Ok, the garlic fries are a classic San Francisco appetizer and they do it right here! They don't skip on the cheese or the garlic. Be prepared to have garlic breath for the rest of the day. There have been a few misses at this resto. For one, my husband didn't enjoy the hot chicken sandwich. He could take heat, but he mentioned that it was too hot to even enjoy the flavor. It would be better if there was a custom heat level. Another thing that I didn't care for was the soft serve. For almost $7, the soft serve was disappointing. I've had a good amount of soft serve from other establishments and not only have they been tastier, they were half the price. They say there are no kings but one local restaurant which is the darling of San Francisco has become the king of burgers in San Francisco, California, USA. One of my favorite things I like about some restaurant is their collaboration ( not social media collaborations) with other restaurants. The Super Duper and The Bird collaboration is what San Francisco needed. The Bird has one of my favorite chicken sandwiches. I had to get it at Super Duper on the Sunset Strip of San Francisco. They also have wine and a spiked shake. You can also get soft serve ice treats and the softserve machine won't be out of order like at most McDonald's. The restaurant is cleaner now. There's actually someone wiping down the tables tonight. Most of the tables were filled at 8:30pm on a Wednesday night. Previously, I ate at a nearby restaurant but was still hungry. A burger would be too much, so I opted for some Super Duper garlic fries $4.75. Was introduced to Super Duper recently by a co-worker and I said yes. Located in the Inner Sunset- this is a family run business with many franchise locations but the core of their values is fresh, organic products at affordable prices. Think elevated fast food on an organic level. At first walk in, you are greeted by an extensive menu of burgers (including vegetarian options), salads, fries, house made pickles and soft serve ice cream. I ordered the super salad (which contains mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, quinoa and pumpkin seeds) topped with a veggie patty and Caesar dressing on the side. Let me tell you- 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I even added pickles on the side which were fresh and crunch with a hint of dill. I get a craving for Super Duper every few months, and it never disappoints. Their smash burgers always have a good char, and the house made pickles are a big selling point for me (I eat... a lot... of them). Their regular burgers are pretty reasonable, the seasonal burgers are fun although significantly pricier. I'm just okay on the garlic fries. The soft serve is pretty good, I order it with the chocolate shell and enjoy hacking my spoon through it on the walk out. Order and pick up at the counter, although if they aren't too busy they will bring your food to you. You can order at a kiosk or at the register. The burger was good with the tomato, lettuce, and grilled onions, but it needed a bit of salt, I think, because it didn't come out and grab me. Don't get me wrong, it was still really good and certainly filling enough, but it just didn't leave me wanting more! The fries were good and the milkshake was really thick and "chocolatey". Love that they have their house made pickles out and you can take as much as you want; really nice addition. They also serve selections from The Bird, but even though I love the chicken sandwiches from them, I figured I had to order a burger since that's their specialty. Feeling a bit indecisive, as I've always loved super duper. I was around the area after lunch elsewhere and we wanted some soft serve. We debated between the regular size or kids size since we were still full from lunch and ended up going with the kids size today. It was good, but the cone was actually empty inside (forgot to take a picture). We've ordered the kids size before and the cone was heavy and filled all the way to the bottom and the soft serve itself was a bit taller. Not sure if we just got lucky that prior visit or if today was an off day. Also, we didn't pay attention till after the fact, but it's silly that when you select a 'to go' order and order only a soft served, you get charged a bag fee. Obviously, there was no bag that was given. So that was a bit misleading. Other than that, it's a new place so it's clean and spacious with self order kiosk if you're feeling anti social. There's also a small station with ketchup, mustard, and their homemade pickles. The staff are awesome! Super patient, nice, and managers (?) would walk around checking if people were satisfied or needed anything. The mini burger is my definition of a basic burger, but it was good. I wish it had a little bit more sauce on it though (I'm a sauce gworl). The fries were hot, crispy, and yummy. They didn't come salted, but you can find salt at the condiments station. The pickle was good too and not too vinegary. The food was just ok in my opinion. Saw the seasonal special Mocha Almond Crunch Milkshake and it sounded good, so had to try it. I could taste chocolate, but didn't get much coffee flavor or almond crunch in the milkshake. My wife said she tasted the crunchy bits of almond in the milkshake. Overall for the price of $7 I'm not sure it was worth it. Didn't satisfy my milkshake craving. 3.5 stars for the milkshake. The interior of the restaurant was clean, larger than expected, and has a good amount of seating. You can place your order using touch screen tablets or order with someone at the counter. When you place your order for to go there is a mandatory convenience/ bag fee. When I placed the order for the milk shake it was $0.25 I asked the person behind the counter if I'm charged the fee if I ordered through him and he said yes. Told him I'm just ordering a drink to go and don't need a bag and he said I can just place the order for dine-in and let them know I want it for to go to avoid the fee, which worked. There should be an option to decline a bag to avoid the bag fee. Customer service was friendly and the milkshake was made quickly. I haven't tried their burgers yet, so I'll update this review when I try their burgers in the future. For now this review is for their Mocha Almond Crunch Milkshake. read more

Their seasonal truffle burger is my new holy grail burger. It's got the beefiness and juiciness that I'm always searching for in a bite. And the extra umami that the truffle oil provides really sends it over the edge. It's a pretty small burger though. They don't allow modifications with their seasonal burgers but I was able to add jalapenos when I ordered with a worker at the Market St. location.
