I haven't been to CPK in so long but I was craving their delicious butter cake. My friend and I came on a Friday night for dinner. There was no wait and we were seated right away. Service was OK, quite slow, and our server seemed to be a little all over the place. Otherwise, the food was pretty good. The butter cake was delicious per usual. Stopped by for a late lunch on a Sunday . I haven't eaten here in at least 10 years . We ordered a burnt end pizza and the crust was tasty but the burnt ends were extremely salty had to remove them . I had just gone to the Apple store, but I needed to eat. A friend of mine drove me to the mall, and I had Cako with me. I walked by CPK and the patio only had one family on it. Why not eat here since we were already parked. It was a little crazy because of Christmas. Samantha took really great care of us and was friendly to Cako as well! I ordered the jambalaya linguini and this was delicious! Lots of shrimp and the andouille sausage added just the right amount of heat. The Thai chicken pizza was great! It's always been consistent no matter which CPK I've gone to. The disappointment was the bolognese spaghetti. There was not enough meat or sauce. The flavor was good, but not as generous like other places. It started to get crowded so we were there at a good time. Overall, this is a good place to come to and you don't have to shop. This is a nice sized CPK, with a large inside, square bar in the middle, giant open kitchen and outdoor patio. When I arrived, it was probably around 1:30 or 2pm during a weekday and pretty empty. There were plenty of seats open inside and out. Once inside, there was no one at the host's stand, but eventually someone came up. I asked if we could sit outside and he told us to wait a minute. I was really hungry and eager to sit down and order. We noticed he ended up going outside and started cleaning off a table and moving around chairs. It seemed strange, especially when there were so many open seats. So, I pointed to an open table and asked him if we could take it. He said we had to wait for the server. It was really odd. During this time, there were also 3 men waiting, and they got impatient and just left. There was poor communication and maybe a misunderstanding on one of our ends. Eventually our server came and we were able to get seated. The service was oddly slow, but our food arrived and was pretty good. I enjoy the pick 2 lunch option, however you can only choose from certain pizzas (not all are offered). I ended up getting 1/2 Thai crunch salad and it was over $16...a half! Seems like a lot...? The prices feel a little higher than the quality in my opinion. The pizzas are typically really tasty though, so I'll be back again, but I'll probably just stick to the pizza in the future. They tasted good, but it was not hot nor was the wrapper crispy. To add to my displeasure, both sauces were a bit spicy. I ate them without the sauce. We were asked if we wanted the starter first or the avocado rolls first. We said the avocado rolls and don't bring out the salad until after the rolls were gone. The salad ended up coming out 2 minutes after the rolls and we hadn't even had 2 bites of the rolls. They brought it out without clean plates. We had to ask for them. We ordered the Italian Chopped Salad. CPK changed this salad several years ago. I understand that there were so many complaints, that the original was brought back. It is not the same and it was not great. Our server was very good and we had a nice experience with her. The rest of the meal was very mediocre. read more

They added some new menu items that look really good, but since we don't have California Pizza Kitchen where I live, I had to get the pizza I've been craving. This CPK made me wait one hour for an order of chicken piccata and barbecue chicken pizza. Their to go window was so crowded with food dashers there was barely any room to stand to wait one hour for my order. Additionally, we would have been waiting for longer if we had not gone up to the service counter to find our bag of food, waiting unaccompanied. It seems like the kitchen was so preoccupied with Dashers that they neglected to call our name for our food. The restaurant seemed quite understaffed with only a few sections of tables open for seated customers yet the kitchen seemed very busy dealing with said Dashers and neglecting actual to go customers. if you decide to place a to go order at this location, be sure to stay on your toes and check with the counter as they may have your food waiting unaccompanied. The server took my order having to wait over 8 minutes for the first order of the Dumplings that looked great in presentation with the use of teriyaki and sesame. The dumplings looked great the sauce having the warm sauce with a small bite taste of the best not having to taste the crispy taste. The server brought the pizza up after of the 10minute mark the pizza nice and hot the taste was one that the outer crust was a little dry the sauce and the barbecue sauce with the chicken great tasting sweet taste of the sauce with the soft taste of the cooked chicken. I was surprised by the quality of the food as the pizzas were really good and also the spinach artichoke dip. The pastas were just okay so I would focus on just getting the pizzas. Paying was very easy to do as I had an InKind gift card to use so I just had to use the InKind app and put in the receipt number of the bill and I was able to pay on my phone. This review is based off of ordering from DoorDash - what a poor experience! The only good thing about our order was that the food was mainly hot & their bbq chicken pizza with cauliflower crust is most of the time, a hit. I feel so bad for the doordash drivers who attempted to pick the order for my family - but we went through 4 drivers before the order got CANCELLED then picked up a 5th time by someone else. CPK used to be good but I feel like their quality and overall business has gone downhill. It took over 1.5 hours to get someone to pick up our food and deliver and every driver would say they were still waiting for our order. Granted, it was a Friday night, but whenever we order from a restaurant no matter the day, they don't take this long. I was also disappointed in the butter cake trio - it literally tasted like store bought cake and they sprinkled oreos or strawberries or bacon (which was not good). Also, the burnt ends mac & cheese - i liked it but i also didn't like it. I don't know how to describe it but the burnt ends were just hard... the flavor was ok. I don't think I would order again. Came in last weekend for my birthday and unfortunately has a less than ideal experience. We came in a bit after 8pm and were quoted a 15+ wait but were seated quickly (within about 5 minutes) once seated it took about 10 minutes before a server came and took our drink order and from there the service was friendly when given but inattentive, our waitress didn't come by to check on us only to give us the bill even when part of our party ordered dessert and I asked her to come back in about 5 minutes because I wanted more time deciding. The food was good but needed salt (which was given upon request). Also not a huge deal but my little one told the waitress it's Mom's birthday and the waitress made no acknowledgement other than "Oh okay" (I guess at a sit down establishment I typically expect a comped mini dessert but ‍). This location is also a lot smaller than when they were across from the theater (the last time I'd been there) I don't think I'd come back again unless there was a lunch special or something going on. Almost every time I come to this mall and it neverrrr disappoints. The service was great and everything came super fast, plus the weather was nice so it was great to enjoy everything sitting outside with its nice ambiance.
