I can't speak for all the Camping World's but the one in La Mirada is great. Every time I've been there the service has been friendly. One time I needed a ball put on a hitch and torqued to specs, and they did it for free, and I didn't buy the stuff there. I had bought it on Amazon and thought they would charge me a fee to put it on for me but they were totally cool about it. We brought our small motorhome Chateau 19G to Camping World to have a shower faucet diverter fixed. Juan the technician really has gone the extra mile to have it fixed. The diverter has a lot of deposits jamming it from moving up to allow water flowing to the shower head. Juan worked on it again and again. Finally he cleared it. Otherwise a new faucet fixture would have to be ordered and purchased which was our least desired options since we were travelling on the road. Kudos to Juan!!! read more

I took my RV here for a bunch of repairs (over 5 repairs). Initially, I left a 2 star review, because I was unhappy with how long it took to get my work done. I do still have complaints, as I think it could've gotten done much sooner if the management was more organized, and more on top of things. But also, there were certainly things beyond the management's control, such as the parts that were ordered from Forest River were on extreme backlog due to supply chain issues, and that is certainly not the fault of Camping World. But even with that, I do think with some better organization, my RV could have been completed much sooner. I let Paul (the service manager) know that my biggest complain is that he made me feel like I had to yell at him in order to get work done, and I still feel like this is true, at least to some degree. And I yelled at him a few times, and maybe gave it to him harder than he deserves. But ultimately, Paul is a really good guy. He's honest and fair, and without a doubt he does care about the customers. And that is a very good quality to have in a manager, and very hard to find. Despite my complaints, overall, I am actually very happy with the service because it is not easy to find a honest and fair manager like Paul. Man, I was really pissed off because my RV took a really really long time to get repaired. But it's all good, he made up for it because he is a good dude. Another thing that I really like is a lot of the employees do wear masks. Not all of the employees, but more than the average nowadays. And that is very important to me. There are a lot of bad reviews of this place, and I imagine they are warranted. But if you are considering bringing your RV here, I would say that I do recommend bringing your RV here (I myself would consider coming back here in the future), but it is important to be very stringent with Paul about how fast you want things done, and if things fall off the timeline, it is important to communicate with them and see what is going on, because if you don't communicate with them, they might push it back (I think mainly due to misorganization, which is not a good thing, but ultimately to me it's fine because at least the manager is a good / honest guy). As it was last time, we appreciated Dave, the service advisor's details, fair pricing and economical repair guidance for the slide-out seal work. We took our 5th wheel in for an evaluation on a problem we were having with the batteries. We were charged about $450.00 for them to tell us we needed new batteries and not being able to explain why the solar panels back up power was not kicking in. When we called in to schedule a pickup and informing them that we were going to hold off on the purchase of the batteries. We were not told our service advisor was not in that day. We show up to pick up, asked for our advisor so we could try to get some answers. We were made to feel like we were bothering them and told we had to go inside and that our advisor was not in that day. in the store there was a line to speak to the counter employees, there was one person in front of me. Another employee then walks up and begins to assist another customer that had not been in line. No explanation offered. Like maybe he had been assisting him already. Instead, they went on to have a conversation that actually sounded like they knew each other. Once we got to someone and we asked the questions we had, we were talked down to and made to feel like we should know what we were talking about. At this point feeling like we paid $450.00 for nothing and being made to feel foolish we just wanted to get out of there. Come to find the inside of 5th wheel was still torn apart where they had done the evaluation. Apparently, the woman we spoke to on the phone had not told the service department that we were picking up. We had to wait until another technician put back together. Inside the store has posters of the CEO Marcus Lemonis stating that if one is not satisfied to call him directly. Well obviously, one does not get through directly to him. One leaves a message and is told there will be a call back within 24 hours to address the issue. I had to email them to ask about the 24-hour turnaround. Someone, maybe the manager of the location called my husband, was still not able to answer the questions. He suggested we go back in. Not once were we offered and apology for the lack of service and rudeness that we mentioned in our complaint. Nor did he mention if he was calling in response to our complaint we sent through the "direct" line to Mr. Lemonis. This was a surprising turn of events as in the past we had always had good service there. read more

My husband and I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to have a technician go over all of the workings of our class B RV. It was basically an RV orientation, which we were looking forward to, as first time RVers . We arrived a few minutes early, and we went to the front desk, explained we had an appointment at 9 a.m. and we were told the " technician " was out on a "check ride". That was 9 a.m. They directed me to one of the docks where other RVs were being tended to I sat there for 45 minutes Evidently, The " check drive " was taking the long way home. I left after close to a hour, waiting for the appointment that was confirmed the day before. What a joke. Sad I bought the three year Good Sam Club and also bought an extended warranty & service on a $3000 generator. They will make every attempt NOT to honor anything. In addition, don't purchase anything here. They won't want to process your refund if you opened the box. How else will you know if the product is what you thought it was? Customer service is last on their list. And the cashier that gave me hell was KAREN. Sonia was super nice. Paul was very reasonable and authorized the return. I had planned to do more shopping after the return- but I couldn't stomach it! Please Camping World - Make sure your staff doesn't make customers feel like criminals. Enough with the 20 questions. What can I say, this store is awesome and so is the staff. Wife and I needed some odds and in's for our RV and I decided to talk to there service center about having some Helper Air Bags installed on the front end of our RV and Joseph was a pleasure to talk too. He walked me thru the install process and I made my reservation to bring our RV to have them installed. No pressure at all and no gimmicks and no up selling. I had to book my install out about 3 weeks due to my schedule and they were very accommodating. I arrived early and Joseph checked me in and introduced me to my installer Manny that was going to install the air helper bags, then he took the time to answer all of my questions and he also walked me thru the install and even asked me where I would like to have the lines ran. Manny was the installer and did a fantastic job installing the air bags, I'm very happy and noticed a huge difference on how the coach rode and handled. If you need service or repair for your RV, there has to be better options. Our family dropped off the RV many weeks ago for repair after a recent trip. Waiting for the part(s), our RV was parked in their lot. Got a call last week saying our RV was broken into and was damaged as well as property inside was taken. Over a thousand dollars easy in repairs and missing items. Of course Camping World covers themselves and says on their paperwork that they don't cover anything. Fine, get it, liability for business is a huge thing. But then we find out from a service side member, front of store greeter and police that Camping World parking lot gets broken into once a week for at least 6 months now. Because security costs so much they don't do anything about it. If we knew this, we would've brought the RV back when the part(s) was ready as the RV has been there for many weeks, we don't live that far. A simple heads up on the situation of the parking lot would've allowed us to make the choice to leave RV there or not. Maybe Camping World is in on it since they get to charge more for the additional repair for the break ins happening on a weekly basis. Of course now after it's been broken into and we are getting even more work done, they park it inside now where it's hopefully more secure. I guess when you spend enough you get the better parking. Find a place that cares for their customers and their property that we all work hard to own. Customer beware. read more

On or about 2/6/2022, I opened an Order for service on my new RV. I Ordered Koni Shocks and a Safe-T-Plus Steering Stablizer. During the repair service wait, I visited the retail shop and had a wonderful experience that caused me to shop, shop, shop. The experience was pleasant and friendly... even my pooch scored a doggie bone. The repair service was outstanding, super fast and helpful. Thank you Larry and the service person that complete the task. I walked out with a receipt over $3k, but well worth every hard earned penny. 2/8/2022, Tuesday apprx. 6:25AM: I decided to revisit CAMPERS WORLD for various other items that were needed for the new RV. I started my morning off very early (5AM) to avoid traffic and complications, which landed me at CAMPERS WORLD earlier than expected. [The commercial area is understandable, however, cramed just off a narrow two-way street, which large freightliners must pass through without difficulty. Thereby, I temporarily pulled in the driveway to remove the 32 ft RV off the street to avoid obstructing the flow of traffic, and not getting a ticket as what the street sign clearly states, "No Parking Anytime.] Mindful, there was not an option to park, thereby my temporary) solution to park in the driveway was only temporary, until the gate opened (6:30AM) not intended to cause any harm to the business. A silver vehicle with tinted windows, low rider presence... a male driver smoking a cigarette, wearing a hat and dark sunglasses covering his face and eyes blasts me, "YOU CAN'T PARK HERE BRO!" At first instance, I thought I was in danger. After listening to him, I believed he was an employee. I tried to explain that I would move... [I moved the RV and parked on the street, risking being hit by moving traffic or receiving a citation. The Silver vehicle parked into the driveway, in the same place where I was parked]. I walked toward the vehicle to apologize and ask a question.... I admitted I was in the wrong for the parking... though I could not be heard over the volume of music coming from his car... I attempted to say, "You are right... twice" But the guy insist on repeating himself and berating me. "You see the gate is closed! I don't care! Blah, blah.." I let him continue to rattle and blow air, waiting for my turn... each time I attempt to speak, he berated and insult me without just cause. I raised my voice, "I JUST CAME HERE A COUPLE DAYS AGO! I DROPPED OVER $3K IN THIS STORE (LA MIRADA), THIS IS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE? The male responded by stating, "I didn't work on your Car." I explained, that is no excuse for your attitude while you are in COMPANY UNIFORM, sitting on company property, he states, "You can talk to a manager." I stated, You are in the wrong! I explained, I was wrong for the parking... The male provokingly cut me off to state, "Then why are you talking to me?" I stated, "Your attitude triggered me, because it is unnecessary that you scold me like this..." Many other words exchanged happened with this BAD-ASS ATTITUDE from a want-a-be TOUGH GUY. The Manager pulls up... the males demeanor immediately changes as he runs to the gate (he has no keys) where the manager comes to unlock the locked gate. The male shifts gears and states, "Don't come up on me Bro..." (Really? Playing the victim? Omg.) The Manager (Martha) comes in to deescalate... I try to explain what happened, i'm being told to calm down... (thats just not right, i', really pissed now). I was polite and honest, but in the wrong for the parking situation, however, I did not deserve to be talked to like that (returning Customer). There was no harm to the property from my RV. Martha explained that he is normally a nice guy and has worked for her many years. I'm not impressed by his conduct, nor will I feel safe or secure having my RV in this facility anymore. My dollar may cost me more elsewhere... but Customer Service will not be rewarded by foul mouthed monsters. For the male Serviceman, KARMA. Word of mouth spreads fast... Customers talk. This was so unnecessary... you could have simply said, Good morning... we are not open yet. Can you pull over here, so I can park, and wait to have space for the manager to come and open the gate in 5 minutes, Thank you. Hows your morning going? This is suppose to be a friendly environment... you looked like a THUG pulling up, I could not identify that you were an EMPLOYEE at first glance. Sir, you represent the Company Name (CAMPERS WORLD). When you travel to work, and arrive on that property, Customer Service is policy. Leave your personal and anger at home. [Tip for retraining]. I like camping world. All the camping / RV $hit one needs for their camping, camper, trailer, Class A or C coach needs, at prices that are typically higher than Amazon but usually in stock for immediate purchase, especially when you're in a pinch and need it NOW!!! They have a "club option" in which you can earn discounts, special offers, etc., they can service your RV, (at elevated prices of course), make repairs to the peripherals, even sell you a mutha FUC'r... All that $hit. My biggest gripe with Camping World is their geographic undesirability. Their locations are so few and so far between one another. The closest one to me is ~ 26 freakin' miles away!!! (About an hour in SoCal traffic on the 91 Fwy). The next one is ~56 miles away and the third one is ~76 miles away. WTF??? Now I know that there plenty of weekend warriors out there, even in my neck of the woods, (they don't all live in Fontucky), and we need to repair / upgrade our gear every so often too. Add another store or two in the basin and life will be much better. read more

No email ever came and for the entire day on a Friday could not reach anyone by phone. Drove to the store on Saturday and cashier went to back to find my order. I walked into Camping World La Mirada and had a list of items I wanted to purchase as a member. Several of the items were on a good sale. Within moments, I was approached by an employee who asked if he could help me find anything and I accepted. He hung with me until I got all my items and he even went and got me a shopping cart! He steered me in the right direction on a couple products and he even took an item up to the cash register to see if it was still on a 50% sale. He was helpful, courteous and professional and I had a very positive shopping experience. I saved quite a bit of money and time due to his assistance, and therefore want to give a positive shout-out to Dennis. Camping World is fortunate to have him as their representative. This review is of the retail store portion of Camping World as I have an independent repair place that does my service work. I have been to Camping World, La Mirada on several occasions to purchase various items for my 5th wheel trailer. The store is always well stocked and usually has what I need. When they don't they promptly tell me they'll order it right away. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful, pointing out special deals or new items. When I can't find something the staff always helps me locate it. I had a couple returns from online sales and returns are no hassle. Amanda, one of the staff is always super helpful and friendly. I've seen some mixed reviews about this store but, my experiences on the retail side have always been top notch. Hope this helps....... read more

Wow what a disappointment. I went in there and the parts guy could not figure out what Lichter component key I need it out of the book. They were nice but they really don't have anything they have a lot of beach chairs if you're intrested Matt. I purchased two fans. I decided to only use one. I emailed to request a return shipping label, no response. I waited a week and drove 1.5 hours to this store. I was told since I paid online via PayPal I had to return by mail. They gave me a customer service number. I called, 30 minutes waiting/talking with a representative was told they would email me a shipping label within 24-48 hours. It's been 4 days and no shipping label! I will never shop here again. A year ago before I started my trip to Alaska to Tennessee and back to California I bought a RV. Off to Camping World in La Mirada I went. It felt like a toy store and could not stop smiling. I decided to get everything I could fixed and updated in my RV. I approached the service counter and was treated very rudely several times. I asked to install a large handle by the steps. They installed it with two screws and some gray stuff. Just into the fiberglass. Later when camping my friend stepped out and the came out, the handle came off and he fell. It was not screwed into anything. He could have been seriously hurt or it could have fell off and hit a car following me. Not sure how long I can type here but this is only 1 of the many things. One other is, I also had a WeBoost installed and then when it rained going up the CA Coast it totally flooded my top cabinets. More problems from other camping worlds. Couldn't return a product that had parts missing. More rudeness. Another camping world had a unhappy service dept man was not willing to fix the leaky holes they put in my roof or fix the handle. Very nasty mouth. I was smiling and said seems like your not having a good day. Poor guy hates his job. Besides me telling everyone I met about the terrible attitude Camping World has I heard back so many stories from about everyone I met on my fantastic adventure. Wow, there some really scary stories. Good Sam I believe, owns Camping World. Oh, Good Sam CEOs please do something!!!! Don't not bring you RV here for service!!! We took our trailer in to have the vents and covers upgraded. Trailer was brand new in perfect condition. Once it left camping World the furnace no longer worked and blinds magically fell off the wall. Gave them a chance to repair the damage they created. After over $200 worth of diagnostics, 4 days in the shop and complete removal of the furnace we were told they don't know what the problem is. That was followed with poor workmanship in putting the parts back to their original state. The exterior furnace cover was bent and overloaded with clear silicon to try to hide the damage. Our brand new trailer now looks like and functions like a worn down old one. We take extreme pride of ownership in our belongings and trusted Camping World with our home. This experience has left us deeply disappointed and infuriated. read more

I had some apprehension about going to this store based on some review hear. When I entered the store wasn't busy at all so I did a walk around. When I crossed past several members of the team. They acknowledge my presents asking if I needed help. I was there to buy a Honda generator. After some shopping I let Someone at counter Know I needed help. She wasn't able to retrieve someone so she help get what I needed from the back. At checkout, Amanda was great. She gave me a lot of information about the generator which I decided to switch out.
