I actually left a review previously but then noticed each review gets a response from a paid employee expressing how sorry they are for being a bad company and encouraging further contact to try to resolve issues. Well I tried that avenue multiple times and it does get you a call back from the non responsive dealership. But then you just get more lip service, lies, inaction, incompetent service, etc. Save yourself a lot of headaches and do business elsewhere. I wish I could give them ZERO. They delivered and broke my brand new fifth wheel, lied to Jayco about it and refuse to take any responsibility for not charging my auxiliary batteries before delivery which caused the problem in the first place. The owners lied to Jayco by telling them I told their professional delivery driver how to do his job !?! Explain to me like a four year year old why I would pay to do that !?! The driver was only able to let one single front leveling leg down and left without a proper walk through. The rock panel buckled overnight, I called right away and was ignored all together. I left messages with the owners both NEVER CALLED ME BACK ! I'm in the process of suing them for damages and liability. Where to start. Bought a brand new Keystone cougar 22rbswe. The 1st year was toast because a/c didn't work....twice. the 2nd time I was in, the counter person climbed on roof, and then showed me a photo of a large Crack on the roof. I opted to get it resealed. They quoted xxxx amount. I agreed. A week later, the guy calls, says " the tech has to clean the roof first... add another $500.00. I sold it after that. Buyer beware....they could give a hoot about helping you. They only pick jobs that pay them well. You cannot call and get anything but a voice message. The will not return any calls . Overall good experience at camping world of Reno. Goods -Dilip was very friendly and easy to work with. When he couldn't answer a question he got me in contact with a rep from the manufacture. I had a slew of very specific questions so this was very helpful! -Good selection of RVs -Problems with the RV were addressed (eventually) -Madison in the finance department was fast and friendly. Others -High pressure...asked to see a driver license to look at a trailer, had to wait for the sales team to come up with what trailers they were going to show me when I was only interested in seeing one trailer and floor plan, was pressured to speak to the manager in order to leave. I was going to walk out of the door but it made my wife feel uncomfortable. -Problems identified with the trailer that we purchased were not taken care of prior to pickup. I would have hoped that even if the problems did not get relayed to the PDI team that most of them would have been caught prior to pickup (not winterized properly, broken window shade) there was a cracked attic vent that took some time to repair. -While this is true at every RV dealership, Its worth mentioning, rv sales people know very little about RVs and most do not camp. This is frustrating when you have specific questions. Overall Camping worlds buying process is high pressure and uncomfortable, there is poor communication between the sales team and the service center. The overall processes in place at camping world seems to be poor, I think that I got lucky and had a good sales person and PDI folks who were able to make it way less painful then it had the potential to be. read more

This is the suckiest most dishonest scam rv dealership on the face of the planet. I have been trying to purchase an rv at this and other Camping World dealerships for over a year. Their most recent attempt at scamming me was by changing the listed price of a unit I had already made an offer on. I was browsing the website and found the perfect entry level trailer for my needs listed at $26,995.00. I contacted the manager Cory. Asked why the price was soo low. Asked if I could make an offer. Made an offer. Then, I was pawned off to same sales person that tried to screw me over prior. He asked me for all the information I've been giving CW all year. I had to provide it again. The next thing I know, Camping World Reno is submitting proposals to me with a different price. Did they think I wouldn't notice that the price had changed? I am expecting the advertised price. Then, I go look on the website, and the stock # price has risen by almost $6000.00! They didn't even mention it. I ask them, they say the price changes. I go look at all the RVs I've been looking at all year long ... none of the prices have changed by $6000.00! Every time they submit a proposal to me, the line items change. There's a different fee added on every time the proposal come back to me. Sometimes, there is a fee and then it's not there anymore ... like the $5 Tire Tax. Other Camping World dealerships are doing the same types of things. Asking new prices for old used damaged trailers. One dealership wanted me to pay new prices for a used RV with no warranty. Another dealership wanted me to pay new prices for a used RV that was damaged with no warranty ... completely caved in on the front by an accident. My guess is the RV is completely totaled. They switch the listed prices. Adding fees to the final number. Taxing you for the tax amount. Telling you certain options are mandatory. They try to sell you things that are supposed to come with the rv! It's goes on and on. I'm still trying to purchase an rv, but I can't imagine why anyone would go to Camping World Reno, or any Camping World. They forget about you, they sell the trailer you've been working on for a week, they fail to respond, and then they try to rip you off! Not once has a dealership in this RV world met my budget price. I've told all these dealerships my budget up front. That's what I can afford. They always want more down, more a month, and more final price. If they can't meet my budget, then why put me through all this? What makes them think I can afford more than my budget? How dumb do they think I am? It's sickening and I'm either taking them to small claims or seeking an attorney. To me this company is all lies, scams, fraud, and dishonesty. Finally, I have to mention my credit report and credit checks. Camping World of Mesa Az did a hard inquiry of my credit report. Almost immediately, as in the very next day, a collection account appeared on my credit report, dropping my otherwise perfect credit down 78 points in one day! I don't know what I'm concerned with more, the drastic drop in my credit, or the timing of it. Is it just a coincidence that a collection appears on my credit report just as I'm trying to make an investment in my small business? I think not. I think all of this is tied together, somehow. A bad credit report means I have to pay more money. I'm honestly thinking about file a report with a law enforcement agency. read more

I will add to the cacophonous masses. The verdict is in. The vast majority of us agree that Camping World engages in predatory sales tactics, unethical business practices, annoying marketing strategies, and downright atrocious service. My experience came when I was looking for a trailer. The sales person used the normal tactics of asking me what monthly payment I could afford, if I was "willing to buy a trailer today if we could make a deal," and assured me we would "get me camping." The rhetorical construction of these approaches involve psychological and "data-based" approaches to sales designed to manipulate the customer. I'm not into it. The trailer was "on clearance." I was enticed by the pricing and so I went inside to talk numbers. I was shocked when the price went from $25,999 up to nearly $35,000 with add-ons, up sales, licensing, fees, taxes, AND A $1300 "set-up" charge. I laughed. I told the salesman I did not want my credit Tun until we could come to a verbal agreement on price. In the end, they forced me to sign and ran my credit just to negotiate. They also told me I was REQUIRED to finance through them for at least 7 months or they would not agree to a deal. I finally offered them $27,000 out the door, firm. I already knew that the online price was 25.475. So at the very least there was still room on the price. After 15 minutes the rep came back and fed me a line about how I had gotten what I wanted. He started going over the options for money down and monthly payments. When I looked at the out the door price it was $30 higher than before he went into the managers office. I thanked him and told him we wouldn't be able to make a deal. As I was leaving, the manager chased me down and asked me why I was leaving. He chastised me for being unwilling to negotiate. I told him he had my offer at $27k, firm. He went inside and then remembered to tell me I was a fool because that's not how negotiations work. I told him that was how this negotiation worked and he knew my offer. He then told me "you'll be back to buy that trailer in a week." I said, "Your rep assured me that at the low price you'd sell that thing by tomorrow, but also I will NEVER buy anything from Camping World in my life. I don't do business this way." He again went inside. He returned again and asked "what way?" I said, "With lies and pressure." He denied doing those things. So I pointed out to him a few of the lies he and the sales person had told me, the "pressure Sales" approach they utilize, and reiterated my clear, firm, reasonable offer. He he berated me at this point. When he went inside he went to his office and glared at me from his office as I walked to my truck and left the parking lot. He thought he was intimidating. Of course I continued to receive emails, phone calls, text messages all trying to get me to buy a trailer. Because I'm a lead in the CW system now. Just save yourself the hassle. Don't go on their website. Don't step foot on their lot. And for the love of god, don't talk to a sales person. read more

After leaving them a five star review as Camping World taking over I am very disappointed in the current service department. After having them check out the brakes on my travel trailer and telling me they were fine, I experienced the same problem with stopping. Because I trusted camping world ( silly me), I had my tow vehicle checked out. There were no problems. I took the trailer to RV Country to have it checked out. The problem was grease in the brake drum from a faulty seal. Because the problem never changed and I parked the trailer after a short trip, I believe they never took the brake drums off causing a dangerous situation to continue. I spoke to the service manager who chastised me for not bringing it back to them as soon as I noticed the problem hadn't been fixed. I explained due to my misplaced trust I believed it was a problem with my tow vehicle. He said he would " look into it" and get back to me. Several weeks later it has become obvious they did not care about my safety and the faulty diagnosis they made. Don't go there ! read more

When he finally would engage, communication was unprofessional and unhelpful. It's such a shame, because the sales rep we worked with was great, but the moment you get handed off to accounting/finance, it's all down hill. We have a 1979 Minnie Winni Class C Moterhome. We purchased a few years ago from a private seller. We have had issues with other Local RV service companies. I started getting help from Sierra RV a few years ago. The Parts and Service Department are amazing. They are always busy but that is a great sign. Scott in parts has been such a wealth of help and knowledge. We are Newbies in the RV world. I had some work done on our Shanti'bago this early summer. New AC Unit put on and some electrical work. By far the worst! In all fairness, after my last review Camping World Corporation did reach out to me immediately. But the repairs have still not been made. The shop said they're waiting on parts. Then, months later, a few weeks ago they said they have the parts. I offered to bring my unit down and drop it off, asking how long they would take to do the repairs. I was told one week. I specifically asked to make sure they have all the parts, so after one week I wouldn't be told they were still waiting on parts. they assured me they have all the parts and all the work would get done in one week. So, I packed everything up and drove it down and dropped it off. Six business days later I went back to pick it up and i was told that the work did NOT GET DONE BECAUSE THEY'RE WAITING ON PARTS!!! I bring the unit back home only to find more damage to my unit caused by them; The hot water heater now leaks and the latch is broken of the hot water heater door. This place SUCKS!!! And now it's been six months since they delivered my unit and I was told the parts were on order. The parts could have been rowed from China in a slow rowboat by now. Now, after all their lies, excuses, damaging my R.V. and NO service, I am told that if I want repairs made I have to pay for a mechanic to come out for an evaluation? Really, I live nine minutes from their shop. So if you are going to buy anything from Camping World do not expect them to honor their warranty. You really should buy it somewhere else. read more

Stopped in over the weekend to continue researching RV's for a future purchase and was very pleased. They have a great selection in different price points. It was nice because they were unlocked so you could wander at leisure. This was great for us as we are still deciding what will work for us. It was helpful to be able to compare right there on the lot. Sierra RV is affiliated with Camping World. If you decide to purchase through them, there are added perks including reserved campsites. They make it attractive to purchase through them and we are considering it. Their salespeople were helpful and knowledgeable but not overly pushy. We will definitely consider Sierra RV when we are ready to purchase. read more

Never again!!! Second time I brought my trailer in. It's been there for over 4 months for a simple recall fix. No communication, no call back, can't even find me in the system. Last time they damaged my brand new trailer in a collision while doing warranty work. Did not finish the repairs and promised me a new window, which they never provided. Claimed my service person left the company and no record.... On top of that they had the nerve to charge me for inspection of warranty items! Don't come here for any service. read more

Bought a brand new trailer and a few items were missing upon walk through. Many stories: parts will be located, we have the parts here somewhere, they will be there when we deliver, we will order them...... None of this was true. Still don't have the missing items even after engaging Camping World HQ. Now I have a broken refrigerator and although I can order the part they say is defective and have it in three days, they can't get it. Find another dealer and make sure there is service support. Bought a new trailer in February, finally got to take it out camping and was unfortunately not able to light our hot water heater. We tried a few things and nothing worked. Called and was told they were unable to get me in until August. I asked if someone could just help us to make sure it was not operator error because it is a brand new unit, took it in and Tim and one of his employees trouble shooted to see what was going on and fixed it for us right there. We went to camp world to try and get some education on a trailer or 5th wheel. The gentleman running sales was frankly rude. He told us that the lot was "not an open lot" meaning we could not just tour the inside of any trailer which is fine however, he did not help guide us much as to what we should consider. He said we needed to "come in knowing what we want." When looking at a few options we asked about towing vehicle requirements and his response was "I don't sell trucks." Update from my previous review on 8/26/2023. This company is the absolute worst. We still don't have our camper repaired and returned. No one will call you unless you call them, even at that often no one is available or they don't return calls in a timely fashion. Now I am being told that the Vin inspection was never received when the tracking via Fed-EX says that it was delivered. Bought our trailer from Sierra Rv in 2020 had problems first trip out the service dept was fast and quick to replace the problems now that camping world took over I regret taking my trailer back for service and repairs very expensive took months for a appt to winterize trailer they charge for everything and when I say everything that includes the PPE charge I guess cause of COVID we are responsible for paying for their PPE which is absurd !!!! The fact they would also charge 30 mins worth of work to lower the ball on the hitch for me when it would take 1-5 mins to do is crazy !!! I already spoke with another trailer company in town which said take it to them they can can get it in within 1 month to winterize! I am a little late with this review but it has taken me a year to realize that I would never buy an RV from this company. We saw their advertisement for a large trailer that we thought might work for us. We got there and was steered away from that trailer to another one much higher in price. When we told them it was higher than we wanted to spend, they asked what monthly payment could we afford. We told them that was not the issue we are looking for the best price and would pay cash. Any deal for cash? No, no deals for cash. They like financing through their company. I didn't feel they wanted cash at all. They make money on the interest. We never told them a price we wanted or could afford, that was not their business at all. We find the one we want and we pay for it, simple. So we told them we wanted to see the special one they advertised (Bullet). He said, "oh yeah, it is over here but we have others interested and who ever signs first will get it". He even pointed over to another couple who were there and we never once saw them looking at it instead they were looking at Motorhomes. When we asked the price out the door, he never answered us just kept telling us what a deal it was right now. Finally, we got a price (not out the door) and it was $3k over the price listed in the ad. We looked at a few other units while we felt pressured to buy. We told him we would think about it and unfortunately we gave him our number when he asked for it. BIG MISTAKE...He bothered us with calls for at least a year. We even told him we were not going to buy right now. The calls never stopped until I blocked the numbers he was using to call. Horrible experience picking up our first camper here. If you want a no hassle, smooth buying experience.. go elsewhere. We drove 5 hours to pick up our camper on a Friday to only find out they 'forgot' to schedule us in with service team for pickup. Secondly, the service team cut out and swapped the OEM wiring harness AFTER our walkthrough and payment.. without telling us! Leaving me, the buyer, to scramble day-of to find an OEM plug nearby. I paid for it out of pocket and Sierra RV claimed they would reimburse for their error. Never received anything. The sales team not only lied to our face about our pickup date being scheduled, but was absolutely rude and not professional. Not going to name names, but what a joke! read more

Horrible experience and will absolutely not return. Came to have black tank repaired and over 6 weeks later picked up our RV sans the bumper cap and D ring connector to tow. Had them review photos and surprise they were attached on drop off but not there on pick up. Took the RV out two weeks ago and discovered grey and black tank ruptured to suggest, strongly , not winterized appropriately. Took this to another RV shop and incurred an additional $600 repair bill. Very disappointed and will not return! Felt like I was undervalued and taken advantage of. read more

Factory says one thing dealership says another. After about 5 months of down time things are not resolved. Meanwhile at 400 a month for a payment for something that doesn't work. After trading in a class A that I purchased in Reno, I have been sent away, been refused to be seen, and frankly the finance dept is just holding onto my money that should be refunded for the extended warranties I had purchase for the RV. Drive right by!!! Wish I had read the reviews before buying in July 2020. I've given them every opportunity to make things right by calling and basically begging for them to do their job. Jamie and Kathy have been super polite, but the bottom line is every interaction we've had with Sierra RV has ended with us being frustrated and feeling like the company just couldn't care any less that we've been ripped off. From the buying process to the warranty work, this place couldn't screw things up much worse. Our trailer has been sitting for warranty work for three months while I keep making payments on a trailer we can't use or sell. Super disappointing. I would absolutely not buy from them again. I would gladly pay more with a company that cares for their customers after they cash the check. I have been trying for 2 weeks to get a hold of someone that will come fix the problems the trailer was delivered with, empty propane tanks and a disconnected kitchen sink. Seems simple enough, but all that's been accomplished is having multiple people take my number down with no one getting back to me. Then one of those people mentions that it will be $75 for a service call in my area. Umm this is not a service call. We inquired about buying a new fifth wheel so I could work as a travel nurse. The initial application process and tour was great. However, after applying we never heard back. We called time and time again and never received a call back. They were always out of office or sent us to voicemail. We applied to get a fifth wheel in July and it is now September.
