A strange turn of events lead me to be locked out in San Fransisco at 7am on a Saturday, hungry and barefoot, restricting me to places with drive-thrus, and my usual In-N-Out wasn't opening for over three hours. Yelp gives me the option of a McDonalds which would only be serving their gross breakfast food at this hour, or this Carls Jr. I was hungry enough to drive the 15 miles and went with the latter. I had made the right decision. This was by far the best Carls Jr I've ever had. The service was fast and friendly, which was pleasantly unexpected. My order came out perfect, even with all my usual customization requests. The burger was perhaps the only time for me that Carls Jr has fully delivered on their promise of charbroiled flavor. The Six Dollar Burger I ordered tasted like something I might actually consider paying six dollars for. This might all be my hunger at the time talking, but it made for the best desperation meal I've ever had. Now, having said all that, it was still Carls Jr, not exactly fine dining. Still, my expectations were just blown out of the water. If every Carl's Jr location was this good, I'd be considerably fatter. read more

So I really like the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger at every Carl's jr, but other reviewers are right about this place. It needs to be cleaned more often and maybe use some cleaning products. I mostly use the drive through and never encounter any issues there. Today I dined inside and the tables were not clean and the ketchup cups had dried ketchup on the top three cups. To top it off one of the workers had pushed together some chairs and layed down to watch a show on his phone with no earphones. With a little bit of routine cleaning and employees that should nap out of customer view this place would get great reviews. read more

Seriously just witnessed a guy scraping the grill with a spatula and scraping the spatula against the side of the garbage can and then used the spatula to grab my husbands hamburger off the grill. Earlier today i went in here expecting the none the less great service I usually receive at Carl's Jr. I was highly surprised that it sucked. I even asked Siri to find me the nearest Carl's Jr. because it's my go to fast-food restaurant. I think It must off been the worst fast food experience I have ever had. We literally had to wait 10 minutes for the cashier to attend us and there was no one even in the whole restaurant! I thought customers who walk in get service first since they took the effort and time to come in and eat, but I was wrong apparently drive-thru customers rule. Secondly they told my friend that he did not pay for his food after waiting 15 minutes for his food to get there while I was eating. I clearly saw him pay with his debit card. If I could give negative stars I definitely would. All I wanted after a long hard day at work was a chicken sandwich. And the lady completely f***ed up my order. I ordered a coke with a few CHICKEN f***ing sandwiches. (This was in the store and not the drive through) My order was gross ass burgers with what looked like a whole onion sliced on top. And a non iced and warm Jank ass DIET coke. I told the worker who appeared to be the manager that she messed up my order and she refused to give me a refund and said the only way I'm getting any chicken sandwiches was if I paid for them after she f***ed up my order. I've been in the industry all my life and I understand that covid is tricky but it's been a year now and they've been open the whole pandemic. Get your shit together! There was one car in the drive through and we were the only guests inside. So now I'm hangry and down 20 bucks because I was refused service when I asked if she could change my coke because the machines were shut down. This is a very nice place to go to after a long or nice day and your really hungry. I really enjoyed when an employee Aldair helped me out when i dropped my food. He later on bought me new food and i was like this employee really just did that and i couldn't thank him more. I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance. Maybe it's because I use to work for Carl's Jr. And I have a sweet spot for them but for some reason this location always get my order wrong. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I bought a breakfast burger during lunch and they forgot the egg. Previously I bought a Sante Fe chicken sandwich and got a chicken club instead. Prior to that I ordered a spicy chicken and they did not put the chicken in it. Another incident I ordered a steak and egg burrito and they gave me bacon instead. One time their zucchini tasted like rubber like it's been sitting there for awhile and they decided to throw it back in the oil to reheat it. Like I said I use to work at Carl's Jr. I know what goes on behind the counter. The list just goes on here. With all that said this will be my last time visiting this location. A suggestion please double check your orders I had to be that annoying customer who kept calling because their order was wrong. Decided to avoid the long car line and walk in for take out. I was ignored for long enough to have to ask them if they were still open. They turned around said they were open and then continue to just look at the cooks and wait for the food for some orders. Finally after about seven minutes, they handed me a bag of food. I told him that I was still waiting to order. They assumed that I was there for Uber eats and that's why they weren't attending me however they didn't say that or tried to apologize and just said OK what can I get for you. I ordered my to be on meat burgers and waited. While I was waiting not only was the manager yelling at the cooks but I saw her cough on someone's food as she was bagging it. Then she must have felt bad for me waiting so long and offered me a free soda. I told her I didn't drink soda and she said will just grab water. Then she told me how it was hard for her to talk because she was sick and I told her yeah probably because you're yelling at everyone and she just tried to justify it by saying how they weren't that busy and the cooks were taking too long. I stop by when I'm in the area. Carls Jr. is my goto for fast food, and the staff here is friendlier than most fast food restaurants. Often the bathrooms and dining area are usually very clean, compared to competitors. Occasionally the place is a mess or the floor was recently washed with extra soapy water, making it unnecessarily slippery. Management should watch this because this was dangerous during a recent storm. I don't think all employees understand that extra soap doesn't make the floor cleaner, it makes it more dangerous. read more

The food is good and in sync with all Carl's Jr sites. However the decor is in dire need of a modern makeover. I feel like I am in my grandmother's kitchen. I don't need that when I'm trying to enjoy a meal. The manager is very nice and friendly and the staff seem cool as well. Maybe change the channel to something more interesting on the TV as well. Great service and excellent quality. I go to this restaurant a lot now. I used to dislike it because the employees did not do a good job. I suggest going in and not using drive thru. I have to admit Saroja has made a huge difference there. She makes sure the order is correct, if it isn't they "remake it". Lately I have had perfect service and great food.
