Man am I sad on this one. Started coming here a few months ago. First trip was great few after that it was good but this last trip never again. We ordered bread knots with marinara for appetizer. After the food was out they brought the with Alfredo. The pizza was not like the first time I had it something changed. It was soaked with grease soggy, and gross. My son ate one slice and refused to eat anymore. Here's the kicker. We ordered gnocchi and it came out straight out of the fridge cold the waitress said im sorry we remake it. She took it back and brought it back 30 seconds later with a "new batch". It was the same one but with 5x sauce on it to try and warm it. How do I know it was the same one. I squished one of the pasta's flat and sure enough the same one was in the new bowl. We ate zero gnocchi One slice of a large pizza Half of my ziti 0 bread Knots And the waitress ask how the food was and if we wanted a box. She knew she dropped the ball kept trying to walk past us and then acted like nothing was wrong. $100 for half a ziti plate. Going to stick to my local spot. read more

I was told that Cannataro's took requests for pizzas so I wanted to see how close they could approximate a New Haven-style White Clam Pie. The answer? Pretty damn close. The clams were of a good size and they practically put heaps of it on the pie, The olive oil served as a perfect light sauce. I could taste the romano and red pepper. I think the only big detour was the crust. The typical apizza is much thinner, but still a bit chewy. This was chewy, but almost overly so for a white clam pizza. But damn it was 80-85% there. It would be unfair to request them to revolutionize their crust just for one specialty request, but if they did, they'd be right there as some of the best pies of the style. Big props to the place for even indulging my off-book ask. I have nothing but respect that is even willing to go that extra mile for a customer. It's definitely raised their status in my book for doing that for me. The butter cake was a good capper too. It was the perfect size--light and sweet enough without being overbearing. Been coming here for a decade. Quality has definitely dropped. Everything is much more oily than it used to be. Same with butter. On the bread. Soggy end product. More isn't always better. Also, and this is a huge pet peeve of mine, someone came in after me, we ordered first. And they got their meals first. This infuriates me. What is so hard about first in first meal out. My time is too precious for that bs. Note: we were a party of three while they were a party of two but we all (us and them) got pasta dishes. I go back every 4-6 months to see if things have changed but I'm not sure it's worth it anymore. read more

Dined here on a Friday during lunch. Entry way is nice and clean. As soon as you walk in you can tell that a lot of care was taken to create an authentic ambiance. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter was very nice and professional. I would rate ambiance and service a 5 star. I got the daily lunch special item of Pasta Cannataros which comes with bread and soup/salad. Based on reviews on Yelp, I went with the wedding soup. We were asked for our drink orders and the drinks came out quickly. We received our soups and salads relatively quickly. As well. I found the wedding soup to be unremarkable and far too salty for my taste. The soup temperature was fine so no issues there. The pasta was average but also too salty for my taste. I tried to judge these without consideration for the high salt taste. I do recognize that saltiness is a matter of opinion so I asked my friend who ordered the baked ziti how theirs tastes and they mentioned it was average tasting but also too salty. It is possible that it was an off day but if this is typical, I would say that the food is too salty. I'm only sharing this purely to help the restaurant. I hope I'm in the minority as I would love to return to this restaurant but I won't be able to while we are not a match on salt usage. read more

Our favorite little Italian spot! Low key family style environment with a homely feel! The food consistent per usual and very tasty! This is my wife and mother in laws favorite spot when in Chino! Service is there. You never have to wait but it isn't lightning either! The first time we went, the service, the food and the ambience were amazing!! We were a party of nine, it was a Friday night and they were very busy, but we still received our food in a timely manner, the food was delicious and everything was great! We went back to celebrate a birthday made reservations few days prior and the second time the service was horrible, and the food was bland. So today I stopped by to grab some takeout. I ordered a meatball sandwich, pasta fagioli and tiramisu. It's been a while since I've been there, but this time the food was not very good. I hate leaving negative reviews, but it's important they know what customers think. Getting back, the sandwich was very small. It had 4 little meatballs on the whole thing and very little sauce. The meatballs were slightly larger than those little cocktail meatballs. It looked like they topped it with a slice of provolone. The bread was all squished, the meatballs were dense and not at all tender. The soup was good, but I did have to thin it out a bit. That and a tiny piece of tiramisu was almost $22. Inside the restaurant, there's a nice Italian theme going on. The service is subpar but the food is good. The young waitress we had forgot our oil/vinegar and when we asked for something, she never stopped acknowledged us and just walked by quickly. The older waitresses were nice and stopped by and asked if we needed anything. 1. Linguine Carbonara - This is a must have dish. The mushrooms and bacon are the primary flavor. Nice mix of salty, creamy, and rich. DO NOT MICROWAVE the next day though. You'll be surprised how much oil separates from the sauce. 2. Lasagna - Average tasting lasagna. Not bad, not that great either. 3. Fettuccini - The fettuccini here is amazing. Well salted and creamy. 4. Spicy Calamari - Average calamari, what makes it spicy are the fried jalapeno peppers. 5. We have driven past this restaurant probably hundreds of times over the years and I finally said to my husband that we should try it. We did on Wednesday late afternoon before Thanksgiving. We arrived around 3:30ish and Kerri seated and served us. My husband ordered the Sampler Platter which included Chicken Parmesan, Fettuccine Alfredo and Lasagna. I had the Cannelloni Supremo. Both dishes were excellent! Full of flavor and definitely made with a lot of love. Our server Kerri was Amazing! She was patient with us as it was our first time and didn't hesitate answering all of our questions. She was super friendly, bubbly, quick with service and we had a lot of fun with her! She even brought us a piece of the Homemade Tiramisu stating we had to try it and it was to die for. My husband, who doesn't really care for Tiramisu, ate it and loved it! Today, Saturday, came along and my husband decided we needed to go back and try their pizza because they make their own dough and sauce. So, we went around 4:00pm and it was a little busy, but we were seated right away. Kerri wasn't working so Eli served us. He was super friendly, very polite, personable and quick with service as well. We ordered a Medium Cannataro's Special Pizza and a large house salad to share. The salad was fresh and delicious and their balsamic vinaigrette is bomb! The pizza came out piping hot and fresh from the oven and let me tell you they do not skimp on the toppings! Our pizza was LOADED with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, red onions, mushrooms, green bell peppers, olives, garlic and of course cheese. I could only eat 2 pieces and was full but I didn't feel stuffed and heavy. Usually when eating pizza I feel heavy like there is a brick in my stomach, but not with this pizza! It wasn't greasy at all and the crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom but soft when biting into it. The pizza is perfection!! By the time we were leaving the place was packed and there was a long line of people waiting. The inside of the restaurant is quaint, cozy, clean and nicely lit. If you're like us and have passed by this restaurant numerous times definitely take the time to stop in, I promise you will not be disappointed. This is our new go to spot for Italian!!! read more

We ordered the Little Italy pizza which was super cheesy and loaded with tomatoes but not much flavor beyond that. The Linguini Pescatore was the biggest letdown. It was bland with zero seasoning. I actually had to go home and add salt, pepper, and tomato sauce just to make it edible. They did give complimentary garlic bread and wedding soup, which was a nice gesture, but the soup was way too salty. I don't mind paying more especially being in Chino. But if the food is going to be on the pricier side, it should at least taste good. Overall everything looked better than it tasted. My husband and I came here for lunch today, and while the presentations and food were okay, we have other Italian restaurants that we like more. The garlic knot appetizer was good, then I had the pasta bolognese and he had the cannelloni supreme. Both entrees were fine, but not as flavorful as we hoped. The homemade tiramisu was very good though. Our server was also a very nice, young guy, and he did a great job. We were a little disappointed when we first came in too, because the hostess was on her cell phone, and after awhile, grabbed two menus and started walking towards a booth. We assumed she meant for us, so we followed her, but she never said anything to us before or after we sat. It would have been nice if she would have made any kind of gesture to us (like look at us and point "just one minute" or something, but we weren't acknowledged at all). There were a few apparent locals having lunch, so people seemed to like it, but we likely would not return. Free parking in a large lot outside. read more

This place holds a special place in my heart as it was my first date spot with my now wife. Everytime we go we are able to try something new that we enjoy, but we also stick to some things that are consistently good. Their hot sausage add one to any pasta dish is to die for. We also enjoy their stuffed mushrooms as well as the wedding soup option that comes with the meal. If you order out, ordering directly from the restaurant you get the soup or salad that you would not get ordering from a third party delivery place. The staff is always kind despite always being really busy. I am so glad they are opened on Sundays now as we use to crave coming here on Sundays only to find out it was closed. Such a great local family owned Italian spot! Who doesn't love carb galore? Service is amazing, very relaxing and perfect for a romantic date night. They unfortunately need to train their staff to pack to-go orders better. We've order to-go twice and both times something happened. Our first take out order we had a large order and had 4 soups. They stacked all the soups on top of one another, by the time we got home one of the lids cracked and the entire bag was filled with soup. Luckily the bag seams weren't coming apart otherwise we would have a puddle of soup in the car. Stuffed Mushrooms- amazing, broiled to perfection giving the cheese a crisp layer. The main issue I have is that they add to the Bill a tip (15% ), regardless of the service ,you have to pay, and they request an additional tip.
