These guys are legit. My truck was making some bangs and pops. I made an appointment on Wednesday night for Friday morning. Dropped of my truck for a diagnostic. About two hours later they called with the diagnosis: spider gears & clutch pack in the diff are toasted. The quote on the labor was very reasonable. Originally they were going to charge me a $110 diagnostic fee, but when I picked it up they only charged me $55...SCORE! They work solely on Fords which is a major selling point for me as I have a '94 Bronco and a '13 Mustang Boss 302. read more

He accurately diagnosed the problem and told me exactly what needed to be fixed. Contrast that with the local Dealer who charged me for the diagnosis, but did not confirm what was broken. I come to these guys religiously when I have an issue, and my most recent experience reminded me of why. Brought my '07 Five Hundred in with a suspension noise while turning at lock. If you take this kind of issue into a lot of shops, they'll throw expensive parts at it like CV joints and tie rod ends until the customer is either broke or gives up. From reading enthusiast forums, I was hearing the end links were problematic, so I mentioned this to Ron, he said he hadn't had to replace any of those but would check them out. At first they couldn't reproduce the issue, so I demonstrated to one of the techs what I was experiencing. That gave him an idea and then I brought it back the next day so he could tighten up the bolts mounting the suspension parts to the frame. Problem solved. They only charged me for the battery replacement I requested and the related labor. $200 later and it felt like a new car. read more

After reading the reviews on Ford Dealerships in the area, I really didn't want to take my Escape Hybrid to any of them. I found Campbell Ford Performance on Yelp and decided to give them a chance. After all, I only needed an oil change (according to the Oil Life System) and maybe a quick once-over to make sure there was nothing really wrong with it. It's my first hybrid (and it's used) and it makes unfamiliar noises occasionally so I just wanted to be sure it's OK. Well, I'm really glad I went to these guys. Not only are they courteous, they actually know what they are talking about! Refreshing! They also figured out that my oil DIDN'T need changing - it's was just that the Oil Life System hadn't been reset the last time the oil was changed. They still gave it a test drive to make sure all was working well (which it was), explained to me how the hybrid system works (why I hear what I hear) and sent me on my way with NO CHARGE! How many places do you know that won't do unnecessary work and still not charge you for looking at the vehicle in the first place. I will definitely be coming back here when I actually do need some work done on my Escape. Excellent job guys. read more

First time, they couldn't do the service... But directed me to what seems to be good muffler shop around the corner since they don't do that.. Took them in for some work and everything seemed to work out fine... decently priced, not sure about the "look under the hood" add on after you agree to service though, but that's probably to protect them from people asking them to look at it and then going else where. read more

Campbell Ford Performance is the real deal. Bob the owner is a great guy, and will do anything possible to help his customers with their issues. I always do my own maintenance, but when I have a complex issue I take it to CFP. My most recent experience was a couple months back when I had Bob change the spark plugs and coil packs on my 2000 F-150 V8. I kept getting a check engine light for cylinder number 1 and Bob did extensive testing including a compression test to ensure the motor was in good shape. Prior to the work, my truck would intermittently misfire and hesitate. After I picked my truck up, I noticed an immediate difference. The truck hasn't hesitated once, and my gas mileage has greatly improved. I would also like to mention that Bob has a clean shop, is great with communication/updates, and fairly priced compared to other shops. The guys tested the 12v battery in my Ford C-MAX Energi and found it to be "marginal." I asked them to replace it with a new battery. This they did on the same day, using a Ford part. I found the staff to be efficient, helpful, and respectful. read more

Bob and his team are great honest people, got the bad end of the stick at another local mechanic so i ended up bringing in my 2003 f-150 to get check out by Campbell Ford. Fixed and solved every mistake previous mechanic did, ontop of getting my truck back to its former pristine glory. Bob was straight up, helpful, and ready to explain everything so you fully understood what was going on with your vehicle. I was going to sell my expedition 6 years ago, but decided to keep it since it was so useful. I have been taking it to Campbell Ford whenever it needed repairs, and they have been consistently great. Campbell Ford has no business selling vehicles; let alone servicing anyone's vehicle. The ownership; leadership; and employees are incompetent at best and dishonest at worst. The owner will not deal with issues pertaining to his dealership; nor will the dealership manager; both avoid issues they full well are aware of and in the end will refuse to correctly address issues with your vehicle that were directly caused by incompetent staff. Since I'm limited to size of review I already typed up; I'll give a condensed version. New Ford F-150 Platinum ordered fully loaded to desired options. Dealership performed poor service on vehicle and damaged vehicle. Scratched paint extensively & dented box with onsite car wash and "color sanded" front fender to fix (damaged clear coat). Scuffed dash; forced to changed out with improper molding alignment and screwdriver marks in center console. Damaged 3 rims with air-gun while rotating tires; forced by corporate to repair (owner wanted to split cost of damaged done by his mechanics!). Dealership had truck 7 weeks at one point and didn't fix all issues with vehicle. Refused to fix panoramic roof shade (excuse never made grinding sound); however, did when I showed up to get truck. Tried to get fixed at another dealership; other dealership refused based on previous service records! Refused to take responsibility and work with me on trade; gave low price trade in and non-markdown on newer vehicle! Traded vehicle at another dealership (obviously another manufacturer); then Campbell tried to cheat me out of $400 (gave lower value for extended warranty upon cancellation) for extended warranty (Ford Corporate corrected). Poor leadership & accountability. This is the only review I've ever written & have called other companies corporate offices to praise others when provided service & care. Once paid and you sign on the line; ownership could care less; only care about the rating you give them upon purchase of vehicle with Corporate! A lack of business ethics like no other place I've ever dealt with! You should exercise all options with other dealerships; I would've gladly paid more to never dealt with this dealership and avoided the year and a half nightmare of this place. If you have any high end Ford; Lincoln or Saleen vehicle; don't let them touch it for anything!! Totally incompetent and neglectful in my experience! read more

The other reviewers before me compared these guys to the dealership. Other than Lexus a place generally highly overpriced and under competent, so I'd take their reviews with a grain of salt. These guys stay in business only because they specialize in old Fords; the classics, and there are only so many places in town where you can expect a mechanic to be familiar with older model cars. I highly recommend you take my bad experience as a word or warning and take your Ford to someone else. I was charged for a road test to diagnose a problem in the engine. They never took the car out of the parking lot because they felt the gas tank was too low, and the registration was just expired. I could understand that, but what I could not understand was how they seemed to have no problem billing me $98 bucks, and never did any work. They also refused to do the work at a later date when I brought the car back. This was the worst cookery I've ever seen from a mechanic. read more
