I ended up getting the za'atar grilled cheese which was so good especially pipping hot. My friend got the halloumi sandwich which was also really tasty and I would say is perfect if you're more hungry. While I don't drink coffee, I did take a sip of the tiramisu coffee and I don't know how they did it, but it really does taste like tiramisu. There was a definite mascarpone flavor that emerged from the foam that was placed on top. This is a great cafe if you're looking for a bit and some coffee or maybe even a pastry. Their pastry case looked so good, I was definitely tempted to pick some items up including their pistachio croissant and cookies.

i'm writing this review about a year after trying mintish for the first time…read more i first discovered it before its opening. a friend sent me a post on their instagram account that was just a 'coming soon' post. from the images, i couldn't determine where it was opening, the only thing i knew is that it would be opening in capitol hill. i was ecstatic to see a palestinian coffee shop not only coming to seattle, but also to the neighbourhood that i was soon moving to. i first tried mintish with a friend. it wasn't long after their opening. the staff were extremely friendly. the inside was bustling, but the inside is decorated so nicely. levantine art on the walls, references to the keys back to palestine, and fairuz playing over the speakers... the joy i felt was unmatched. i probably made a fool of myself telling them how happy and excited i was to see a levantine coffee joint in my neighbourhood! to celebrate the occasion, i got an iced levantine latte with a knafeh cheesecake. it's definitely one of the best lattes i've ever had, period. my friend and i stored the cheesecake for later, but it was still delicious! now, as long as i'm in town, i'm there usually once a week on average. i switch between the levantine and demasc lattes -- they're both too good. everything on this menu is a hit, you truly can't go wrong, including the food. i'll order that labneh avocado toast when i'm wanting a snack, or take a cheesecake to go when my sweet tooth is calling. if you're visiting seattle and capitol hill is on the list, mintish is a must-stop. it is a story of palestinian success and excellence.

Staff was nice and kind and I ordered a matcha latte. They added vanilla sweetener and did a basic matcha design and it was a pretty solid latte all things considered. I asked for a for here cup for the pretty display and staff agreed kindly. When it comes to a work cafe there are some essentials. There is a very large bathroom in the back which is always a huge plus. The WiFi here can be a bit slow but there are also 2-3 different WiFi networks to pick from so one of them is bound to be decent. I would note that this cafe does lack outlets but I was able to locate a single plug near the back. There is a table for you to get and refill ice water near the center of the cafe. Overall top tier work cafe to take a quick meeting or just grind out a few assignments. They have seated tables and also standing bar tables based on your preferences. Will be coming back next time in Seattle .

They don't roast beans themselves, but source from various popular roasters like Idle Hands (from SLC) and Olympia (local to Seattle). POUR OVER - Price varies I tried two different pour overs during my visits: an Idle Hands Colombian that was on the pricier side and another more standard-priced light roast. Both were great! Each cup was well-extracted with a great bean-to-water ratio, allowing the fruity flavors of each coffee to shine. SQUASH HARVEST BREAD This made a great breakfast. It was moist and nutty with a subtle squash sweetness that was delicious. BLUEBERRY SCONE Very buttery with each bite packed with blueberries. Pretty standard scone, but I enjoyed it. The cafe itself has plenty of seating, and I was able to find a table on both visits (Sunday and Monday morning). Overall, Milstead became one of my favorite coffee shops in Seattle. Coffee was great across both visits, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm back.

Their signature Panela Latte is an absolute must-try and my go too but you can't go wrong with a classic latte from here. Their drinks are always consistent and not overly sweet. I love open space and the natural lighting that comes. The cafe does however tend to get crowded so most of the time I've had to take my drink to go. If you are able to get a seat I think it's a great place to get your work done as the cafe has a very relaxed environment.

Other deets: WiFi available, limited outlets. Coffee beans are from Fulcrum. Street parking & on Metro bus 2 route. Caffe Vita is down the street (healthy competition). Savory quiche was a bit unwieldy despite being provided an actual fork. It is shallow in height, eggy of course with tiny cubes of ham. I was onsite for nearly 90 minutes. It was a plus to see the counter staff be very welcoming and well informed. It was just me, several takeouts, and curious neighborhood inquiries initially. But as time went on, more folks chose to remain onsite to dine, have convos, and to read. Not a laptop in sight. Solid 4 to 4.5 stars, rounded to a 5. Pleasant corner cafe with French flair and quality!
