I came to San Francisco to visit. I stayed in the downtown location on Market. The hotel recommended me Super Duper Burger. The food was really delicious with a beer. After arriving in San Francisco, my daughter and I decided to grab lunch at Super Duper Burgers since it was within walking distance of our hotel. It ended up being a great first meal after traveling. My daughter ordered the cheeseburger with a side of regular fries. The burger comes pretty simple with just the beef and cheese, but you can customize it with lettuce, tomato, sauces, and other toppings if you'd like. She kept hers simple and said it was one of the best burgers she's ever had. The fries were also cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not over- or undercooked. I decided to try the garlic Parmesan fries. The flavor was delicious, especially the garlic, but since we ordered our food to go, most of the Parmesan ended up staying on the top layer of fries instead of being mixed throughout. They were still really good, but I think they would have been even better if the cheese had been more evenly distributed. We also shared a chocolate milkshake. It was smooth and creamy, but it wasn't as sweet as I expected. It tasted more like a rich dark chocolate than a classic sweet chocolate shake. It was still enjoyable, just different from what I was anticipating. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. The food was fresh, the location was convenient, and it was an easy walk from our hotel. While it's probably not somewhere we'd visit multiple times during the same trip, it's definitely a solid choice if you're looking for a good burger while exploring San Francisco. read more

Wanted to try this chain since I've been seeing it everywhere in the Bay. Came around noon on a Sunday and ordered via the tablet. It was fairly busy but the order was ready quickly within 5-10 minutes! Mini burger was a little salty from the Super sauce but it tasted very fresh, I liked the soft bun and variety of veggies. The beef patty was very thick so they don't skimp on that. French fries weren't anything special but they were yummy and could've been a little crispier. Tried to reach out directly to their customer service but my email went unanswered. Stopped at your 721 Market Street location at approximately 4:51 PM on June 9, 2026. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was clean, orderly, and well-maintained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, the ordering process was frustrating and somewhat unwelcoming, as customers are required to place orders through a self-service terminal. I wanted to order my burger lettuce-wrapped with extra lettuce and tomato. Unfortunately, there was no option on the kiosk to request extra lettuce, so I had to ask an employee for assistance. She was very pleasant and helpful and assured me she would notify the kitchen of my request. My son ordered the Happy Hour special, which included free fries with the purchase of a spiked shake. This promotion was not reflected on the ordering terminal, so we again had to ask an employee for assistance. She informed us she would make sure the free fries were added to our order. When our food arrived, my request for extra lettuce and tomato had not been accommodated. Additionally, the burger was extremely greasy. The lettuce was wilted from the amount of grease soaking into it, making it very unappetizing. The burger was also excessively salty. My son, who is typically not a picky eater, also commented on how greasy his burger was. It has been quite some time since we last visited Super Duper, and our usual location has been Los Gatos. Unfortunately, this experience was nothing like we remembered. The food quality was disappointing and far below our expectations. After we arrived home, both my son and I experienced indigestion, heartburn, and upset stomachs. My son went straight to bed because he was feeling uncomfortable, and I was still experiencing stomach discomfort several hours later. This was my second time at this burger place. Years ago, a friend had recommended it. I don't usually visit burger places when traveling, but we just needed a quick lunch between museum visits and it was convenient. Great food offering burgers fries pickles and soft serve! *Soft serve- I'm rather unhappy about my large size chocolate dipped soft serve cone. It seemed pretty small given the amount of soft serve I received. I would have thought it would have been bigger, seeing there were kids and large size options (at diff prices). Looking at other people's pics, some people got more taller soft serve in their cones, so it doesn't seem consistent, depending on who ends up making your cone. Anyway choco vanilla swirl soft serve itself is yummy, also very messy to eat so have napkins ready! Service- not that friendly and felt cold. We stopped by during Pride weekend, and even though the line looked long, it moved surprisingly fast thanks to the self-service ordering kiosks. My friend and I shared the mini burger and garlic fries, and both were really good. They couldn't cut our burger in half, but they kindly gave us a plastic fork so we could split it ourselves, which I appreciated. Sunday afternoon, convention's over, I need something to eat before a overly long flight home (another story) I decide, ya know what, I need something quick, let's go back to Super Duper! This time I got a full meal - veggie burger, garlic parmesan fries, and a chocolate vanilla swirl kids-sized shake. The burger was so incredibly fresh tasting, and the shake wasn't overly sweet, had a lovely bittersweet chocolate tone. I like that they have small sized shakes so you can indulge without too much guilt. I thought the fries had a nice flavor, but seemed a bit soggy/missing some crisp. Haven't had Super Duper in a LONG time! I always passed by this spot but never went inside! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Looks small on the outside but it's actually pretty big inside! There's even an upstairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is two kiosk to order from and you add in your own number to the buzzer, the pay. Once your order is ready, the buzzer will buzz for you to pick up your food. You pick any seat you want. There are pickles, ketchup, and mustard on the side to pick up along with napkins, etc. If you want water, you'll need to ask for a water cup. I got the mini burger with everything on it and added the grilled onion and jalapeños - it was so good. Fries was crispy as well! Both were delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restrooms have codes on them. Maybe there should be a bigger lock to lock from the inside cause people don't read the "occupied" sign and can still open the door with the code.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's barely any parking around. We stopped by this Super Duper location while shopping around Union Square for a quick meal. I wasn't super hungry so I just got the mini burger with tomato, lettuce and carmelized onions. The burger was yummy and a great portion for a mini burger. I enjoyed the slightly greasy beef patty with the fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Love that they have caramelized onions as a complimentary topping, it added so much flavor to the burger Also shoutout to the house-made pickles. I ordered through DoorDash even though it's only .2 miles away because I'm part lazy and part busy with work. Not my favorite Super Duper location (in terms of cleanliness), but still a solid one. You can't go wrong with any Super Duper, honestly. My only gripes about their food are that (1) their pickle is of the bread and butter variety. It should only ever be DILL. JUSTICE FOR DILL PICKLES and (2) the ciabatta bun is always dry and hard. I went to this Super Duper for dinner at around 8pm. It might be best to come in earlier. Certain items I wanted were out of stock. Like the bacon, and the lemonade. Adding Portobello mushrooms, jack, cheese, avocado, grilled onions, etc. The works! It didn't take long for the food to come, all freshly made. I also ordered garlic cheese fries. Topped with aged white cheddar. Served fresh, hot, and smelling swell. The location is small, but there is ample seating. On both levels. Upstairs has a capacity max of 16!! The place was busy. My food was yummy, from the patty, to the toppings, to the artisanal bun, to the sauces, etc. Very satisfied with the taste of the foods overall. I look forward to returning, mainly for a sustainably farmed, vegetarian fed, ground daily, beef burger. Topped with bacon and much more. The homemade pickles were a total let down. They look fine and were texturally just right. To me, the taste was way off. I take it, they hadn't been pickled for long enough in the juice/vinegar solution. Probably were too fresh/young and not yet ready to be served. Maybe it's my particular palate. It did not detect a distinct dill flavor or any spices. No huge deal, just kind of odd to me. Extremely disappointed packaging disaster and way too greasy I ordered from here and was shocked by how oily the food was so much excess oil that it soaked right through the bag and ended up dripping onto my clothes (see photos). The packaging was completely inadequate for how greasy the food was. Not only did it ruin the experience, but it also left stains on my pants. I expect better care and attention from any restaurant doing takeout. Please improve your packaging and consider draining or wrapping oily items better. A total mess. read more
