When I got here I thought this wass going to be a one star food place but then when I got there the staff was really nice and kind. They let us pick where we sat and really settled us in. BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN THE INLAND EMPIRE!!!! Cara Mia catered my baby shower of 200 people! I would show the food but it got finished in under an hour!! I ordered 3 trays of the penne Alfredo with chicken and 3 trays of their, to die for, pesto tortellini. Both pastas were absolutely amazing! Navi, the manager, helped me with my order and this has been my second time having Cara Mia/Navi cater my event. We came here for the first time this week because we were craving Italian. We came back today (Saturday) and brought some friends. We love the burrata bruschetta !! So good! "Move Over Carbone & Carmine's - Cara Mia Just Raised the Bar" I love old school heavy-hitter Italian restaurants and frequent Carbone. If Carbone and Carmine's had a love child that went to culinary finishing school, it would be Cara Mia -- but honestly, this place might be even better. Think Carbone's flair meets Carmine's comfort -- but elevated and with live music. Cocktails? Perfectly balanced, beautifully presented (the limoncello lemon drop martini alone is worth the trip). I came here on a whim one night and had no idea this place was here. It is a very nice restaurant with pretty decent food. My friend got the gluten free pasta that was pretty undercooked which was a shame because the sauce was very good. I got the penne alla vodka which was good but I made the mistake of adding salmon. I thought it would be a piece of salmon, but it was cubed and mixed in, which made the whole dish very fishy. Still good but not what I wanted. The service was excellent. What was nice their happy hour was from 4pm to 7pm. We had a party of 15. Our server was just excellent. Very attentive to our needs. She helped us pick appetizers. They were very good. Drinks was delicious. All the entrees we ordered we all just loved. I had their lasagna and it was excellent. We brought cake for my husband's birthday and they cut and served it to everyone. That was kind. Nice surprise was the live music. Oh my gosh she was wonderful. Amazing! Can't believe we've never tried this hidden gem. We were very impressed with the ambiance, the service, and the food! We went on a Saturday night at dinner time and sat in the bar dining area. There was a live singer who was wonderful. The complimentary bread was hot and fresh served with butter. I ordered the chicken piccata and my husband ordered the carbonara. Both were so tasty and flavorful. Lastly, we finished off our meal with the tiramisu which I highly recommend. Great Restaurant with mixed experiences. This is my 4th time visiting this restaurant and it really can be a hit or miss. Thankfully this most recent time it was a hit especially since I was treating my cousin who I hadn't seen in years! Our server was very kind and the man who was helping her out was also very kind and attentive. The complimentary bread is really good but there was one visit when we didn't receive bread at all, and this most recent time the bread was so late that our food came out literal seconds later, didn't really get to enjoy the bread. The bruschetta here is very yummy though not necessarily the best, the tomato to bread and sauce ratio is off, a little too much tomato for my taste. I've had most of their specialty drinks here but the sunset martini was probably my favorite, the perfect martini. Not too sweet and the perfect amount of liquor. My all time fav thing that brings me back though is their tortellini genovese with chicken, it is absolutely delectable, the best pasta I've ever had personally. The service is a giant hit or miss though, my first visit here we had an older woman as our sever and she was great, the following two times after that I had the exact same server with really bad service, she was extremely condescending when taking out order. We would watch her go over to other tables and have full blown conversations and then walk over to us and wipe the smile off her face and be very short. I know of, don't personally know, the family that owns this place and they are great people from what I'm told so that combined with the amazing food has kept me coming back. I was just happy we had a different server this fourth time, a younger lady who was very very kind and attentive. I'll be back for sure though!! read more

This is the first time I was in this city. I was on my way to visit relatives from Orange County and stopped for a dinner. I wanted Italian food so I compared every one in the area simply by the pictures of the dishes. Judging by the color and the consistency of the sauces, I picked this restaurant. I like the name too (my dear). We ordered Spaghetti Fresco and Cioppino. They were both excellent. The quality and the portion of the seafood were outstanding. The red wine from central valley of my choice was very good for the price (better yet: $3 off before 7PM). It was a very satisfactory meal. read more

We ate at this restaurant and there was a piece of wire about and 1 1/2" in one of the Chicken Riccho that we ordered. We addressed the issue with an Indian woman who may have been the owner, as she was not a server and was very indignant when she was shown the wire...she said the chicken was sliced and there no way that it was from it, and she took the wire and left, she came out again and denied the issue...we asked her for the wire back and she totally ignored us and left the room...then Veronica, who I believe is the manager of the restaurant came over and reiterated exactly what the Indian woman said...all we meant to do was bring the wire to the restaurant's attention, and expected that they would apologize and just give us another dinner... instead, the meal was taken off our bill, however, Veronica gave a dirty look to two of (we were 4 all together) as we left the restaurant...this event left a very negative impression of the restaurant, which the 4 of us have frequented in the past As far as I am concerned, the rudeness that we experienced was not necessary and I'm not sure that we will be back. read more

This is the former Antonio's and has maintained its classic charm and great quality of the food. The flavors are pronounced and remind me of my time in Italy. My absolute favorite is the eggplant parmigiana, which is also the house special. It's cooked to perfection and served with veggies instead of pasta, which makes it a healthier yet filling alternative to the conventional version. You can always substitute pasta for an up charge if you prefer the traditional version of the dish. The lasagna and salmon linguine are great too. The complementary bread is oven fresh focaccia. They have a full bar, live music on Friday night and friendly servers. The manager is on top of her game and makes sure all guests feel welcome. read more

Randomly found this place and I am glad I did. The place is pretty big which made it fast for a party of 5 to be sat. The staff was very friendly and provided recommendations, I went with their lobster ravioli which was very yummy. Also tried a little bit of their lasagna which was also good. We came here for a birthday celebration and were extremely disappointed. From the start, the service felt rushed and dismissive--servers cut us off mid-order and walked away before we had finished. We were the only table in the restaurant, so there was no reason for this behavior. The food arrived unnaturally fast, which in hindsight made sense given the quality. The "salad" was nothing more than large, uncut chunks of iceberg lettuce with bottled dressing. The crab cake tasted freezer-burned, the chicken on the fettuccine was so tough it couldn't be eaten, and the Cara Mia angel hair with shrimp was cold in the middle, as though everything had been microwaved. The shrimp itself was rubbery and overcooked, while the pasta was completely flavorless. To make matters worse, everyone in our party felt ill afterward. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. We will not be returning and would strongly caution others against dining here. read more

She didn't check in on us much and was rude to my partner as she was setting down our food and tossed the napkin into his lap rather than putting it on the other side of the table??
