First review I have ever written, but I had to sit down and write about the excellent work performed today by Jim Salazar and his crew at California Machinery Movers. From start to finish, their work was excellent. I had them move a large 3,000 lb. kiln from behind a residence (including through a narrow covered patio with tile flooring, with columns and other fragile obstacles, then through a very tight opening between a garage and the main house), and then had it delivered to the back of another residence -- all the while having to grapple with steps and soft uneven terrain, where a forklift could not go. Kiln was placed exactly where it needed to be, and they worked hard to get it there. Great communication during the scheduling processes, with Jim and his staff promptly responded to questions and concerns, provided a written quote with a competitive price, followed up before the move to ensure everything was properly thought through and planned, showed up on time (actually early), brought the right equipment, found solutions to challenges during the move, and he and his team worked together really well to get the move done. Importantly, the high caliber of Jim's personal character and business integrity was front and center throughout the process. Recently we needed to have some large items moved and they needed to be moved as quickly as possible! We already had a quote from another machinery moving company that we had used before. Their bid was higher than we had hoped it might be, but not entirely unreasonable given the nature of the items to be moved and the distance involved. On a whim, we checked the Internet to see if we could find another company willing to tackle our equipment move. California Machinery Movers not only quoted a lower price, they rearranged their schedule to accommodate our schedule! Less than 24 hours after I originally contacted California Machinery Movers, our equipment was already loaded on one of their trucks and headed our way. Our equipment was delivered that afternoon! Their driver was professional and their truck, trailer, and big forklift looked like someone had spent hours washing and polishing them. Very professional in every way! Checking my email after the delivery of our equipment I found an email from the "other" company. Apparently they had miscalculated their quote and were raising it by approximately 50%. That's right! So not only was California Machinery Movers able to handle our job faster, they ultimately did it for a significantly lower price! What a pleasant surprise! Overall - Excellent customers service, well coordinated and professional move team, came equipped with the proper moving materials, adjusted to and worked around active construction while maintaining the protection of all equipment being moved, gladly accommodated last minute, out of scope, requests from our end-users. This is my second time using this company to move machine tools. I have used other machinery movers in the past, but California Machinery Movers have been the best. Mark was very helpful in scheduling, and making sure I had a quote sent out promptly. Jim Salazar is very skilled and hires very good people. Both the moves they did for me were full of complications that required thought and clever maneuvering. They are very competitive in the quotes. They were early at the job site, and brought good reliable equipment. Every job is unique, and the quotes are based on accessibility information provided by the client. If the machine tools require more "skating" to get moved, Jim is very honest in adjusting quotes to reflect the additional labor and time. In the world of Machinery Movers, there are those that "get the job done" and then you have California Machinery Movers....they operate at a far superior level. Beginning with Ellie and office staff all the way out to the site and "the boys" doing the heavy lifting. They professionally unloaded and moved our new Trumpf 5130 Press Brake ( 27,000 Lbs. ) into its' new home. Ended up being quite a challenge and things did take longer than expected, however there wasn't any complaining and these warriors refused to back down from the task. I was very impressed with how they carefully handled this massive machine...like it was their own. I have been involved in Manufacturing since 1991 and this was the finest experience I've had with Machinery Movers. Seriously, they were focused, professional, considerate and skilled in their craft. I was calling from Texas and needed some equipment moved from Murrieta, CA to Cleburne, TX. They responded very promptly to my request, and after a few e-mails and phone calls to gather all the information needed, as it was some heavy and awkward pieces, they got everything put together, transportation included and quoted me a very respectable price. The move went very well. My contact in CA said they were on time and did a very professional job! I was very happy with the whole move and my equipment showed up on time and in perfect shape. Jim and his crew helped us move a Haas DM-1, a large air compressor, and an air tank, from Oxnard, CA to Monterey, CA. Ellie (sales) provided a quote super fast, communication throughout the project was timely and clear, loading and unloading were meticulous, and everything was delivered on time, in pristine condition. Most importantly, the whole team bent over backward to accommodate our tight schedule, including temporary storage of our equipment in their warehouse. Everyone was friendly, even when I failed to provide clear directions for the shipment's destination, which forced Jim to drive around in circles through tight roads in a residential area. Best decision for moving no fake. California Machinery Movers are very professional. They asked me exactly what I needed and what I wanted and I got it. I had quite a bit of machinery/equipment for my frozen yogurt store that included some things that weighed over 1000 pounds. I described what I needed and Jenna help me with everything and gave me a quote. I did this all in a single week and they arrived on time and pulled everything out of the 53 foot container that I had. They rate was very reasonable and they did everything very professionally and carefully. If you are looking to move things that are particularly heavy their forklift operator was very careful in moving everything. Their names were Marco and Soto on my visit. Jim, Marco, Mark and the rest of the staff are super friendly and professional. I have worked with Jim on moving equipment both for my company as well as others and I have never been disappointed. These guys really know their stuff when it comes to moving heavy printing equipment. I had a Vandercook Press moved into my studio and the driveway leading to it was full of cracks, potholes and bumps. Nothing stopped them from getting my press in there with no harm. The care Jim took was impressive as he guided Marco with the forklift over every little bump. I've seen Jim and Marco various machinery in tight spaces and nothing deters them. Jim and Marco recently moved a ceramic kiln for me and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience! They were responsive, professional, friendly, very careful, had all the right equipment, and were very reasonably priced. Access to the kiln at its original location and where it was being moved to was not only tight, but also included crossing a section of lawn, and going up a sloped driveway. I had been concerned that this could be problematic but Jim and Marco handled it all with ease. I could not speak more highly of Jim or CA Machinery Movers. I'm a letterpress printer, so a bit nervous letting anyone touch, let alone move, my super rare, very heavy, very valuable presses. But they took such care with them, reassured me, kept me updated on every step of the trip with ETAs etc, and had great attitudes. Jim even gave me tips on how to care for my machines! Great company, very professional. Helped move equipment to our customer that didn't have a loading dock or way to unload 9000 lb machine. Picked up and noticed possible problems with crate. Communicated the issue and provided suggestions to make sure the machine was delivered to our customer with out damage.
