I'm not really a big fan of fast food in general, but when I get the craving I tend to head down the street to Carl's Jr. I usually go through the drive through and have been lucky to not been stuck in much of a line. They tend to be a bit slow, but it's worth it. I'd rather have my food cooked the way I order it and fresh versus waiting under a heat lamp for who knows how long. I'm a pushover for a good crispy chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, the really good ones are few and far between. I knew that Carl's Jr. has a Crispy Chicken Club so for the first time in years, I made the 12 mile trip to the only Carl's Jr. in the area. Ya, I know that's kinda crazy. But it gets better. When I got to the drive up I and ordered, the lady taking the order wasn't hearing real good. So I repeated Crispy Chicken Club until she got it right. Three times in fact. And I clearly heard her say back Crispy Chicken Club combo twice during the process. When I got to the window to pay the $12.91 and as she hands me the bag, she says again Crispy Chicken Club combo. I said thanks and drove to a spot a few minutes away so I could enjoy the reward for a long annoying drive while my food was still HOT AND CRISPY! As I drove the three or four minutes, I was thinking about the fact that for what this meal cost me in time and money, I could have stayed home and grilled a Ribeye Steak with a smothered baked potato and beer! But Nope. I was craving that Crispy Chicken Sandwich. So here I am. Halfway through a sandwich that is so dried out and chewy that I can't even finish it. And the fries? Well they must have been RE-fries. Because they were kinda burnt and barely warm. But the best part of this whole experience? No Crispy Chicken. In fact, there was nothing about this meal that was even remotely crispy. I remember reading a while back about how Carl's and Hardees were in decline and closing stores across the country. I can see why. They are serving crap. Unlike Their main competition who always have lines of hungry loyal customers, IN N OUT Burger, Carl's decided that cutting quality and raising prices could compensate for a loss of customers. Personally I just don't understand how they can expect to remain profitable when they serve leftover garbage. Especially for these prices. When I was traveling to California often, my main stop was Carl's Jr since there was none near by. I didn't plan to drive to Tacoma or Portland. Well, now it's just a couple miles away, OF COURSE IMMA HIT THIS JOINT UP!! I'm not sure if it's appropriate to yelp a fast food joint since it's not gonna be much different from any other. But I gotta let people know how much I enjoy these six dollar burgers. When I first heard about it, I thought whether or not a burger should even be six dollars. I mean that's six dollar menu burgers plus tax right?! Well, when i got my first, I was hooked. No complaints. After working on my car for a few hours, I decided I need to drive out and grab a burger. I definitely deserved it!! I got the guacamole bacon burger this time, but my favorite is the western. I didn't go inside and isntead went to the drive thru. There were a couple cars in front of me, so I ended up waiting maybe 10 minutes or so. No biggie. Carl's Jr is slightly more expensive than regualr fast food places like McD's but it's decent. I had their chicken strips and they area actually pretty decent although I did not care much for the BBQ sauce...I used used my own from home. My other complaint is they seem to be a little bit slower than other fast food joints, but againt he food is pretty alright for fast food so it's not actually too bad. read more

LOVE this place. One of my favorite fast food burger joints. It's kind of far from where I live, but I like coming here every once in a while. I usually order the famous star or western bacon cheeseburger. I usually go order through the drive thru so I can't comment on the inside. It looks the same as every other Carl's Jr. I've been to. These are the guys that sell you the Six Dollar Burger for $5.99. That is like getting a burger at a discount 7 days a week! I was excited to see these guys come to town a few years ago. From childhood I remember CJ's as being the only spot that could give the whopper a run and their fries where also just as tasty as Mickey D's. I very rarely eat fast food these days. If I do decide to go for a quick greasy gut bomb, Carl's Jr. is on the short list of places I will hit up. I've been to this location a handful of times over the last however many years it has been here. I'm still surprised how many of my friends didn't even know it existed, if they knew about the chain, or have never even heard of the chain. What I notice the most about Carl's Jr. each and every time, no matter the location...super friendly employees. They smile, they're friendly, they bring you your food and clean up the tables, and even come around to check on you. Almost makes you forget you're eating at a national fast food chain. Honestly this is by far the most superior fast food burger place in all of Renton Highlands. Much better than lame J.I.T.B. who doesn't treat customers right, often gets orders wrong, etc etc. The staff here really go out of their way to ensure that your order(s) are 100% accurate, fast, fresh, and piping hot. Coming from the Midwest, we grew up with Hardee's. Their food is better quality compared to other fast food chains. Carl's Jr menu items are pretty much the same, but it is missing the hubby's fave breakfast sandwich, the Loaded Omelet Biscuit. Hubby asked if they could make it (apparently, another Carl's Jr somewhere in WA shut him down). Brant, who was taking our order, said he could try. Hubby was ecstatic. Our food came, and Brant came by to check on us. He asked how they did on the sandwich. Hubby gave 2 thumbs up. Thank you to the staff at Carl's Jr and Brant for the great customer service!!! I'll be honest. The commercials hooked me. I came by for lunch one day and just went to the drive thru. No one was there- perfect! They had their regular menu and their $5 deals. I decided to try their $5 deal with the cheeseburger, hot dog, fries, a cookie, and a soft drink. I also ordered the fried zucchini. The service didn't take too long. It was just a few minutes at the window. The burger was just like any other fast food burger, but smaller of course since its part of their special. The hot dog was just a plain dog in a squished bun... there were no condiments offered either. I totally spaced and didn't asked for any. Maybe I thought it came with some... The best thing about the meal was the fried zucchini order! It had a nice crunchy coating on the outside, and it wasn't slimy or overly greasy! I've had their other meals from the regular menu, and it's not bad at all. Wish I could give them no stars. Ordered our food waited forever. Then to find out our order was wrong. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, there was no cheese on it. Carl's jr used to be my favorite fast-food chain, but since they were acquired by Hardy's they have become wretched. While they may not be the worst fast-food they are in the running for that tittle. The burgers are dry and taste like salted oatmeal burgers. if that is your preference then Carl's jr is good for you. the service here is unconscious. Triple check you order as the local staff seem to have their mind on anything other than completing your order. I tried this place 3 times but won't go there again. my advice would be to try any place else. read more

The only Carl's Jr I've been to has been the ones in Oregon. Think I'll keep it that way. Bunch of kids running the place(not very well) waited up front for about 5 minutes before our order was taken. The food was messily put together, the $5 beer cheese and bacon fries has maybe a squirt of cheese on 3 waffle fries, and a clump of bacon thrown on top. My meal was def not worth $30. Wouldn't come to this location again read more

I decided to eat lunch here today they price was nice and you get a lot the cashier was pretty nice had to wait about 25 mins for food inside it was not that crowded and the hours play a big part it was OK service better then most places and you cannot beat it for 6 bucks at least you get a meal and dessert and a drink so I probably would eat here again giving if I crave it read more

Carl's Jr has some pretty giant burgers and this place delivers. They have the standard Carl's Jr. fare, with decent service for a fast food joint. The interior of this location is a decent size and is clean. They also have new soda machines that have a large offering of flavors. My favorite is the jalapeno six dollar burger (lettuce wrap for low carbers). Tasty and filling, not a place I come often, but when I do, Carl's Jr is the way to go. read more

After years of seeing advertisements on TV, I finally had a chance to visit one of this chain's locations and it was pretty well spot on compared to my level of expectation. Carl's Jr is fast food plain and simple. The service was good enough and my order came out correctly and without delay. I ordered a bacon cheese burger which was pretty good but nothing spectacular...again, meeting expectations. as a side item I had the sweet potato fries which again were good but nothing to write home about. Not bad. I had the Western Bacon Burger, basically a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and BBQ sauce. It's sort of on the sweet side, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're not craving BBQ flavor/sweet. Their french fries are okay, not salty which health wise is good right?! I've called them and they are aware of the problem, I go into the doctors today to have stool sample checked for which bacteria it is. Burgers are decent, but I primarily go through the drive thru and it is THE SLOWEST DRIVE THRU IN EXISTENCE. I don't know if it's a staffing issue our what, but the wait is routinely 5 to 8 minutes, and multiply that by the number of cars in front of you. Time of day doesn't matter either, it's always glacial. read more

We had better food at McDonald's for less. For over $30 in fast food, you would think the food would be good... at most this was mediocre. The much touted Pacific Cod sandwich was thin as hell, soggy, had a sour taste and was unappetizing.
