Amazing burger place! I am very happy with being able to eat at a fast food burger place seeing how I can eat very limited amount of fast food due to my food allergies. I order their low carb natural burger and it is very tasty. Price is reasonable, too. Went back today and had a tasty grilled chicken salad. One thing we have always liked about this place is that is always so clean. Today one of the staff members were cleaning the ceiling vents! That is awesome. Ordered a beyond beef burger and it was a meat patty. I checked before taking a bite. That mistake could make someone really sick.

They don't seem to be answering their phone anymore. I've called several times over the last two weeks to find out what their hours are what with the stay-at-home orders, and the phone just rings and rings... I'm going to assume they're open "typical" hours and head out there tonight, and I hope the lack of answering is because they're too busy cooking. Aside from the phone issues, this is my go-to location, and the food they serve is fine. March 6, 2022 1130am So we went there again for lunch, $32 bucks for 2 medium size combo meals, $32 WTF ??? Had to check out the receipt to make sure I was charged correctly, I was, sad that 2 combo meals cost so much nowadays... Overall, meal was good, guess My only complaint was my soda had more ice than soda ... But we sat in the rear of the restaurant and could see if cars were coming into the drive thur as well as leaving and we sat there eating our food and for the 20 minutes that we were there, not one car came into Carl's Jr, WTF??? Maybe after we left, it got busy, let's hope so but we thought it was weird, not one during the time we sat there ... Let's hope they're busy during the week ? Let's hope they too dont close their doors like the one in Covington, that was our favorite one, we always enjoyed going to that one and was in shock when they closed their doors ... Anyway, good luck Carl's Jr, please don't close and make us go to Tacoma, I might as say, Carl's Jr is dead to me because that place has the worst service around... My family does not eat red meat, we haven't for several years now. We ordered the chicken sandwich (#13) which does not have bacon on it. When we got home, of course, there was bacon. Absolutely disgusting, we don't support the consumption of red meat and it is really annoying that they did not pay attention to what we wanted. On top of that, they charged us for the bacon!!!! Finally, they originally messed up my order so it took me twice as long in the drive thru than it normally should have and they STILL didn't get my order right and overcharged. Came here at 10:15 ordered a chicken sandwich fries and a 5 piece chicken strip. Was told they are out of medium cups . No big deal we paid the up charge . Get to the window the manger says they don't serve chicken strips until 10:30. Would have been nice to know when we were ordering. We say ok we will wait until 10:30 and come back around . She says ok we get back to order at 10:31 . The guy says they aren't serving chicken strips at all. The serve is so slow that we got stuck in the line not getting any food for over 15mins. So my FIL decided to pick up some CJs for everyone yesterday. It was simple, 2 doublebacon cheeseburgers, a western with jalepenos, and a chicken sandwhich, all combos, 1 w/ sweet potatoe fries. We got 3 westerns, and a chicken tender sandwich, 3 fries (should have been 4) that were cold and hard, and honestly, I don't know what I liked more... The soda, or the end of the meal. The burgers have a sort of overcharred flavor to it, but no real flavor otherwise. Even with onions and peppers on my sammich, you still could only really taste the BBQ sauce. The burgers were barely eaten, the fries barely touched, but the drinks, gone. I won't even bother placing an order at this "restaurant" again. If you grew up in backyard TJ (that's Tijuana for those not in the know) you grew up with delicious taco shops and Carl's Jr. Carl's Jr. was the place to go, it was a step above McDonald's and Burger King when it came to hamburgers; but thanks to In-N-Out Burger I stopped eating burgers and again Carl's Jr. was the place to go, the variety of chicken sandwiches was head and shoulders above all the other fast food places around. So when I moved up to Seattle and there were no Carl's Jr let along tasty taco shops I was saddened. That is until now I found a Carl's Jr in Renton, thanks to yelp. It opened in September and this past weekend GBF#1, more of a Carl's Jr lover than I am, and myself made the trek to Renton to enjoy some Carl's Jr goodness. After getting a bit lost we finally found it, the place was busy but not too busy. One BBQ chicken sandwich and criss cut fries for me, one Santa Fe chicken sandwich and chili cheese fries for GBF#1. He loved his, I didn't really love my BBQ chicken sandwich it didn't taste like a backyard TJ Carl's Jr BBQ chicken sandwich but you know what it was better than nothing. Next time I'm getting the Santa Fe chicken sandwich that one was always my favorite. Now if only Seattle could get a Rubio's I'd be one happy skinny fat betch. read more

And I ate this all a half hour before my bedtime. I did not feel good the next day. And I beat myself about it. But I swear if I ever ended up in this situation, I'd fall for it again. Online it says they close at midnight on a sat and it says the same here. Not sure if they changed their hours but we got there at 11pm and they were closed.... If you change your hours you should list the correct ones everywhere. Just good business practice to do that. read more

I want to like this location. The people are nice, but so inefficient something must be done. I don't like drive thru's, preferring to go inside. This location continues to put drive thru customers first, ignoring counter customers when busy. Today, it took 3 minutes to even be acknowledged, " just a moment sir" as she takes another drive thru order. She preps a drive thru order as I wait. She delivers that order, and then proceeded to take another drive thru order. What.about me? At least get my order in the queue so the cook can get started on it. I Never Give a 1 Star to a Restaurant Especially since they accepted the "emailed one day only BOGO coupon" for their new 1/2 lb Mile High Burger. I ordered it there last Monday without nitrate/nitrite bacon, it was two for one, but still cost about $7-8 for one burger. They called it Black Angus, I'd call it food with toxins. They advertised on the coupon a 1/2 lb and believe me, wasn't 1/3rd lb in size either....meaning I wasn't full just eating one [I ate both]. Even half price $3.5-4 for a fast food burger is no bargain. I basically eat only one meal a day, so can easily trace the food with toxins in it....those over-priced burgers. 6-8 hours later the upset stomache woke me up with acid and it didn't go away for 12 hours. It totally disrupted my sleep all night and I'll never eat at this Carl Jrs's again. read more

I love Carl's Jr. Grew up on it. And will frequent their franchises when I get the chance or in mood for famous star. But this location's service is terrible. People are polite but location is fairly disorganized and way understaffed. They seem consistently overwhelmed by usual customer traffic. Wait times are unacceptably long whether or not at counter or drive thru. There was only one car ahead of me today in drive thru. I waited 20 min to get to window even after they took order. Even when I pulled up, I couldn't pay immediately or get food. I could see there was a line of people at the counter inside. Few people just walked out after waiting. I had the same experience 2 weeks ago for dine in. They were preferentially serving drive thru and I spent forever waiting for my dine in order. They lost my order. So that's why I tried drive thru today. But no luck. I would avoid this place during peak hours or if you are in a rush. Otherwise food is standard Carl's Jr fare. Not out of ordinary. read more

Solid "eh." I would put it right on par with the King as far as taste. It wasn't bad, just not spectacular. I had a $6 burger, and it was basically at least a half pound of beef and better quality toppings. I would opt for a regular burger. I was happy to eat fried zucchini though, they gave a large portion and they were pretty good. Location is shiny and new and workers were out in the dining area maintaining cleanliness, which was a welcome surprise. I think next time I will get chicken stars and a shake. Not OMG amazing, but I am not a native Californian and I think that's a lot of its appeal. Now if we got an In-n-Out, however.......... it's always good to dream. To say this place was obnoxious and offensive would be an understatement! My companion had an allergy to onions and told them as much and they still made his sandwich to onions. They made his sandwich with onions. He brought his sandwich back to them and informed them of the issue and the proceeded to take his sandwich in back peeled off the onions with the intent to represent it to him. He informed them that it was cross contaminated and had to be remade. It took them nearly 15 minutes to remake the sandwich. The sandwich they gave him was not even the sandwich he had originally ordered! The whole time we were "treated" to on the employees blasting obscene music on his cell phone (without headphones). For a fast food burger..this is as good as it gets. The prices are the same as any fast food place, but you get a burger proportionate to Red Robins. I went here with my bf and we got 2 Jalepeno burgers, 1 with a meal:substituted with a chili fry, and medium drink, and it didn't even go over 10bucks and we were stuffed. The service here is also super nice! Not only are they friendly, but they bring the food to you, and even come and check up on you once in your meal to make sure that everything is going alright. And in some cases, they'll even clean up your tray when you're done eating. Does it get any better? Oh...and don't go to the Marysville one. I tried that recently and it's horrible! the burgers look old/soggy, they don't put any sauce on their burgers, and the service sucks and they don't know what they're doing. But since my wife is from Cali she loves eating here. We even moved closer to come eat this more often lol. No joke. The first visit: 5 stars, hell yes! This place is fantastic. The food was great, the employees were fast and though a little expensive, the burgers are pretty big so I don't mind. The second visit: 4 stars, I get the fish burger and it just pretty much sucks. The fish is rubbery and tastes the same. Starting to get frustrated with the menu, it seems you can't get anything small here, it's $7+ for a giant burger or nothing at all. The drive-thru guy neglects to put the top on my boyfriends drink so when I hand it to him he grabs it by the top and it explodes all over him and the seats of my brand new car. I have to wave and knock on the window to get napkins, which the guy provided, but did not offer to replace the drink. Oh well. The third visit: 3 Stars, Boyfriend brings food home this time, for some reason I decide on the fish burger again. Just as bad as last time. Seriously: Ew. He has ordered the bacon cheeseburger, no sauce. Yay, they got it right, no sauce! Only.... no meat either. HOW DO YOU FORGET TO PUT A PATTY ON A BURGER? *sigh* It seems like this particular Carls is developing a history of mediocrity. Loved it at first, am going to avoid it now. Too bad... As mentioned in other reviews, the parking is really tight. There's that fabulous wine shop, an Ezell's and a newly opened sushi place sharing about 50 spots. Good luck on that account. Plus, the drive-thru for some strange reason is at a 90 degree angle to the parking lot, about 15 feet from the street, strange designing there... I went through the drive thru last night and ordered one of the all star meals, which comes with a regular drink, where I ordered a coke. I go up to the window and the guy tries to hand me a coke in a kids size cup. I asked if it was a regular size and he responds that they're out of regular size cups. I then questioned why I was paying for a regular if he's giving me a small. He takes the cup back and motions through the window if a large cup will work. I nodded with approval as the window is shut. He then gives me the large cup, not even filled halfway with coke. Then he hands me the small cup from before and says I might as well take that one too. I don't understand why he was being so petty with the soda when they offer free refills inside. I don't understand why they would try to fool their customers by giving them less than what they paid for in the first place. read more

Just like any other fast-food burger joint. I love that they have the option of going bun-less and wrapping your burger in lettuce. But They put wayyyyyy to much hefty lettuce and its really not that great. They brought back the country breakfast burrito the last time I went in, so I decided to give it a try. I spied the big yellow star about a month ago and wondered if it was really going to be a Carl's Junior. In fact it was. I mean, is. Carl's Junior opened on 4th Street in the Renton Highlands in Mid-September. It is light and bright and decorated in kind-of an updated 1950's diner style. Tres cute. The burgers are flame broiled - but in a higher quality way than Burger King. The kids meals look really cute - chicken stars! There are also a wide variety of hand scooped shakes and naturally cut fries. I haven't tried either of these - but they sure looked tasty! Not that Renton needs another fast food place. It really really doesn't - but this addition seems welcome. It is clean, well placed, and seems to have a somewhat different menu from many of the other joints. read more

The staff seem eager to be here, are helpful and quick, and the food tastes pretty good for not a lot of coin. In a tough economy, it's nice to have a burger joint alternative to Red Robin that doesn't result in forcing you to visit the arches or the home of a psycho foam-headed royal or a ping pong ball head on 'roids. The parking lot is a bit tight with few available spaces - especially on a Wednesday night when the nearby wine shop in the same nouveaux strip mall has FREE WINE TASTINGS! Carl's jr has always been a favorite burger place of mine while I was growing up in san Diego. There was one just down the street from my parents home and I use to stop in there once a week. This Carl's jr reminded me of my childhood Carl's Jr. Even down to the Hispanic employees making the food there. Ilana was the cashier when I walk into the restaurant this afternoon. She greeted me as she finish taking the previous order. There was a few people in front of me, but she got thru them pretty quickly. I had my order place within 3 minutes of walking into the restaurants even with 4 people ahead of me. I had my order 6 minutes later. Not bad, considering my large order. Kitchen crew and manager on duty was a little loud. If they were going to talk smack about customers, they need to lower their voices so they can't be heard in the lobby. Food was just as I remember them to be. I had the el Diablo burger and it was excellent. The fries hasn't change since I last had them 13 years ago. Onions ring was crisp and tasty. Moving here from Nevada where a CJ's is on every corner, I hated haing to be in the Covington area to get some star nuggets. But oh man when I saw the 'Opening soon" sign I almost cried. I had to call my brother. The burgers here are always good to me and the staff that they hired were extremely nice and efficient.
