Definitely our new favorite breakfast haunt. Other than the fact that it's pricey, there is nothing to complain about. We came for breakfast 2 days in a row. Both times the staff was on point. The first day, John, one of the owners was there and was absolutely lovely. Whoever was in charge today when we dined was not quite as friendly and rather standoffish. Both times we sat outside directly under the fans and it wasn't as hot as one might think considering it was already over 80 degrees at 9:30 am. And the place was already pretty busy for so early during the week. For our first breakfast experience, my fiancé and I both had the daily special: Southwestern lobster Benedict with the homemade hollandaise on the side. He had freshly squeezed orange juice and I had a very generous watermelon mimosa. Omg! I've never been a big fan of eggs Benedict but I now am when I dine here! This morning we both had the crab Benedict which had a very generous portion of crab. We also ordered an egg white omelet with a side of pork sausage. All beautifully made and super delicious! Next time we're in town, which is pretty frequently, we will definitely be giving the dinner a go. Love it! And the views of course cannot be beat. read more

Had a great Thanksgiving Brunch here this year! This was our first visit but we loved the food and the experience. Nice vibe and right across from the beach with a good view from the patio. This place is obviously a staple in Delray Beach and was slammed for brunch but they were very accommodating. We had the breakfast pizza with an over easy egg which was delicious! The Chorizo Eggs Benedict which was also tasty. The Sunrise Mimosa did not disappoint as well. If you are looking for a great local spot to hit and then head to the beach, give it a try! read more

If i could give this place negative stars i would, i came here three times and every time it got worse. Service was terrible. Food was mediocre at best. Workers didnt have a notepad and got our orders wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME. The worst part? I got a MOLDY bagel. The manager came out, and you know what he said? "IT HAPPENS." ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? You must be joking because never coming back, ruined my entire trip. Luna Rosa is my favorite place to get breakfast in DelRay Beach. I visit DelRay about 5-7 times a year and make it a point to go to Luna Rosa at least 2 times for breakfast. I always, always get the burrata and avocado toast. It is the best avocado toast I have ever had. It is served on challah bread with the burrata and avocado on top. Underneath the toast is a bed of arugula which really pairs nicely. Topped with a pesto and balsamic drizzle, the dish is a delicious, cohesive meal. My father usually gets the lobster and shrimp roll. Even though we eat at around 10 a.m., he can still stomach all that seafood because it is so yummy! Sometimes the wait can be long, which is a bummer. But we usually will walk around town and do a little shopping. The food is awesome, it makes the wait worth while. I was in town visiting from California, and stopped here to have some brunch with my 1 year old daughter and her aunt. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, so was trying to keep my daughter occupied. Her aunt put some of her favorite YouTube music videos on her phone, and that kept her attention while we waited and throughout our meal. As we were getting close to being done, a man came by our table, while straightening up some other tables around us, and VERY rudely told us to turn the music down out of no where. My daughter had been quiet and well behaved, and it was so loud in there, you couldn't even hear the music. But she knew the videos, so was still watching. I was so shocked, that I told him that was the only thing keeping her happy and confirmed that he was yelling at us to turn it down, and he snapped, "Yes! It's bothering our patrons". He then walked away, and we started asking everyone around us if it was bothering them, to which everyone said they couldn't hear it at all. I have NEVER experienced such rude, inconsiderate, and completely abhorrent behavior from someone in the service industry in my life. We asked our waitress who that was, and she said it was the owner (we didn't get his name). We asked if he would come back over to our table, because I wanted to confront him about his behavior, but he never came. A nicer older gentlemen came over to our table, and we explained what happened to him. He said he was sorry that happened and hoped we would return (our family living here will never come back), and took 25% off our tab, which was nice. But that tells us that this happens a lot, especially after reading some of the other reviews. I understand this place has been there for a long time and has all their "regulars", but they'd do well to get rid of this guy. He is driving business away from the restaurant...but maybe that's his intention? One of the worst experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. read more

I've been here a couple times. The food is kind of hit or miss. The staff is largely indifferent. I was served Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey that was either really really really old, or it was watered down in the bottle, which was weird. I have no idea why you would do that. I am a Delray local and Luna Rosa is a popular spot in the area. My wife and I went last night and I was extremely disappointed by the service. One of their glasses cracked and shattered straight into my shirt and into my food. While this was not their fault, the way it was handled was absolutely ridiculous. There was water all over my entire shirt and the staff walked right past me after seeing what happened. One staff member was laughing, another said we'll get you a new water and the third member asked that we replace my food.. I was done with my food. No one was asked if I was injured, ok or if there was anything they could do. They didn't even care to see what they could do to provide better service to ensure I was comfortable and instead tried to rush me out so it didn't make the restaurant look bad. I'm very upset because this place is so we'll known. Overall decent food but 0 out of 10 in terms of service. read more

I loved this place. We go for my mother's birthday every single year. Most of the time the sides come a little colder than they should but its not too bad. Our server was so kind and helpful until i mentioned to my mom that i was going to leave not the best review because the eggs and potatoes came out cold, and its like that every time we go. I guess the server heard me and took offense. I explained to her that it had nothing to do with her service and she responded with, "well you just don't write a bad review about a good restaurant" with so much attitude. I wouldn't have to write a bad review if the food came out how its supposed to. It was so full and loud this time I went, i couldn't even hear my dad across the table. Such a great dinner! Didn't book but they accommodated my friend and I on a busy evening and we had fantastic service, our waitress was the sweetest. Garlic cloves in olive oil served with warm bread was amazing. Ordered meatballs on recommendation from our sever and the bolognese. Both were extremely good. But the tiramisu was unreal. Great location. Food: Fried Calamari...excellent, Rigatoni Bolognese...good, but not enough meat in the sauce and a little heavy on the cream. I ordered the meatballs as well. Meatballs were a little soft for my taste. I prefer meatballs that are a little more firm and seared in a pan until cooked through and THEN put in the sauce to simmer. The ambiance of this restaurant was relaxed without sacrificing cleanliness or quality as some beach establishments often do. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor table and our waitress was attentive without being pushy. The food was delicious. We had the clams in white wine sauce as a shared appetizer (they kindly split it for us without even having to ask). For main course we had the catch of the day (snapper) over spinach and the mahi mahi sandwich. Our seafood was cooked to perfection and the food was flavorful. The only small negative was one of our drinks (Bellini) which didn't use fresh purée/nectar. We would definitely come back and recommend this location. read more

The food at Caffe Luna Rosa is always spectacular at the Tastemakers festival. Diane and I have never gotten around to having a romantic dinner, just the two of us. This time we did. The portions were large and delicious. I loved it!! I had the Chicken Piccata--just fabulous caper sauce, nice and tender chicken. We had seats right near the window where we had a nice view of the water. I could also see the parking spot I got across the street. The menu was loaded with fantastic choices I am eager to try! I loved every bite of the chicken piccata!! The ambiance of Caffe Luna Rosa was terrific. It was subdued, clean and beautiful. My only regret is that we haven't yet become regular customers. Sunday is supposed to be a time of leisure, fun and relaxation. My fiance, close friend and I, anxiously awaited to be sat at Cafe Luna Rosa for brunch. Upon arrival, we were told it would be a 25-30 minute wait to be seated for a party of three. As the clock ticked, we noticed that parties of 3-4 (who were not ahead of us), were being sat first. I took this opportunity to ask the hostess how long it would be until we were seated. She told me that our party of three would be seated next. Another, 20 minutes went by, and we still watched as other patrons got seated before us. Once a table was cleared on the outside, we were sure this would be our spot. However, another party of three swooped in and asked the owner if they could sit at the table, and he gave them the "go ahead." In response, we went up to the hostess and asked for an explanation. Reminder-we have now been waiting for over an hour, for a 25-30 minute hold time. She rudely responded that she "was not a fortune teller...she cannot predict the future." Apparently her boss sat the folks before us. We understand that Cafe Luna Rosa is a busy spot; however, that does not give the business the right to treat their patrons without respect. If I were the hostess, I would have calmly replied, "I see that my boss just sat your table. I am so sorry-I will work to get you the next available table. Your support is important to us-please let me see what I can do to best accommodate you. Thank you for your patience." We were met with hostility and rudeness. It was absolutely unacceptable. Fellow patrons, be fair warned that this establishment does not show respect for their guests. What a shame. On to the next one. read more
