Contacted this dealer regarding purchasing a new vehicle as I have purchased many vehicles for my business over the years. Received a signed quote from Ray, a salesperson with an out the door price including tax and license on the vehicle we were interested in. The next day, less than 24 hours later, I again attempted to contact Ray to get the exact same vehicle with the same MRSP and incentives in a different color. He failed to respond to many attempts of my texts and calls. I then was able to get ahold of another salesman to get the other offer in writing on the other vehicle who informed me they would not honor the signed price that Ray had provided to me less than 24 hours ago. He also did not offer to work with me at all on negotiating the price of the vehicle. This dealer advertised this vehicle for a much lower price online. Be aware that they will then have "dealer add on's" (window tint, nitrogen tires etc.) to make extra money on the sale of vehicles. Being the customer, you will not find out about these unless you ask or look for an addendum sticker on the window of the car. I leased my Tahoe through Capitol Chevrolet and decided to purchase it once the lease expired. What should have been a pretty straightforward transaction given I'd already been driving this car ended up being a 4+ hour wait due to a very long inspection/service delay. I almost used a third party to do the lease buy out and really should have to avoid the hassle that comes with the in person dealership buying experience. I ended up having to leave my car and Ubering home in order to pick up my daughters from school. Staff showed zero urgency, zero empathy and was completely unapologetic. I bought a new c8 Corvette out of state, and had transmission issues. This is my home dealer and so I brought it there to be fixed. The dealer continually change deadlines on the repair date. A week later It appeared as if someone ate in the car,and punched two holes in the floor Matt. The very next day the car breaks. As I write this the car has now been at the dealership for almost three weeks. The mechanic took a whole week to even look at the car. I would avoid this place like the plague. As a business owner myself I understand stuff happens and would normally never leave a bad review. This is over the line I feel disrespected and treated like crap. read more

Bought $50,000 truck from Capitol. Buying experience was not good. Salesman would not call me back. Salesman lost my second key, and I had to go to the dealership 2 different times to get it from them, and only got it then after escalating to a manager. Salesman claims he was calling me at a phone number that I don't recognize and did not give to him. 2,000 miles on truck, radio won't turn off, battery draining due to faulty over the air update module. Call to make appointment, no loaners available (see other reviews). Truck was in the shop for more than 2 weeks with not 1 call from them. I had to call for any updates on the repairs, service advisor would not me back. Called the service department on Thursday - your truck will be ready this afternoon. Nope. Called the service department on Friday - your truck will be ready this afternoon. Nope. Called all day Saturday, nobody would answer any phone at service scheduling or main service number. Service advisor later told me "it's always a mess here on Saturdays". Asked to speak to a service manager numerous times, and the front desk folks would just transfer me to my service advisor again. When I dropped off my car, I was told 3-5 days for a diagnostic. 4 days later, I'm told 5-7 days. I'm on day 6 and checked my Onstar, and the car has not been moved since day 1. My service advisor, Daniel, won't answer or return my calls. All you get is the runaround. They don't offer loaner cars, and I can't even get one with my insurance until a diagnostic is done. Don't waste your time with this dealership! I inquired about a new truck they had available after receiving daily calls and emails from them regarding the truck. Once I made contact with them, it was extremely difficult to get any information or updates pertaining to the deal. I finally got frustrated with my sales guy and asked to speak to someone else. That person told me he didn't know when I would hear back and just to wait. This went on for over a week. I give this place one star for customer service. My air conditioner just stopped working and I later found out I had to use extended warranty and had to use this service center. I had negative experience at this service center in the past and stopped going but I had to use this place. I tried to call the service center and got transferred to an answering machine more than once (strike one). I left a few messages and no one called me back as of today. I scheduled an appointment thru phone and dropped my truck off at the Capitol Chevy service center on a Friday, I was informed that it will take approximately 2 to 3 days to diagnose my ac. I asked if I needed a rental. I was advised I don't need one. They confirmed the issue on Monday and informed me that the part is on back order and can temporarily fix the issue until the parts arrive. I asked a few time that week if I needed a rental because I had no car and need a vehicle to get to work. I was advised against getting one and informed me that my vehicle will be ready by Friday. On Friday I followed up on the status of my truck, they informed me that mechanics had to do other works and hoping to have the work done by Monday(strike 2). On Monday, I was informed that the parts arrived and that I can pick up my vehicle. Middle of the day, I followed up on status of repairs so I can make plans on pick up my vehicle. They informed me that they found a leak and will cost me 214 dollars to replace the hose. That was an odd timing to find a leak while removing defect parts. I did not get the part fixed and got suspicious of this service center work practice. I went to pick up my vehicle on Monday. I asked the representative to show me the leak. He did not find a photo of the leak and we went to look under the hood and I did not find any signs of leaks. It lead me to become more suspicious of their ethics and how they value their customers. The next morning I asked the representative for a photo of a leak. He sent me a photo from the mechanic, and I couldn't find the leak. I saw, in my opinion, that it was a nick on the hose from removing the part. I asked the rep if that was the leak. He didn't get back to me for more than a day(strike 3). If you had the chance to go somewhere else for your vehicle service, I strongly advise you to consider that and not Capitol Chevy. read more

Please don't waste any of your hardworking money at this dealership. I purchased a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado for $41,000 cash with Ramiro Alvarez on August 11th. On Monday August 25th I brought in the vehicle to the service department due to the truck shaking and yanking. By August 30th I had no update from the service department. I took the initiative and made my way down to the dealership. Jorge Rocha the Service Director came over and told me the transmission had gone out. That he was unsure whether it was going to be a rebuilt transmission or a new one. He explained that he was waiting for authorization to start working on the truck from the general manager. I made my way down to Ramiro's office only for this individual to hide in the back and told his colleague he was to "busy" to speak to me. Fast forward September 2nd (today) I asked to speak to the general manager. I was told his name was Mr. Byron, I am not sure how true that is because as seen these people are full of lies! But me and Mr. Bryon came to a solution which was to do a even swap out. When I found the vehicle I wanted which was marked at $31,000 online I was told I'd have to pay a $15,000 difference by their salesman to be able to take the truck home. As you can tell Mr. Byron isn't a man of his word we didn't agree on that. The negligence and treatment I received was a huge slap to my face. The lack of accountability from this individual and respect I received through out this whole experience baffled me. I truthfully feel like I was taken advantage of as a minority. Through out this process my livelihood has been affected since I rely on my vehicle to work. My mental/emotional health has been affected due to stress and anxiety but Capitol Chevrolet doesn't care they only see you as a business transaction. I'm still waiting for a solution. If I could give zero stars, I would. Capitol Chevrolet sold me a 2020 Colorado with rust issues (see pic) that they missed during their Certified Pre Owned(CPO) inspection. To make matters worse, they refused to make it right. In addition, when I went to get my free oil change at another GM dealer, they had no record of my Colorado being a CPO, so I had to pay for it. I had a repair to replace my EGR valve with Capitol Chevy Service Center last year. My advisor Ivon applied the bumper to bumper warranty code to the repair which came out at $1,456.26 out of pocket. 14 months later, we had the same issue and same error message. This time we brought it to Henna Chevy Service Center. They replaced another part under the GM emission warranty for the Volt - completely free. Their advisor and serviceman noticed the past repair we had at Capital Chevy and informed us that the repair should have been covered under emission warranty. After all, EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) is a part of a vehicle's emissions control system. They told us that they could see what warranty code the repair falls under after putting the part number for the EGR valve into the GM website that the service center has access to. Capitol Chevy service center should have been able to see the same code. After learning about this, we felt cheated and tried to call/left VM for Ivon. No response, then I came in Capitol Chevy Service Center to speak to the manager Anthony Tabira, who told me that he would check with his warranty administrator on this. They came back with some dubious claim that ECG replacement is not part of the emission warranty. Since then I tried to reach out to the manager Anthony again to ask about this claim from the warranty administrator via email and calls but there has been no response. Because if Henna Chevy can see the code after putting the part number for the repair into GM website, I don't see why Capitol Chevy would have not been able to. At the end of the day, customers like us have to do our own research or else dealerships like this take advantage of naive customers. Thank goodness for the honesty of Henna Chevrolet pointing out the mistake. We will continue to reach out to them and update this review when the issue is resolved, but this is NOT OK. read more

Tons of people there, literally a DJ in the middle of Covid, everyone taking their mask off. Looked at a two year old vehicle (2019 Chevy Blazer Premier) with 1600 miles on it. Google says a new car is about 200 miles or less. According to KBB this vehicle is worth about $38-$42k with this mileage. They offered me their lowest of about $46k minus $3500 trade in (which is about $4k lower than KBB says mine is worth as a trade in).... all around shit show. Told them multiple times I needed to leave to take care of my parents 12yo dog and they kept having excuses. Only one person moved my car to appraise it and I came out to a nice little divot in the front bumper. Nope. No. Had great experience here in the past with my first car purchase and they failed big. I will say though, Nathaniel was dope af. We had a blast driving around and if I was going overpay for a car here I would ask for him. Super nice dude 10/10 stars. Joe and I also had a blast chatting... these people were the only redeeming part of the process.... but you have 2021 vehicles rolling on the lot. $7k off MSRP isn't desperate to sell, it's desperate to screw over a woman you think doesn't know her sh!t. read more

They have twisted and pretty much lied about the extended warranties and about parts that they were willing to give us as part of our deal. As I was finishing up my paperwork, I ask the finance person Chris why the electrical portion was not on the paperwork and he said it would be in the system. When I mentioned it again because the screen had an error he said oh the warranty would cover it. During negotiations we had a specific conversation about the importance of have the electrical warranty because we are buying a big computer. All this to say that this deal ships is not trust worthy. We bought a truck 8/29/25 with only 27K miles on it, and within three weeks we noticed a tire needed to be replaced and the alignment done. We took it back to the dealer on 9/27/25 and talked to Johnson Reyes who told me to call him the following Monday (9/29/25). It took me a week to finally get a hold of Johnson after repeated text. He finally sent me to L. Miron, the Pre-Owned Sales Director, on that Friday (10/03/25). Although I called and text 3 weeks after our purchase, Miron stated that it had been a month and over 1000 miles by the time I talked to him, and accused me of causing the alignment to go off and will not be replacing the tire. That day, after speaking to Miron, I also called and left messages with the General Manager, Abraham Garcia, and as of today (10/22/25) I am still waiting on a call back. So now I have to replace the tire and get the alignment done and I haven't even made the first payment! We should've checked the reviews before purchasing from this dealership. They have the worst customer service, and I will not be buying from them again nor will I recommend them to anyone else. Two hours later, I left without the key fobs being programmed, and was still charged full price, as if they had completed the service. Horrible. I will never go back here again. I feel robbed. And I still need my key fob programmed. They offered for me to bring it back and they would charge me ADDITIONAL fees to order their fob and try to see if it might work. No, thank you. I told them they had the wrong person and they continued contacting me for weeks. yesterday I as surprised to receive several text messages and text from them asking me once again to come look at a truck. i once again asked them to stop and got several more text. I called the salesman dimb*** and blocked him. he apparently then sent my contact information to every dealership in Austin and Houston as the next morning I have over 40 messages and text from various dealerships. this dealership harasses the people they do business with. stay away from them.
