Drove down Main street looking for breakfast. This place looked so inviting it picked us. Patio or inside dining. We chose inside since it was still pretty cool. Waitstaff is so friendly you can almost hear them singing when they talk to you. And as it turns out they are family owned and operated. I went with the cheddar burger with fries. It came hot off the grill and cooked perfectly. It came with thousand island dressing, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Fries were tasty and dusted with a seasoning salt. I was surprised to see an Arnold Palmer on the menu. Had to have it! The wife had the chicken quesadilla. She said it was delicious. Patio is dog friendly with heaters. Meh. The breakfast is decent. Nothing to write home about. The service is fairly friendly, which makes it above average for a tourist in Cambria. A little pricey, but then again everything is. Their gimmick seems to be the fancy-looking cocktail drinks with curly straws and umbrellas. Odd given that they only service breakfast and brunch. It's all right though. Passable. I'll have to give it another try when I pass through town and am in a bloody mary and eggs benedict kind of mood. read more

Nice place to get brunch! Good portions, nice outdoor patio. Came here one late morning for brunch, it was a nice sunny day so we sat outside on the patio. It was shaded so not too hot. I found it! A great breakfast burrito and better service from Luis. Overall, a really nice experience. Inside was bacon, sausage, hash browns (key) eggs and cheese. Tightly packed and so good! Go here for breakfast, and you will realize quickly that this place is all about the mimosas, and pays little attention to the actual food that you were there to eat. I believe their business model is to get you drunk so that you don't realize how ridiculously cheap the food is. We literally got premade Belgian waffles that came out less than five minutes after we ordered them and tasted like they were thrown from the freezer to the toaster. i've had these kind of waffles before from Costco, so I am 100% positive that's what they were. The price $15. if this is going to be your choice for breakfast, get drunk fast and order the smallest amount of food possible. The service was also not great. read more

So I don't normally leave reviews based on service but I will right now. I literally had to go inside to find someone 2x just to get a drink. (I was outside) Once I got a menu I was ignored for 40 plus min. At some point after watching several other tables get at least some sort of service, I just kinda waited to see if anyone would help us. They didn't whatsoever. I've never had a whole staff ignore a table like they did. They weren't even busy at noon, chatting, cleaning tables ect but not helping anyone. Oh and the giant mimosa was cool looking but subpar tasting. I've never not tipped in my life but did today so I know you know who I'am. Do better because you guys suck as a staff. Ownership take note. I'm not being dramatic they do suck and we're kinda jerks when I called them out. Side note went to Moonstone beach bar and grill for dinner and what a difference. Nice breakfast spot for locals and visitors. I ordered the chicken fried steak. There was a nice balance of flavor that made for a very enjoyable meal. The steak was very tender, and the gravy was perfectly seasoned. My hash browns were crispy and complemented the rest of the meal. The only negative I have to report is their namesake, my mimosa. Not much flavor, and the champagne was definitely not a very good brand. Our server was able to get all of our table's food out at the same time, and checked on us regularly. My goodness...it is a glorious morning and we decided to take a drive up to Cambria, T said she'd buy me breakfast. Certainly my mostest favorite meal of the day, ya know a good breakfast...when fixed and served hot is a great way to start your day. Seated immediately and greeted by a server with two mugs and a coffee pot in hand had a warm welcome for us, nice. My first visit here I went with a Denver Omelet, T had the Monte Cristo breakfast sandwich. We shared a side of fruit and of course my side of bacon was there too. Its not often that a Denver omelet is brimming with real bone on ham nice chunks of peppers and onion too...wow. Hash browns were ok, I prefer a crispier done. The menu features an American suite of familiar favorites, ours was certainly presented well. Making a name for themselves Mimosa is exactly what they do and do it well too. Great hidden gem for breakfast in the Cambria San Simeon area. There are booths kids and plenty of large tables outside on the terrace/patio. We selected the corner outside table for some good people watching. I think we brought in the crowd! The location is ideal for those skipping North or South Highway 1 as it's an easy stop. Service was good and quick. The coffee was hot on this sunny but chilly morning after daylight savings. Refills were just as quick too. Lately, I've noticed many diners and restaurants skimp on the condiments and creamers available on the tables. Heck, the fancy Cavalier gave he one small pepper pack after asking for pepper. Not here folks!!! It's back to the good times. Just wash your hands and use sanitizer. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was outstanding as was the gravy. Cambria Mimosas Steak & Seafood is situated perfectly around stores and parking which was great for convenience. The restaurant has a great look and balcony seating. We were seated right away but weren't greeted until 20 minutes later. We noticed a regular walk in, be seated, and their order taken all in less than 5 minutes. Clear to see they prioritize certain guests over others. Although, the food made up for it! The chicken fried steak was hot and fresh, made to perfection. The white gravy needed seasoning but the home fries were cooked amazingly. The portion of food was worth the price and the mimosas are a must!
