I signed up on the spot, messed up the registration, and the super nice barista let me step aside to finish it and come back instead of re lining. I didn't catch her name, she has short shoulder length hair and glasses. The matcha ube blueberry with oat milk was bomb, sweet, strong matcha but the blueberry all settled at the bottom, it added a nice tang. This review is for Capital One Bank at 86th & 2nd, and more specifically, it's for Tyler--because this one is about giving credit where it's truly due. Normally, I hate going to this branch. And that says a lot because I've been a Capital One customer for a very long time--before I even banked with them, I had their credit card. I've had great experiences at Capital One Cafés in Atlanta, so relocating back to New York and having this branch just a few blocks from me should have been convenient. Unfortunately, it hasn't always been. I've had some really bad experiences here, mostly due to poor attitudes and lack of real customer service. But Tyler? Tyler completely changed that. I walked in right before the Christmas holiday with a small--but very frustrating--issue. Between holiday shopping, Amazon purchases, and security measures, my card started giving me problems. I spent two days on the phone with customer service and got absolutely nowhere. I was finally told I needed to go into a branch to get verified, so in I went, already exhausted and irritated. Tyler was amazing from the moment we spoke. He brought me over to a desk, made sure I had everything I needed, and handled the verification process quickly and smoothly. He called where he needed to call, asked the right questions, answered all of my questions, and got everything resolved without making it feel complicated or stressful. But beyond just fixing the issue, what stood out was him. He was pleasant, personable, and genuinely kind. His energy was great, his aura was calming, and he really made my day. For the first time ever, I left that branch feeling good--my issue was resolved, I wasn't annoyed, and I didn't walk out more upset than when I came in. That matters. So this is really just a thank-you and appreciation post for Tyler. If I ever have to go back to this branch, he's honestly the only person I'd want to deal with. Not everyone there has great customer service or people skills, but Tyler does--and it shows. If you bank with Capital One and need to go into this location, ask for Tyler. Even if you don't see him right away, ask if he's there. He's worth it. read more

However, I noticed they had small side rooms you can reserve, which is a great option if you're looking for a quieter spot or planning to get some work done. Stopped in yesterday as they were doing an event where they were giving out one free cup of coffee for friends giving. The space was very spacious and different seating areas to hold meetings or have a cup of coffee alone. Space is clean and well organized. It was my first time in here. Not sure if it is because I went at a busy time in the morning but the line was pretty slow. The barista was nice and other staff here too. But It was just pretty slow. I really liked the ambiance here. I was curious about this place and what it is like. The staff are super kind and friendly. I only popped in to escape the summer heat and get a cup of water. They have a little water station that's free and self serve opposite the ordering station. It's really nice that I didn't have to purchase anything to use the amenities, though, the next time I'm not rushing to an event, I'd love to stay for longer and try out some of their seats, have a cup of coffee (smelled so good!) and check out the restroom. The air conditioning wasn't over the top and it was a comfortable temperature inside. There were a lot of people utilizing the space for their laptops and whatnot. Patronized this cafe today 03/02 and had a bad experience with an employee. Ordered an Americano, and went up to a barista to ask for some hot water to be added. Spoke to a barista whose name is I believe Katherine who said she was busy and to wait a moment. I waited while Katherine served other customers until there were none, had a conversation with another colleague, cleaned their workstation, and organized some papers. I tried to flag her down; she made eye contact with me once and shook her head and waived me off wordlessly. Another barista ended up seeing that I was needing help and assisted me. Spoke to an employee who told me to submit a complaint online; however there is no feasible way to do so. I wish they had a reservation system up for the "nooks" that are like small private spaces, which are supposed to be on a booking system, but they haven't had that in place for months now. Wish there were fewer folks taking work meetings loudly in the coworking space.
