The sales team is awesome, however that's as far as it goes. There service department is terrible. They won't return calls, won't inform you of the progress, doesn't meet or even come close to a good level of customer service and will allow your unit to just sit in their yard for months on end. I bought my RV back in July 2019 and they still haven't repaired/ replaced items pointed out back then. My advise don't give them your business because if you do they will not follow through with taking care of your repairs/ service or any warranty items. Sorry I did business with them! I just read your response to my review as well as other reviews and they all read the same! I've called the office of Marcus VIP as well as sent a email and never received a response to neither! The company shows no loyalty to its customers and will tell you what they think you want to hear. The one thing consistent with Camping World is how often they let me down. Came in to purchase their advertised recliner chair SKU #116632. Wouldn't you know it? They only have SKU #116631 in inventory! No other stores or warehouses in their market has this chair, and apparently "31" doesn't qualify for the advertised sale, even though it is the exact same price. I wrote letters to the BBB / Consumer Affairs and Forest River and received a call from the BAR (bureau of automotive repair) saying they would handle my case which they did and I couldn't be happier, my trailer was fixed by a mobile technician from my local area and Camping World paid for it. Linda is amazing. She is warm, caring and has a great sense of humor. She is the reason my husband and I left after looking at trailers and ended up coming back. We had no intention of purchasing, but we ended up coming back and are happy we did. There was a mix up and they gave us the warranty even though my husband originally said he did not want it. The lady we sat down with would not take No for an answer and just continued ignoring him as he told her we did not want it. I finally had to tell her if we say No, then that is that. She was not happy and it was clear. Linda stepped in and explained it and everything was fine after that. They also had to print up a gift card for us and it took 30-45 min for them to do that, not sure why they couldn't just print up one and give it to us. We were there for hours instead of just an hour. It seemed as if we were being punished for refusing the warranty. Linda made it right every time and was there to check on it the whole time we were there. We really love our new trailer and if you're going to buy one, ask for Linda. Another two weeks before they assessed the issues I brought it in for . Then they said 3 of the 4 things I brought in for would not be covered by the warranty. My wife and I are retired now and decided to get a 5th wheel . We have been shopping around since October 2018 several dealer ships at first we thought to get a motor home but after talking to several friends and other people they suggested a 5th wheel . I must say all of the sales people at the Vacaville store were friendly but we spoke to Ralph Campbell the end of last year and were very impressed with his knowledge and personality so we went back to him to buy it. Even the people in the store were friendly and helpful also. This place is trash... and a SCAM! I would give zero stars if possible but I went in with my mom and wife to take a look at RVs for my mom. We went through a couple of rvs and the sales guy there was kind of helpful he wouldn't answer some of my wife's questions. Here's the doozie. When it came to giving us an estimate (we are purchasing in 2 months) the guy tried to "talk to his manager for A deal". Well his deal was saying that the RV was originally 42,000 plus fees but if we bought today it would be 37,000 plus fees. He was adamant about running my credit which of course I wouldn't do because I know better. But after looking online at the exact same RV it is actually 32,000 plus fees. WHAT A SCAM! BEWARE WHEN WALKING INTO THIS PLACE, they might seem FRIENDLY up front but they will try to SCAM you and pay more for what it is actually worth! Do your research before buying! I wish I could give a zero star or minus! Worst experience ever with the service department. We purchased a brand new trailer and were told to use it and see if there was anything we needed repaired. We bought it in May 2022 and after using it 3 times, called them in July to schedule an appointment. Our appointment wasn't until October, it was the soonest they could schedule it. When we dropped it off, on the work order it stated a promise date of 2 weeks. THEY HAD OUR TRAILER FOR 7 MONTHS!! We got it back in May 2023!! Communication on the phone was horrible with the service writer. She never returned my phone calls. After calling the service manager, I finally received a phone call from the service writer and I asked if there was an email address I could use for contact. We communicated back and forth through e-mail for months, with excuse after excuse of why it wasn't ready. We finally were able to pick it up after several more calls to the service manager in April & May, letting him know we had an important event and we needed it done. It was the day before our planned trip that we were able to pick it up. We went on our trip and a few things they repaired are broke once again! We will never ever take our trailer back there to be repaired. We will never shop there again!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPING WORLD LOCATION! read more

My wife and I decided to stop in on our way home a few weeks ago to look at their product (we want to do a tiny home) and get ideas for what we will eventually purchase. We told Dave the honest point of our visit and I must say he was amazing. He asked us some questions and took down our info, then showed us quite a few units. Here is the impressive part... Even though he knew we weren't looking to purchase, he never let that affect the service he gave us. Dave wasn't pushy at all, but gave us the attention we needed. He also informed us of the services that Camper World provides for its customers and their campers/RVs, which sounded pretty impressive as well. From the moment we stepped through the door to the time we left, we were given and witnessed impeccable customer service. The staff all had smiles. Everyone was accommodating to not just his or her own customer, but any of us that walked by. They're not just campers and RVs either. They have a pretty large inventory of miscellaneous things you would want or need for your camper. Some items include folding chairs, BBQs, eating supplies, cute hats, etc. When we're ready to by a camper or 5th wheel, we will definitely be returning to Camper World of Vacaville. I first messaged them asking what kind of truck is needed to pull the 5th wheel I was inquiring about. The response was [from Sherrie] "....come on in." Disregarded my question entirely just focused on getting me there. A bit off putting. To keep this short so you can read other reviews, we looked once, we went back to look a second time. Due to various variables we decided this wasn't the best time to purchase one. I emailed her and let her know this and thanked her for her time. I never got a response. Nothing about nice meeting you...keep me in mind if you change your mind, etc. And the funny thing is that I expect to be coming into some money by years end so I may have been back in a few months. Definitely not now. After reading other reviews, I would definitely say that once you buy, they will not care about addressing your problem. If I can't even get a reply email thanking me for MY time as well...these people are simply just after the sale. I would heed other people's warning. We purchased a 38' Cedar Creek 5th wheel one WK before memorial wnkd. We paid for Tyrons to be put on the wheels in case of a blow out . The 5th wheel has been in the shop 3 times and has not been installed. On our 3rd visit I demanded a refund in cash which we were told that was impossible a check would be send out and expect that check by Saturday (this is Monday). 2 weeks later we are still waiting for our check. I love my new RV Trailer I recently purchased from Vacaville Camping World. Candace was a great sales rep and did a great job addressing my questions and concerns. Unfortunately, the finance side is where I was less than impressed. I purchased a very lightly used trailer and paid a high price including a lot of itemized add-ons with the extended warranty. The finance person called me over the weekend with payment terms for my loan but didn't give me a complete breakdown. I called several times that week and left messages but never received a callback. Ultimately, they lumped everything into a loan which was much more expensive than I had originally budgeted for, and for lack of communication and transparency give them low marks. Clearly, they make more money on increasing the loan amount. My recommendation to you is to get your own loan from your bank and try to pay upfront for the extended warranty and scrutinize all additional fees and charges. Outside of that, I'm very impressed with the staff and friendly customer service. read more

Camping World Vacaville offers a free 22 point inspection. I made an appointment and brought my motor home in. They are so friendly and curious. I also needed the tv mount in the bed room adjusted, which they happily did for the labor fee. They were honest and only pointed out a minor problem with one of my tires. we were traveling from California to Tennessee when we discovered a small propane leak. We stopped in at camping world in Albuquerque New Mexico and purchased a new propane, gas line. Unfortunately, the store did not have the necessary tape needed to install the new line. The helpful sales manager, Joshua Gallegos came to our rescue. He was able to get us some tape from the service department and saved the day. This is the kind of service that sets exceptional employees apart from all the rest. We gave them several days notice, we gave them floorplans we were interested in, we showed up for our 10:15 am appointment after an hour drive each way. The sales person Linda had not seen any of our floorplans or any of the information we provided. We had to start the process from scratch and she spent about 10 minutes with us before ditching us when she found out we did not wanna spend $90,000 on the camper only 30 to 40,000. They did have one good sales person named Jason who tried to help us after I complained about being ditched. Unfortunately we only had about 10 minutes left before we had to leave for another appointment. We basically wasted a 2 Hour drive and an hour on their lot at camping world of Vacaville. When we called camping world their voicemail says if you're not happy we're not heavy please call this number. I called that number and left a complaint but was not able to speak with the owner Marcus. Camping World of Vacaville left a very bad taste in my mouth and I don't think I'll ever go back there again. I was expecting to own a camper today and now I have to go find another dealership. They knew we had five people coming, they should've had two separate sales people there for us, one to sell us a fifth wheel and one to sell us a travel trailer. read more

We love our trailer, but so many things are not right l. There's no charge to the back for rear camera, the strip across the fridge was breaking off by first trip, and the door is crazy difficult to open and close. But my real problem came more from sales. The gentleman was nice enough but once the transaction was going I really realized the falseness and how much he was trying to push the sale. Then with finance, all of the terms changed after the fact because they didn't actually have our approval when we signed. So we wound up paying over 100$ more a month than planned and they sent our application to dozens of creditors which dropped our score nearly 50 points. These people lied to my girlfriend over the phone, then after driving over an hour to pick up an expensive item, I find that it is damaged and unusable! Now they are saying they don't have any more even though I know they do, and I have to wait a week because all of their stores happen to be out at the same time, I just saw them! They leave items on their shelves without any inspection it seems. When I got to checkout I had to wait a while for someone to walk over. Overall horrible customer service. They installed an awning in June and would not repair when the arm broke- I finally had to go to the Vacaville store and the service girl Katrina was nice-and decided it was an installation/parts issue- Kristy said she would order the new arms and it would take 8 weeks- why have a parts department if you don't have parts for the rpoducts you support. Found a trailer we wanted and submitted the credit application. Our credit is good and we're willing to put down $1000.00 even in these hard times. We wanted to purchase the trailer to live in and downsize in our older age. We were told that we needed to put down $10,000.00 because there are to many people buying RV's at this time. Very nice of them to make things more difficult, in these already hard times. Way to take advantage of hard-working seniors that don't have a bundle of cash laying around. I just started looking for an RV. Every sales person was busy, and some were rude. This is a huge place, and if you have never been there before it can be overwhelming. Many RV's and trailers had broken items inside and outside because it seems most employees don't give a hoot about their product or the people wondering around. Having so many questions, none getting answered, feeling disrespected, and seeing so many broken items, I was not happy. Just about the time I was going to stomp out, ROD showed up! We were staying at a campground not too far from here and decided that we needed a few items that we couldn't live without as usual when there is a Camping World in the vicinity, so we wandered in and took a look around. This one has a much larger retail area than the one in our town and is totally laid out differently, but the friends we were with are from the area and knew the store like the back of their hands so navigation was no problem. As usual the deeply discounted areas are fun to pick through and sometimes you can find something worth picking up, but nothing caught my eye. We found everything we needed and then some. We also took a stroll out back and wandered around the lot to see if they had in stock the certain 5th wheel we are sort of interested in but no luck there, thank god or I think maybe we would of took it home since there was a mishap with ours. My only reason for not giving this store a five star rating is the usual reason for not rating them this is that they are seriously over priced on many items and that I hate.
