If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. Absolute worst car service experience of my life. Not once, but twice now in a row (previous atrocious service experience was Dec 18th 2025). On a side note, back then I received a call from the manager and shared my experience. I got the standard apology and was told I will receive an email with a gift card for the inconvenience. I was told that if I did not receive the gift card, that I should email them to follow up on my gift card. Gift card never came. What a joke. I purchased my Genesis at this dealership in December 2022, and there were no problems with the sales department. The service department is absolutely atrocious. I dropped off my car on Friday 8/14 at 12:30 pm and got my loaner. I was advised by the SA I would receive a call on Saturday. No call received so I called at 11 am on Saturday and spoke with Brian and was told they're working on my car and I should receive a call when it's done. 2:30 pm rolls around, no call received. I called 5 times, no answer and unable to leave a VM bc mailbox is full. So I drive down (I live 30 miles away) and arrive at the dealership at 4 pm to find out my car has not even been worked on. At 4:15 pm I watch it being driven into the bay, wait 1 hour to receive my car back, unwashed. The cherry on top of this whole experience, I'm told I can come back at another time for the free car wash. I live 30 miles away. What a joke. This is what they call a luxury experience at Genesis of Corona. Beware. read more

My experience with this Genesis service department was extremely disappointing. I brought my 2023 G70 in for the fuel-pump recall. Because I drive extensively for work, I asked whether they could increase the loaner's 100-mile limit. The manager refused without offering another accommodation. My check-engine light was also on, so I asked whether it could be related to the recall, which involves a condition that can cause the engine to run too rich. I was told they did not know and that investigating it would cost extra. They charged me approximately $330 to diagnose the check-engine light, even though I had already scanned the car and knew it was showing misfire codes. Afterward, they told me all four spark plugs were "shot." The plugs had been installed only about two months earlier and had roughly 3,000-4,000 miles on them. Before purchasing them, I verified compatibility with two auto-parts stores, Amazon's fitment system, AI, and a mechanic. They worked initially but burned out extremely fast. I later installed the correct OEM plugs, and the misfire stopped, so the dealership was correct that the previous plugs were bad. My issue is that they never explained why four nearly new plugs burned out so quickly. I was shown pictures proving the plugs were bad, but I was not told whether they were fuel-fouled, carbon-fouled, overheated, damaged, or affected by another fuel or combustion problem. Considering the recall involves an excessively rich fuel mixture, I reasonably wanted to know whether that condition could have contributed. Instead of receiving a clear root-cause explanation after paying $330, I was quoted $871.87 plus tax to replace four spark plugs. Nearly $900 for spark plugs, on top of the diagnostic charge, is outrageous--especially when nobody could explain why they failed after only a few thousand miles or whether it could happen again. Melissa was polite and seemed to be doing her best, so this is not directed personally at her. My complaint is with the dealership's policies, poor communication, changing explanations, excessive pricing, and failure to provide a complete diagnosis. Before this experience, I was extremely impressed with Genesis. I previously owned an Audi, planned to buy out my G70, and was considering leasing one or two more Genesis vehicles. After this visit, I will not buy or lease another vehicle from this dealership, and it has made me reconsider the Genesis brand entirely. read more

Went in for a routine oil change on my well maintained G80. Within a week after, oil light came on. Drove it to dealership, thinking faulty filter. Unfortunately it was their faulty attitude, specifically Mayra, that was a bright red light flag from then on. Charged me $1800 to fix, took over a week. Left the lot, driving home oil light came back on! Now the price was another "discounted" price of $2000!!! This time Mr Scott Jackson, the gen mgr showed his character when I escalated to Genesis Corporate (they were unhelpful because it's an independent dealership) and told me I was not welcome back to the dealership. Unfortunately the vehicle only had 75k miles, 7 years old, and I ended up getting rid of it because I was concerned about the repairs they did. read more

As always, it's always something. Typically we get our service done. They give us a loaner car this time. They said they didn't have one so they had us leave the car. My husband had to Uber home. Then I called. They say the car is ready, but nobody calls. Let me know. Now I have to Uber back there to get my car even though he said he put it as a weight and it was done by 12. 1 Star Terrible experience with Genesis of Corona. I had one of the worst car‑buying experiences here. I purchased a vehicle that was delivered with a crack in the window, and instead of taking responsibility for damage that was clearly present upon delivery, they are charging me $1,000 out of pocket to repair it. Completely unacceptable. The manager, Myra, was cold, unhelpful, and showed zero understanding or willingness to resolve the issue. On top of that, I was told the car included an aerial‑view backup camera, yet when it arrived, it did not have this feature at all. This is incredibly misleading. I walked in and walked out in 20 minutes to close the deal with their flagship sedan G90 E-Supercharger. Simply, I was looking for my company vehicle and my wife suggested me that I should look at the Genesis Q90. We drove to the dealer, looked around, found a car I liked. Eric, THE sales person asked me if I wanted to test drive the car. Before I even thought about it, he brought the key. I gave him my driver's license and drove the car around the block. I asked the number I was willing to pay and deal was done without even sitting on the desk. Gave him all the info he needed and came back home. I opend my email and signed the conctact. This is how car buying should be in my opinion. I have done it like this numerous times but it is hard to find a car dealership/ sales person would like it as well. They even offered me to deliver the car but I went next day and picked up the car. Simple, fun and no hassle. I found a Certified pre owned I was very interested in, reached out on Wednesday and offered a price + said we could come in Saturday morning to complete the deal. The salesperson suggested Sunday morning and we set an appointment for then. On Friday night I noticed the car was no longer listed on their website. So on Saturday I called the salesperson and he assured me, it's still available and I said okay, see you tomorrow. It's about an hour and half round trip for us, we go in Sunday morning wait about 30 minutes, and they look for the car. They ultimately said they sold the car on Saturday. I rate the service department zero stars!! I made an appt for Saturday September 13, 2025 at 8:00 am for an oil change. I was told it was gonna be about an hour to an hour and a half. I didn't get out of the place until 11: 15 am. Which was ridiculous for an oil change. I was not offered a loaner car. I did complain to who I thought was the manager name Rachel who then had to finish up my paperwork she apologized and offered a gift card to be emailed to me that I never recieved. The experience was disappointing and frustrating. I later found that my two watches and sunglasses that were in my trunk are missing. I had just threw them in my trunk along with a few other things before I gave them my car. read more

I've taken the car in 25 times in the past 2.5 years and they still haven't fixed one of the big issues. they keep saying the can't duplicate even though we show the service advisor each time. they also lost the wheel lock and won't replace and say that we took it elsewhere and lost it. why would I take it elsewhere when tire rotation is free there? stay away!!! I had a terrible experience with Genesis of Corona. I was scheduled to go in to the dealership yesterday morning to purchase a G70 that salesman Vladyslav M had agreed to put on hold for me. He had run my credit, we agreed on a price, and I sent my drivers license and insurance to him. He said "congratulations, I will secure the vehicle for you." I told him I'd be at the dealership when his shift started at 10am, two days later waiting to sign documents. Then at 8pm the night before, he sent me a text stating that he sold the vehicle to someone else. No warning ahead of time that he was negotiating to sell the car to someone else. I sent him a screenshot of the text where he stated he would secure the car for me. He replied and said that "his management can't hold a car when there is no signed contract." I'll be honest, I've never felt so burned by any business in my life. Vladyslav and the sales manager of this dealership have epitomized the negative stereotype of the unscrupulous auto dealer, and I am sorry to have crossed paths with either of them. I purchased a G70 from another dealership yesterday. They were extremely helpful. I purchased the vehicle over the phone with minimal hassle. It is being delivered today. The Corona dealership could learn a lot from the team in Palm Springs. Unfortunately I have no avenue for recourse, other than to share my experience through word of mouth to anyone in my network who inquires about my car or my experience. read more

Wound up taking home a beautiful GV80 last night thanks to the outstanding service from salesperson extraordinaire, Anthony. I had come in with my dad tagging along about 7 months ago, and was actively looking at a new car, but then circumstances got in the way. Now, months later, I was able to start again. Amazingly, Anthony remembered me and my dad. Right from the get go, he was friendly, super knowledgeable and very helpful. Within 10 minutes, I was pretty confident that I'd be going home in a new car that night. He knew ahead of time which car I was interested in, and had it cleaned up, gassed up and ready to go for a test drive, which we were able to get in the books before the sun went down. After I committed to it, the process slowed a little. The most laborious part being that we had to shuttle over to the Hyundai dealership to do the financing and paperwork parts. That took a bit, but when it was done, we zipped back to Genesis, and Anthony gave a thorough overview of the dozens of features the car has. Prices listed on the website did not reflect the $2,780 in dealer added accessories, it's a dishonest bait and switch tactic. Those dealer added accessories probably are the inflated prices of nitrogen filled tires, alarm system, and door edge guards to name a few. I was looking at a lightly used G70 and their vehicle listings always come out near the top when sorted in terms of value proposition but it turned out their prices were too good to be true. Unsuspecting customers would walk right into the dealership, and be blindsided by this. They are not the first dealership to employ this dishonest tactic, and sadly they won't be the last. This review is not going to matter much in the grand scheme of things as it will get passed over eventually but I emplor you to do yourself a favor, and be informed before walking in. The dates were pushed back, 2 local dealerships could not get the car in we wanted so we ordered the one we wanted and the wait was on. DO NOT bring your Genesis to be serviced here. I had my G80 serviced here a few times and I will never be coming back. With a little over 60,000 miles I took it in for major maintenance service. The car had been trouble free, To my surprise I received a call from the service writer telling me that it was leaking oil.... I told her I haven't seen a drop of oil on the driveway. They said the oil pan was leaking and it needed to be resealed. Almost $500 for the reseal. It was not under the engine warranty. I go to pickup the car and I notice on my invoice it states "customer complained of oil leak". I told her that I never complained of an oil leak as it had never leaked oil that I noticed !! She refused to change the statement on the invoice !! A couple weeks later, I notice a slight dripping of oil , the next day quite a bit of oil. I take it to my trusted mechanic I use for my other cars and he tells me it's leaking from the timing belt cover. Take it back to Genesis of Corona and they affirm it is the timing belt cover and give me a loaner. (The service writer was a male this time and he was honest) A different person calls me Two weeks later to pick up the car. I ask about getting reimbursed for the oil pan seal and they tell me it was something 'separate and unrelated to the current issue. I explained that it was the timing belt cover the entire time as it dripped onto the oil pan. They stood firm and refused to reimburse me. I don't appreciate a lie on the invoice and not owning up to your mistake. I hope to find a reputable Genesis service department in Southern California. read more
