They bring you not one but two types of bread for free! One is a delicious garlic bread, the other is reminiscent of tomato pie but didn't taste the freshest. This restaurant may suffer from too many options on their menu. We had specials to choose from and a very extensive menu. When I looked up and saw my nephews plowing down on some delicious looking calamari with mussels I shouted where the hell was that on the menu lol, they assured me it was on the menu. I went with one of the specials that consisted of veal medallions with prosciutto on it accompanied by eggplant. I really don't like prosciutto on my veal as I believe veal is special enough of a dish that does not warrant the need for prosciutto but obviously its a simple fix pull it off if you so desire. I enjoyed my dish but if I return I would go with another option. My gf wasn't a huge fan of the gluten free pasta primavera as she said she had to add a lot of parmesan cheese to add flavor to the dish. It could have been lacking flavor as she was implicit to make sure no gluten makes it way into the meal. I am happy to report she did not feel sick after the meal. This is also a BYOY restaurant which is nice as it cuts down on the cost of the meal if you choose to indulge with some wine or alcohol of choice with your meal. There dessert selection is pretty good, they even have lava cake which is hard to find at many restaurants. We had a large party of nine people and they were able to accommodate on relatively short notice. The wait staff was very good and on top of things. I guess I should have started my review with this and not end but one last mention, they had three soups to offer, chicken noodle was there soup of the day, pasta fagioli, and seafood bisque. I went with the bisque but was pretty confushed when it appeared there was noodles in it and no seafood that I could see with my eyes, the seafod bisque broth was nice but it wasn't what I was expecting. As always people SYOY!!!

When you're looking for consistency in good Italian food look no further than Carlucci's. With staff that are happy that you came and greet you like family. We have come here many times and have never left disappointed. I have personally tried over half of the menu and each meal is better than the last. Quality ingredients, large portions, and the bread... ooooo, the bread. When you're celebrating a special occasion, or simply craving good quality, Italian comfort food look no further than Carlucci's in Yardley.

When we first moved to Langhorne their food was fantastic (2015). We used them for catering and special dinners. We ordered from them for my mother in laws birthday this past year and again tonight, both disappointing. Wanted to give them another chance but I just can't order from them again especially when I paid almost $100 for not a lot of food, was betting on the quality. The entrees were both DRY. The salad had one tomato and one slice cucumber. The lobster bisque was so bland. The pizza was sub-par. Should've ordered from our local pizza shop for HALF the price or made it ourselves.

Everything was better than expected from this strip mall location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior is very pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service great. Food fantastic. It all started with the famous tomato bread, a great focaccia with their chunky marinara. Partner had the chicken Reale and practically licked his plate clean. I had the special, seafood cannelloni, quite tasty with a lovely mushroom sauce. Pasta was a little thick. The best part was the sides. Simple potatoes with a white sauce were so yummy as were my favorite grilled zucchini carrots and peppers. We would have had the gratis soup or salad had we known. However we were comfortably full without them, even declining the tempting desserts. Wish it were closer. So many things I want to try. We'll surely stop in next time we are in the area.

Had a wonderful time celebrating my friends birthday at this establishment. There was also another celebration going on, so the rent rooms for special occasions. The food was so good. The staff brought out complimentary tomato bread which was delish. The service was wonderful, and the seating was nice. Now the food....it was so hard to choose all the choices read good. I decided on the Saporita, so good !!! It's also BYOB which is always nice. I definitely recommend this place.

AVOID- so disappointing. Their large menu looks so good but the food wasn't. Nonetheless the service was fast, good and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First they sat us away from everyone near the service station for no apparent reason, so we asked to be in the dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The fococia bread is good but the sauce it's served with is the most generic tomato sauce- give me a nice balsamic oil dip. We both ordered the same meal which came with soup or salad. The cream of seafood bisque was edible but the seafood was simply shredded imitation crab and a few pieces of minced shrimp. The lemon chicken was actually good but that was the only thing we ate entirely. The scalloped potatoes were so incredibly bland we didn't touch them; it's like they just poured cream on top of them with no herbs, garlic, spices, and my adding black pepper didnt help. We didn't bother with dessert. How on earth this restaurant has a 4.5 rating is beyond us!!! It looked and tasted like food from from a senior home cafeteria. Ive been told it was good several years ago but it's really gone downhill. They wont last much longer, even Olive Garden has to be better than this.

I came to Carlucci's for a casual weeknight dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was pretty quiet; we were sat and greeted by a friendly server immediately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He brought over some delicious Tomato Bread as we took a few minutes to look through the menu. The homemade marinara had an incredible flavor, making a simple appetizer taste outstanding. Our server did a great job answering questions and offering input on individual entrees. I ordered the Ravioli Bellini, and my friend ordered the Chicken Villagio without the prosciutto. The meals come with a soup or salad; both of us opted in for the Caesar Salad. The server brought out another exceptional bread with our salads. It was a homemade puffy bread topped with fresh olive oil, garlic, and grated Parmesan. The ingredient quality and flavor made the bread exceptional. Both meals were presented exceptionally when they arrived. I could tell that the Ravioli Bellini was homemade from the perfect pasta texture and the flavorful filling. The pink sauce had just the right amount of creaminess to make the dish decadent without being extremely heavy. Every element of the Chicken Villagio was excellent; the chicken was perfectly crispy, and the tortellini tasted just as fresh as the ravioli. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The service and ambiance were great, and the food far exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back at Carlucci's in the near future.

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Carlucci's. Everything was wonderful except for our entrées. Their homemade bread is fantastic! Our appetizers, stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallops with crab meat were outstanding! Unfortunately our entrées were not very good. The Stuff Salmon was very very dry. The salmon was so dryed out that the only thing that saved it was the moist crabmeat inside. The Chicken Stephanie had the same issue. The chicken was dry and chewy and the shrimp was rubbery. My husband said it seemed like it was sitting for a while and then heated and plated. Even though the appetizers and service were both excellent, we did not entirely enjoy our Christmas dinner.

Outstanding! It began with some sort of herb infused bread with a dash of fresh warm marinara sauce. Very tasty! I had the special with pasta, crab, scallops, shrimp, and clams in a savory sauce with small tomatoes. So delicious. It came with a salad and a full plate of fresh baked flat type bread. I travel a lot and eat in many different places. This one is a keeper and I will be there whenever I am in the area. read more

Real italian place. You may need a translator to understand your waiter. Absolutely, positively, delicious! I had a cannelloni filled with seafood and cream sauce. My god! Awesome grilled veggie side. Two kinds of bread come with the dinner free. Wish I had more room, 'cause the deserts looked awesome too. read more

I came here with my mom for lunch on a weekday expecting a standard pizza place, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is actually a pretty classy Italian restaurant with a lot of Italian flair--from time to time, we heard someone start singing from the back. They were busy, but we didn't have to wait for long (except at the end for the check). Our waiter was pleasant. The restaurant is pretty dimly lit, and is the kind of place you can go with a family or for a date. The lunch menu is pretty large. I ordered the chicken florentine sandwich and substituted the fries with mixed grilled veggies. (You can substitute pasta or potatoes with mixed grilled veggies for no extra cost, or substitute vegetables like spinach for a little extra. I found this a great option. They also have a lot of gluten-free options.) The sandwich came on a sort of pita wrap. It was huge, very filling (I ended up taking some home), and delicious. The bread was soft, cheesy, warm, and flavorful; the chicken was cooked well; and the spinach was sautéed with garlic. It became a fork-and-knife meal, which I didn't mind at all. The grilled vegetables were tender and really flavorful. My mom ordered a special; I don't remember which. But her chicken was also tender and delicious. I'd say her portion wasn't as filling (no carbs on her plate). She helped me with some of my bread, but would have been fine without. Overall, we had a nice experience. It was nowhere as expensive as I'd expected (my sandwich was less than $8, and my mom's meal was around $12 or $13). Also, the chocolate mints at the end of the meal were quite good. Carlucci's is definitely better than most pizza/Italian places in the area, and affordably so as well. read more

The food here is seriously amazing. The scallops angelica dish was probably the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. They served two types of bread before our appetizers came out and they were soooo gooddddd. The menu is a little pricey but the amount and quality of the food makes it well worth the price. read more

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area but I'm not a big fan of Italian food in general as they are heavy. Food is good but not excellent. I loved my soup but my main entree Chicken la Sal was not good. My boyfriend loved his seafood pasta dish though. The manager noticed my plate and offered to cook me another dish gratis but I didn't want anything else so he sent out a dessert on the house. Now that is customer service! I highly recommend this place. Price is right on for the quality you get. I'm a foodie so I'm hard to please so please do not be discouraged by my 4 stars. I think most ppl would love it here!! read more

We just wanted to grab some lunch before heading in to the nearby Kohl's to do some shopping. We did not expect much from a strip mall eatery, but Carlucci's can definitely be classified as a hidden gem. It is very nicely appointed inside, a lot fancier than we expected, with wall dividers hiding most of the dining room from the large front windows. They have a varied menu of Italian favorites, or considering their many sandwiches, Italian-flavored favorites. We ordered a roast pepper dip that was on special and a side of Sautéed Spinach. Both were amazingly delectable, and we vowed to come back when we really had time to explore their menu, and to tell everyone we knew about the place. read more

Some of the best Food I have had in the area. Bread was amazing, 5 seafood bisque soup was a 4 , very high quality and delicious, crab cakes were the best I have ever had , 5 I had the seafood pasta special scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly clams were a little small but it was so much food it was fine, 4. took a while to get our food tonight and as i debated writing this review i realized that this is exactly why we loved our meal- because it was made to order, from scratch with real ingredients. incredible grilled veggies, sautéed broccoli. perfect for kids pasta and sauce withe meatballs and they ate every bite. best penne vodka ever. and 2 ridiculously good gluten free chicken dishes: parmesan and florentine. the chicken rice soup was tasty, the bread was copies, the salad dressing was tangy and fresh. no complaints. hands down best last minute, takeout with the kids, ever. and... we have lots of leftovers for tomorrow! read more

Great Italian place near all hotels for sesame place. Good for kids too. Note: it's BYOB. We really enjoyed the personal kids' pizzas, eggplant parm and shrimp Caesar salad. Nice to start off w a "puff" of crusty dough w olive oil, garlic and herbs. That was a great start vs typical bread basket. Service was great and prices seemed right. Birthday dinner for a party of six. After we were seated, the table was treated to some rolls smothered in a tasty marinara sauce and a fresh garlic/olive oil pita which we all shared while ordering. Half of the table had grilled salmon with the others enjoying tilapia, crab in red gravy over pasta and grilled vegetables over pasta with some sliced chicken. Everyone enjoyed their plates enormously. The broccoli and potato soup was great. The salads were fresh and ample to start things off (they came with the platters). We shared a couple of BYOB bottles of wine and had a birthday cake that we brought in. The service was attentive and friendly. The manager led an enthusiastic happy birthday to finish the meal. We have been going to carlucci's for many years now and this place never disappoints us. As soon as you sit down, the staff brings in the table bread with marinara sauce (yummy) and garlic bread. The service and food are excellent! They always give you big portions. I love their chicken parm which is not fried nor breaded unlike other restaurants. Top end service, taste, quality, and value. If you have not yet tried Carlucci's, you have been missing out on a great dining experience. I went back (for my fifth or sixth visit), this time for dinner on Sunday. We had to wait about five minutes for a table, which I took as a good sign. Although I'm not a fan of the set-up of the entry and waiting area, I knew that the best part of the experience was to come. My expectations were exceeded. Our clean table was out of the direct sunlight, but still well lit. Heavy flatware was rolled into linen napkins, and our waiter, Tom, was prompt, friendly, and highly professional. We were served bread with marinara (a small, four-bite plate for both of us), which is always very good. It's like going into Nana's kitchen before everyone else is served. Perfect! Next came our drinks and "Puffy Bread," which is excellent and nearly to good to share. Each of us ordered entrees and chose the salad over the soups (which I've sampled before, but the day's heat pushed us to chilled salads). Very good dark mixed greens and a fine house vinaigrette. My grilled seafood trio over grilled vegetables with a light lemon sauce was truly very, very good. Expertly grilled thin fillets of salmon, grilled shrimp, and grilled scallops. Perfectly done... Not dry, not burnt, with tantalizing grill marks. How do they do that so well?!?! The other guest ordered Chicken & Shrimp Stephani (with tomatos, bacon, and asparagus tossed with penne). It, too, was very, very good. Tom's professional service was great, and complimented the great food and very nice dining area. Big thanks to the entire Carlucci's team for a consistently fine dining experience. read more

Went here for lunch the other day and had a really nice meal. The environment was warm and inviting and Angelo, our waiter, was very attentive. The pasta fagioli was good, flavorful and comforting. I stuck with good old fashioned chicken parmigiana. The chicken was juicy and the mozzarella tasty. I loved that the angel hair side was perfectly al dente. The only issue I had was that as me and my companion were enjoying our after dinner coffees, the waiters were walking all around us beating the chairs with towels. The constant snapping was so annoying, we finished up quickly and left. read more

We were at Sesame Place for the day and found this restaurant down the road. The food was good and the service was excellent. I had the grilled chicken parmigiana. The pasta and bean soup was lukewarm and a little salty. Overall the food was good and the place is cute. read more

Went for lunch after a business meeting and the service and food were superb. Quick service, customized dish for the special diet person with us, and great food all around. OUTSTANDING......one of the best Italian restaurants in the area, Dominic would have to be the finest host any restaurant has seen. A true asset. We go for lunch and for dinner. The food is always excellent and of high quality, beautifully prepared. The prices overall are moderate. Sometimes I'll actually crave one of their dishes such as Chicken a'la Sal which is offered on a limited basis. Their soups are INCREDIBLE...some of the best I've ever tasted. Located in shopping plaza, doesn't look like much outside, although inside is warm & inviting...nothing pretentious, but not unattractive, either. Just a wonderful restaurant! read more

Don't even think twice! Make a reservation and enjoy. Be sure to bring your appetite. The portions are hefty and worth bringing home the left overs. All the food is amazing. Food was excellent as usual. Both the Fettuccine Bolognese & Linguine with clams were delicious. Sauces great for dipping with "puffy bread." Soup or salad included with meal. Prices reasonable with large portions, enough for leftovers. BYOB also saves some cash. Maria Christina (hope I got her name right?) was our server & was efficient, personable & attentive. We opened Carlucci's in order to share not just our favorite dishes but to also meet the wonderful people in our new home. Food wise the menu has a typical mix of pub grub - apps, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and several entrees. A friend was eating their jumbo Buffalo Shrimp off the starter menu and raved about them. I stuck to a Cheesesteak which was average but a deal at $9.50 -- the chopped steak was decent, cheese was good just needed a bit more. Hot peppers gave it some kick and the long roll was fresh. Their beer menu has around a dozen beers on tap. They dabble in more mainstream big beer/craft beer like your Goose Island IPA's/Lagunitas IPA, but do have a decent show of locals like Yards, Victory, Troegs and Weyerbacher. Bourbon wise I had a Knob Creek neat which was average price wise. The pour was on the generous side. Each time I've been here the crowds have been friendly and having a good time. Second of all how embarrassing is it to be called out in front of a bunch of people like that? I couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth. Before I left I politely told her I didn't appreciate her calling me out like that and she got very defensive. Not an apology from her, she didn't care one bit. She started arguing with me and acting like I was overreacting and like she didn't do anything wrong. She should take a look at herself in the mirror and think twice before she speaks. I'll never step foot into this bar again.

A look at reviews from the last few years read of disappointment in the products available in their cold displays. A change was needed to inject new life and renewed quality into the good Capt'n. That has been accomplished. My recent visit demonstrated that management is actively engaged in rebuilding brand by focusing on returning everything that the seafood market was previously known for to their former glory, as well as expanding with high end crab adjacent goods, like packaged pastas, pierogi, sauces and Stock pound cakes. All this, and the smiling repartee from Mark, one half of the new team running the business. This shop may be small, but it is bright and friendly. Of course, the crab is excellent, especially in light of the fact that Chucky is no where near the Chesapeake and must have inventory all year, and not just in crab season. No whole live crabs in the house, but their thing is the cake that lump crabmeat can create. Several options depending on your taste are available. I purchased a quart of Cream of Roasted Corn & Crab Soup and sampled three large fresh Shrimp. The chowder was delicious, with lots of corn and shredded sweet crab. Maybe not quite as meaty as I have loved in Annapolis, the Eastern Shore or the Delaware Beaches, but compelling nonetheless. Maybe next time I will pick up some of the pierogi and pound cakes to create a full meal. 5 Crusty Stars and only five miles from home.

When my cousin first told me about her awful experience at Carlucci's Grill, I honestly thought she was exaggerating. She mentioned the food was fine but that the hostesses were incredibly rude, disorganized, and completely unprofessional. I brushed it off--everyone has an off day, right? But after my own visit, I can confidently say she wasn't exaggerating at all. In fact, she might've been too nice. From the moment I walked in, I could tell something was off. The host stand was manned by two young women named Ava and Ceara, who couldn't have cared less about doing their jobs. There was no greeting, no "Hi, welcome to Carlucci's"--just blank stares and annoyed expressions, like I had just interrupted their break. I stood there awkwardly for a few moments before one of them finally acknowledged me with a sigh and a half-hearted "Do you have a reservation?" I did have a reservation, made days in advance, and even received a confirmation call that morning. But you would think I was asking them to perform rocket science. Ava started flipping through a worn-out reservation book like she had never seen one before, while Ceara just stood there scrolling on her phone. After a confusing back-and-forth between them (in front of me, not even trying to be discreet), they told me my name wasn't on the list. When I showed them my confirmation text, Ava rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, we've been having problems with that system." Not an apology. Not even an ounce of accountability. Just straight-up attitude. Ceara then told me to "just wait over there" with a vague wave of her hand, like she was doing me a favor. I ended up waiting 25 minutes while several walk-ins were seated ahead of me. When I finally asked for an update, they acted like I was being unreasonable for wanting to sit at the time I had reserved. The worst part? I wasn't the only one having issues. I overheard another couple being told they didn't exist in the system either. The entire front-of-house operation was a mess, and Ava and Ceara were completely unequipped to handle it. They were too busy chatting with each other, checking their phones, and giving attitude to multiple guests to actually do their job. When I was finally seated--by a manager who had to step in--it was way too late to salvage the experience. The food was decent, but by then I was so annoyed that it hardly mattered. Carlucci's Grill may pride itself on their menu, but if they don't fix their front-end staff, especially Ava and Ceara, they're going to keep losing customers. First impressions matter, and these two are running the place into the ground. What made it all worse was the mood they created at the front of the restaurant. It was tense, uncomfortable, and honestly set the tone for the entire meal. The lobby felt more like a chaotic waiting room than the entrance to a supposedly upscale grill. You could feel the frustration in the air--other guests were exchanging glances, visibly annoyed, and whispering complaints under their breath. Ava and Ceara's attitudes were contagious in the worst way, turning what should have been a relaxed night out into a stressful, sour experience. It's amazing how two people at the front can ruin the entire vibe of a place. Instead of welcoming us in, they made it feel like we were a burden just for showing up. Take my advice: if you're looking for a nice dinner with decent service, skip Carlucci's Grill. It's not worth the frustration. read more

This review is being written after multiple take-out experiences from Carlucci's and after eating inside the actual restaurant. Everything we have tried here has been absolutely delicious, and we want to return again and again! Inside the restaurant: The food is excellent and the service is good. We only ordered one appetizer and our entrees, and it felt like the food just kept coming. Expect to be seated for dinner for at least 1.5 hours as it ends up being a lot of food, since you get free bread and many entrees come with a soup or salad that is brought out before the entrees. (Therefore, it may not be recommended for small children if they can't sit still for long periods of time.) It is BYOB. For take-out: There were 6 of us and we each ordered something different. All of it was well packaged and tasted fantastic once we brought it home to eat. We couldn't decide which item was best, we enjoyed them all! I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Carlucci's Bar and Grill, especially due to the unacceptable behavior of one staff members--Ceara. Their conduct was not only unprofessional, but downright offensive. My 15-year-old son, who is disabled, was treated with a lack of basic decency. He was given a nasty, judgmental look, and one of them even asked if he needed a baby chair. That kind of remark is not only hurtful, it's completely inappropriate and ignorant. Disability should never be met with mockery or assumptions. We came here expecting a peaceful meal like any other family, and instead we were met with disrespect. Management needs to do better in training their staff to treat all customers with dignity and compassion. We won't be returning, and I hope Carlucci's seriously reevaluates the behavior it allows from its employees. read more

I can't begin to say how wonderful of an experience it was at Carlucci's. We (16 Family Members) took my Mother here on 6/15/19 for here 85th Birthday Celebration. Mom & our entire family had an excellent time and magnificent meal. The ambiance was great, the wait staff was attentive, friendly and simply put, tremendous. The food was Outstanding and not 1 of us waited for anything. We thank you so much for making our day with Mom on her birthday one to remember. read more

Mr. Carlo Capuano is a true gentleman and no wonder he took care of my issues. Thank you, Carlo. on a personal level, I have three sisters that frequent Carlucci grill. One of the three donated a kidney to another sister years ago. Both are doing well, thank goodness.. I'm sending blessings to your daughter Francesca for good health. read more

Visited Yardley from Virginia with my girlfriend. Her brother who lives in Yardley suggested we get dinner there. Let's just say that I will be back in Yardley at the end of December and I know where to grab dinner... it was so delicious!!!!! read more

This is my favorite Italian restaurant of all time! The food is tremendous and the service is always outstanding. The price is fantastic especially for what you get. Whenever you order an entrée you get either a salad or soup included. read more
