I recently visited Camelback Toyota for an oil change service, and I had a very disappointing experience with Michael Kane. When I mentioned that my brakes were making noise while reversing and asked him to check if my warranty would cover any necessary repairs, he dismissed my concerns and told me he had other customers to attend to.I felt unheard and unvalued as a customer, which left me incredibly frustrated. It's disheartening when a simple request for help is met with such disregard. Overall, I wish I could give zero stars for this experience. I gave my number and email to the sales person to get back with me on the exact price with all dealer add-ons- A manager called and told me they were getting the details together for me. Most of the experiences here were fairly positive. I had bought three oil changes then an additional five. At no time ever was I informed they had a time limit on them. Last oil change went off without a hitch other than they unplugged my drive cam, when they were done there was no mention of a time limit left on the oil changes on my account only that I had two left. Today I get there and they let me know that I had lost out on the TWO oil changes. "Mileage doesn't mean anything, we go by time" then of course they try to sell me more oil changes and an alignment. I went to this dealership a couple of weeks ago and I didn't appreciate the Sales manager as he was extremely degrading towards me. Maybe he wouldn't have lost a sale if he didn't approach me in such a rude manner. My word of advice is that he shouldn't be chewing gum like a cow in front of customers as it is very unprofessional. Also he should fix his teeth especially since he expressed that he makes a lot of money. Camelback Toyota has the worst case of "left hand not knowing what right hand is doing" that I have ever seen in a dealership. Also, a disregard to an interested customer and not following through with promises. I was interested in a Toyota Camry Hybrid. It was either 2008 or 2009, with 63,000 miles on it. It had a list price of $12k. I wasn't going to finance, but pay it straight out, but was asking what the price could be lowered to. Hunter was my salesman. He scheduled for my wife and I to come in on Tuesday (Aug 27th). Someone was coming from dealership and pick us up at 9 am. After this was scheduled, I received phone calls to confirm at 1:00 pm appointment for the same day. This was never scheduled with me. When the day came, and my wife and I were completely ready to go, nobody showed up. They instead called me. Hunter had me speak to his manager. His manager stated that the car was in the shop, and therefore could not be sold or test driven yet. He promised to call me when it was out of the shop, regardless of if he could get the price point down to my budget. No callback on Tuesday. Or Wednesday. I call on Thursday (Aug 29th). I had forgotten the manager's name, so nobody really knew what I was talking about. Even another manager. I was told it was Hunter's day off. I was also told the car was sold. The next day (Friday), I found an email that was confirming an appointment to come in to see Hunter on Thursday. This appointment was never scheduled with me, and it was Hunter's day off. I got called from Bobby on Friday. I told him the whole story. He apologized, and told me he would do what he could to make it right. He was to call me again on Monday. Today (Sunday), I get a phone call from a saleswoman. She didn't reference either Hunter or Bobby, only that she saw I was interested in pre-owned Camry Hybrid. So, the manager never called me to tell me he couldn't get the price down. That would have been the respectful thing to do. Another would be not scheduling me "in the dark", meaning scheduling me TWICE to come in without asking me first. This dealership has made it clear that they are only concerned about the profit. I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and God is blessing us with a wonderful vehicle! It was with another dealership. God is great, all the time, and Camelback Toyota will reap what they have sown. I was looking at a used Tundra online and received a text from a guy named Ruben. I showed up at the dealership to look at the truck and was helped by a different guy. He was nice and we were able to test drive it and gave me some rough numbers. Ruben asked if I was there and I said yes, met him for about 2 minutes and walked out. And then text him saying I wanted the truck but the numbers didn't make sense and we went back and forth through text. We left it up in the air with no follow up or call or text back from Ruben. I showed back up to the dealership 3 days later ready to buy the truck and was greeted by TJ who couldn't have been nicer and more respectful to me and my family. He worked the whole deal between us and the finance people and stuck with us through the whole deal up to putting the paper plates on my new truck and filling it up for me. Why the 3 stars? BECAUSE RUBEN CRIED AND STOLE HALF THE DEAL FROM TJ!! Complete trash and unprofessional Ruben! And the fact that your bosses and hire ups backed you is disgusting. TJ deserves 100% of the deal from greeting us to getting the whole deal done with us! The service dept. is really the UPsales dept. I've been having my oil changed there and last time the guy asked me if I wanted the oil additive? Me ?? (All the other guys just did it and charged me for it. ) So I said what is it? He said it helps the motor last longer. I agreed to have the additive put in. I got home and did some research.. If they had used the quality synthetic oil that is recommended by Toyota for a Prius, an additive is not necessary. I started checking around for other service places. A friend of mine recommended a place in Scottsdale. I went there the this time. Photos attached. And I didn't have to wait for 2 hours at Combs!!! Also, Why do any of these places think it's ok to outrageously charge this fee for a bulb. I am woman, however, I'm not dumb. I stopped at Advance Auto Parts on my way home and bought 2 bulbs $7.59. They decided to host an electric car fast charging station, and every time I've come here to charge, they have the charging stations blocked by dealership vehicles. The one time I asked a group of sales people if they could move the cars so I could use the fast charging station, they said "why can't you just use the other chargers" (which were clearly level 2 chargers and not fast chargers) so this goes to show that they are EXTREMELY uneducated/negligent when it comes to dealing with electric cars (which is concerning given that they are selling EV's). I've never bought a car from here, but based off of my interactions with the sales people, you are much better off going elsewhere. Especially if you're looking to purchase an EV. Go to a dealership where the sales people are competent enough to be able to educate you on how charging works and who mindful/kind enough to understand the importance of keeping charging stations accessible. read more

They will try to mess you up with annual percentage rates SOO BAD and add ons so they can make an easy dollar out of you lol don't get me started on the service department. AVOID at all costs. They lied and said the rate they're giving me is the best. Tried to haggle so bad and an extremely HIGH monthly payment. They called few days later and tried to negotiate with a lower APR. turns out it was a lie to get me there. I don't know how they're still operating, doing so much shady business. Save your time and your money!!!! If I could give them negative stars, I would. Aside from charging an arm and a leg for their services, they have no customer service skills. For the prices they charge, you would expect to receive VIP service. But don't go in expecting that. On 6/17/2021, I went in for routine servicing for my SUV. I had a 12:30 PM appointment. I went to drop off my SUV during my lunch. There was only 1 car in front of my car. A younger guy quickly put a tag on my car. After waiting outside for about 10 minutes for the service guy, I finally went inside when I saw that he was on his cell phone. I stood there and wasn't even greeted. I finally had to walk up to him so that I could be acknowledged. I let him know I had a 12:30 PM appointment with him. I finally came to pick up my car around 5:15 PM. The service guy wasn't even there. My keys and bill were on his desk. Luckily this time, someone walked up to me and asked if he could help me I told him I was there to pick up my car. He walked with me to a machine to process my payment. I told him I had a coupon I got from their website. He told me that unfortunately my ticket was "closed" and that if I wanted to get the discount that I would have to call back tomorrow and speak with the service guy. Which is a bunch of BS because if they really cared about customer service, they would have taken the time to honor the coupon and apply the discount. So I just said okay and paid $88 for a damn oil change. He handed me my keys and then as I was about to walk away I remembered that I had to ask where my car was which he looked at the tag on my keys and pointed to the "left". So I has to go searching for my SUV myself. My SUV was by the service bays. I couldn't even take it out because they had another car blocking it. So then I had to go back inside and ask someone to "help" me since the car was blocking mine. When you make your appointment you get a confirmation email stating "Please keep in mind we are currently not washing vehicles after service for your safety to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 by reducing the amount of staff entering the vehicle." However, not a single employee was wearing a face mask so I HIGHLY doubt that they care about the spread of COVID-19 or "your safety". The previous appointment I had before this one was for a 10:00 AM appointment and my SUV was not ready until 5:00 PM. And that's not the first time this happens. This place has no consideration for your time. So unless you want to spend all your money, waste a whole day waiting for your car to be serviced, and wanted to be treated like crap, I suggest you take your business elsewhere!!! read more

I should've known when I bought my car two years ago with them all the red flags! I felt like I couldn't even leave the dealership without purchasing the car that's how bad the pressure was from the sales and financing guys. I was promised a second key from my sales guy and 2 years and still nothing and these people are the worst to get a hold of , fast forward two years and my sun visor just fell off. I was in to get my battery replaced back in October/november and the guy said he'd call me and let me know when I can get my visor replaced. I have reached out to him multiple times and nothing!! On February 02, 2025 a manager called me to say that the vehicle I was looking for was going to arrive next day in the next morning and If I want it I had to be at the dealer at 7:30 am. I explained to him that I was working from 4PM to 2am in Imperial California, but I I was going to Phoenix straight from work. After work I went home and picked up my kids and wife, I wanted them to experience the purchase of a new vehicle. After driving 250 miles or 4 hours 20 minutes I arrived at 7:30 am. The salesman Ali Srowjy told me that the vehicle did not arrived and maybe during the day was going to arrive and to wait for the vehicle. During the day we talked about price and we had an agreenment , I was ready to buy the vehicle, I had the bank check with me. Just waiting for the vehicle. At evening like 5pm Ali the salesman told me that the vehicle was not going to arrive and maybe was going to arrive next morning. We agree that as soon he receive the vehicle at the dealer he was going to text me and call me. So I went back home and got at home about 8:30 PM. So next morning I received a text and phone call from the salesman about 6:17 am that the vehicle arrived. At 6:35 am I was on my way to Phoenix again , 3 hours drive, calling the salesman and giving him my location and arrival status. I Show up there at 9:40 am and guess what? , Ali the salesman told me that someone show up before me was buying the vehicle and was too late. They told me they were sorry. A manager told me that they dont hold vehicles to nobody. This people did not care about me and my family driving from that far, driving back and forward two days in a row. In those 2 days I drove 868 miles, spent on gas and lost 2 days of my life wasting the time for nothing. I am a veteran and a law enforcement and this is the most dissapointing situation I ever had in my life, I felt hopeless and sad. I hope nobody have the same experience. We were told we'd save money but in the ended we paid over $300.00 dollars more which came out to $700.00 even though we had a Toyota add on care package we purchased with our truck. They found we needed a recommended 4WD fluid change. Unbelievable... We will not be coming back here every again for services. Absolutely horrible waiting area and they find anyway to add more to the bill. On top of waiting three hours. The service guy said he would give us a $10 lift. Very disappointed. Long time customer of Toyota camelback. They have lost my business for life. Had an issue in the service department with disrespectful service manager. Took the time to seek out upper management about the issue and was again treated with lack of respect and empathy. Katrina Coscarelli reached out to me about my issue and was more concerned with who controlled the conversation than my actual grievance. Mind you this is a higher-level management employee who didn't even take the time to ask me what happened. Katrina was more confused that I reached out in the first place. It's upsetting because I have dealt with multiple sales members who made the car buying experience over the years a breeze for my family. I personally do not recommend wasting your time or money with this dealership. I asked them to address a squealing noise (serpentine belt) that they didn't end up doing anything for, I drove away from the dealership with my car squealing exactly the same as when I brought it in, right in front of the repair tech. I just took my car to a local repair shop for a second opinion, they said that my oil is leaking (which I can confirm) because the dealership didn't replace the bad washer when they changed the oil. The local shop said the belt tensioner and the belt both need to be replaced, which the dealership didn't say anything about. I simply wanted my car to be taken care of in a professional way so it could continue running and this dealership screwed me. Be warned, do not come here for maintenance. After talking back and forth trying to iron out a deal with a multitude of different associates, managers, sales managers, internet managers etc. they finally convinced me to come down and drive over 200 miles round trip, only to be stood up by my sales associate and told to ask for Archie. Having spoke to Steven before I went ahead and asked for him and after a wasted trip to Phoenix they wanted to low ball me on my trade in value on a 2024 4Runner TRD ORP I purchased from them about 8 months ago by trying to utilize the tax incentive to make me believe that I was getting a good trade in value. In fact the trade in value was nearly less by the same amount that they were showing me from the tax break (Funny how that works eh?) PSA: Dealers might use this tax break to make it seem like you're getting a better deal. For instance, they may emphasize the tax savings as part of their offer, creating an illusion of additional savings, even if the trade-in value offered is low. I even let them know I would be down to trade in my 2023 4Runner TRD Pro for a new 2024 4Runner TRD Pro the following day as the new vehicle had not yet arrived. Now I don't think I'll be driving down and wasting another 200 miles round trip again on some empty promises. I won't go back to Camelback Toyota. It's way out of the way for me anyways and there are many more dealerships before theirs. I only committed to doing additional business with them due to my first vehicle purchase from them. That purchase was a great experience, so I am not sure what happened, but they let me walk out of there at 9:30pm and no deal was made. Yuck. If I could give negative stars I would! Camelback Toyota's "certified pre-owned" cars! Scam!! I'm on my final breaking point before I scream and consult an attorney. I got this car in March and was ensured that it was not in an accident (CarFax was clean). 2 months later in May, my condenser had gone out, which cost me about $800 to fix because the "extended warranty" that I purchased with the car would not cover it as I couldn't prove that it was a rock on the road or if it was already damaged when I bought it and with due time it finally finished itself off. Mind you.... The spot it was leaking was on the lower passenger side! What a coincidence? Anyways... they never replaced the air valve cap and didn't think anything was wrong, so I had to buy an Amazon one! My air conditioning just gets louder and louder, they say nothing is wrong and they can't hear it, so they can't fix it. But it literally does it EVERY SINGLE TIME you turn the car on. I've asked multiple people if their Camrys make this noise and in fact they do not. Now here we are once again, on Sunday on my way home from Tucson, I stopped at a gas station and noticed a TON of peeling paint on my bumper....on the passenger side. A few people had mentioned to me that this bumper looks like it had been painted previously which caught my attention because this was never disclosed at the time of purchase. Yesterday, I brought it to a collision shop to get another opinion on it, which in face it was confirmed....this bumper has been previously painted. I called Camelback Toyota beyond furious and requested to speak to the Service Manager, whose name I couldn't understand on the phone because he was super hard to hear on his phone. Anyways, I expressed my frustration with buying this car that was apparently "CERTIFIED" and has apparently never been in a wreck, he admitted that whatever they did on this car they did not have to disclose to me or to the carfax. Which to me is completely not right!! When you're buying a car, you expect to know if it has been in a wreck or not. He basically just laughed it off like I was insane. I let him know I was on my way to the dealership for him to look at it, and that if he was in my shoes I'm pretty sure he would be frustrated also. He didn't answer or respond to anything besides," we will see if we can help when you get here." I get to the dealership and no manager would come out because they "were busy", so they had another employee take pictures of the issues and said to "expect a call tomorrow", which I have no hope in based on their customer service already. I got home and pulled out their inspection report, they signed off that it was free of improper paint repairs (which is obviously a lie or it would not be peeling like this), they ALSO signed off that it was free of dents (which I missed originally when I first looked at the car because you can't see unless the sun hits it right, but that shows there was some sort of collision at some point! And they didn't report it! So was this condenser actually damaged in whatever had this car hit before I bought it!? The coincidence of it both being on the passenger side...) Today, they called and said they would repaint the bumper, I said okay and asked who was going to paint it because obviously the last people that painted it doesn't know how to paint a bumper, or it wouldn't be peeling! I do not trust y'all at all. Camelback Toyota you have no more chances now, this is my final straw. I'm beyond frustrated and done. I don't even want this vehicle anymore because who knows what else is hiding behind this mess you sold me. As a single mother, I don't have hundreds of dollars to toss around for your guys' mess! From sales to service to the loan process, it has been a bad experience. Bought a camry and had to return to the dealership multiple times during the purchase process, spending hours at a time. I then had an issue with the car with air noise in the cabin, they did not fix anything because they "could not replicate the issue." i have a 2014 camry so i know the air noise is not supposed to be there on a 2021. I asked to go through a credit union and they said they would, but they messed up the name so my credit union declined the loan, so they got another credit union. How did i find out ? It was not after emailing the finance worker for a couple of days asking for an update. It was by calling my credit union and they told me. It was because of the name, which is something they "fixed" on one of the many days we spent there. I got here at 1045AM. I came in to do an oil change. At 1:40pm, the guy comes up to me and tells me that there might be a broken piece and they cannot do my oil change. They also already had a quote for me of $597 to replace it. A few thoughts come to mind. 1) what were you doing the last 3-4hours? 2) how did you come to that quote when you claim it hasn't completely broken? 3) what were you doing in the last 3 to 4 hours? 4) what were you doing in the last 3 to 4 hours? I finally got out by almost 3pm. No oil change was done and just a letter stating that the piece might break. Even if the piece was broken by whom you claim was the previous service center, why take 4hours to figure that? It just doesn't add up to me. It feels like something is missing. An oil change doesn't take this long. I wasted my entire day here with no updates during my 4hour until they came to the point that the piece might be broken. Yikes. read more

When I bought my car, they told me I would have two free oil changes. I don't drive very much because i work from home. I told the person on the phone this exactly, they scheduled my appt. I drive 30 minutes for my appt, only to tell me that this offer has "expired", which I was never told that this was a thing. Just a poor experience and also the spare key they gave me was broken. Thought this place had exceptional customer service but I was wrong. Update: i contacted the email they provided but they obviously just reply to save face. read more

Don't even bother getting your maintenance done here. I had an 8:30 am appointment last Friday for an oil change and I didn't get out until 1:24, and I had to wait there that entire time with no communication from anyone except for the 3 people that pestered me to buy my 4Runner. Spoke to the service manager who just then brushed the blame back on the service advisor, but last time I checked, a manager is supposed to lead their team and ensure that those they MANAGE, are coordinating with the customers per standards. Service manager gave me a free complimentary oil change and their personal number for any future appointments so that way he can make sure I'm out in a timely manner. But that's not the point, I shouldn't have to pull someone aside and bitch them out just to receive the service that I should ALREADY BE GETTING WHEN IM PAYING $170 FOR AN OIL CHANGE. Honestly, I'm just doing it to myself at this point, every single time I come here for normal maintenance, I'm here for hours. Whatever you do, don't give these people your phone number. I am searching for a new car and reached out to test drive a Highlander in December over the internet with Nick. Provided my info, and that was the absolute worst mistake ever. I cancelled my test drive due to COVID, thought it was prudent to wait and he offered to bring the vehicle to me. I thought that was better and agreed, then he kept rescheduling the appt, and then ultimately blew me off. That was kind of ok as I don't need to really purchase until May. Next comes Ted who apologizes for Nick and then agrees to not pester me and I would call when I was ready (he did turn me off when he told me he'd show me how to get 60mpg out of the hybrid...with all my research I bet I know more about the vehicle than him and I do not appreciate alternative facts). So, on and on it goes... beginning in December these people have not left me alone. A few times a week I get a call from some new person who says "oh I am sorry there is no note not to call" even though I have begged and pleaded for them to leave me alone until I am ready and I'll reach out. After the first 20 or so calls, I promised myself I would NEVER buy a vehicle from these people under no circumstances. They pissed me off so much, I started looking at brands, now I don't think I am even buying a toyota...lol. I get the sales tactics, but don't harass your customers. read more
