The chicken is so juicy and seasoned well. The burgers were a little under done for my liking but all in all, we thought it was so good! Freshly made to order! Every time I come home, one of my must visit restaurants is Canada Steak Burger. This is a small family owned restaurant with only two locations in San Diego. They have a lot of menu options, from gyros, kebabs, to burgers, and cheesesteaks. In the past I've gotten a kebab plate, but my ultimate favorite is always the cheesesteak. Its so good, and comes with onions, peppers, and cheese sauce. The fries on the side have a Cajun kind of seasoning on them. The prices are right and it's a lot of food! Ordered a hamburger with only lettuce, tomato and bacon. No sauce. Instead I was given a cold hamburger with cheese, onions, pickles, and bacon, with ketchup and mayo! One of the best Gyro's in SD in my opinion, been coming here for years & it's always a pleasant treat for us when we come. I was at 3.5 stars but leaned toward 4 because of their customer service, I've never had a problem. The food is great! My porter house fries were the bomb. I was just missing my side of lettuce and cucumbers, but it was still smashing! My wife ordered rice for her plate, but got fries instead. This place offers a wide selection of burgers, gyros, salads, stuff like that. The 8oz Cheeseburger combo consisted of a chargrilled patty, topped with cheese and bacon. Garnished with shredded lettuce, sliced onions and pickles. All nestled between a over sized sesame bun. For $9.99 it came with a drink and fries. Burger was very dry and unseasoned. Not the best burger like I'd hoped. The Philly meal deal was one of the most expensive meals ever for diner like establishments. $9.99 for the combo. Another $3.50 for extra meat, another $3.00 to add chilli onto the fries. Grand total about $16.49 plus tax. Yikes. Good news is there was a ton of meat on it with the double add on. The mister thought it was just okay. Baklava was $1.50 a piece. Again on the dry side. Service was just okay. Tables were kind of sticky. Just okay in my book. Just okay. read more

I called in an order today of the patty melt combo add mayonnaise, and a cheeseburger combo. I usually love your place and I've never had any issues but this time the food was disgusting. When I got home and opened up my patty melt the bread was so soggy it literally was falling apart in my hands With the cheeseburger combo, it was also soggy. Luckily the bun was a little more sturdier so it wasn't as bad as the Patty melt . 09/07/22 - Ordered two items from them through Postmates, the grilled chicken salad and the Rib plate. The grilled chicken had some teriyaki sauce on it so it was good and the salad came with a lot of meat. I had the rib plate the next day and the rice had a lot of flavor and it came with salad and pita bread. The rib itself was pretty tough. I had to really fight with the meat to get it off the bone and couldn't even get through the meaty part of the ribs to eat it. It was unfortunate. Definitely won't get that again. The sauce also tasted delicious (it comes in a separate container so it's optional to put on). The food was a solid 10/10.
