    Breakfast toasts (Nutella and salmon)
    Amy W.

I come for lunch all the time and the sandwiches are quality. Also, the breakfast toasts are quite delicious. However, the service is really slow. I can understand when they are backed up with many customers, but even when there aren't many, the orders come out quite slowly, and sometimes the workers do not seem to be diligent about getting the orders out.

Not bad. Tuna sandwich was a little heavy on the mayo, but now I know how to order better next time.

We had to circle the area a few times to find street parking. It would be nice if they had a designated parking lot in addition to street parking because some of the businesses around there had that. There was seating inside despite the store being pretty small, so my bf and I just ate inside. The cakes were pretty good! I got the Matcha Yuzu and he got the Kinako Chestnut. I couldn't really taste the yuzu until I tried only the first layer of cream. The matcha overpowers the yuzu a lot because there was two layers of matcha cream and one layer of matcha cake. Still really good and can taste that the matcha is high quality! As for the kinako chestnut, we couldn't taste the chestnut much but there were some chestnut pieces hidden in the cake! I would love to try the peach one as well but this place is quite far. Hopefully I'm in the area when they have the peach seasonal again.

Ordered UberEats and my order arrived in less than an hour!…read more Menu had a good variety of sandwiches, cakes, and drinks. Pricing was pricey. Most of the cakes cost $9+ and the sandwiches were $10+! Got the Egg Heaven Sandwich ($13) and it was pretty much an egg salad sandwich. The bread didn't taste fresh and was quite dry. I was expecting the bread to be soft and fluffy but that wasn't the texture at all. The egg salad was quite heavy on mayonnaise and had too much pepper for my preference. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the sandwich unfortunately. The Sunny Side Up (Coconut Mango Mousse Cake) - $9.50 - was delicious! Love how it was nicely packaged in a cute tin! The mango mousse was so creamy and I could tell it was made with sweet mangos! The cake was so moist and fresh. The coconut cream on top made it even more delicious! Definitely recommend! The Tiramisu ($9.50) was so good! It was so creamy and every bite was nicely layered with mascarpone mousse/coffee jelly and topped with cocoa powder. It wasn't too sweet and the cream didn't feel too heavy. The cake was very fresh and soft! Overall, I didn't enjoy the sandwich but the cakes were incredible and definitely worth getting!

Staff were absolutely wonderful and very helpful with menu items and deciding between the 'crispy' or regular Caesar wrap. I love the industrial Italian atmosphere when you walk in. I brought my food home and loved the crispy look of the chicken inside the wrap! I got extra dressing on the side. It's VERY GARLIC-E! Very good but very strong garlic and I'm a garlic lover. It's decently sized which is nice because I was able to save half for lunch the next day however, I did use a different Caesar from the fridge in an effort to minimize my garlic intake the 2nd day. Would highly recommend trying this place! I am looking forward to trying additional items off the menu as well!

While the menu is the same, the Highland Park spot on York Boulevard has more ample seating (with a diner-style setup along with some sidewalk tables), and I've also found the service to be more welcoming than the other Ggiata location. While both locations manage a lot of to-go orders, I've found that my orders are completed promptly when I've ordered in person at this newer branch. During my most recent visits I ordered the crispy chicken Caesar wraps, and my experience has varied. While I enjoyed it the first time I ate it, the filling ratio was off the second time (with an inordinate amount of Romaine lettuce compared to chicken). While I would not go out of my way to order at Ggiata, it's a decent option if I'm in the area and craving a sandwich.

Once you walk in you can smell the sausage roll and meat pies being made fresh! They have a general menu of what flavors they have for the day or week not sure. I got the cha gio sausage roll, it's huge and comes with chili oil dipping sauce. So good and goes really well with it. Basically a big eggroll stuffing wrapped in a puff pastry. They do ask if you like them to warm it up for you in case you are eating it on the spot. I said no and took it home to put in the air fryer. I can't wait to go back and try other things they have. Service is really nice and quick.

Hubby got the Classic Aussie sandwich and the bread pudding, while my son and I got the Beef Pho meat pies and Popcorn Pork meat pie rolls. The beef pho meat pie definitely had the pho flavors and aromatics. This was absolutely delicious! The Popcorn Pork was good, not as aromatic as the pho pie. The flavor was lacking on the Taiwanese popcorn chicken basil flavor that it claimed. It reminded me more of a Vietnamese meat pie (pate chaud), which is peppery with a smoother texture that this one did not have, but it was still flavorful. The bread pudding was good but the texture was more dense reminding me of a banana bread loaf. I didn't care for the dollop of yogurt on top, which took away from the flavor of the bread pudding itself. Hubby said the Classic Aussie was good but was expensive for the size of the sandwich (small burger size). Hubby got the Long Black coffee which was good, but sadly my iced matcha latte was lacking in the matcha flavor. It was very pale in color and tasted mostly of milk. Service was quick and friendly. I will come back for the meats and try the other flavors of the meat pies next time.

This time my husband got the Granada which was recommended to us by Henry and I got my usual Legendary. Italian godfather was the second sandwich and I felt that it was missing something, it wasn't pack with flavor much. I just added some banana peppers and it helped. Also a big sandwich. I ordered a harissa chicken salad and the guy grabbed one directly from the fridge. I took it to-go and didn't think much of it, but when I opened it a little later, I found mold in the bowl (that's after I already started to blend the salad and ate a few bites). I don't know how much mold was there and how long has it been there, but felt very grossed out. Then I took a look at the date on the package - it was packed on 3/8, and today is already 3/12! Unfortunately I was already too far to go back to them. But I just can't believe they were charging a 4-day-old salad $13 pre tax as if it were fresh. I think I'd probably do better with fast food salad. Now I'm also worried about getting sick from the bites I took. I definitely won't come back. Who knows what do they put in their smoothies..: The additional star is for a wrap I got a while ago that tasted good.
