Tried Captain6 Korean BBQ and overall had a solid experience. The meat quality and variety were great, especially for the price point. The $26 lunch and late night specials are definitely worth it, and I'd come back just for that. We ordered the Chef's Pirate Platter and really enjoyed the pork jowl, short rib, and rib finger. All flavorful and good quality cuts. Service was alright. Staff was friendly, but we did find ourselves having to flag someone down a few times to order more meat or make requests. We also tried the hot pot with the spicy tonkotsu and miso broths, but both were pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. Probably wouldn't order those again. On the positive side, the included desserts were a nice surprise. The affogato and lemon sorbet were both really good and a great way to end the meal. Overall, a good spot with solid value. One of the most reasonable priced Korean BBQ in town! I've been here a few times only the first time was on purpose! Usually it's because long wait times at other places that I want to try but still haven't. Wait times here are hit or miss. Sometimes there is about 30-60 minute wait but others no wait. All parties must be present to be seated!!! There is no real waiting area. There is a bench. A small bench. No standing room. So if you have to wait prepare to be outside or in the car and they will text you. Service is good. They don't harp on you so go ahead and order a bunch to start like the tomahawk combo which is a cool deal. I love the apps and sides. I like the rock shrimp, gyoza, cream cheese wontons. Corn cheese, cucumber kimchi and the Captain 6 rice. Everything I've had was good. If I had a complaint it would be to change up the desserts very limited and tiny. Not much to look at as far as ambiance. It really is just a bunch of tall booths. But the place is clean. Service is good. Food is great quality. You really don't need to look at a painting on the wall to have a good time. By the time I thought about taking pictures of the food we were done. So here's the menu. This is a good spot. They do AYCE kbbq and/or hot pot. You can do both at the same time. I was excited to see Tomahawk on the menu. It is only 1 order for 1 to 4 people but it was still good. Lots of choices. The service is always great here. They have lunch and dinner AYCE prices. Lots of parking and I haven't gone where there's a wait. They are busy all hours of the day. So happy that my friend recommended this place and we went on the same day. Prepare yourself to find a parking at this spot as it does not allow or provide a bigger parking space but luckily when we went there, there were a couple spots open so it was very easy to park. The place is surrounded with lots of different businesses so if you feel like walking to a Boba spot right next to after your dinner or lunch, then there definitely other places to check out now after the main place captain six. As soon as we get in, we were greeted by the front desk and waiters and also surprisingly we were seated right away. Our server was very attentive and thus provide every single thing we've asks them besides the Chopsticks we also asked for more napkins and silverware, which they were happily be able to help. The food and everything that we ordered was delicious. From the appetizer to the main entree and even to the soup itself was very curated with delicious seasoning and not bland at all. As you can see there's a Tomahawk choice and it came out not frozen but fresh so we were able to enjoy a good grilled tomahawk steak. Their appetizers are abundant, and the quality of meat are very good all the way to their dessert. They have a specific menus for soup and we went to have the beef soup which is utterly tasty. Overall, the servers are very respectful and friendly. So we just went to a show and we hadn't eaten so I felt like some Korean barbecue looked up a place on Yelp and here we are the place was pretty busy we had to wait about 15 minutes to get in it was around 11: 30 before we got in the meat came out pretty quickly we got the upgrade which is 33.99 I believe but the luncheon late at night is only 26.99 I think next time we'll go with the 26.99. All the sides were really good we had the tempura shrimp the gozas the Korean Fried Chicken and I forget what they call him but those glass noodles those were really good they had meat in them like Korean BBQ bologna meet but ground delicious the house salad I had two of them the salad is so refreshing for the palate but it's a lot of food anyway the food was delicious, but the service was just okay. Came here around 10:30 PM on a Saturday night and only waited about 20 minutes, which honestly isn't bad at all for a weekend. There's also a good amount of parking, which is always a plus. The meat quality was good, and the hot pot broths were decent. I like that you can choose two different broths, which is nice if you want variety. Service was just okay. Sometimes it took a while for the meats to come out, but nothing too terrible. Pricing-wise, if you come on weekdays before 4 PM or after 10 PM, they have a $27 special which I think is definitely worth it. We paid about $34 per person for dinner pricing. I also appreciate that they close late, which makes it a great late-night option. Just be prepared to smell like KBBQ after. Finally tried this place. We were a party of 6 and arrived at 6pm. Got there before the dinner rush and got seated quick. Service was decent. The variety of meats and food was great. You can do hot pot and bbq which we did. My only complaint it the tables were a bit tight for both hot pot and bbq with little to no room for all the food, especially being a party of 6. Been here twice. This spot is overall 10/10 loved the tomahawk, ribeye, and pork belly. Love the variety of sides that they offer. Wish the grill were a little bigger so we could cook more food, and if there were knives, because cutting the steak with the scissors can get difficult. Don't have a lot of photos cause I was too busy being the designated cook but we did all you can eat and the quality for 33 dollars was amazing. I love how there's hotpot and kbbq so you get the best of both worlds. Personally I don't prefer Wagyu but there's was good . One thing I will say is that I've been here roughly 2 years ago and the quality was a lot better but I still think this is one of the better quality AYCE kbbq places and better than going to a Vegas buffet. There is a reason why we always come back to Captain6 K-BBQ - the people who work there and the food is on point! Considering we came in shortly after they opened, they got pretty full and busy after we got seated. But thank goodness the A/C was working and keeping us cool after coming in from the heat/parking lot. Main update is that the menu has undergone a revision once again. We were quite happy seeing the lettuce wraps back on the menu! The Chefs Pirate Platter looked huge and we will have to try that as well as the Tomahawk steak which also made a comeback. This is the go-to Korean bbq spot in Vegas for me. I know it's part of Hwaro and Shota, but this is the King of their line of businesses. I've been to Korean bbq places all over the city, all over the country for that matter, and in my mind I'm always comparing them all to Captain 6. The price is awesome, none of that tiered junk they have at other places, one price for all day AYCE. Lunch special limits some items, but the all-day price at $36 (at the time of writing this) per person is perfectly fine any time for me. My buddy and I are bartenders downtown and it's our weekly ritual to come and see Earl and Lloyd. We make it most weeks, and it's still our favorite. You'd think you'd get tired of eating out at the same place time and time again. You'd be wrong. Service from Earl and Lloyd is always, always exceptional, as well as the rest of the staff. This place gets busy sometimes and the wait can be over an hour sometimes, but we never mind, we'll always wait. It's worth the wait. The food always, always looks fresh. The meat appears, and tastes of high quality. I've never left this place thinking I got less than I paid for. I've never thought that their quality dipped. There have been menu changes that made me sad for a while (when honey mustard chicken disappeared for about a year), but then it CAME BACK! And I was happy. Came in around 11:15-11:30am today. This was my second time visiting my first experience was about two years ago, and honestly, it wasn't great. I remember the meat having dark, almost black spots, which completely grossed me out. If I had written this review back then, it would've definitely been a 1 star. Our wait was about 45min which wasn't bad at all. Service was straight to the point. Place your name on the list, what would you like order, etc, which was okay with me. The cost was $29.95 for the weekend. There is also a time limit on the table of about an hour and 45min. You cook your own meat at this establishment. Which is great because you can make it to your own liking. Each table has a grill and a hot plate. Now on to the food. I must say, everything I had on the menu was delicious. Seasoned to perfection. Place was super busy on a Friday night so make that ressie! The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was bc 90 min was not enough time for our party of 11. I get they need the tables to accommodate customers and that time would be fine with a smaller party. But for us, we felt rush knowing we had to hurry up to order and eat. Plus sometimes we had to flag down our waiter to order more and clear the plates the raw meat was on. We were also crammed in the table in the back. Protein heaven... AYCE at an amazing price--especially for lunch--and even dessert is included. Lots of Asians here too... always a great sign! Just dont be afraid to ask questions. Your server will gladly help you get started and we got the literal meat sweats in the best way possible. In short, everything we tried is good/great and we tried most of the proteins... grilled only for us (no hot pot). Spicy bulgogi is a great start because it comes with more sauce than you need and you can later add it to other proteins as you go. Tempura shrimp is solid, tempura chicken is better. Gyoza are also worthy if you are craving fried food brought directly. Sesame oil and soy sauce are fully stocked at the table but the 3rd sauce (forgetting it's name) is where it's at.... Holy yum... do it! Grills are replaced as char builds up. Lemon sorbet was delectable and creamy... coconut milk...? I tipped extra just for a second serving. Wait staff is quite helpful a d constantly around so I never had to look far for anything I needed. The beef sampler was a great way to get going to sample some of their best as suggested by our server. My wife and I will be back again next week... these guys have it figured out and offer an incredible value that should be made more mainstream.
