After reading the great reviews, I gave Raffi a call and he quoted a fair rate and was able to schedule us in quickly. I chose this company to re-pipe my rental and install a new sewer line based on the other very positive Yelp reviews. My experience was not great. The PROS: Raffi's bid was very reasonable and he left the site nice and clean. The work was performed quickly. He is very pleasant to deal with. The CONS: The worker Raffi assigned to the re-piping portion of our job: A) knocked a bunch of gas pipes loose and caused some major gas leaks under the house. B) did not hook up the dishwasher, and in fact did not even install supply lines for the dishwasher, so there was no where to hook up the dishwasher, and he just threw the dishwasher hookup lines under the dishwasher. This is beyond not-very-professional. To his credit, when I told Raffi about this, he immediately fixed it and put in dishwasher supply lines and hooked up the dishwasher. Raffi had his crew bury the sewer line before inspection was completed and when he found out we had to re-dig it up, told me I had to pay for it. In the end, he did not charge me, but he should have left it open until inspection was completed to begin with. Raffi installed a faulty gas shut off - I had to turn it back on about every other day and kept complaining - at first, Raffi blamed the gardener for bumping it - but the gardener only comes once a week and the gas shut off was shutting off every other day...after complaining for a month, Raffi came and switched out the gas shut off valve - and we didn't have a problem with it after that. Because I had so much work done on my project, Raffi offered to install a new toilet that I had purchased for my own home for free. I chose to pay another plumber to install it for me. read more

Scheduled an appointment to install a dishwasher last Thursday and had appointment for today (Monday). Rafi was able to get an appointment scheduled quickly for a time that worked well. Also, I was pleasantly surprised when he said he'd be there by 10 and was there within 5 minutes of the time given. Rafi had a second employee show up to finish the job quickly and as the second man worked on uninstalling the old machine Rafi took time to look around the house to point out to this new homeowner where all of the major pipes were (something I hadn't made time to do myself). Then, back inside, the old machine was swiftly removed and placed outside to be replaced by the new machine standing by. The job was done quickly and within an hour, as promised. The price was great compared to all other plumbers I could find that provided similar services. Timing was prompt and service was pleasant. Five stars! read more

I needed to replace a whole bunch of lower grade water shut off valves around the house (6 valves total). It was finally time when the water valves started to leak when I tried shutting it off to upgrade a kitchen faucet. This was definitely not a job I wanted to do so we looked into a professional. Seeing that he had great reviews on yelp, I called Rafi to inform him on my plumbing problems. Over the phone he offered to give me some free advice to save me some money and fix the problem myself. Unforutnately, the advice couldn't be applied to my sitatuion due to the type of valve we currently have. Luckily for me, Rafi quoted me an excellent price, so I scheduled and appointment with him for a 9AM job. He showed up exactly at 9AM. This guy is punctual! He replaced all the valve in my house within an hour. Unfortunately, he only planned to be at my place for an hour due to other appointments he needed to be at that day. If he had a little more time, I would've given him more business as I needed to have him check out a leaky shower faucet and perhaps have him install my new kitchen faucet. All in all, Rafi knew what he was doing as a well seasoned plumber. He's punctual and professional. Raffi's one of the nicest, most honest guys we've hired. He's fixed a toilet leak for us in the past, which wasn't an expensive fix, so he charged us much less than we were expecting and adjusted our tank so that we used less water to save us money on our water bill. Today, we had him come for two things: 1. Water heater maintenance - After a quick look over, Raffi said the water heater was probably 12+ years old and if we did maintenance on it, it'd probably cause it to stop working due to the sediment already accumulated likely creating a blockage. With the water heater at its end of life, he recommended that we just replace it soon before it becomes an emergency situation. I had been thinking of getting a tankless as well, but he said we didn't need it for the number of people living in our house. It wouldn't be worth it. It'd also have to be placed elsewhere because they have to be 3ft. from any windows in case of carbon monoxide. Raffi - saving us money and lookin' out for our safety! :D 2. Sump pump issue - Our washer is connected to a sump pump out back by our garage and we noticed that it wasn't pumping. Assuming there was a blockage or leak, we asked Raffi to take a look at it. After about 5 minutes, he called me over to point out that the power had just tripped and he had pushed the button to reset it. It didn't even occur to me that our sump pump was plugged in. I assumed it was hard-wired. We tested it with an empty load from the washer and sure enough, it started pumping. Raffi - Fixing things for computer professionals who didn't check if the plug was in and the power was on! :D Though he made the drive and spent a short while with me, Raffi didn't charge us a thing. ("For what? Pushing a button?") I highly recommend him if you want someone who will give you solid advice, help you save money, and won't give you (too much) crap for not checking the plug. read more
