4.5 star experience. My party of 5 arrived on a Saturday evening and got seated within a few minutes. Always love the option to join the online waitlist ahead of time when reservations aren't available. Favorite dishes of the night were: -Gnocchi Fritto appetizer: Never had fried gnocchi before, had a great puffy texture. Truffle taste in the truffle cream sauce wasn't very strong. -Zucchine e Maiz lasagna: Pesto was a great sauce choice and paired well with the zucchini and corn. -Squid Ink Seafood Pasta (special): Generous seafood portions and the dish was flavorful. -Complimentary focaccia: Fluffy and yummy with olive oil.

Other dishes: The Italian Sausage lasagna was fine. I personally love crispy lasagna edges, but some people found it too crisp and too dry. The salad (Insalata di Rucola) wasn't mind blowing, but I'm glad we ordered a veg to cut...

through the richness and heaviness of three carb-heavy entrees. The restaurant itself is smaller than expected, so I would avoid coming here with large parties. It also felt really hot and stuffy inside, which I anticipate getting worse as summer progresses. The interior is cutely decorated. Service was initially attentive. We did have to flag down our waitress multiple times to order and get the check. Overall, my party enjoyed the food and we would come back!

This is a very cute and stylish Italian restaurant that sets itself apart from your typical class Italian restaurants in the Bay Area. The menu isn't big but very focused, I believe that's a good thing. I scanned around other tables and I saw 8/10 people ordered the Lasagna so I decided to give it a try. My dear friend ordered their special seafood pasta - OMG it was a bomb (9/10)! Everything was so flavorful and well-balanced in that dish. Best seafood pasta I've ever had. On the flip side, I *liked* my Lasagna for the texture but I didn't like the fact that they used Parmesan (or some dry, salty cheese) instead of Mozzarella. The whole dish tasted very heavy and way too umami. I missed the wetness and freshness of a Mozzarella layer, so 6/10. For drinks, I ordered a Negroni - not impressed.

For desserts, we shared a Tiramisu (5/10), I wasn't impressed neither. However we enjoyed the arugula grapes salad a lot (7.5/10). We were also very surprised by the generous portion of all dishes offered by this tiny little...

The pastas were all delicious and you can't go wrong with tiramisu either.. My only regret is not getting lasagna which seems to be their signature. I will be back for that next time.:)

I was absolutely enamored by the coastal Italian vibes this little restaurant had. After seeing the interior, I needed to try their lasagna!!! ESPECIALLY since it's a shop that specializes in their housemade lasagna sheets. ALSO, the housemade focaccia was perfect. Here's what we ordered: Lasagna Bolognese (4/5): Soooo rich and flavorful! Almost too sweet and salty, but wow! The bolognese sauce was SOOOO MEATY. It was more beef than pasta, which was really hearty and delicious. Each lasagna sheet was tender, but had a nice bite. Seafood Linguni Special (5/5): If the waiter tells you this is the special today, this is a MUST ORDER! We substituted the squid ink spaghetti with linguini, and it perfectly soaked up the DECADENT SAUCE. Not too salty and perfectly balanced. Complimented the seafood incredibly. I will come back and eat this EVERY TIME. Pesto Gnocchi (4/5): They cook the gnocchi really tender and soft, so don't expect really chewy potato dumplings. I personally like the texture and it absorbed the pesto really well. This had no frills and was simple. Could use some more salt and cheese, but still easily yummy. -1 star because we did find a little piece of white plastic in our Lasagna Bolognese (pictured in this review). Dined at Capri Lasagneria for Mother's Day. We made a reservation for lunch and were surprised when we were seated outside. It wasn't a huge deal, but we were expecting indoor seating and we felt like the vibe of the meal was different given we were literally eating on the sidewalk. We asked to be moved to an indoor table but were told they were for reservations...which we had. For food, we got their classic gnocchi appetizer, the bolognese lasagna, and their seafood pasta along with a few nonalcoholic drinks. Everything was tasty but relatively high priced. For example, the seafood pasta was $35. The lasagna bolognese was good, but we felt that it actually had too much cheese. Gnocchi was good but not worth $14. Service was friendly, but we didn't appreciate how our waitress tried to push the burrata appetizer on us at least three times.

Stopped by on a whim on a Tuesday around 5pm. There wasn't a wait yet and only two tables taken. Service was attentive and a carafe of water was given to the table (of 3). We got the gnocchi fritto, burrata alla caprese, insalata mista, Italian sausage lasagna, lobster ravioli (special), and tiramisu. Gnocchi was fried well and was chewy and crispy. The truffle cream sauce was nice. I could see this going well with an order of the meatballs. The burrata was good as well with juicy tomatoes and seemed to have some sort of pesto sauce with it. The mista salad was a bit bland - probably wouldn't order it again. The italian sausage lasagna was good - crispy cheese edges and had a kick to it because of the peppers. I did find the lasagna on the slightly drier side. It was better after we added some of the sauce from the ravioli. As for the ravioli, it was a tiny bit disappointing. Couldn't quite taste the lobster in it and the overall ravioli wasn't that hot. The sauce was tasty though. Surprisingly, I would say the tiramisu was the best dish we had. Light, sweet, and creamy. Very easy to eat and not dry at all. Wouldn't mind returning and trying the bolognese lasagna or building your own.

The restaurant is really cute, but it is very small. We made a reservation ahead of time, but when we arrived there was a large party inside, so our options were sitting in the very back indoors or outside on a warm day. We chose to sit outside, but as the sun shifted it got pretty hot and we ended up having to get up halfway through the meal to move our table, chairs, and umbrella to stay shaded. About an hour into our meal, our conversation was interrupted and we were asked to leave because they needed the table for other guests, which felt a bit rushed. That said, the food was delicious and the complimentary focaccia was especially yummy!

First time at Capri Lasagneria on a Thursday evening around 5:20 pm. Inside the restaurant was about half full. Nice interior with tables pretty close to each other. Started off with the Cesar salad and fried gnochi. Both were good. The Italian sausage lasagna wasn't bad. The sheets of pasta were soft and cooked well. The bolognese had a weird after taste. Chocolate budino was major letdown. Plain chocolate pudding, hard pass. The service was lacking. The one lady server had some major rbf and didn't look like she wanted to be there. This place was so delicious and had such a cute European feel to it. The staff was so nice, and the food was amazing. They're known for their lasagnas, and we had a zucchini and corn lasagna with pesto - it wasn't too heavy at all. It felt very fresh with such unique flavors, and so delicious. The cocktail was great too - blood orange and not too sweet. The burrata was so creamy, sitting in a bed of pesto, which I feel is uncommon. We also had a build-your-own rigatoni with tomato sauce and mushrooms, which was equally delicious and perfectly al dente.

Walked around and decided to check out this tiny gem. It definitely doesn't disappoint. They line to get a table did start to get long but it was a good thing we got there just in time. We had a pup so we sat outside during one of those warmer winter evenings. Although sitting inside would've been nice also. Place looks pretty good Now let's talk about what matters... Free bread!!! Lol. Yes but there's more. We came here for the lasagna and while it wasn't what I was used to, I just love that layer of cream or ricotta or mozzarella... We did not get that. What we got was this rich bolognese sauce which tasted like like it spent a while in the pot. I also loved the lobster ravioli which was a special for that day. It's texture was just really good. It has a good bite. I would Def recommend. I think it will be put on my regular rotation. Hope you guys enjoy!!!

Such a cute, intimate restaurant! Came in with some friends who made reservations and was seated quickly during lunch on a weekend. The lasagna portions imo are pretty big. My favorite was the zucchini lasagna in comparison to its traditional counterpart. But all the lasagnas we tried were just as tasty. Their salads are also really good and are enough to share between two people depending on your appetite. The waiter who helped us was also very attentive and very knowledgable with the menu/wine. I would definitely come back here for the food and service. It was a pleasant experience!

I absolutely loved my experience here. The workers here are so pleasant, and my waitress made my dinner feel extra special. The atmosphere is cozy too. The Burrata aila caprese with prosciutto was so good!! I was mind blown. The pastas were all delicious and you can't go wrong with tiramisu either.. Wanted to check this place out and so brought family for dinner. Pros: ambience was quaint and cute, we were seated right away, bread was warm and yummy. Cons: -unfortunately, our dishes were bland :( there was chicken Alfredo, chicken lasagna, bolognese and the special seafood pasta. I brought four Italians to Capri, and they all said the food tasted like their nonna's cooking, so if that tells you anything... The server was very friendly and even cracked a few jokes that made me genuinely "LOL". They have wine, beer, and "low alcohol" cocktails, which are still very good! The food portions are generous, which is good because my wife is out of town and I will need dinner for tomorrow night. The only downside was that it got rather loud in the small room. Overall, it was a great experience! We will definitely be returning! read more

Was staying at the airport, Marriott wanted some delicious Italian, did not disappoint, we brought a bottle of wine in from our trip to Napa all was perfect. The sausage lasagna was on point and a bit spicy. The burrata salad was given to us complementary by Ezra she is awesome! My Italian grandmother would approve! The tiramisu was excellent! read more

I live for lasagna, never can resist it if it's on a menu. This place oh man, what a fantastic time my husband and I had here yesterday. They've been open barely two weeks and already hit their stride and a vibe. We got their caesar, a creamy tinge of anchovy dressing croutons and fresh crunchy romaine. I love tangy and for the acid, I added several spritzes of lemon. Their lasagna bolognese a dream of layers upon layers of pasta, cheese, tomato and meat sauces, and of course, I said yes to extra dusting of freshly grated parmesan. Oozy satisfying homey comfort food goodness in every bite, with the crust slightly charred around the edges. The portions are generous enough for three people to share. Btw., if you wanna see the biggest pepper grinder ever ... it's here :-) Tiramisu, another layered concoction, not overly sweet nor boozy, beautifully balanced and ethereally light. The prices are decent. The interior super cute, casual, and fun, an Italian panorama of collages playing on the wall. The service is stellar, the two hostesses out front are beyond adorable and sweet, one of them our server, Ezra, super warm, chatty, friendly. Everyone there was welcoming and helpful. What an addition to Burlingame, can't wait to go back and try their chicken with vodka sauce version. read more

We had a party of eight and even though they don't take reservations we requested outside sitting. By the time we arrived, the tables were set. Ezra was our waitress with a pleasant personality. Service was excellent. The arugula and Caesar salads were fresh and dressings were excellent. Our party ordered various lasagnas made with homemade noodles and fettuccine pastas and an array sauces were delicious. Then, we ordered all of their desserts for our party to share; all were delicious!! We will be back soon. read more

From the time we walked in the Host sat us down, to the waitress who took our order, to the person who took our plates away, they were so welcoming...EVERYTHING was perfect! The place is small and quaint, you can have a conversation without yelling. The food was delicious! We had a Caesar salad, foccacia bread, one of their famous lasagnas (sausage) and tiramisu. A restaurant specializing in lasagna?? Heck yes!!! Capri Lasagneria in downtown Burlingame did not dissapoint. I started off with the fried knochi and a ceaser salad. Both were amazing. I especially enjoyed the sauce that comes with the knochi, I just wish there was more of it! I had the spicy sausage lasagna for my entree. The perfect ratio of sauce to noodle. The kick of spice was unique and better than expected. I finished off with complimentary Teremisu (check in on yelp) which was moist and delicious. Our server Minor was amazing, and big thanks to Onur as well for his service. The hostess Annie was so kind as well! The lemon vibe and ambiance matches perfectly for an intalian restaurant. P.S.: The same ownership as Burlingames Mykonos and SFs Roma Antica! I visit Mykonos monthly and let me say, the owners of these restaurants sure know what they are doing! read more

First time here. Hole in the wall. Lovely ambiance and lighting. Packed. Got a place at the bar and the chicken vodka lasagna. Best lasagna I've ever had!!!! The burrata is great and how they present it. Staff extremely friendly. Mushroom soup was good. Will definitely return. They also have an espresso machine. read more

This is what my $13 salad looked like on Thurs. I called to tell them that I think they forgot the tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. The person who answered the phone said I needed to talk to the chef/owner and I should write them an email. So I wrote them an email and got no response. Such a bummer, really wanted to love them and the spicy lasagna was pretty good but this salad was pathetic and should never have been served. read more

Beauttifulll little restaurant ! The waiters were all so attentive, one fills your water while the other takes your order. They even asked for my grandmothers ID Made her feel like a queen! And the food-- delicious. Its no joke why this place is named after their Lasagna. The soup, salad, desserts... everything was excellent absolutely perfect. They accidentally brought out the wrong salad and let us keep it free of charge. The bill after ordering so many items was only $100. Our total came to approximately $90, and for that price, I expected a more satisfying overall experience. Service was also inconsistent. It was slow initially, and while our server was cordial and kind once he assisted us, he did not return to check on us after taking our order. We ultimately relied on the bartender for items such as an extra spoon and the check. The ambiance is beautiful, but between the limited menu, high prices, uneven food, and inattentive service, I do not feel the experience justified the cost. Unfortunately, I do not plan to return. For Michelin rated I expected more.

Two 12 ounce drinks came out to about $22 before tax and tip, which is a tough pill to swallow for what amounts to two fairly small beverages. The quality is definitely there, but it feels more like an occasional treat than something I'd stop in for regularly. That said, if you're looking to try something different and appreciate high quality ingredients, Trad Bone is absolutely worth checking out. The Zucchine e Mais was a delightful surprise--a pesto-forward lasagna that's lighter than its meat counterparts. The corn added a pleasant sweetness that elevated the dish. Our second choice was the highly recommended Italian Sausage Lasagna. This one had a bit of a spicy kick that builds over time, so be careful if you're not accustomed to spicy foods. The service was really really good. The servers and the host are very nice and attentive. I did the build your own pasta it was just spaghetti and bolognese sauce and it was sooo good. The food came in very hot which I love. The olive oil for the bread taste very very fresh and it goes really well with the bread. AND OMG the tiramisu is soooo good it's a must have.
