I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Love the locality of the place, friendly staff, and of course-- amazing pizza. I get the cheese and it's in the top three best pizzas i've ever had (and i've had pizza in Italy). The red sauce is delicious. My mother and I discovered Capozzi's by accident. We ordered the Caprese salad it was delicious. Fresh mozzarella, tomato's and basil drizzeled with olive oil, a sweet balsamic glaze and fresh bread to dip. The Shrimp Pomadoro with roasted garlic was fantastic. The portions are plentiful and Crystal our server was really friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Capozzi's to anyone who is looking for delicious pizza and so much more! read more

Capozzis has tons of potential and a good story. This family is from the Bronx (where I consider the real Italian heritage, not the goombas in Brooklyn). Their grandparents had pork shops @ Arthur Ave, 180th, and Gun Hill Rd...all the areas my family lived (when these places were predominantly Italian neighborhoods, no more). I happened upon Capozzis while searching for LaBellas. So I popped in for a quick slice so this isn't a proper review. On the tables, the pies looked good. Good combo of cheese/sauce, looked like a proper pie. My slice obviously had been sitting around for a while. However, the sauce was decent although on the sweet side, the cheese was a little overdone because of reheating, and the crust (while nicely charred) was overcooked as well...no chew, a little dry. I'll need to come back and properly order a pie to get the full scoop. So for now, I'll give it my average cheese in Atlanta rating...from the NY Pizza Guy. read more

In case you've never been to the NY/NJ area, this is what a north east "pizza joint" looks, smells, and tastes like. It's a pretty rare find in Georgia, but lucky for me, it's just a few miles from my house. Everyone at our table was impressed, and I can't wait to check out the rest of the menu. PS. Terrible ambiance and service. 3 years ago I went in to have a nice bowl of angelhair and red sauce. The $6.95 for bread was a deal killer. What italian restaurant makes you pay for bread? Im from NYC and bread is on the table and even if extra, which Ive never seen, its not at $6.95. Roll forward and I give them another shot. The wife is Ill and wants her favorite, angle hair and meat sauce. I walk in to pick up the order and they say, "Hey we are out of angle hair and we gave you linguini". I didnt want linguini. I wasnt given a choice, they dodnt mention it on the phone. Goodbye $10 bucks for something my wife didnt like. I wont wait for the third strike. These people have little idea of restaurant manners - its all about the buck. I have several other italian restaurants I go to. Never again to Capozzis...wasted time and money. read more

This place is close by so it was only a matter of time before we tried it out. We've been here a few times and have tried both their pizza and some of the other items on their menu. I'll start by saying that the pizza was really, really good. I thought that the flavor was excellent, from the toppings to the sauce to the crust. We ordered the House Special pizza, which came loaded with a ton of stuff. Aside from the taste being great, I did have one complaint about the pizza. Honestly, it came a bit too 'loaded' with toppings. I do like to eat my pizza by hand, and it's quite impossible with the amount of stuff they put on it. Nothing changed the fact that I thought the pizza was great, but I wish they would divide the amount of toppings in half. Their other food has also been quite good on the whole. There have been a few dishes (clams in white sauce and a meatball sub) that I thought were just all right, but we've been very impressed with their food more often than not. Their fettuccine carbonara was particularly incredible, and some of the better that I can remember having out to eat. All in all, I do like this place quite a bit. It's close by, and does serve a darn good pie. My only suggestion is to stick to a slice that is a bit more manageable, with fewer toppings. read more

First off, I like the pizza. Second, until tonight pizza is all I've ever had at Cappozzi's. Tonight I thought I try something other than pizza and the Chicken and Ranch Hero struck my eye. Love chicken. Check! Love ranch. Check! Love mozzarella. Check! How could I go wrong? The hero was disgusting. The little bit of chicken on the sub was pounded down and rubbery as heck(almost like veil). I think they put a half bottle of ranch on it (waaaaay too much). And it was extremely greasy! I ate half of it and tossed the other half...and I NEVER waste food. I'll still stop in for a slice here or there but no more hero's for me. read more

We've been to Capozzi's several dozen times over the last couple of years. The food is always extremely tasty but the service is often hit-or-miss. It's probably the best place in the area to go grab a cheap slice or two at any given time during the day. The pizza is superb to boot, so that helps matters. We have tried several of the pasta dishes and a few sandwiches as well, and have been pleased every single time. Their alfredo sauce is the bee's knees. On the service front, the waitstaff is generally high school age girls who vary in their efficacy pretty wildly. I can say the last time we visited, our waitress was a marked improvement and hope that means the service is on an upswing. Overall a great place to grab a bite for lunch or dinner! read more

Been eating here since we moved back into the area over six years ago. The food is always good, but sometimes limited (garlic knots, Sicilian). My favorite menu item other than pizza is the hot chicken bacon ranch hero. I add mushrooms to it and it is amazing! Eat there, carry out or delivery, it's nice to have options! Good location too, if you shop at Kroger. I've placed an order for carry out and got my grocery shopping done. read more

This is our first time ordering pizza here. We ordered two pizzas and one of them was a cheese pizza. I asked the person who was taking my order over the phone to please put some red chili flakes on the side. My husband brings home the pizzas and the cheese pizza has chili flakes all over it. I called back and spoke with the girl. She offered to credit us back or give us another cheese pizza . I asked her to please give me slices and credit us back, Which I truly appreciated. The problem I have with is, I go to pick it up and this guy who is at the counter, instead of apologizing for their mistake tells me "next time you order pizza, ask for the chili flakes when you come to pick up. The girl put "add flakes" on the order to remind herself to put it on the side but when the ticket went to the back to be made they thought add flakes on the whole pizza, which is what happened." There was no apology or kindness in this conversation. This will be my first and last time ordering pizza from here. read more

We discovered Capozzi's today by accident. The restaurant we intended to go to was closed for lunch so when a Google search showed Capozzi's we had to go. It's a familial name so we had to check it out. Capozzi's is a quaint pizzaria. To better described it, I would say it's a diamond in the rough. We ordered a caprese salad that was served with warm bread resting in the salads balsamic glaze. Not only was the plating beautiful, the salad was absolutely delicious. We had Shrimp Pomodoro for our entree with a glass of wine which was plentiful and delicious. For dessert we enjoyed a cannoli so fresh and delicious, it made the perfect ending doing wonderful lunch. We had an unexpectedly delicious lunch with great service. I stopped by the resturant last night . It was my first time there so i did not know you can order to go or sit in and a server would take your order so i ordered my order with the cashier and I must say she was friendly and helpfull . She is probally the only reason i would come back. I sat down the actual waitress did not even acknowledged me. I moved to a new table because the one i was at did not have an outlet. So when i moved to a both it was dirty i asked the waitress to please clean it up and she had an attitude like i am busy, The waitress never acknowledged me at all. If it was only for the service i recived from The actually waitress i would never ever come back there again .The food was good though. read more

We ordered the eggplant parmesan, veal parmesan and chicken lazio. It all was fantastic and very hardy portions. We were all so full we could not try the desserts. We will be back again. My 4 year old also approved the cheese pizza. read more

This is a restaurant that we frequent often and we want to show them our support while restaurants are closed for in service business. Stopped by this place last night for dinner because of all of the great yelp reviews that we had seen. We were looking for a real NY style pizza place close to the house and let me tell you, this place does not disappoint! The pizza is fairly priced and tastes so good but what really blew me away were the appetizers. My fiance got the garlic knots and I had a caesar salad. First, the knots... OMG!! they came out steaming fresh and crisp on the outside but still soft on the inside and had the perfect blend of garlic and herbs. I didn't end up eating all of my pizza because I couldn't stop eating luke's garlic knots! By far, the best I have ever had. And, that's saying something because I used to work at an upscale Italian restaurant and have loved Italian food since I was very young. The caesar salad was absolutely delicious as well. The dressing was perfect, not too much but just enough to get some on every piece of lettuce. It came with fresh parmagiana cheese that was cut into big, long, rectangular slices and homemade croutons that melt in your mouth! I would go back just for the salad and knots!! We are so glad that we tried something new, now if we could only convince them to deliver to our house! lol read more

I set myself up for disappointment, as slices can rarely satisfy in the way that a whole freshly baked pizza will. It's still pizza so when it's bad it still good. However, this pizza joint is just not for me, and I probably won't be back. I found the sauce a bit too sweet for my tastes. Also, the thick crust pizza does not work well as a slice, as it toasted up during the re-baking process, and there's not quite enough up top to balance out the doughiness - it felt more like a big bruschetta than pizza. read more

Capozzi's has been around for a while. I used to like their pizza years ago, but now it's subpar. The crust is so tough and bland tasting. It's like chewing on cardboard. The cheese and sauce is ok. I agree the sauce is a bit sweet. I've had good NY pizza and this isn't it. read more

Been coming here for many, many, many years. Not so much recently since I've moved away from the area but this place is still a favorite. The staff is courteous and welcoming. The pizza is always tasty and the slices are huge. They also recently renovated so it looks pretty nice inside.
