Carl's Jr is pretty decent food but what's up with the long wait for the food here? There were only a few people in the line but it took forever for all of us to get our food and we ended up chatting for a while. The nuggets and waffle fries were good but would tasted even better if I got it sooner and it was fast food as advertised.

Best Hamburgers and fries in town! It's too bad they don't honor their $4 deal in Scotts Valley!! I was very disappointed about that!!

Needs new management. Looks dirty inside, workers are rude and food was cold. The only good thing was the fry's, they were very good.

We can pretend it doesn't sound good, but we all know that orangutan curly fries is one of your…read morefavorite snack-on-the-go foods, too. After a hot day on the beach. A long day of work. Or for no particular reason, just gettin the "orangy-cravies". In any event, we can all agree that yes -- this is undoubtedly the yummiest snack and only food that actually trumps rhino-loin burritos (reviews on this to come). That being said, I was quite optimistic about finding this "rare" yet extremely popular treat at our local Jack in the Box. My logic is bullet-proof. Everyone loves primate meat. Jack in the Box curly fries are by far our country's greatest accomplishment. And to top it off, this WOULD BE the place to do something "crazy". I remember a recent conversation with my imaginary wife, that went exactly as follows: "Honey, we all know that most fast food chains stretch their meat and French fry fats with exotic animal flesh, usually primates, right?" "Well yes, honey. A 2 year old could tell you that..." "So what would be the most likely place to grab an orangy-tangy curly fry in any given city or town?" "Babe, it's clearly Jack in the Box....the place is represented by a crazy, disfigured bobble-head-man wearing some kind of weird klan-hat. That's your best bet 10/10 times." (and that's HER opinion, by the way. Personally, I think Jack got class ) But point proven, thank you Charlotte. Furthermore, for this particular little hole-in-the-way town (Scott's Valley) I have data that proves it. I recently conducted a very unofficial "off the record" poll of over 2,000 soccer moms in the greater SV area for 2025. I asked them "if I told you my camera man wasn't filming, and asked you what your VERY favorite food was -- completely off the record. What would you honestly say?". To no surprise, once they thought the cameras were off, the truth poured out....confirming that a whopping 97% of SV soccer mom's consider orangutang curly fries their VERY favorite food. And most did mention ranch as preferred condiment, of course. Moving on. I was so eager to eat these fries today, I think I bit off and swallowed about half of my own tongue. But to my utter and complete dismay, this may have been the only truly exotic meat in my fries today. I didn't detect even the slightest hint of orangutan. For a moment, I thought I detected chimpanzee...but then realized it was probably just ketchup (very similar flavor). Despite this epic disappointment, I must admit the fries and service were quite good....it just wasn't the experience my heart had desired. Guess next week I'll have to try a new place across town, which I have excellent intel on, that makes it virtually a sure thing. Thank you so much for reading along! If you like my content, follow or subscribe. I'd like to share one more wild idea. If you thought this story was crazy, imagine how much different it would be if we changed the word "orangutan" to a word like "chicken" "cow" or "pig". I always find that comparison strange, personally....but for me, after having eaten countless populations worth of primates throughout my lifetime (I wiped them out in 16 villages one year while studying abroad ...those late night munchies ya know) I can no longer enjoy these simple and unpalatable meats. So enjoy your silly pigs, or grow some big boy pants and join me in my next primate hunt!

Craving blue whale fries...again!…read more There's just something about that rich, fishy yet majestic flavor that hits the spot unlike anything else. As fate would have it, I found myself near a Burger King. My gut whispered, "We're close to the ocean. Blue whales are super easy to harpoon and have the most delicious fat. Maybe the manager here knows what's up and tapped into this goldmine. They are the king of fast food, after all." And thinking logically, fast food restaurants have a long and beautiful history of cooking fries in animal fat... so I promptly ordered a large fry to test it, with $6,000 cash in my wallet (only ones...I don't trust anyone who thinks they're bigger than George Washington) prepared to fill my Prius if they were indeed the BW fries my little heart desired. "Free Willy" the cashier yelled out the name I gave him. I couldn't think of anything else at the time. By this point, I was salivating so aggressively it had already soaked through my whale-themed bib (Moby-Drool) and I felt a fiery droplet trickling into my left belly button. I sprung into action. Had to push several children aside and might have thrown one, but I made it to the counter in less than 2 seconds. I had such hope and urgency with that first bite, I nearly took my thumb and pinky off (I eat different, get over it). Thirty-six fries down the hatch. Chewed twice (well, like 1.5x). And let the taste buds do the rest.... I closed my eyes, picturing Humphrey the Humbpack Whale making his way up the Sacramento River (wish I was around for that ). Waited... Blue whale? Humpback? Common, even (gray)? Nothing. Not even so much as a whisper of dolphin blubber.... I cried the whole drive home to my Swift / Dion playlist. But to be fair, the fries were excellent. Hot. Crispy. The staff were friendly. They just weren't the blue whale fries that true Americans want, deserve, and, frankly, have been denied for far too long. I can only hope our nation comes to its senses and once again embraces the proud tradition of openly serving whale meat instead of forcing honest citizens like me to pursue our dreams in the shadows. We have the power to dominate, kill, and eat these majestic yet objectively inferior beasts. So why should we deny ourselves whale meat -- one of life's greatest pleasures? Please connect with me and join the movement to get whale meat back where it belongs. On our ballots. In our fryers. And, ultimately, in our bellies.
