We stopped at Carl's Jr. to get one milkshake. It was store number. 1100664 Rohnert Park, California. We could hardly hear the person on the other side taking to take an order through the drivethru. He was so intoxicated took us 30 minutes to get a milkshake. He was the manager his name was Edwin. He could barely even talk. He was so drunk. Tried to give us the wrong order. There was cars backed way up. Nobody was happy but him of course. Nobody should have to work under a drunk manager. It was Saturday night, June 6 around 9:30 PM. I went back in the next evening and talked to a gentleman at the counter and asked who was working that night on the drive-through and he asked why was he drunk and I said yes he was he asked me to. get a hold of corporate and let them know that he was drinking. I'm not sure what's gone wrong with the management here, but it's seriously bad. On a drive through order, I was given the wrong chicken sandwich. That alone would have been a small but easily fixed problem. Given the very long wait to get food, I was just going to keep the sandwich I was given. (The wait at the window was 10-15 minutes or more.) Then I unwrapped the sandwich and saw the mold on the bun. That was something that needed to be fixed. I should have taken a picture of it for proof. So, I walked into the dining room, and up to the counter. I waited patiently while they helped another customer. Then when the person who seemed to be the manager was available, I showed him the bun with mold, and also noted it was the wrong sandwich. His response? "What do you want?" No sorry. No offer of a refund or replacement food. Taken aback, I asked for comped chicken tenders, and a refund for the sandwich that had mold. A reasonable request, given that mold is a problem reportable to the health department. Instead, the manager show the bun to a worker,not noting the mold, just saying it didn't look right in a dismissive tone. He then directed the worker to make another of the same (wrong) sandwich. I explained again that wasn't what I wanted, given the mold on the buns. Then he tried to charge me for the chicken strips and for "keeping the fries" that came with the combo meal. Finally he agreed to refund the whole combo meal. (He did not offer to refund the rest of the food from the multi person order, which would have been a good thing to do given the health violation.) While I was trying to explain, he snapped at me "I can understand English and I can hear you" which made no sense to bring up. Not a soul was in the building except us and the cashier/cook/ bathroom cleaner. Nice soft spoken young girl but did not see her wash or sanitize her hands before working the register. I hope there was a second person doing the actual cooking part. Two monster breakfast biscuits and a burrito. This place is expensive for the huge decline in flavorless quality. The cheese on the biscuit was flavorless slime like. Not talking nacho cheese slime but actual almost honey like slime. Remember Gak from the early 90's? That's kind of what it was like. I've only been to this location one time. Tonight I ordered the charbroiled Chicken Salad. It came with a sketchy looking piece of foil covering it instead of a lid. The salad was not great. The chicken was fine, it seems like it was not the freshest but not terrible. The salad was tired looking iceberg with two tomato slices and a little bit of cheese and onion. My place on occasion for an iced tea run. I couldn't recommend anything else as I haven't tried any other item. I'll usually go through the drive thru, put in my order for a large tea, and receive it promptly. It's always cool, refreshing, and thirst quenching after a long day at work. The other Carl's jr got one and shut down right after so I dont see WHY on earth a Carl's jr that from what I know of plans to stay open cant get some new floor tiles and carpets at least. The bathrooms are terrible and they always stink like homeless people and could use updating as well. As for the actual food. . It's not to bad. But it's not that great and service is sooooo slow. My five piece chicken strips was a joke. I asked for a cup of ice with my combo instead of a soda, got half a cup. Was sitting in the drive they for 10 minutes, after I waited 5 minutes just trying to help them understand what a five piece strip meal with zucchini instead of fries and a cup of ice no soda meant. I'll be honest and say this is the closest fast food to my home, so, while I prefer other fast food chains, I do visit this store often. Their food is usually hot, and, if you order one of their less-popular products (like the turkey burger), it is usually 'fresh' and made-to-order. My two complaints about this location: 1) They've removed all fish from the menu. I understand the business logic behind this move (no one ever ordered it), and I'm no Catholic, but I have to say that I enjoyed the beer-battered fish sandwich they had, and am sorry to see it go. Minus One Star. 2) For some reason beyond me, they've trained EVERY ONE of their employees to put your sandwich in your to-go bag SIDEWAYS, so it fits along side your order of fries. It's kinda weird that their employees don't seem to know the effect of gravity on a sideways sandwich, but let me tell ya, it's pretty annoying. Please spend the extra five cents and give me a bigger bag that doesn't require the innards of my sandwich to slide out because you have to squeeze it in next to the fries. Minus Another Star.
