This is a unique Middle Eastern/Pakistani restaurant that does everything right. From kebabs to beef nihari, they make it just right. First visit I had Beef Nihari. Really wanted to like this small, family-owned restaurant with a varied menu. Unfortunately, out of the four dishes we had only one was good. The naan that the waiter recommended was the worst we've ever had. It was flat, oily and tasteless. The spanikopita was so-so, but there was very little spinach or cheese in it so not much flavor. For the entrees both the beef stroganoff and the chicken curry came with carrost and squash on top of the noodles (stroganoff) and rice( curry) and I noticed all the dishes servers were taking by had the same. While the curry, "mom's recipie" was tasty it was not better than other Indian restaurants. The stroganoff was just not good. They put pomegranate seeds in it which did not add well to the flavor and it tasted sort of sweet. May be for some tastes, but not ours. Finally, service needs some work. The had three women running around delivering food, cleaning tables, etc., but only the one man can take your order and he takes his time. read more

The menu has the perfect balance between variety (Mediterranean, Indian, and Eastern European) and selectivity - only a few of each type of dish. The korma was excellent, smooth and flavorful, with a great color on the chicken-grilled not boiled in sauce. The eggplant rolls were extremely tasty, and the hummus and pita, which are often written off as basic, were warm, fluffy, and yummy. 10/10 will return. My roommate and I stumbled across this place by accident and we were drawn in by the colorful array of decorations we could see through the windows. So glad we stopped - the food was so delicious, and the people running the restaurant were so nice. Their menu offers a variety of food from several different cuisines. We sampled a little bit of Indian, Turkish, and Pakistani dishes, all fresh tasting, all delicious, and all beautifully presented. I have celiac disease and the waiter was very helpful and well informed in pointing out their many gluten-free options - and didn't make me feel like it was any kind of imposition that I had to ask. Fenominal! We came down from Marysville and met my dad from Bremerton for dinner. We have gone to a quite a few indian restaurants before as it's our favorite cuisine and this place is top notch. This is my boyfriend's absolute favorite restaurant in Washington. He loves every dish, he loves the people, he loves the vibe, and he loves how quaint it is! We came here for his birthday & I was pleasantly surprised. The service: As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed and followed our server to our table. He asked for our drink request & brought out our drinks almost immediately. Our server was very friendly and informative about the menu. He would come check on us whenever convenient and we really appreciated that. The atmosphere/vibe/decor: I honestly love the inside decor and how much is going on in the restaurant! There's a lot to look at but yet it's still so elegant and fancy inside. The tables are nice and well kept, everything was clean and the silverware, glasses and plates were very classy. I felt a little under dressed - I wish I would have worn nicer clothing. The food: I'm not very familiar with the food on the menu but I enjoyed the dish I had, it was a chicken dish that I needed help pronouncing, haha! The food was to die for. My boyfriend always enjoys the dishes he gets here & never complains. They are always spot on. At the end of our meal as we were paying, I mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday and our waiter told us to wait for just one moment. Then he brought out two large pieces of baklava! He said they were on the house and my, my they were scrumptious! I wish I would have taken some home with me. So many layers, so well put together and just delicious. Little Indian/ Middle Eastern eatery in a Victorian style converted house (or looks like it). Cute, weird, clashy, in a good kind of way. Very very solid 4 stars... even 4.5. Probably the best Indian place left open in Edmonds, which isn't saying much - there isn't a lot of competition. The buttered chicken was solid, but the matta paneer is so delish I didn't get to take a photo before the entire thing was inhaled. The garlic naan is also amazing - fresh and hot out of the tandoori, just a little crusty around the edges, as authentic as it comes. The samosas was covered in an interesting cream sauce and a spicy sauce blend. It's not what I'm used to, but super good. The place has a lot of difference influences from the region. Pakistan, Armenia, and Indian. I really dig it and would recommend to anyone who is looking for something a bit more authentic. read more

We have been here a dozen times. Ordered Arni Aliada, Lamb Saag, Haandi Curry, and Garlic Naan. It all tasted very nice as usual. But, the naan was served at first and got cold when the meals came out. Naan is NOT an appetizer and should be served with curry. It was odd. Also, the serving size of Basmati rice was smaller than usual and we each ordered extra rice, which we got charged $3.50 each, for yet again, very small serving. Paying nearly $15 with tax and tip for rice alone was absurd. We usually got extra serving of rice for free in the past. Something must have changed in the management recently. read more

The Persian recipes are not authentic and are mostly made up. I got the Fesenjan stew and it was nothing like an actual Fesenjan stew.. it had large pieces of tomatoes and onions which was odd. I decided to give it a try anyway but this stew just didn't taste good.. read more

This restaurant doesn't know what it wants to be. I did a google search of the best restaurants in Edmonds, Washington and this was on the top ten list on yelp. I thought...ooo Indian food sounds good, let's give it a try. Got there to discover the menu was a complete mix match of food from all over the Eastern world...Indian, Greek, Mediterranean, and even Russian. I'm sorry to say that none of it really lived up to expectations. The saganaki was mozzarella not halloumi, the coconut chicken, mango chicken, and chicken tikka masala looked identical and were even hard to distinguish from each other by taste. Overall, really not impressed by the food, although they certainly gave us rice for days!! Very much not an authentic Indian restaurant, so don't go here and expect that. That being said, the service was very friendly and 'some' of the dishes were reasonably tasty and fresh, just not authentic to any of the various ethnicities that were offered...at least from the selection of dishes that we had. I'm all for a mixed menu, or fusion dishes, but I would suggest that they perfect a smaller number of dishes that really work, or decide on a specific ethnicity of cuisine and stick to that. read more
