1/13:19 Upgraded a star. Used them again for another repair on same vehicle. Same excellent repair quality but much better communication throughout and much quicker. They even stayed open a few minutes late the night I picked up my vehicle which was quite nice to do. Will definitely use them again after this latest bit of redemption. Will give them 3 stars overall. 5 for the repair and 2 for customer service. I went with them as I have Geico and this is one of their express locations that is supposed to be streamlined for service. My initial experience was positive as I made an appointment that was promptly kept met with the GEICO agent first and then the Caliber person who was going to keep in touch throughout the repair. I was told they would keep in touch which they did initially when everything was on track. I got regular texts and was told car would be ready in 6 days. That's when issues began. Text updates became non existent unless I started asking questions. Was repeatedly told their were parts delays although I drive a newer vehicle that is nothing unique and had minimal damage. Once was told then they got the parts but that it was broken so they had to order it again. Ultimately the 6 day repair took 3 weeks and I suspect only got done when it did as I kept complaining about the length of time. Kept getting excuse that they could not be held responsible for their vendors issues but my feeling is that if there are vendor issues you need to pick a new vendor. At time of pick up they did redeem themselves a bit as the gal got there early before they opened to expedite my pick up so I could get to work. The repair really is excellent although I would certainly expect that. They also had a nice touch in that my car interior which they never had to work on was nicely cleaned. Hard to say if I will use them again but if I do I will definitely keep on them from the start regarding timeline for the repair read more

This has got to be the easiest process that I have ever done with my vehicle. Everything went so seamlessly from the time that I met Taylor she walked my vehicle to make sure I knew exactly what was going to happen. Mark my vehicle and kept me updated the entire time throughout the process. I loved how I was constantly updated through text and if I ever had any questions I could easily send her a quick message. Don't go to this caliber collision!!! !...especial if Danial Rhodes " service advisor"is goin to be in charge of your vehicle!..long story short the techs that work here don't know what they are doing and will leave your truck unfinished and Danial not doing his job correctly he wont even make sure the truck is 100% ready to be turned in to customer, truck was there for a month with minor issues and couldn't get the job right..but yet again they can charge alot of money to the insurance and cant get the job done right pathetic!!! Truck was left with missing screws on bumper... front bumper has dust contamination and orange peel and paint is faded...they ordered rims and they are different colors had sensors popping up when they had already supposably fixed the issue... they order new fender liners for truck and they were replaced still have my old ones..worst collision center by far!! UPDATE: 46 days and counting, and no response even after I emailed the email communitymanager@calibercollision.com in the review response. They obviously don't care about customer service. Caliber has had my vehicle for 43 days and counting, and the repair still hasn't been completed. The original Caliber location where I left my vehicle transferred it to this location because they were "less busy." I can see why. Throughout this process, the communication has been poor. I received many generic updates with little substance and false assurances. The promised delivery dates have come and gone. When they attempted delivery, there were significant panel gaps between the hood and fender, scratches all over the vehicle (appears to be a sloppy buffer/car wash), stains on the vehicle paint (hopefully, it was just dried soap that wasn't washed off), and missing parts (under the bumper). I was told that my matter was escalated to the GM, but even he has yet to return my call, which was promised two days ago. I called and asked to speak with him, and he was in "all-day meetings." I have been extremely patient with Caliber, but at this point, I'm frustrated with the way they've handled our vehicle. I'm going to hope that we get our vehicle back soon the way it should have been returned to us in the first place. For now, I would not recommend using this shop on Culebra & 410. read more

I recently took my wife's car there after hitting a monster size pothole. Side note be careful going down 35 South or 410 splits. There is a monster pop hole in the slow lane... From start to finish it was the best experience I've had at a car shop in recent memory. Carlos was very knowledgeable and friendly and came up to me as I sat outside to ask me if you could help. I told him who I was he said oh you're my first appointment and and everything after that went smoothly. He kept me informed and even went an extra step to deliver the vehicle to my wife at work and pick up the rental vehicle. Carlos, thank you very much. I don't know about the company as a whole. My car was stolen and the whole situation was very chaotic. Mario is the most helpful automotive person I've ever met in my life. He was super understanding and he took super good care of me. If Mario changed companies I would try to move my business to wherever he is. I've had bad experiences at other companies in this franchise. Mario made all that better and really did do a huge service to me and my family. I have used the Caliber Collision location on San Pedro in San Antonio several times and have been very happy with the quality of work and service from that location. My wife was in a minor accident which caused damage to the front passenger side quarter panel, lights and bumper. I wanted my vehicle to be sent to the San Pedro location but for some reason they sent it to the NW Loop 410 location. It took a while to get repairs done which is completely understandable in todays environment with difficulty in getting parts. My issue is when we picked the vehicle up and drove off the lot we immediately noticed a whistling sound coming from the passenger side front door that was not there prior to the accident. We reached back out to this repair location and they had us bring the vehicle back in for inspection. We were told they had neglected to put a part on and asked us to bring the vehicle back in when they received the part which we did. After the second time in the shop we were told the issue was corrected. When we picked the vehicle up and drove off the parking lot we immediately noticed the same whistling sound. I strongly recommend you avoid this location if at all possible. For the following reasons: 1). If they had test driven the car properly after the first repairs just getting on the frontage road in front of their shop they would have noticed the problem and not contacted us the car was ready until they fixed the issue. They either did not test drive the car properly or did and just didn't care to fix the problem. 2). Same issue for the second time we were told the whistling sound was fixed. Had they test driven the car properly there is no way they wouldn't have known it was not fixed. They either didn't test drive the vehicle properly or did and just don't care about the quality of their service. This makes me wonder about the quality of the other repairs to my vehicle. 3). When I was contacted to pick up the vehicle the second time I was told they noticed the vehicle needed a front end alignment so they took care of that for us. This was a surprise to me since I specifically asked when I picked up the vehicle the first time if they had done a front end realignment and was told they had. Now I'm not sure it was ever done which is a concern because of the type of accident my wife was in. My experience with Caliber Collision has been excellent prior to working with their San Antonio NW Loop 410 location. I can recommend Caliber Collision in general - I just strongly recommend you avoid this location if at all possible. read more

I wish I could leave a 0 star review. My vehicle was hit in an accident last year on the driver side and since then my truck has had continued damage after they "repaired" my bumper, only to find my tire is being torn apart by my fender and my chasis. I look under my truck and my suspension is shot through the assembly. I have left multiple messages to contact Ben, who not only lied to my face, but falsified a report to my insurance stating that it was impossible that I drove my vehicle with a broken suspension even after I drove my truck to and from this shop in particular. The integrity of this shop is absolute garbage and I would never suggest anyone bring their vehicle here. read more

My truck has been at the local Caliber Collision center since the 3 of Nov being worked on From time to time. The customer service I received from Caliber Collisions is well let's say less then desirable I had a Office Manager answer a phone call and I quote " what's up BRO" when questioned her about it she straight up lied My wife who was in the rental with me heard her say it and even questioned her about it. They along with my insurance company implied that I had made a false claim when they in turn added items to the claim and went ahead fixed some thing with out notifying me or my insurance company and made it out like they were doing me a favor. Other then waiting on calls back from my service advisor that lasted days even at times having to call again to get ahold of them to ask simple questions to get no clear answers. To bad Yelp does not have a negative rating system so I had to give them one star rating to be able to make my post. read more

This is one of those businesses you hope you never have to visit. But when you do, it's nice that places like Caliber make it as pain-free as possible. I've been hit twice in parking lots in the last year (with damage to the exact same part of my car!). Both times I've had it fixed at Caliber. Both repairs to my car were completed ahead of schedule, and the quality of the work is excellent. My car is a particularly bright gloss red, which is notoriously difficult to match. But Caliber nails it. The people who work there are friendly and help to make the best of what is inherently an unpleasant situation. They also have representatives for USAA and GEICO (and possibly other companies) on site to fill out all the forms needed to get the repair started quickly. I especially liked the fact that my rep called me at the end of each day to let me know exactly what was going on in the repair. read more

I am very pleased with this location and with the representative Ben Negron, whom helped us during the entire process. My husband and I were able to reach ben every time we had a question. The manager Robert also spoke to us and honestly that made me feel like we weren't just another vehicle at a shop. I highly recommend this location when something happens to your vehicle . My Jeep was rear-ended by an Airman from Lackland AFB (texting and driving, go figure!) and my insurance company suggested I bring it to Caliber for repair. It was a low-impact collision: a dented liftgate and bumper. The dent in the liftgate was pulled and the bumper itself replaced. Caliber also had to paint the new bumper to match and repaint the liftgate to remove some scratches associated with the crash. The paint didn't exactly match and they never replaced the 'Jeep' badge on the back. It's a 10-year old Jeep and nothing on it is perfect, so I wasn't going to complain much. My insurance company sent me a satisfaction survey in which Caliber received below average marks, mostly because the paint didn't match and that's not hard to do if you're careful and don't cheap-out on the paint. The manager called me the next day to enquire and when I explained the deficincies to him, the call turned form an enquiry into an angry harangue. All in all, it took ten days. I got daily status updates from a manager whose missives were neither comforting nor helpful: all I wanted was to get my Jeep back! I suppose I wouldn't be so irate but for the fact that several months later the same Jeep was rear-ended again, but much more severely, necessitating replacement of the liftgate itself, bumper, tail lights, and body cladding. I took it instead to Service King where it was repaired in less than seven days, and without the annoying calls from a dimwit manager. They even replaced the missing 'Jeep' badges Caliber wouldn't. Given how long Caliber took to repair the Jeep relative to Service King, especially given the relative simplicity of the repair, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't collect kickbacks from the Enterprise next-door, from whom my insurance company provided me with a rental car. They seem to know one another quite well and this isn't the sort of thing anybody keeps track of. If you care about quality, service, or simply getting your car back in a reasonable amount of time, go to Service King instead. The Caliber guys are a waste of oxygen. read more

POOR repair job and POOR customer service!!!!!! I called Caliber to tell them something was wrong with my truck after the drive home from picking up my truck from them. I explained my situation (that i was going out of town the next day and needed my truck fixed before I left on my road trip). The shop manager said he would call me at 8am the next morning to set up a time to fix the vehicle that day, since he knew I'd be driving the vehicle out of town that evening at 4pm and I needed the repair made before I left. He never called at the time he said he would call. He did call around 2pm, but by that time it was too late to have him come out to get the truck. So, I went home and spent an hour fixing the truck myself before i left for my road trip. Good thing I'm good with tools. In summary, POOR REPAIR WORK AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would NOT recommend Caliber.....as a matter of fact I still feel that there's something wrong with the way the bumper has been attached and will have to have it looked at by Caliber when I find the time. With so many body shops in town, I would advise you to try another. read more

The aftermath of getting into a car wreck can be SUCH a pain, but Dariela made the transition practically painless. Her customer service and knowledge were off the charts. Took my 2022 Ford Maverick to them after a deer hit the front end, the insurance company insisted I take it to them. After over 5 months I finally got it back, the long wait was not there fault. But the condition my truck was in when I got it back was. There were pieces missing that held my front grill trim piece on. Also the driver side headlight was not secure due to a missing grommet. There was also two spots on the under side of the hood that were not addressed. I was told they didn't see them. Also the hood and fenders were not aligned properly. I took it back after they got the necessary pieces to attach the grill and headlight and the service advisor said they addressed the misaligned hood and fenders but they were still not correct. I left very disappointed in the service I received the service advisor Mario. I would not recommend anyone using Caliber Collision and I will be discussing this with my insurance company. I would like to discuss this with the manager of this location and see if I can get this resolved. read more

***Take pictures of your vehicle before hand and inspect it before getting it back. They cause damage*** This Caliber Collision received my car to be fixed by my insurance agency. After two weeks of having the car, when I went to pick it up they had not fixed the front fender, botched the tape job above the window, didn't fix my mirror, and left residue all over the car. **THEY also scratched and cracked my front bumper** After 30 minutes to an hour of arguing with my advisor and another advisor even though they acknowledged that the damage was not there in the pictures even they took before hand and they did it, they finally agreed to fix the damage that THEY caused. Two more days later and they fixed the damage they caused and the botched repair job. Ladies!!! Pay attention or you will be taken advantage of. read more

They are about the worst company I have ever dealt with. They do not take care of repeat customers like myself. They do not honor their lifetime warranty. We spent over $18,000 on 2 cars and they actually would not fix a problem that they caused. I had to hire an attorney to get the manufacturer to fix the problem. Caliber still would not honor their warranty. My attorney said we would win a lawsuit against them for deceptive trade practices, but it would be a hassle. They really proved to be dishonest and went out of their way to steal from me. It cost me money after they "fixed " my vehicle. And, that is after receiving over $9,000 from me and my insurance company. read more

This location was recommended to us by a good friend of ours and I felt a lot better immediately dealing with everyone here. Everyone was very understanding and comforting throughout the entire process. They kept us up to date on whatever was going on with our vehicle through text and calls daily. My vehicle required a lot of body work involving paint, and I'm really pleased to say that they did an absolutely amazing job with the paint job on the vehicle matching the original paint exactly! Took my car there February of 2016 around the 9th. I didn't get my car back until the end of March which whatever I could live without my car for a while. What I didn't like about the whole experience was that the guy that was handling my case said he would call me weekly for updates but he did no such thing. I was the one that had to call constantly and I always got the he's in a meeting excuse. When I finally got my car back it was missing a piece to the lock(which they lost) and my windshield fluid Reservoir was leaking. I told them and he told me he would order the parts and call me to bring the car back. I figured ok they're no big deal right now the car runs and by that time I didn't have any money left for a rental. So I took it and went home to wait. A year and 2 months later I still don't have the parts I need. I've called numerous times and I constantly get the run around and the I'll call you back and nothing. I have never had such a horrible experience in my life when it came to having work done on my car. I'd give them no stars if I could.*** update*** made a complaint to my insurance so they called them. Then miraculously the guy that handles my claim was in the office and he had the parts to my car. My insurance asked me to give them another chance because they had already paid them for the parts and labor so I complied. I made an appointment for the following week to drop off my car then when I showed up the people at the front desk had no clue about me because they weren't notified about the appointment. They went to talk to the guy on my claim and he just gave a glance told them to let someone else handle it then went about whay 5he was doing. So I waited another 10 mins before someone came to talk to me to ask me what needed to be done on the car because it wasn't relayed to him and he had no idea what was going on. I gave him the keys and I was told they would let me know what happens. So I waited all day no phone call again so I've been without a car all day. Wake up the next morning wait a couple hours after they open to see if someone would call nothing. I called them because not having a car when you have things to do is very annoying. When I called again no one knew anything about my car so I had to explain again. The receptionist proceeded to tell me that yet again the guy that handles my claim is no where to be found and that he would call me back!! So I'm furious now I called my insurance let them know what's going on and they said for me to pick another body shop to take my car to. I can't get my car out of there fast enough. I will never take another vehicle there again. read more

Every person I spoke with, in the office or on the tech side was knowledgeable regarding the work needed and the time it would take. I don't have to give the whole story on why I'm giving this a one star rating. In brief, here is what my experience with these folks has been like: On January 8, 2015, my silver 2012 Nissan Altima was struck by a hit and run (uninsured) driver who ran a red light. He took out my rear quarter panel, passenger side, and the passenger door was off true, slightly dented, and the bumper was also toast. It looked like there may have been some damage to the tire rim as well, but I was not sure at the time. I was told at one point--after the FIRST TIME Caliber had exceeded the time they had said it would take to repair my car--that there was some frame damage, and they had to remove the rear window and replace it, (though I'm not sure why, as it did not appear damaged to me). So with the frame issue, the window issue, etc., my insurance coverage of my rental car expired. When I brought this to Caliber's attention, (by this time they had been "working" on my car for a MONTH), the manager, Robert, agreed to pick up the cost for the remaining time. The day my car would be ready for pickup kept changing. First it was January 9. Then it was February 6. Then it was February 12. Then it was February 13. Friday. I was told the car would be ready by 5:30, and I could come to pick it up. At 5:11 p.m. as I was trapped in the parking lot which is the 410 Loop here, making my way to Caliber, they called and said...oops! Car wasn't ready. But Monday the 16 it would absolutely, positively be ready for pickup. One problem: I wasn't going to be in town to pick it up. And the next opportunity I would have would by February 26, my next day off. Robert again agreed to keep paying for the rental car. But still. What the BLOODY HELL WAS GOING ON HERE?? Okay, so now, today, February 23, I called and told them I was off sick and could come to get my car. One problem though--it wasn't ready. My rep said she'd check into it and call me later today. She didn't. So I still don't have my car. After all this time, and all the lies and BS, I have no doubt these, um, people are going to try to charge me for my deductible. Nope. Not happening. They had best be prepared for an ugly, loud and very public scene if they try that with ME. Only in the Caliber Collision Universe could it take over SEVEN WEEKS to make repairs of this nature on a car of this make and model. If you value your time, your sanity and your cash, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE. They must think I have lived over half a century and gotten dumber with time. The truth is I know quite a bit about cars, and there is no way they have been honest with me, and no way they can justify taking this long to fix my car. If by some weird chance you drop by, ask them about that 2012 Nissan they took about two MONTHS to fix a rear quarter panel. I'm sure it'll make an interesting story. And here's something for Caliber to chew on: You don't have the courtesy to return my call today? Then guess what? You're not going to stop paying for my rental car until February 26, when you were expecting me to pick it up, and I will. And if there is ANYTHING...and I do mean ANYTHING wrong with my car you will repair it again, pay for my rental car again, and answer to my insurance company, whom I have already told to stop recommending Caliber. After hearing my story, they've agreed. So your unspeakably bad service just cost you a lot more than one customer. That's right, Robert, you CAN'T put a price on good will. But I sure can put a price on the bad will you've generated by putting me through this Hell. Congratulations. You've been Yelped. read more
