Then the waitress asked if we wanted bread which we received after we finished the apps. It was disorganized even though the establishment wasn't even busy, with many open tables for a Saturday afternoon lunch. We ordered the following: Avocado club egg rolls Brussels + bacon flatbread Wild mushroom strozzapreti with chicken. Kung pao spaghetti with chicken Garlic cream fettuccine with shrimp The avocado club egg rolls were delicious, lightly fried on the outside, the ranch dipping sauce with it was a great pairing. I would not recommend the Brussels and bacon flatbread. I was expecting more Brussels but it only had a few pieces here and there on the entire flatbread, bacon was too salty. The wild mushroom strozzapreti was good in flavor, but some of the mushroom pieces were cut way too thick. I added chicken to it for an additional $3. The chicken was dry with no flavor. They just threw a slab of chicken on top of the pasta. I sampled the kung pao spaghetti and the garlic cream fettuccine, both standard in taste, nothing to rave about. read more

There was almost a 10 minute wait to check in. A few people saw us waiting and never came over. My husband finally went to get someone. They apologized and said they were short staffed. Took a shot and went in since most Foxwoods Casino restaurants were closed. Happy that we did. We were seated promptly at a clean safely spaced table. Our server came right over to get the show started. We began with Tortilla soup which was flavorful and hot. Nothing like hot soup to warm your bones. My wife then ordered a house salad and a chicken pizza on cauliflower crust which she thoroughly enjoyed. I went all in and ordered the Chicken/shrimp/andouille sausage jambalaya. I have had the same jambalaya from The Cheesecake Factory and BJ's Brewhouse and compared to this, theirs was a greasy mess. It came out full of meat and pasta. The sauce was smooth and creamy, no grease. It had the right amount of kick to make it enjoyable without being too spicy. You know I had to try the pizza since it's in their name. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage on regular crust. It was right up there with the best of them. I actually took half home the next day and had it for dinner again. Took a quick trip to Foxwoods & decided to eat here since none of the other restaurants had people in it except this one. The service was okay & so was the food. I most likely will never come back here because the food to me is very bland & lacks the basic salt & pepper. There's no flavor. The BBQ chicken pizza was probably the best out of the 3. The pasta barely had any sauce & the fried mac and cheese tasted like nothing. This was a waste of money to me since the price didn't match the portion size or goodness. Unfortunately what should have been a quick in and out experience at this chain restaurant quickly spiraled into the never ending dinner. The waitress was more concerned with talking to a patron at the bar than coming over to our table which was legit steps from the bar. She didn't give us the complimentary bread despite every other table having it around us. When the food came it was good pizza but we barely were offered a refill on our drinks and then sat for at least 30 min after finishing to get our check (we are still waiting for the record). Normally I am forgiving of a lot of things but when you are out with a 11 and 5 year old who are starting to melt down because you have been sitting for at least 1.5hrs for a quick pizza dinner it's quite annoying. Was there for a rehearsal dinner seem quite awkward as it was multiple long tables and you were unable to talk to anyone at the find of the table unless you got up and walk there. Needless to say no one got up and walked anywhere because the restaurant was packed... Food was good enjoyed the grilled salad and vegetable pasta!! I'm a big fan of California Pizza Kitchen. I'm really mad because they got rid of their four mushroom pasta dish which was seriously one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. So I had to get something else. I got the truffle pizza - it was good but I thought the crust could have been much crispier and also a bit smaller. It took up a lot of the pizza, so I missed out on some pizza. I love that they do a mix of different mushrooms. We had the white corn guacamole to start and it was really really good. I loved the corn mixed throughout the guacamole. And it was a really reasonable price for a decent portion. My mom had the king pao spaghetti with shrimp which looked great. read more

Service is hit or miss here. There is one bar tender who is always spot on. Friendly and she makes sure you are always taken care of. The past few times I have dined here I have had to send back my wine glass because it is filthy ! Food particles stuck to the glass, soap residue, some glasses even sticky to the touch. What I found interesting was the metheod in which the glasses are cleaned. They take a shaker, put ice in it. Wait for the condensation to build up in the glass then wipe it down with a dirty rag that has been laying down on the counter. Just gross. Bread is also hit or miss if they even have any. The food is pretty good and that one bartender is pretty nice which keeps me coming back. read more

I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, which came out to be around $18, which is crazy expensive for such a small portion. The lettuce was sad and not crunchy, and the chicken portion wasn't big either. That cost an additional $4.50. I also ordered a flat bread, that portion was rather small too. We shared a cobb salad and the popular (according to our waitress) bbq chicken pizza. The food came quickly and it was all delicious! We added beets to the salad, another great recommendation from our waitress, and got the dressing on the side and swapped out the calorie heavy blue cheese for their Dijon balsamic. A nice place to eat and relax after a day on the tables. Food: 4 Stars In my opinion one dish reigns supreme here and that is the Pesto Chicken Pizza. Probably one of the best pizza's I've ever had (then again I haven't gone to many places who's main focus is pizza other than neighborhood small-time pizza joints). The sesame ginger chicken dumplings are also pretty good with a dipping sauce (soy-chili) was goes very well with it. Drinks: 4 Stars I have never had any alcoholic beverages here but their soda's have a very wide range especially when it comes to iced-teas and lemonades. In my 2 visits to CPK I've had about half of their lemonade iced tea menu since it (I believe) $3.99 with unlimited refills. After a long day on the poker tables where servers come once an hour or so, it is a delight to have 3 tall glasses of delicious different flavored lemonade in an hour span. Service: 4 Stars Nothing extraordinarily good or bad about the service. Everyone seems to do their job and do their job well. Can't ask for more. If you are looking for a server one is always around and willing to help. Ambiance: 4 Stars You would think that in a busy and loud casino the restaurant would be loud, but overall the noise pollution is very low and soothing especially when one just finished playing a 5-8 hour session at the poker tables where everyone is talking and stacking their chips. Love this places style low lights, tvs, round table seating (we were a party of five kinda day) The server was very friendly and super effcient we were in and out in like 45 mins. I tried the peach, white balsamic salad, wow, it had pecans, dried crandberries, crumbly gorgonzola and just a few red onions cooked all melty. I added chicken and asked for the lunch size portion and I am satisfied but not over full. Perfect quick lunch. I just wanted to leave a great rating for the manager, Amanda. While staying at Foxwoods with my husband for a business trip, we ordered some food to pick up and bring back to the room. I'm pregnant, so I have to be insanely annoying and particular with my orders, in this particular case needing no bean sprouts on my bowl. When I got back to the room with my bowl, there were bean sprouts hidden throughout. Normally I wouldn't care but because it's a safety issue while pregnant and because I was starving, I called to ask for a refund. Amanda apologized profusely and offered to hand-make me a new bowl and deliver it right to me in the lobby of my hotel. She couldn't have been sweeter and I SO appreciated the effort to make it right. Got there and was told either take a seat at the bar or wait 45 mins for a booth. So we sat at the bar. The GM or so he said he was the GM and ran the place was sitting their eating. I only know his name is Chris because he was so drunk and loud I heard his whole conversation with the party sitting right next to me. He was ordering shots and drinks and saying how he was done with the place and was moving. The more he drank the louder he got. I just wanted to get a quick bite to eat before a show I was going to. Well next thing I hear is Chris say hey these people here (not me and my friend) delete out their food and drinks its all comped and more shots on me. The rest of the people at the bar looked at chris who could barely hold his pants up and asked if that included them also drunk chris said no but f this place lol Then as I am paying for my meal wanting leave drunk chris gets up and goes to the register to cash himself out as well as delete out all the food for the people next to me but he is too drunk to do it and is holding up me a paying customer from cashing out . Went there for a quick bite and cocktails and got cut off after one drink because apparently I was speaking too loud because I'm hard of hearing. Was never asked to speak lower or softer and was extremely mortified when I asked for another drink and was denied, not by our waitress but another waiter at the bar. If the manager had an issue with me he should have spoke to us himself. Very unprofessional to say the least... This is my go to when I'm at Foxwoods ... which is all too often. I have never had a bad meal here! The service is always friendly and the staff is very accommodating as is the Manager Mike! I ordered a pizza once not realizing there was no red sauce on it and he took it off the bill and replaced it with a different choice and it was taken care of quickly and with a smile. I like my food served hot and freshly cooked and that it is! And they have a special where you can get any pizza to go for $5 with the purchase of an entree! The chicken piccata is to die for ... I ask for extra capers. The Jambalaya linguine fini is also fantastic if you looking for something with a spicy kick! I read another review on here that says the food is tasteless and the pasta didn't have enough sauce! Then you look at the pic of her pasta dish and it's swimming in it! Service sucks!! Was trying to place a take-out order. Waited at the front counter for 5 minutes and no one greeted me. Love their Pesto Chicken pizza! Why order the other kinds available in the supermarket? Sprinkle some pepper flakes and ground parmesan and I'm in heaven! I also love their pesto pasta. But their Waldorf Salad is hands down best salad I've ever eaten and I don't love salads to say the least! Every time I go to Foxwoods, I want to stop by for some pizza and salad.
