If you want the best price on a car, don't buy a car from this dealer. They are shady. First, I email for a quote. I get put in contact with Lena, an internet saleswoman who looks about 24 years old. Seems friendly enough. This dealership utilizes personal videos to communicate. I asked for an offer on a specific car and also asked if they match or beat other offers. I was told to bring in any offer in writing and they would match or beat it. The saleswoman sent me a short video stating what the OTD price would be. I texted her back and asked for a written break down of all costs. She said she would give it to me when I come to the dealership. I said I'm not driving there just to get a written break down. Here is where the customer service really began to fall apart. She texted me back asking why I would want a written breakdown. This lady must not know the reputation that car dealers have when it comes to add ons. I explained to her that I wanted to compare apples to apples and wanted to know what the price of the car was without all the other taxes and fees. She said she would not give me a written breakdown because she did not want me showing other dealers. I said ok thanks and planned to terminate my contact with this dealership. She then texted back saying since there are other dealers closer to me, she didn't want to send me their best offer just to have another dealer match or beat it. Furthermore, she said what does it matter the cost break down, all that matters is the OTD price. Well it all depends on how one is getting to the OTD price. I might be getting screwed on taxes or dealer markup but apparently this lady doesn't think that's important. How does one negotiate if one does not know how you are getting to your number? Do you see the problem here? This dealer will only match other offers if those offers are in writing, yet this dealer doesn't provide written offers themselves. That's shady and hypocritical. Thanks but no thanks. I told her I had an offer from a dealer further away then her that was lower and I was willing to drive to that dealer, but that I wanted to give her dealership a chance. She blew it. She didn't even respond to the last text. If you want to be treated poorly by a dealership that is not transparent and hides behind video messages, this is your dealership. If you want a dealership that is transparent, doesn't insult you or question why you want a written offer, and is not afraid to send and stand behind written offers, then any other Mazda dealer is for you. read more

I would like to say that Joann was an outstanding sales rep. Both my husband and I have searched for cars to purchase, we found 2 that caught our eye at this dealership. My husband bought his car along with the cancellation agreement. He had the car checked out by an outside mechanic and in disbelief the car had engine problems (major oil leak), major rust (spray painted over) as well rear rotor issues. He returned to dealership as stipulated in agreement and they tried to feed him a crock of crap regarding the condition of this vehicle. The Sales Manager, the Service Manger as well as the General Manager were all distectful, unprofessional and apologetic regarding this situation. I too purchased a car however if I had known this treatment, I would never signed the agreement. I am ashamed to have their name attached to my car. My husband had to pay a $500. Fee to return the car. Thank you fir your treatment and helping me open my eyes to there actions and unfair/unbelievable/unethical tatics. This will not be the last time they hear frim me. This review is for my financed USED vehicle. Purchased a 2016 Hyundai Veloster from this dealership. I had initially made an appointment with AJ looking for a specific vehicle and they brought me in thinking it was still available. As soon as I came in they told me the vehicle had just sold so they showed me a similar vehicle. AJ really didn't know much about the vehicle to begin with but I pretty much let it go and ended up being ok with the vehicle they showed me so I purchased it. I could tell she was really trying to make the sale since I was not sure at first and she brought in her sales manager which was very rude to me basically telling me I didn't know what I was talking about due to me wanting to work with a different APR since I had great credit. I also let that slide because the car they were offering me was a pretty good deal for total price. When I went to sign the paperwork to finance my vehicle they ended up adding more charges for installation of an anti theft device which I did not agree upon but that was my fault for not reading that part of the paperwork. Again, I let that go. I start driving the vehicle home and the touch screen was not working so I ended up texting AJ to let her know. She ends up telling me she used the vehicle this morning and it was "fine" but still asked me to bring in the vehicle since I insisted to tell her it wasn't working. Took a day off to be able to fix the issue and it turns out they need to take it to their Hyundai dealership to get it checked. 1 hour later I end up being told I need to bring back the car yet again for a replacement since they needed to order the part. I waited about 3 weeks to bring back the car to the Hyundai dealership because the part was still not there. I finally get my radio replaced which took another 2 hours of wait time and now my headlights are no longer working. I live about 35+ minutes away as it is and took days off just to fix the problems that should've been dealt with to begin with. Now I'm at the dealership again waiting to get the issue fixed. I had a family member thinking of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership due to the "deal" I received but I will no longer have them come in. I've already wasted time money and miles coming back and fourth. Also, if anyone decides to purchase gap insurance DO NOT purchase from any dealership because they charge way more than if you decide to purchase through your credit union or wherever you financed it from. read more

Zero stars if at all possible. I really dislike giving bad reviews as it is a reflection of my naive mistake. First and foremost what it comes down to is respect. I get it. Selling used cars (and anything to do with cars in general) is a business. I was shown a used car (2012) that obviously had some wear and tear, cosmetically and mileage-wise. I was not shown a Carfax report (they told me to look online) nor did the vehicle come with a manual. For the price, seeing that there wasn't anything wrong with it, the deal seemed fair. I am no mechanic of course, and did as thorough of an inspection as I possibly could. They gave me 3 days to bring it back. When I asked why the car hadn't sold they gave me some BS about lot rental fees. During my 2.5 days with the car, hoping it would be mine for years to come (because I really did like it), I did what I felt was right and took it to an honest mechanic in my neighborhood who told me the car was in an accident that wasn't reported and showed me why. He also said that what I agreed to pay was unjust unless they were willing to fix the damages and necessary upkeep before handing over the car. Drove all the way back to Corona to meet with the irrational and irate Ray who insulted and disrespected not only me but also my boyfriend who had been a witness to the whole transaction. After looking over the contract a little more closely, I found that they also had charged me a fee for an electronic vehicle which the car was not. Surely there were some other arbitrary charges too, like how they tried to upsell me on a "shadow mark" security device for $500+ when I could get my own security device for much less. I was completely transparent in providing a document from the mechanic stating everything wrong with the car. I didn't have to do that but I did. I made it very clear that there were many things wrong with it (roughly $3K in repairs), offered to demonstrate/ point them out, kept cool, did not make a scene and kept my voice down in front of other customers, and simply kept stating that I wanted my money back. While providing me with support of facts that I skipped over in the moment, Ray rudely interrupted then demanded that my boyfriend shut up and condescendingly asked him what his purpose in being there was. Duh, to help me in this exact situation where some wild salesman decided to yell at me for exercising my right to return a junk car. To make matters worse, on top of yelling at me and making me feel threatened, Ray fashioned some kind of print-out "report" on my mechanic (reviews from local SFV dealerships) who obviously isn't liked by car dealerships because he is honest and thorough. So he wasted paper on a report that made me laugh out loud, but couldn't waste paper on a Carfax. He said that I ruined his opportunity to do business. That is wrong, I did not. I offered him the option to fix the car. The bottom line is, a Mazda dealership (new or used, or both) should maintain a certain quality of standard. Cardinale Way Mazda has no standards, apparently. I know this because they shoved me out the door with a car priced above/at KBB prices with $3K~ needed in repairs. Disgusting! It was a learning experience for sure. I'm not much of a haggler and I actually hate arguing, but I am not an idiot and the treatment we received implied such. I mean really.. What kind of business believes yelling at a person will make them want to keep a substandard car? You guys wanted your glossy review from a professional writer, well here it is. This Mazda dealership actually HONORED their agreement (made over the phone) to sell me whatever 2016 Mazda 3 i Sport Automatic I wanted in stock, in almost any color I chose, for an astonishingly low price that NO ONE could possibly match, much less beat. Within seconds of arriving on their lot and greeting the salesperson I spoke with over the phone, I was happily picking out my new car and color, waiting in the lobby sipping hot chocolate, surfing the web and watching the World Series while they prepared two financial options for me to choose from ($200 down or no cash down). I passed through the finance gal's office (where she threw at me various proposals I pre-emptively and summarily rejected) and was out of there and done prontito! No hassles, no haggling whatsoever! (I've had more trouble buying a loaf of bread and jug of milk at the store!) It was (almost) the easiest car-buying experience I've ever had. (A no-brainer. The car was a total steal at that price!) I got a brand-new 2016 Mazda 3 i Sport Automatic out the door for...well, I won't spoil ALL their business by telling you what I paid...but I drove out of there putting NO MONEY DOWN. In fact, they sold me the car of my choice for $50 LESS than they promised (plus about 10% for tax, license, DMV and doc fees)! Love the car! Sipping gas (38.5 mpg!) all the way home! I drove off the lot with only 5 miles on the odometer. Not "zippy" by any means...unlike the 2.5 L...which is a thrill to drive in the Mazda 3! But class, styling and impeccable handling make up for much and I have no complaints. This wasn't just a "low" pressure car-buying experience. This was a NO pressure car-buying experience. Found what looked like an amazing deal on TrueCar. The TrueCar certificate stated the car was available for a certain price at this dealership. Guess I should have known it was too good to be true. After setting up a test drive, I called the dealership to make sure it was the car I wanted. Classic bait-and-switch.... the car advertised on TrueCar was a totally different version of the model (SV) than what the dealership actually had (S Plus). So I called the dealership, and we haggled(good), and agreed on a price this black friday. We were looking to buy a 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback, fully loaded. I dealt with Franklin, one of the sales team, who appeared to be a solid citizen. We drove over 70 miles. As we entered the sales area, the car was in the shop having the battery charged. Not a bad sign, but not a good one. My wife and I walked around the car and noticed a small area on the driver side door handle which was missing paint. Franklin said that they would repaint it, and not to worry. Then my wife test drove the car, loved it, and we sat down for the final paperwork. Franklin said he needed to talk with the sales manager regarding the paint. When he came back he then disclosed that the driver side door had been repaired already, due to an "Accident". It was then I stated, "Why on earth did you not tell me this fact prior to coming down here"? I asked to speak to the sales manager who of course told me, "Well that's why your getting such a good deal". I asked to see pictures of the damage, he refused and told me it was minor. When I asked to see the insurance claim, he only stated it was for $1200.00. I again reiterated that I should have been told about this issue prior to driving down, and thought their tactic of having me drive over 70 miles to try and sell me a damaged car was wrong. Worst experience I've ever had buying a car and I've bought 4 cars prior to this. Not sure if they have anyone else in their finance department but stay away from Robert the finance manager. Adds extended warranty and gap without telling us. When we go back to get it fixed he says that by adding that it lowered our APR a point. No where in the deal did he mention that. They took it off and our APR stayed the same. He was rude and yelled and screamed at my wife because we caught him in the act of.. In his own words.. "Raping people with extended warranties." Don't purchase your Mazda here. I met Katelyn Clermont the dealer who sold me my Cx-5 on 2/8/2018. I applied for the loyalty rebate since my fiance purchase a Mazda back in 2012. Five days after I signed my contract I was told via e-mail that I would need to provide my permanent resident card or green card. By the way, I'm a natural born US citizen. I was insulted by their unprofessionalism and prejudice. I showed residency documents reflecting this on the day I purchase my vehicle. On 2/14/2018 I received a notice of contract cancellation. The reason was not that of my status as an American it was because of the loyalty rebate. The loyalty rebate is only $500.00 off, which is only .16 % off the total cost of the vehicle. I e-mailed the proof of registration to Paulina and was never informed of this notice. My experience with this dealership was horrible. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP ENTIRELY!!!! read more

I would avoid this dealer at all costs. It was the worst car buying experience ever. Usually when you buy a new car you sign they give you the keys and you're on your way. Nope, not here. I went on Memorial Day and the car I wanted was not on the lot, they told me they would have it by the time we were done with paperwork. Hours later, paperwork has been signed and still no car. Finally the guy comes back and says so we are just going to give you a rental and deliver the car later today. They texted me saying they were picking up the car at 6pm, an hour later he says the car won't be delivered until a little past 8pm. Then he texts me at 9pm saying another 20 minutes. He did not get there until after 9:30pm!!!! When I asked where the finance agreement, he had no idea I never got it. He said he would overnight it. Then the next morning I go to work and realize there is no registration in or on the car. I call them up irritated and she assures me it will be overnighted. Wednesday comes and I still do not have anything, and now I am frustrated. He sends me a photo saying he doesn't know what happened to the package then I ask the him what should I tell the cops if I get pulled over since I have no proof of owning the vehicle? No response. I finally get it Thursday. I try contacting them to find out about a navigation chip and the avas system, they call back and hang up on me. 9 days later, I get a letter saying they are cancelling the contract because they could not assign the contract to a financial institution and I am to return the vehicle immediately. Now I am furious, the number I was given to contact the representative was a fax number. My dad had to email the same girl who has been ignoring him because they promised us In n Out and did not get it for us. They finally respond saying its standard to send out the notice after 10 days but that they figured it out. UNACCEPTABLE! How do they do business this way?! JORGE ZEPEDA who is the Internet Sales Director but the dealership called him their "Sales Manager" is the reason for my 1 star rating. I will never go back because of this guy. I went in yesterday on 9/23/17 and was planning on purchasing a car through them. I first spoke with AJ, who is the Internet Sales Manager, and she was the absolute sweetest. I could tell she wanted to work with me and wanted to get me into the best car possible. Once I got my trade in appraised, Jorge tried to low ball me on my 2012 Ford Focus, $2258 to be exact. Which is absolutely absurd. I told him no and from there things just kept getting worse. He did not want to work with me and told me that he appreciated my efforts of negotiating but that wasn't how it worked anymore. I was treated like trash and he made me feel inferior. Since he clearly did not want to work with me I told him very politely that if he was firm on my trade in that I did not want to waste anymore time, and I got up. Jorge Zepeda, which is once again the "SALES MANAGER", did not have the professionalism to even give me a handshake and just walked away and ignored me. My wife and I were in the market for a new SUV and we came to Cardinale Mazda to look at and test drive a CX-9. We were met by Jeanette Maciel who was very helpful and friendly. A couple days later, I emailed Jeanette to see if she would be able to get us a CX-9 in a specific color and trim. Given the circumstances, and past experiences with dealers, I was very reluctant to proceed but she convinced me to give her an opportunity. Well, not only were they able to get us the exact vehicle that we wanted but they stayed true to the original quote without trying to sneak in additional costs. excellent customer service. jt welcomed me and my guest with a starbucks of our choice and was able to match another dealerships offer right away. the process was very quick and phil knew a lot about the cars. both phil and mike did not try to sell me on anything and gave me exactly what i asked for without any pressure. it took about 2 hours to complete the deal and i drove away with my new car. while we were waiting for the car to be cleaned they even offered us pizza. they were amazing and i would come back again. read more
