I brought a group of 28 friends to Camp Outpost for dinner on a Friday evening in September to kick off a weekend celebrating my 60th birthday. I don't think they typically serve groups of this size, so to help with service, I worked out the menu choices (sausage, pork, or chicken) with my contact Taylor there well in advance. The entire Camp Outpost team did an amazing job getting us seated and served. The pitchers of beer and margaritas came out promptly and the food was delicious. Seriously above and beyond what I had imagined. This place is a casual/modern dining spot with indoor and outdoor seating (outdoor seating is covered). Food ordered: 1.) half rotisserie chicken- comes with a delicious Yukon potato salad. In my opinion some parts of the chicken weren't as juicy as others. 2.) club sandwich- bacon is thick and chicken is delicious. Bread is on the crunchy side and may be a bit challenging to take a full bite (sandwich is also big). I also would have asked to add avocado. Overall food was tasty and of quality. Margaritas are horrible! Not a Margarita at all, more like flat water with a little lime. Paid $28 for 2 tiny little things that were undrinkable. Services was terrible. No one to greet us, no one to answer questions. I get the QR thing but at least have someone stop by once in a while to make sure everything is ok. Super disappointed. read more

We were sorely disappointed by how greasy everything was. We chose this spot based off of how fresh things looked in pictures but the grease covered any fresh flavor that could've existed. It was a gut bomb. We added the yummy chimichurri sauce to all our food to give it flavor but that just added to our oil problem. Then the food is delivered to your table. There is inside and outside seating. But sit outside if the weather for the nice views. I order the half rotisserie chicken plate. Solid roast chicken that came on a bed of roast potatoes. Ask for extra chimichurri sauce on the side. Can't have enough chimichurri. Our table shared fried pickles which were a little too salty but we loved them anyway. They were battered nicely and very crispy. We also shared brussel sprouts. They were decent enough. In Zion / Springdale for only two days and we ate here TWICE! We stopped in for lunch for both days and we would happily go back again! Thus, 5 stars! Crazy parking in a dirt lot but at least they have parking. Large dining space both inside and out. Counter service which was quick and friendly. During our two lunches I had the gigantic Caesar salad with rotisserie chicken and the 1/2 rotisserie chicken with side salad. The 1/2 chicken was delicious. I came back to get that after tasting the flavor of the rotisserie chicken on the salad. The only thing I would change is the amount of dressing/cheese on the salad, it was too much. My husband had the outpost club and then the fried chicken. He loved them both. Everything here is large portions, fresh and hot and delicious! Waitstaff is friendly and helpful. If/when we are back in Zion, this is an EASY delicious lunch spot! read more

We had lunch at camp outpost after visiting Zion national park. Look through various places to eat and this sounded really good. The inside of the restaurant was clean and was very nice. The staff was friendly and the manager was great. My dad needed to recharge a battery for a mobile scooter and the manager was very helpful in getting things put together so he could charge the battery. We had a hamburger and fries, was very good. Not gonna lie, I walked past this place twice because it was not as busy as the other places on this street. Boy was that a mistake. First the view is incredible. Next, they have several local beers on tap. I had an agave lager which was quite tasty. My wife had a sour blackberry which was really good. To eat we had the Cesar salad and 1/4 chicken. The Cesar salad was solid nothing spectacular. The flat breads that accompanied it were delicious and great for sopping up the bits of chicken. We got the dark meat on the chicken and it was perfect. The buns are delicious, the burger is juicy, the fries are crisp, and the people are friendly. We had the Camp Burger, it was too big for me. The 2nd time we ordered the kids burger with cheese and bacon, lettuce, & tomato. It was still too big for me. If you have bird eaters in your family, they could easily split one. We had the half chicken with Yukon potatoes and a sweet potato hummus. Although the chicken may be small for some, the flavor and preparation was phenomenal. Roasted to the verge of burned skin, the chicken was filled with flavor and juicy. The potatoes with radish and arugula was perfectly prepared. Crispy exterior with soft interior. We finally came to Camp Outpost on our last day in Springdale. I wish we had come sooner! From the moment we arrived we couldn't have felt more welcomed by the staff. Cold beer, amazing food, kind and patient service and an amazing view are all reasons we look forward to coming in. The Rotisserie Chicken is perfect and the Brussel sprouts are crispy and delicious. We came in very hungry after a series of long hikes in Zion and were very pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, the clean modern feel of the space, as well as the delicious and enormous portions of our meal. Both entrees we got were much bigger than expected - The crispy shrimp sandwich on house made flatbread was almost 12" long! The shrimp were numerous and big, the pickled veggies nicely tart but crisp, and the sweet potato fries (extra charge) was perfectly crispy on the outside but pillowy on the inside. The flatbread was also crisp yet fluffy - the best version of a chalupa shell without the heaviness of it being fried. The Saratoga pork roast was also huge, and seemed to be an entire loin with about 8 slices covering luscious cheesy grits and spinach. Lastly the prickly pear margaritas were light and refreshing! I didn't get to try anything else as we had to save about half of each of our meals but the rest of the food around us also looked delicious and huge. I would definitely recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner whenever you are in town for Zion and I bet you won't be disappointed! read more

The food here is decent. A nice selection. I had the sausage platter. The roasted potatoes weren't seasoned and theyre quite a mouthful to eat. They would have been great smashed w butter and a seasoning salt. The sausages would have been nice with some sauces (bbq, dijon, horseradish aioli). I honestly don't remember if the platter had any. Some steamed veggies came w the platter. Cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots. The florets were really tiny and the amount they gave could fit in a tablespoon coffee scoop. It would have been nice if they had soda fountain drinks, but all they had were plastic bottle sodas. We ordered the Brussel sprouts for our table and they over roasted. The leaves were like biting into a sheet of ash. It just deteriorated on the tongue. The center just crumbled and fell apart into crumbs. After trying to pluck them off the plate w a fork all that was left were shattered bits of blackened leaves. Sorry if this review came off as a bummer. I had high hopes after seeing the menu and viewing the photos on Yelp but I ended up being less than impressed. :( read more
