Full disclosure: 11 Little Italy stores participated in the Netflix promotion of the Irishman that happen this past Friday and Saturday, it became a treasure hunt/food tour for me. Little Italy has a lot of places and most of the time I am not looking for desserts. When I am, my friends and I have tended to go to places we have been especially on a Friday night. I haven't been to this store so I am excited to try it. Also, it was a bit crowded since a small tour group stopped by the store. The tour guide was asking the employees to make sure the tour group was taken care of first. There are tables though it's a bit tight to navigate until you get to an aisle where there is more space. When it was my turn, I mention that Jimmy sent me to the employee. The employee handed me a mini cannoli. Great for a snack. The cookie is crisp and the cannoli cream is good. Located in Little Italy in Chinatown, NYC, this place was an accidental find...we were looking for desserts and wanted something Italian. We saw their sign that theirs cannolis were award winning and decided to try it. It was an early June evening when NYC was starting to open back up to indoor dining so there was no wait. We were seated right away and ordered cannolis. Very delicious and prices weren't bad. There was a very extensive menu and the dessert cases was very full with good variety. Tommy had great energy and got us to come in and enjoy a delicious dessert. We also got to met the cannoli king himself, take a photo with him and he was so kind. I went with my cousin and boyfriend who were visiting with me for the day since everyone loves cannoli. We opted for table service since it was 90 degrees and we wanted to get out of the heat for a few minutes. There was plenty of seating inside but it fills up quickly. We ordered a large pistachio cannoli, a slice of tiramisu and a small classic cannoli. All three were delicious, but if we go back we will only grab-and-go. While we were served quickly, we sat for nearly 40 minutes waiting on the check. Our waitress was running in and out of the front door and forgot about our table completely. Every other table was well taken care of and in and out quickly. When my boyfriend finally chased her down, she didn't even know what table we were at and got frustrated with him. We understand that it was busy, but every other table with a different waitress was fine. We had a train to catch and had ample time to sit, until we were forgotten which forced us to rush. While the cannoli and desserts are good, I would never opt to dine in again. read more

They should really work on their customer service. The cannoli's are definitely not worth making a special trip out to little Italy unless you're a diehard cannoli fan. It was just kinda meh. But the 1 star is mostly for the rude service. Learn to treat your paying customers better. read more

Dessert was amazing. Got jelly logs and some other type of cookie. The waiter recommended getting the smaller ones because they're cheaper (larger ones are more expensive bc they weigh more). However, we were told we weren't allowed to sit inside. It was 105 degrees out. A little rude considering we bought ice cream and cookies from them. read more

Everything in here looks delicious! I arrived with 14s who are very happy to choose from cannoli pastry gelato and more. But I was quite happy to order a double espresso with Frangelica to go! It was so delicious and exactly what I needed after walking around the city with four teenagers all day. If you're in Soho or Chinatown, definitely make way to this place in Little Italy. I stopped in for lunch and dessert while visiting Little Italy. I was immediately greeted by a friendly waitress and seated. At first glance at the menu I was disheartened because the lunch offering was limited. I did see the dessert menu was expansive, which matched the desserts I saw in the cases at the counter. I realized I had not walked into the restaurant I originally researched, but decided to stay anyway and try it out. I ended up ordering an Italian panini and it did not disappoint! Since this place obviously is more of a dessert place, I had to indulge, right? So, I had a tiramisu with American coffee (it was freezing outside and I needed the hot beverage to carry with me when I left). This was one of the best, if not the best, tiramisus I've ever eaten!! It was incredibly creamy, yet light, and the lady fingers were perfectly soaked and tasted of the right blend of espresso with the cream. Delicious!! read more

My kids love Cannoli's and we managed to dissuade them from joining the masses of tourists in Buddy Vs - which we have back home anyways - and into Little Italy as we continued our exploration of NYC and happened to stumble across this place. We originally just intended to grab a Cannoli and Lobster tail and go on our way but I was seriously hankering after an Expresso so we grabbed a seat - enjoyed a great dose of caffeine and a delicious slice of NY Cheesecake ! The service was so nice, the lady was like an old family friend and was super sweet, we had our desserts within minutes and they were rich enough to serve as our lunch! Adorable little caffé in the heart of little Italy. Every time I come to NYC, I must make a trip to Little Italy for these kind of places. You can tell this place has been here forever... in a good way. I ordered a cannoli with a spiked hot chocolate and it was really the perfect pair. This review was due for a while now. I visited this spot in Little Italy when I took a trip to New York and at first, I was wondering why my guide chose this particular spot despite the abundance of other Italian bakery/restaurants that resided in the crowded crevice between buildings that also housed its residents. The store was unique among the others simply because of the HUGE cannoli statue that resided inside and outside the shop. One of which, I do have a selfie of but I cropped my embarrassing face out of. This statue in the shop however isn't just decoration. Out of instinct, I figured this place was well known for their cannolis, I ordered two different cannolis; chocolate and pistachio. Along with a chocolate bomb. The cannolis actually tasted very fresh, airy and true to the flavor. While I have had better in some places, I can't deny that this place landed the spot on what a true cannoli tastes like. The chocolate bomb especially had a welcoming wafer crunch with the fudge filling that really soothed my day. This was all after a huge pizza and oyster dinner across the street especially! My coworker recommended this spot to me since I told him I love cannoli. When I walked in here, the display of all the beautiful desserts just blown me away. Of course I had to get the cannoli and the peanut butter pie looked very interesting. I thought the peanut butter pie was okay, not bad, reminds me of the Hershey's pie from Burger King. When a place calls themselves the King of something it is worth giving them a try. My wife and I stopped there after dinner to get some desserts to go back to our hotel. We grabbed some cannolis, (for me) and a slice of New York-style cheesecake (for my wife). The cannoli was an amazing crisp shell and flavorful filling. However, it is the cheesecake that gets the 5-star rating. I am a devout cheesecake hater, never found one that I could eat or enjoy. This cheesecake changed all of that. I'm basing this review on the chocolate cannoli and rainbow cookie I was almost forced to try because of the huge sign outside that says 'CANNOLI KING.' Inside it looks like your standard bakery. Nothing special. I went on a weekday and the options seemed a little sparse. Could be because foot traffic is low these days due to the pandemic. I went with a mini cannoli with the chocolate shell. It just tasted a little off to me, almost like it was stale. I think the shell was too hard and not flaky and the filling a little too thick. And a little too much powdered sugar on top. I had to scape some off before I ate it. I also got a rainbow cookie which I enjoyed more. The berry filling tasted home made and the cake was very moist. Decent place if you're in the area and want something sweet or even a hot coco. After having dinner, my party of six and I decided to walk over to Caffe Palermo not only to warm up, but to have a bit of dessert too. I ordered a hot coco with apple pie. The coco was great..not too thick and not too watery, but the pie was too cold and lacked a lot of flavor. Last time I went, I ordered a classic tiramisu and a peach sorbet. The classic tiramisu was as good as any tiramisu you would expect. It had its fair share of creaminess and fluff through its lady fingers and mascarpone. However, it was the peach sorbet was what caught my taste buds and inclined me. The sorbet was served inside a peach, which I have never had before. What was amazing about this treat was that the sorbet was not overly sweet nor was it bland. It literally tasted like a frozen peach that you can shave off with a small scoop!
