I purchased two fans. I decided to only use one. I emailed to request a return shipping label, no response. I waited a week and drove 1.5 hours to this store. I was told since I paid online via PayPal I had to return by mail. They gave me a customer service number. I called, 30 minutes waiting/talking with a representative was told they would email me a shipping label within 24-48 hours. It's been 4 days and no shipping label! I will never shop here again. A year ago before I started my trip to Alaska to Tennessee and back to California I bought a RV. Off to Camping World in La Mirada I went. It felt like a toy store and could not stop smiling. I decided to get everything I could fixed and updated in my RV. I approached the service counter and was treated very rudely several times. I asked to install a large handle by the steps. They installed it with two screws and some gray stuff. Just into the fiberglass. Later when camping my friend stepped out and the came out, the handle came off and he fell. It was not screwed into anything. He could have been seriously hurt or it could have fell off and hit a car following me. Not sure how long I can type here but this is only 1 of the many things. One other is, I also had a WeBoost installed and then when it rained going up the CA Coast it totally flooded my top cabinets. More problems from other camping worlds. Couldn't return a product that had parts missing. More rudeness. Another camping world had a unhappy service dept man was not willing to fix the leaky holes they put in my roof or fix the handle. Very nasty mouth. I was smiling and said seems like your not having a good day. Poor guy hates his job. Besides me telling everyone I met about the terrible attitude Camping World has I heard back so many stories from about everyone I met on my fantastic adventure. Wow, there some really scary stories. Good Sam I believe, owns Camping World. Oh, Good Sam CEOs please do something!!!! I owned my own business for a long time and I'd suggest you dismiss the people who do not want to be polite to the customers and also and even more importantly stop doing crappy service work that could injure people. Don't not bring you RV here for service!!! We took our trailer in to have the vents and covers upgraded. Trailer was brand new in perfect condition. Once it left camping World the furnace no longer worked and blinds magically fell off the wall. Gave them a chance to repair the damage they created. After over $200 worth of diagnostics, 4 days in the shop and complete removal of the furnace we were told they don't know what the problem is. That was followed with poor workmanship in putting the parts back to their original state. The exterior furnace cover was bent and overloaded with clear silicon to try to hide the damage. Our brand new trailer now looks like and functions like a worn down old one. We take extreme pride of ownership in our belongings and trusted Camping World with our home. This experience has left us deeply disappointed and infuriated. read more

I had some apprehension about going to this store based on some review hear. When I entered the store wasn't busy at all so I did a walk around. When I crossed past several members of the team. They acknowledge my presents asking if I needed help. I was there to buy a Honda generator. After some shopping I let Someone at counter Know I needed help. She wasn't able to retrieve someone so she help get what I needed from the back. At checkout, Amanda was great. She gave me a lot of information about the generator which I decided to switch out. She went and got it herself to expedite the check out. She was very informative and extremely polite offering me many opportunities to find camping sites and dumping stations. Worst Service ever!! This company has cost me more then the repair work. I dropped off my coach to get two things done 4 weeks ago. An hydraulic HWH service for my leveling and and slide outs. They said it would be looked at in a week when the tech came back from vacation. As well a new toilet installed. I have a 2007 pusher with 4 slides. I have followed up all month, with calls here and there, the parts came in for the toilet and they installed it the parts came in for the HWH and they did nothing for over two weeks. I was promised it would be looked at as soon ans the new control board came in. But that did not happen. they installed the toilet as they stated but sat and did NOTHING with the more technical issue, Based on what the I learned this weekend on my final follow up they unit has not been touched. I spoke to Joseph a service writer who was in this weekend I explained I have heard nothing and I need to pick up the coach he said his service manager is assuring me the unit will be ready for pick up Monday. This morning they obviously started the HWH service and review because they discovered after 11:00am today that they needed more parts and it is going to take 2 more weeks..to get the parts that they need. I need this coach this Friday for a 10 day event. They knew this and they had the time to do this job but waited. today I asked what happened and my original service writer "Kylie" told me she has been asking and bugging "Jose" the HWH tech for the last two weeks to work on the unit and he would not do anything. I was shocked by this. Then I asked her what else did she do and she said she asked Paul and Dave (service manager and store manager) who also did nothing about it. I asked to talk to either of them and conveniently neither of them are there. so I asked about the general manager - Out on Monday but she offered an acting manager named Jeff. I said is he available she said he just walked up to her so I could talk to him now. Then she put me on hold for over 5 minutes obviously to debrief Jeff before he got thrown into a buzz saw. I hung up and called the corp number that you hear when you call in- It is a message from Marcus stating if you don't get the service you deserve and you are not happy he will do something to resolve the issues. I called the number and it is a call center, so the message is "marketing" a empty warranty of service at this point.... We will see if the call center has any value at all. Now I am going to miss my event and I will not be able to tow my trailer to this event, all as result of a huge culture issue at Camping World. If staff does not care this is what happens. I run a service based company and if my team treated my clients with this level of care I would lose the clients. So this would be their job I would not stand for this level of service and lack of accountability. For someone to tell me they kept bugging someone else to do a job ? What kind of shop does not operate with management oversight and schedules ? Camping world. There are other shops out there do not use these guys - if anything changes or they actually fix this problem I will update the review with news read more

Horrible customer service, rude lady at the desk. My step dad a senior citizen came in asking a question about the towing hitch they had installed by this dealership. My step dad was provided no written instructions and only shown once as the place was closing. He came in to ask if he was performing the proper steps because when he tows it drains his car battery. The rude woman at the front desk dismissed his question quoted him $200 just to speak to a technician in 3 weeks. With the thousands of dollars they spent having that installed you would think the dealership would give a serios citizen man 10 minutes of their time instead rudely dismissing him. Wow, I did not realize that customer service was still part of our society! I called in, talked to Paul. He said he would put my 4 six volt golf cart batteries aside for me. When I arrived they were in a shopping cart, ready to go. He pushed the cart out to my truck, picked up every battery (each of them weigh 62 pounds) and put them in my truck as well as lifting each of my old batteries out of my truck and took them back in to the store. I am writing this review so other consumers can avoid being duped by Camping World (La Mirada). I have a 2103 Coachman Sport Coach. I took my RV to Camping World December 2021. I had a leaking roof and furnace issue. They sealed the seam on the roof ($1,542.00). After they checked out the furnace, I got an estimate for $2,439.00. It was also time for some routine servicing. My mobile RV serviceman came to my home to service my RV and I ask him to look at the furnace, after about 15 minutes he said it was a fuse. He replaced the fuse and the furnace started working and has continued to work. I called Camping World to share my experience and I was shocked at how rude and condescending the customer service/management team was. I wanted them to know what happened. You would think they would have thanked me and maybe coached the staff member that wrote that $2,439.00 estimated. I guess they don't care about duping customers. Paul Constantine was rude. Martha who I think is the General Manager was arrogant and not at all helpful. Brenda Truffa who was looking into my complaint, after leaving her several voicemail messages she sent me an email that was too little too late. In all fairness I spoke with a Dan, he answered the 866.232.8990 number he was very nice. Camping world did refund the diagnostic fee for the furnace but they did not send the before and after pictures of the roof. We wanted to plan our first camping trip with our extended family. We rented an RV (from Cruise America) and were excited to purchase various camping items at Camping World in La Mirada near the 5 fwy. We wanted to rent an RV first, before we bought our own. Just to see if we liked the experience. First of all, I want to say that I am a huge fan of Marcus Lemonis. I watch all of his shows. I admire his work ethic, his incredible business intelligence and most of all his heart. I really feel he wants to help people succeed, as well as himself. I love this guy! When we got there, we were a little disappointed in the overall appearance of the store. The outside entrance was very dirty. It was like no one ever cleaned it. It could be that theres nearby freeway expansion construction going on. But at least someone could hose down the front of it! The inside of the store was kind of tired looking. It looked like it needed a fresh makeover. I enjoy watching him makeover the stores on his show The Profit. If I were the CEO of Camping World, I would want to know honest customer feedback. Our cashier was friendly as well as other staff too. I was excited to shop at Marcus Lemonis' store. But when I got there, it didn't have that "I want to shop here" appeal. I hope the management takes this review to heart and starts tidying up the place or giving it a good wash down. Incompetent installers, overpriced goods, and garbage service. Had CW install an AC in my 5th Wheel master bedroom. I've taken it back to be fixed 3 times and it is still leaking on me while I sleep. Do you have any idea what it entails for me to keep bringing it back? At least a half day off work, half tank of diesel each time, and 2 hours of my time each way. It is now being repaired by a local mom and pop shop and guess what, it isnt leaking. So many other places to buy RV parts and service from, and they will see my money. They can care Less about any concerns you have. This store is a joke, REALLY A JOKE. I went in for an oil change on my RV and Generator. The other shops were charging me half of what they were charging and when I asked them to be competitive, they would not lower their price. I also had a steering stabilizer installed and I had to come back 2 times for it to be installed properly. It came loose. I ended up buying a torque wrench on Amazon and tightening it myself. What did I pay them for? Such bad service. Whenever I came back with a problem on my RV, they did not make me feel like they wanted to take care of it. I felt like a nuisance to them. The worst part is, when standing there in line they talk about their previous customer actions. I was standing in line and the cashier was talking to the other cashier about how terrible a customer was. So unprofessional! I have been a Good Sam Platinum member for several years but that means nothing to them. I bought an RV from Camping World and I have been with Camping World for 12 years. That means nothing! Every time I go inside there I just pray that someone will be nice. I just get what I want and leave.I wish they just cared about my membership. I will reach out to Marcus Lemonis on Facebook. I received a response to my review and it seems as though they might want to refund the $7.50 charge however, the correction should have been made at the time I paid my bill....It would also be nice if they covered their customers seat/floors as a courtesy so that their mechanics did not transfer dirt and grease onto the seats...and did not look at it as an additional opportunity to make a little more money. Camping worlds prices are already a bit higher than other RV shops...need a great, honest and fair RV repair shop...go to Premium RV in La Habra and see Rick - you will not be disappointed... Camping World - teach your employees about what customer service entails and then empower them..this is a competitive market - come into the 90's at least. read more

I was prepping the rig for a trip, went out yesterday morning, and found that the coach batteries were dead ... again. Five years old. Time to replace. Called Camping World. They were busy but said they could fit me in, so I headed up there. Peter took care of me quickly and professionally, and that's about all any of us ask at places like this. He also checked the air pressure in my tires and found a valve extension for one of the inside tires that doesn't work and looks like it hasn't for quite a while. As a result, the outside tire was inflated to 70 lbs and the inside one was close to 50 lbs. In my book, that's a huge safety hazard. When I've been to Mike Thompson (my original RV dealer) in the past I've asked them to check the pressure and they always said they did it. Now I'm not so sure, given that the extension doesn't work. They should have told me about it. Now I'm afraid to trust them. Camping World DID tell me about it. Big difference. I think my RV has found a new and better home. read more

I always have to come to this stores location, because they never pick up their phones. I go there to order parts for my RVs, because it's the only one closest to my buisness location. I have 12 RVs and run an RV rental buisness so I need parts sometimes on the fly and have a time frame for when I need them. I get when it's peak season things are busy, But it's the same when it's not peak camping season. This store is the closet one to me, and it's a 45 minute drive there. I call them 30 minutes after they open at 9, and again 3-5 more times during the day at different hours to try and reach someone. I get ignored every time I call. Nobody answers! Eventually I always end up having to drive there and hope they have what I need in stock or I'm out of luck and time. I've had to deal with this experience every time I try and reach out to them. This always happens every time I call, and it's the reason for this now 1 star review. Their location north of San Fernando is somewhat better. This locations call call center for their parts department is a depressing joke. Their store manager needs to step up their game with finding a solution. read more

**** BEWARE *** Don't take your RV to this place. I took my RV in to Camping World to have some maintenance performed. Little did I know that this place has no security. My unit was vandalized and broke into. The Los Angeles Sheriff said they have taken multiple reports at this location. Also the neighbor next door has confirmed this too. Camping World has been very difficult to work with. They will not provide their insurance information to me. I have lost trust in them and will be moving my RV to another repair facility. I can't believe they left my RV in the parking lot unattended or in a fenced off lot. What lack of security they have. I had a Wonderful experience purchasing a new RV from Camping World in Newhall. My sales person Rebecca was great. no pressure, answered all of my questions, felt totally comfortable. She was the reason we purchased from Camping World. Rick in the parts department was very helpful pre-ordering everything I required for my truck. Katherine my personal shopper helped me pick out items I needed for the RV. Mike in the service department was Great with my pre-delivery inspection. We owned a travel trailer for years and last year purchased a motorhome. For both, we have relied on our local Camping World in La Mirada to perform routine maintenance. This week however, they went above and beyond and helped us with our motorized entry level steps. To give you an idea of how this place operates, you call ahead and make an appointment for service. The "menu" that Camping World publishes includes routine maintenance like oil changes, AC servicing, etc. They don't work on engines, transmissions or brakes. Calling ahead to schedule an appointment is important since they usually have a several weeks waiting list. I called and made an appointment for one of our AC units on the roof that stopped working. With working on week days, it's difficult to take off but Camping World let me drop off the RV on Saturday. When I arrived on Saturday, Carl, one of the service advisors, checked me in and completed the paperwork for the work to be done. I also told him I'd like to get an oil change on the diesel engine and the generator. Since these were not originally scheduled, they would need to keep the motorhome a few days longer to work this into the schedule. This was no problem since it was my fault for not scheduling all the work to be completed when I made the appointment. I also asked if they could fill the propane tank on Tuesday since it's 25% off on Tuesdays. What happened next is one of the reasons I like Camping World so much. Carlo took me into the bays where they work on the RV's and introduced me to Scotro, one of the mechanics who would be working on our rig. Scotro went with me to the RV and listened as I explained what was happening with the AC unit. I had never told Camping World our entry door steps weren't working properly because I figured this is something I would need to have fixed elsewhere. As soon as Scotro saw the steps, he told me he would take a look and could likely fix it. The next week, I received a call letting me know that the AC was repaired (problem with a wire) and oil changes complete. They looked at the steps and needed a replacement motor/gearbox assembly. I had already spoken with Tiffin, the manufacturer of the RV and they mailed me a new motor and I had it with me at work. I called an Uber and had the driver deliver the new motor to Camping World within the hour. The steps were fixed by that afternoon. When I arrived to pick-up the RV, it took no more than 10 minutes and I was driving home. The propane had been filled and everything was working. The level of communication with everyone from Carl on the front end to Scotro (and I believe Larry, who also worked on the RV) was exceptional. In addition, the mechanics have a lot of knowledge and know how to trouble-shoot issues. read more

BEWARE OF THIS SHADY BUSINESS! So I see a sign for some great deal on an RV rental. We're headed off to Glamis for some riding, so I think of Camping World and their big sale. So at pickup, the guy at CW gives us directions on what is extra, what is included, how to work things, etc. Now, I have rented and used RVs before, so I'm no idiot when it comes to manning these things, but uh we got quite a surprise when we returned the thing. Assuming I was a total idiot, CW and its crappy-employee-of-the-month Brian accused me of breaking their CD player, using up 10 HOURS on the generator (I concede at MOST it was 3) and then treats me like a sucker when I protest. Long story short. I put a CD in the CD player, it didn't work the whole time (camping sucks with no tunage, as you know) and it won't even eject my CD. When I drop off the RV at the end of the trip, Brian tells me about the generator use, which I protest, then I tell him about the CD issue. "How bout we work out a plan," I offer. "Well, let's see what's up with your CD and we will get it out and send it to you in the mail," he says. Great! Two days later he calls and insists for me to drive my happy self on over to their shop (20 miles away)! Adding serious insult to injury, this "customer service" representative busts the rolling neck, what-you-talkin'-bout-Willis accusatory stance on me, throwing my CD at me, saying I owe him $200 for the CD player. Apparently there were two CDs in there, unbeknown to me, and I am somehow responsible. Bottom line, he spoke to me like a punk on the street, he rolled his eyes and neck at me, made me come down to the shop to force me to pay for it, then - and I kid you not - runs into the bathroom with my CD so that I am unable to retrieve it. They lured me in there on false pretenses of a super sale, end up charging me more and treated me unprofessionally, rude and unjustly. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT patronize this business. They will try their darnedest to pull the wool over your eyes and then run into the bathroom upon confrontation. read more

The Service Dept at Camping World La Mirada have brought back my DREAM in bright living color again .... after another facility turned had turned it into a my nightmare. After retiring from military service, years of saving and working hard... my dream was to travel the country in an RV to look for a place my puppies and I could call home... as well as finally get to travel to all the places I never found time to go while I was on active duty. I was THRILLED to finally be starting my adventure when I bought my coach in mid Apr 2014. I soon noticed that the Camping World facility I purchased from were content to have their sizable check and didn't give a FLIP about me or the repairs/warranty issues that needed to be addressed. They were even inferring that I was responsible for some of the issues! (not likely as I drove it straight home and it sat parked in front of my friend's house). After 2 months of waiting for them to even begin... I left on my trip. Sadly in the first RV park I went to, I got hit by a 5th wheel that hadn't pulled in his slide. Seriously universe?!! I began to question my decision to follow my dream to live in an RV!!! 3 or 4 other RV park patrons (not related to each other) came by to tell me that it'd be worth my while to travel the 6-7 hours to go down to La Mirada Camping World to get the bodywork repaired and address the other issues that still had not even been started. La Mirada Camping World has gone above and beyond from day one! In less than 2 days they had already begun work on issues that had been lingering since mid April! And even took it upon themselves to fix a few new ones they found too! In the meantime, they have allowed me to park in the lot while waiting for parts and have kept me in the loop on the status of the repairs with updates as they knew more. This was FAR beyond good customer service. This was them treating me how they would treat someone in their family. As a woman making a bold and daring life choice to travel the country, this kind of compassion and support when I was feeling defeated has been priceless. I knew what we needed and thought i would ask and if the price was right pay these guys to install them...HAHHA.. The Lady at the parts counter didn't even know what they were! She looked them up on the computer and asked me at least 5 times 'what are they called again?" (My wife tells her) She has to go in the back and get Mr. Manager..I tell him..He tells her to call Reese (they make the hitch I have)......She calls Reese and again can't name the part, asks me to name the part again, my wife repiles with the part name..Mr Manager looks it up on his computer and gives me the price and part number... So we walked up to the door and the female employee turned us away saying they were already closed for the day. While walking back to our car an older white man pulled up speeding through the parking lot.... Walked up to the door and she let him in! I always get good friendly service at this location, but Rhonda seemed to read in-between the lines and offered her knowledge and expertise with a bug smile I could see through the phone. Everything in this review is my personal opinion, based on my experiences with the company. I just say this because this is the kind of company that would probably sue someone for a bad review, so let's be clear that everything is my opinion, as if I have to say that, but let's keep the lawyers happy. Anyway, in my opinion, this company is completely incompetent and dishonest, based on extensive experience. I ordered a safe from their Gander Outdoor subsidiary in September 2018 and was promised delivery on five separate dates. They kept apologizing and giving me a new, later date. I was even told on 4 December that my safe had been received at the warehouse and would be shipped by Friday. When I called back this week to inquire about why I had not received tracking information, I was told that no safes had been received and that the information provided earlier was incorrect, in other words another fabrication to string the customer along and keep them "happy." To date, December 2018, I still have no safe and they keep encouraging me to cancel my order, I believe so they won't have to give me the safe at the good price I obtained from their online store. In over fifty years of retail buying, this is by far the worst company I have dealt with, and I say that as a Camping World customer and Elite Good Sam Club member. I also purchased a very high end Fifth Wheel trailer back in 2015 and had nothing but problems with the selling Camping World dealer, and also with service at various Camping World dealers over the past two years, so this is not just something that is just a Gander Outdoor problem. In summary, I've had nothing but bad experiences from Camping World and their various companies, so DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY if your want a pleasant shopping experience and customer care after the sale. There are far better places to go and spend your hard earned dollars. Update: I just cancelled my safe order with Gander Outdoors, their subsidiary, so I guess I gave them what they wanted by letting them off the hook. Let's just hope I get my refund - past experience says I'll have to fight them for my own money that they've had since September 2018, since unlike everyone else, they require payment in full at time of sale, not when they ship. It's good to have an RV supply/ Service store like this to help you get all the things you didn't know you needed. Pros: Lots of cool stuff for your rv and camping needs. Can bail you out of an emergency. Nice stores and catalogues Cons: Store prices not the same as catalogue, no price matching of competitor prices. We are new trailer owners and we really enjoyed the store! I think we spent a couple hours there.

We've waited 2 years to finally get a satellite dish installed on our RV. We've dragged our feet because we just never knew where to start. Went into Camping World, started talking to Kylie B and our decision was made! She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, upfront and honest. And so very helpful and patient when answering our 5000 questions! We got our dish tailgater and wally receivers. Kylie got us set up for installation the next morning. we contacted Dish network and got set up with our monthly 120+ plus channel plan. I love it because it's a month to month service so it's basically "use when needed'. David the "satellite guy" installed our device and explained everything we need to know in detail. He is so funny and full of energy - it was a pleasure meeting him!! All in all this was a great experience and we cannot wait to hit the road knowing that once we are parked at the numerous stops along the way.....I'll have my TV! I just want to refresh my previous review on this place. I do not know why they did not bother to tell me there had just been a blow out two weeks prior to me buying this trailer. I think legally they should have informed me of this. People all I can tell you is anything they tell you is questionable of being even close to the truth. From the service dept. To the sales dept.
