Took my mom for a quick dinner here as I've tried their breakfast. Typical hk cafe vibes and menu. But service was top notch. Attentive and quick and with a smile. I ordered the baked pork chop rice with milk tea And it was very good. Hearty and big portions and sauce was spot on. Milk team silky smooth and creamy. Came Hot and steaming, just the way i like it. My son ordered the beef Ho fun ( forgot to take pic) - was the most disappointing dish ever. Flavours off. No wok hei. Wrong noodles and wrong sauce. Also tried the bfast combo....amazing they had beef brisket noodle option so had that. Eggs were just scrambled, not silky and wet. The spam/luncheon meat was good and the hasbrown was the frozen variety. Over all, i would repeat but staying away from Any stir friend noodle dishes from Now on. Cheers! Happy eating!

I came with a couple of coworkers on my first visit and it turned out to be ok for a newly opened place. Got seated right away, service was friendly. Got the Seafood Chow Mein, and found it quite sparse (maybe because I was quite hungry) but taste-wise, it's average, nothing out of the ordinary. They were able to do separate bills which is always the preferred when dining with coworkers. A month later, we came for our second visit, however, the service seemed to have gone awry. We had a group of six and got seated at the only table for six in the middle of the room right away. Then a few minutes later, another server asked us if we had reservations and we said no. She told us that this table for six is for *person's name* and she wanted us to move. We were like, ok, move us where? She left and came back a few minutes later and said it's ok. Fast forward to ordering--from the get go we asked for separate bills and the server said no problem. After taking our orders, the items starting to come. The drinks that came were all wrong which is fine, we just had to tell them what each of use ordered again. Then the soups that came with out food came, also wrong, so had to tell them what we ordered again. Then the food started to come one by one. I chose the Mix & Match (Mixed Grill) option of Pan fried Chicken Steak + Cutlet Fish Fillet, got the fries, black pepper sauce and cream soup. Hands down, the better value compared to the Seafood Chow Mein I had on my first visit. OR maybe I was just really hungry again. Would I order this again? Probably. Now that everyone finally got what they ordered... and more -- there was hair in one of the dishes. And no, it's not from my coworker's because she's blonde and the hair is black. So we informed one of the servers. She was quite apologetic and told us that she would comp the meal and asked if my coworker would like a new one. Since she's 2/3 in, she's pretty much done and don't want one. After we're done with our meal, we asked for the bill (a number of times). Somehow they just never got around to bringing the bill. And because we had to head back to work soon, we finally got up pay up front. When we got up there, we were told that the server had issues separating the bill. I don't know how it was entered but the items on the bill was all over the place. With the long line up behind and people trying to get a table, I just told them that I would just pay for the whole thing. In the end, we were over charged for the drinks we never ordered. But that's ok. Mistakes happen. New establishment and they're still working out the kinks. I just hope the next visit will be better. I'm hopeful.

When I found out they had a location in Empire Centre, we headed there just after they opened at 9:00... and no line?!? We ordered their famous scrambled eggs with fish cutlet and toast, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The eggs were incredibly soft and creamy which was reminiscent of omurice. The fish cutlet was perfectly fried (crispy on the outside and flaky inside) which paired beautifully with the savoury onion sauce. We also had the pineapple bun with satay beef, which was another winner. The sweet, fluffy bun and rich, savoury satay filling were a perfect combination. Salty and sweet! Of course, no Hong Kong café experience is complete without Hong Kong milk tea, and Cha Don's version was excellent... smooth, rich, and exactly what you'd hope for. It's easy to see why there's always a lineup (which started right after we got our food). Great execution of Hong Kong café classics, friendly service, and food that's well worth making the trip for. I can definitely see myself coming back.

We decided to order take out and enjoy it at home to avoid the crowds of people. Service was quick and the large menu with pictures displayed outside the stall was helpful. All the food in the picture came out to less than $40 which is a decent deal in this time and age. I liked the broth of my macaroni soup as it was well seasoned, but not heavy at all. My boyfriend ordered satay beef vermicelli and it was flavourful and satisfying. The scrambled egg toast is a must if you love soft runny eggs between bread. It's simple stuff that can be done at home if you're really craving it, but the convenience definitely hits...That, and a couple cups of yuenyeung to save the day.

I used to come here often with friends and families for breakfast and wanted to see whether it still tasted just as good. We each got two items from the breakfast combo, A through D. A to Cs are our usual options and upgrade to French toast. The eggs were somewhat on the drier side and i personally prefer fluffy ones. The beef noodles and the congee continue to be my favorites. The beef noodle broth is flavorful and the congee definitely comforted my soul. The items listed in D are always a miss. We have tried all items and none of them was delicious. For example, the steamed rice rolls were very doughy. Other times, they were very dry. The items in D sometimes felt like they're frozen dim sum items sold at grocery stores. Service is a hit or miss depending on which server you get. Sometimes you get servers who come and refill tea and provides actual service. Other times, no one comes by at all even when there is no tea in cups, etc.

Dinner portions are BIG, great for sharing or to pack extras home. Everything I was craving. Good amount of sauce, cheese, and fish. Met all my expectations with 50% more in size. 40a shrimps and swirl egg with flat rice noodle - good wok work, the noodles have a nice colour and char from being tossed before sauce was layered on top. I am a hater of peas and was pleasantly surprised it didn't come with it. Perfect texture and flavour, one note that shrimps have a slightly alkaline taste from the marination process. Borscht soup is tomatoey and acidic (not my pref, but well-loved by my boyfriend). Cream soup is rich and not too heavy. HK milk tea and mix with coffee are tasty. Friends ordered singaporean style vermicelli and a curry beef brisket, both looked good. $60 for 2 dishes, 2 drinks, 2 soups is real value. Despite the name "cart" in the Chinese name, they don't have cart noodles on the menu. Saw some people getting orders there, on a not super busy day at the food court. The menu has various HK tea cafe style sandwiches, rice, and noodles. I got the minced beef with egg over rice. This comes with a drink, and I got the milk tea, which was not super sweet but not bitter either. Took 10 min to get the food. Comes in a good sized container. The portion is pretty big as I was only to eat a bit over half. As for the taste, the minced beef is in a tomato-based sauce. It's HK style so the it's milder than traditional pasta sauce. Includes a sunny side up egg on top which you can break the yolk and mix with the rice. Decent flavors, goes down easy. Overall price was $17.5. Not necessarily the cheapest food court offering, but still good deal given the portion.
