Lots of gluten free options when we went. They were pretty cleaned out of everything! We did show up 20 min before closing. Husband loved it all. Boston cream cupcake, brownie w Carmel, ginger cookies (i loved these)!

Peanut butter cookie, eat with a drink

Little local (vegan!) baked good shop with a heavy emphasis on Scandanavian goods like semlor and rye breads. I was surprised by the varieties of both sweet and savory goods. I did end up getting the semla, which as a little dense and dry at the same time but the cream was so, so good. The chocolate on the peanut butter cookie I got tasted as good as it looked: delicious, but very melty. I really appreciate a cute spot like this that's located within walking distance of the train station. A great hangout spot/shop to grab a picnic snack.

What an amazing spot! Great location right in front of a cute park. Staff were so friendly, even had some furry pets in there who were adorable. Everything we got was fantastic. Savory- the biscuit sandwich is so unique and bursting with flavors like cheezy, plant based protein, pesto, and a perfectly cooked biscuit Sweet- We got cupcakes, cookies, peanut butter bites, snickerdoodle cookie was great! More savory- sausage rolls, a Smorga which was very authentic! Our first time trying Scandinavian food. 1000% recommend to support this local shop! They cook with love you can taste it

I specifically asked for a Heart shaped cake when placing my order last week on Thursday 11/20. I was told the job could be done and picked up today 11/26. When I pick up the cake, it looks nothing like a heart shaped. When i complained about the cake i was told by their manager that everyone in the bakery believes this looks like a heart and its all about one artist eye vs another artists eye. When it comes to shapes, there is no such thing as an artist eye. Its a shape. If i said to think of a circle you wouldnt think of a triangle Another thing was the finish of the cake as well, the icing was not smooth, pretty rugged if you ask me and she told me its not possible to be smooth. I've seen cakes have smooth finishes so thats not true Lastly, the manager told me i rushed them in making this cake because i placed the order so last minute, i didnt realize giving you 6 full days was rushing you I'll include pictures of the cake I received and what a heart shaped cake really looks like

Ask the Community - Carina's Bakery

Do you have Finnish Rye Bread?

They had a pumpernickel rye bread and I was quite excited. But it was gluten free and not what I considered "real pumpernickel". They had Swedish cardamom rolls which were delicious.

    Do you make pumpernickel bread?

Hi, James! We bake gluten-free pumpernickel bread, yes. Please call the bakery at (503) 339-3187 to order in advance.

Hej! Vad kostar en medium princess tårta?

Hej! The cost of a 6 inch princess cake would be $60, an 8 inch would be $80. Tak så mycket!

Do you have non-vegan options as well?

Hi Michael! Thank you for your question. All of our food is made 100% vegan. Carina's Bakery does not use dairy, eggs, or soy ingredients, but I have many non-vegan friends who enjoy our treats! There are all kinds of sweet and savory options.…

What is the Beaverton Restaurant Week Special?

    Do you make cannolis?

I'm sorry, we currently do not offer cannolis, as we are a Swedish - themed bakery.

There was ample seating to suit every mood (table and chairs, comfy chairs, and comfy sofas with plenty of outlets and side tables). There's a fun and fresh local artist goods shop tucked in the front corner. It's a perfect place to find a gift for yourself or others. The menu is a nerdy dream come true. When we visited a couple of weeks ago in May, the themed drinks were Lord of the Rings and Mario. I had the Gondor, which, if I recall, may have had hazelnut and cinnamon. I DO recall that it was delish. I forgot what drink my daughter ordered, but she enjoyed it as well. I look forward to coming back and trying their London Fog, which is one of my favorite drinks and seems to have significant praise from other reviewers. We didn't get an opportunity to try the food, but look forward to in the future. One refreshing surprise is that this is a no-tip establishment. I don't recall what I paid for the drinks, but I appreciate places that charge what they need to make their business work and to (hopefully) pay their employees a living wage. Brickhaus is rooted in community and belonging, and I am here for it!

One thing that caught me off guard was that there wasn't a traditional menu posted. As a first-time visitor, I wasn't sure what coffee options, blends, or milk choices were available. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy, and the employee working was incredibly patient, friendly, and happy to walk me through everything. Customer service like that goes a long way. My drink was excellent, and the sneaker design printed on top of the coffee was such a cool touch. It's one of those little details that makes the experience memorable and fits perfectly with the brand. Whether you're a sneakerhead, a coffee lover, or both, Deadstock Coffee is worth checking out. The breakfast burrito was also delicious. I added sausage, Guac, and mushrooms. It would've been a 10/10 if left off the mushrooms. The burger tasted precooked, not a lot of flavor, just ok. The fries were fresh and hot, and seasoned perfectly. Another good experience at this incredible sneaker-themed coffee shop not too far from Nike. Definitely go for the coffee, you'll love it.

I've tried both the ube coconut latte and the black sesame latte, each made with plant-based milk instead of regular milk. The ube coconut latte was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The black sesame latte, however, was the standout for me. It had a rich, nutty flavor and is hands-down my favorite of the two. I don't believe it's a regular menu item, so if you happen to see it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Loro is on the pricier side, which is why I don't visit as often as I'd like, but I genuinely think it's worth it. The quality of the food and drinks makes it feel like a special treat. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the parking. The café is tucked between apartments and other retail spaces, so street parking is your only option. I've had to circle the block several times before finding a spot, making it less convenient if you're driving. Parking aside, this is a charming neighborhood coffee shop that consistently serves flavorful food and thoughtfully crafted drinks. If you're looking to treat yourself to an exceptional breakfast sandwich and a beautifully made latte, Loro Coffee is well worth the visit.

Any respectable coffee shop should know what temperature a latte should be served at. The customer can't hold a latte served at 160 degrees without a sleeve. Also, scalding breaks down the proteins burns the lactose, turning natural sweetness into bitter flavors. I am not sure if it's a training issue or a lack of desire!? But one bite in and it was clear it hadn't been warmed. When I mentioned it wasn't fresh, the staff defended it saying it was made the night before. Exactly my point -- if it was made the night before, warm it up. Even Starbucks does that. It was dense, cold, and not enjoyable at all. The coffee I ordered extra hot, and it wasn't. Within a few sips it was already lukewarm. That's a basic request that should be easy to get right. The atmosphere is okay visually, but it's packed with laptop workers and there's barely any space to sit and relax. People treat this place like a co-working space and give you stares if your kid makes any noise. It's a coffee shop, not a library or an office. And the tip screen before you even taste anything? Hard pass on that concept. I carry cash and I tip based on actual experience -- that's how it should work. Service was polite but dismissive when there was a real complaint. Probably won't be back.
