asian grocery stores. Not worth the $7. The multigrain coffee was much better but just tasted like a protein coffee shake. read more

This is a very cool, layback caffe where you can go to have delicious and unique drinks, waffles, breakfast items and sandwiches. Right now my favorite is the green tea frappe w 1/3 the powder. It's so good! The only down side is that if you want less sweet then you get less tea flavor. =\ I wish they could fix that. But even at 1/3 the flavor is still there. The strawberry cream cheese toast is good especially as a dessert if you want something a little less sweet. This place is a haven for college students who need a place to study. We walked in at night and lots of students had their work out and the atmosphere was calm and quiet. Very spacious cafe with tons of seating. Caffe Bene is said to have coffee beans grown around the world such as Ethiopia, Columbia, Papa New Guinea etc. And they serve lots of different drinks. They have menus laid out the whole counter detailing fresh sandwiches, gelato, fruit juice, tea juice, bagels, waffles etc. They have plastic models of select foods and drinks if you're curious to see what it looks like. This is my first time here so I kinda went big and got a Strawberry Shaved Ice Parfait and a chocolate Smores honey bread. The parfait was alright, I wish they added less of the ice and maybe more ice cream. The presentation looked exactly like the plastic models which is good. I thought I would get something that looks way off like fast food places. I think its a bit too pricey for over 10 dollars but mostly everything here is pricey than your average cafe. The chocolate Smores bread was very delicious, the chocolate/melted smores complimented the bread in every bite. It costs around 8 $ I believe. Today I went here with my friends and ordered a strawberry ice parfait and it tasted good. But when I came to pick up the ice parfait the worker accidentally tipped over the whole thing and it spilled on my hand. My friend took me here to study. The food was good but in my opinion, it was over-priced. Food: I ordered a sandwich and coffee.The Sandwich was tasty but it totally was not worth the amount I paid for it, and the coffee was really acidic and was not good at all. If I were to come again I would definitely try their desserts because they get high reviews from them. Service: The servers were fine. They weren't terrible or anything, but I felt like the food took longer than it should have considering there was barely anyone in the store (we went semi-early in the morning) and there was one worker that was barely doing anything the whole time. Also kind of unrelated but the restroom is weirdly cold. (As in there is a definite temperature difference which was unnerving.) The free Wifi was really fast and easy to use, but expires every 2 hours and you have to put the password back in Ambiance: They have a clean and spacious environment which was nice, but the music they were playing was super droning and LOUD. This is the most racist-profiling, cash-hungry cafe I have ever visited. I "used" to come do my work and order food to eat 3 to 4 nights a week in the evening. They profile their customers and monitor if you even buy anything. Cashier comes to me first (I'm Black by the way) and asks me to buy or leave... "it's the policy". I recorded the entire thing... It's already enough that there prices are high anyway. But then you harass your customers? Obviously, you don't know your regular customers well. Never will I go here again! If you're not Asian (and especially a person of color), save your money. You're most likely not welcomed at this cafe because you will be profiled! read more

I only came here to get some Vietnamese Ice Coffee which was delicious, Parking was a real mess here trying to find a spot because there are so many other restaurants in the area. I was not too Impressed on the inside it on a bit higher scale then Starbucks also its pretty large too. It was about 1:00pm in the afternoon on a Friday still lunch time and there was only 7 people inside, something is wrong with this picture I think maybe because the prices are a tad higher. I had three Macaroons and a large Ice coffee it came to about $13.00 and changes. There are reserve seating here, one TV, Infused water on a stand, a work station, and free WIFI. the decors here is very modern, this place was clean and there was only one staff taking your order and fixing for you...what's up with that "lunch time" she was helpful friendly and cute. read more
