$35 for three baskets of fries to go? Good lord.

45 minutes for three orders of French fries to go that I had to leave before I got. No refund offered, no apologies just another they are almost ready. Oh and $35 for three orders of fries. Hard pass for me and my family in the future. Enjoy the last $40 (including tip) that you will ever get from us. Sad, been going here for years but not anymore.

Delicious and tasty, the garbage plate isn't really as I thought but worth a try to munch on, service was excellent, the vibe is good for chilling and soaking in the water view.

I visited captain jack's back in august. What a gem. I see how this can easily be a local's favorite. The ambiance is fun and welcoming; mostly filled with locals. Given that it's a small town, my friends and I definitely stood out, especially after playing some Feid and Karol G on their boombox haha. The staff was cool and joking with us. I didn't really try much of their food, since we were normally out there after dinner. We did order the lobster bisque which was amazinggggg. Like really good. that, and their wings. I'm a sucker for a nice crunch and these were made just right. I recommend this spot for anyone visiting or new to the area. I can see it being a great way to get to know your neighbors.

Great food. Fantastic drinks, service was great. The new decor and gift shop is 10/10. It's always been a beautiful spot!

Visited for lunch on a week day. Team was friendly and food was tasty. Plenty of parking right outside tavern and we were able to speak with the owner as it was quiet week day lunch. Had the Caesar salad and the lobster bisque.

Lauren was our server and was super friendly, though she was apparently new-ish, which showed in some of our orders not being quite right. Everything was also pretty slow and the timing of dishes coming out wasn't uniform. Pizza was fine, but could've been hotter and a bit more crisp on the crust. Wings were good, but not the type we ordered. The half order of nachos was crazy big and just ok, flavor-wise. With limited options at the point, it's fine, but temper your expectations.

The restaurant is known for its wood-fired menu that blends American cuisine with creative twists and influences. My wife and I live somewhat close to Sodus Point and had been meaning to go out to take a little day trip. Her co-workers actually gave her a gift card for Six50, so we decided it'd be a perfect opportunity to go out for a nice day and try out the restaurant. The reviews were concerning, but hey, we weren't paying for it anyway. We ended up there around 1PM on a Saturday. Sodus Point is very much a touristy-beach-boat town, the streets are lined with restaurants and historical landmarks while the beach and bay surrounds the little village. While there were plenty of people around, there was still plenty of close, open, free parking on the streets, and we were able to park only a couple minute walk from the restaurant. There were only a couple occupied tables and we were sat pretty immediately at an outside table when we walked in, although we were told we'd have to wait a couple minutes until our server got back to the restaurant, but we didn't ask exactly what that meant. When our server did show, which wasn't long after, we already had our order decided. One of Six50s things is that everything is wood fired and there are no deep fryers at the restaurant - they even have a sign out front saying so - so we chose an order of their wood fired chicken wings in their "dynamic duo" sauce, a combination of buffalo and garlic parmesan. My wife ordered a Mount Vesuvius pizza, while I chose the Adriano pizza. Our wings came out first relatively quickly, and while they were cooked very well, the sauce had 0 flavor. Most of it slipped right off the wings onto the plate, but even when we rolled them around, the flavor just wasn't there. They say everything including their sauces are home made, so while the wing sauce wasn't great, we did enjoy their (assuming) home made bleu cheese. We waited for a long time for our pizzas, around another 40 minutes AFTER we received our wings. At a busy restaurant, wouldn't have thought anything of it, but there were maybe 3 other tables sat with us in the restaurant, so it seemed like a long time. The pizzas were surprisingly not bad - we felt they had both pros and cons. The pros being there were plenty of toppings, good flavor, and one pizza is probably enough for 2 people. The cons being, while there were plenty of toppings, there was very little cheese. That, and both my wife and I had slices that were completely burned from the wood fire, and didn't even have any toppings on them anymore. Our server was friendly and attentive when we needed it. We had a $65 gift card and only owed $5 after it for 2 pizzas, an order of wings, and a fancy drink for my wife, and we brought home pretty much an entire third pizza form the left overs, so not a bad value. My only other complaints were that there was a broken lock on the one person men's room door, which they were aware of because they had a sign on it saying to please knock first, and while there's beautiful views on the outside patio of the bay, it'd be a much nicer experience out there if they cleaned it. The barrier that's up between the tables and the bay was just absolutely COVERED in cobwebs, as were the string of lights they had hung overhead. Overall, it was not as bad as the other reviews had me believing it would be, but it also didn't impress us either. It was an edible, mostly enjoyable meal, but nothing that really stood out and makes me want to return.

The restaurant is also available to get to by boat as the site also hosts a marina with slips for both transient boats and seasonal slip rentals. My wife was given a gift card for Skippers for her birthday, and over the weekend, we decided to go use it. It's situated somewhat in a residential neighborhood with a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant. We were sat right away. It was an early dinner for us, around 4PM. There were a couple other tables sat, but the restaurant was mostly open. We asked for an outdoor seat and were brought right back. The inside of the restaurant is large with 2 floors and was very dark inside. We were given our menus. Took a bit for our server to get to us, but no big deal. I ordered the risotto with chicken and a virgin pina colada while my wife got the lobster stuffed haddock with a drink special. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol, I always appreciate a restaurant that offers mocktails. Again, not a ton of tables sat, but it took a bit for us to get our food. Luckily, it was a beautiful day to just sit and look out onto the water. Our food was brought over and we got to it. Portions were large, but we both felt the food was just okay. My risotto had very little flavor, and the chicken was completely unseasoned. My wife said her food was fine, but the onion rings were the stand out of her meal. Our gift card was for $80 and our 2 meals and drinks came to $86. Our server was very friendly, but the service was slow for the amount of people there. Beautiful view on the outside patio, but for us, that was the best part of the experience.
