This is my definition of a perfect wrap. The creaminess from the avocado, the light saltiness from the white cheddar, the crunchiness from the veggies, all topped with tangy Italian dressing. I just love the combination of the ingredients so much, and I feel so satisfied and happy when I eat this. The best part is, it's healthy and fresh! And I get 2 meals out of this. California chicken salad: 1000/5. It's really good and surprisingly filling, especially considering that I usually am the type to order salad as a side. Here, it's my main dish. Everything is so fresh and yummy, and this comes out to 2 meals too. Caesar wrap: 3.75/5. This was just okay to me. Personally, I need a bit of creaminess in a wrap (like from avocados or hummus), and I felt like this was missing that. The caesar dressing was just okay to me too - I enjoy the punch from typical caesar dressings, but I felt like this one was more mild. Luckily I ordered a side of BBQ sauce for more flavor but it was a bit salty. Love the crunch from the pita chips though! Service is pretty good. There's usually a wait during the lunch rush hour here, so it's best to order online to avoid that. One time, I ordered for dinner, and they gave me 2 pieces of rotisserie chicken for free! So simple, but so good! Everyone in my family is a fan of CCC, and we are glad that this is back in our rotation after we used to be regulars at their Westside location. Bonus points because the simple and clean flavors are kid-friendly whether in wrap or salad form, and the chicken is always juicy and tasty. Ordering is quick and easy at the ordering kiosk at the front of the restaurant. There are large menu boards both at the entrance and overhead in front of the kitchen. We ordered salads and found a table in the outdoor seating area (no indoor seating, but that was fine since it was a beautiful day out). But everything they have there is good from the salads to the chicken and all the sides . The only disappointing thing about this chain is that ever since Covid they no longer have indoor dining . Today was the last time I will ever be visiting this location. My husband is allergic to tomatoes. I specifically ordered Melrose Wrap with no tomatoes. When we arrived to pick up our order, we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our chicken to be ready. After our 30 minute drive home, he opened his wrap & finds tomatoes inside. I will say I felt like it was missing something like fries or chips but I'm a texture eater so I needed an extra something with this but can't say exactly what. This is a new location in the Chargers Plaza. I've never been to this chain so I was super excited to try the Caesar Chicken Wrap! The ordering system was very interesting- it was set up like a Togo station where you order and wait outside for your name to be called (all orders prepared in Togo bags). The Caesar Chicken Wrap itself was super tasty but you definitely need to order it with a side of extra dressing just because it can get dry. Overall a good place that makes you feel like you can stay on the healthy but fun side! I used to frequent California Chicken Cafe when I lived in the Westside many years ago so I was excited to hear they opened a location in El Segundo. However, it doesn't seem to be what I remembered. The Chicken Caesar Salad was decent but the dressing lost the tasty zest/tang that I remember it to have. No one answered the phone, and when I briefly pulled up and honked, staff waved me off and laughed. It would've been so easy for someone to quickly and safely ask what I needed. Then the order was wrong: our Double Chicken Salad didn't have double chicken, and the Melrose Wrap had the Chinese Chicken Salad dressing, which didn't pair well at all. When I called, the call center agent was hard to understand, defensive, and only offered a small refund -- which never came. I even submitted the issue online and never got a response. The seasoning is just right, but you would be wise to dip it in the chipotle dressing. A side of Chinese Cabbage Salad is like a sweet coleslaw , a refreshing contrast to all the meat. The more I ate, the more I liked it. I've been eating at Cal Chicken since they opened years ago usually at the Venice location when you could still dine in. I've always written to and suggested to management in person that they need to increase the size of the chicken they serve. Disappointingly it is literally 50% smaller than KFC and other area chicken joints. KFC is much larger and always juicy and fresh. El Pollo Norteno is fire grilled but it's much larger and always moist and juicy. Golden Eagle is broasted with large pieces and it's cooked to order always hot and juicy. Today's chicken was small AND not at all juicy or moist. It was dry! Our order was missing utensils and one side order! I can't keep dining until they increase the size of the chicken and learn how to not overcook it. read more
