Well my son chose this place and it didn't disappoint, we were in the parking lot when we called for available seating, and we were seated right away. The place was dimly lit, and you felt really good with the beautiful ambiance. The waitress greeted us and explained a few items on the menu, I had been craving spaghetti parm and it was delicious and the portion was huge it was enough for dinner for 2 days. I forgot what my son ordered but I did sample it and it was also good, and my Cherry Lemon drop was great. Overall this a a good experience and I will be going back to try something else

This place was actually decent and I would return, The House sauce was a lil sweet how I like it . They make their own butter and both entrees were good . Always thought this place was dead for years until I just discovered everyone parks in the back . I'll definitely be back to try something else and p.s the staff was excellent!

It's a decent Italian restaurant. Typical dining setup. They have a nice bar area and comfortable seating in the front. The outside has an incredible mural on the side... Thats what caught our attention to try our this place! The bread and butter (regular and red pepper olive oil butter) were really good. I love that you can choose a soup or salad with each entree. I got the French onion soup which honestly was SO GOOD! Might be one of my favorites locally. I think it's only in available in one size though - a cup. And the regular price as a la carte is like $8 which feels really steep for the portion size. Anyway, everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. The pasta flight was really good. That tortellini!!! The red sauce, which is usually what an Italian restaurant prides itself on, was pretty bland. My husband enjoyed his veal Marsala, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The biggest disappointment was my meal I think. I got the Neptune pasta which was advertised as lobster, shrimp and scallops in a sherry sauce with linguine. Please do not be fooled into this dish. They do not serve lobster at all, they serve langoustines. Which is a very different flavor and should be a different price point. Plus with that sherry sauce, a different noodle...like a parpadelle, would have worked better with the dish. It just wasn't my favorite. I am looking forward to coming back and trying maybe the stuffed eggplant parm or the frutti de mare.

I was excited to try this restaurant out but I feel like my dining experience lacked a little something. My friend and I came on a Thursday evening and there was no wait. On Thursday nights, they have flight night where you get little portions so you can try each option. They had wine flights, pasta flights, and cannoli flights. I didn't care for any of the flavors they offered so I just ordered the chicken parm. With my chicken parm, I got a side of soup. It was a chicken pesto soup with rice. This was probably my favorite thing I ate that night so that was a bummer. My chicken parm was a little soggy, the chicken was not crispy. I also felt that the sauce was a little bland. The cannoli was also okay and was definitely not worth $8. I've had better at Wegmans. Unfortunately, I would not return.

Very nice dinner to celebrate my families June birthdays. Started off with drinks at the bar. Lemon drop martini, old fashioned and wine was had. They were very accommodating and let us linger past our reservation time. Once seated we had a leisurely meal, not rushed. We were well attended to. The table had appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and of course desserts! From lasagna, eggplant parmesan and chicken alfredo, no complaints! Portions were generous the bread basket hot, served with an olive type butter. Yum! Desserts- cannoli cake, chocolate cake and creme Brule were also good. The restaurant itself is cozy with an assortment of booths and tables. The bar area is nice too, spacious and plenty to tvs for viewing. Certainly would come back again!

Slow service. Was there for my brother's birthday and it was just an okay experience. They did let us bring his cake in which was nice. The food was just okay - and it wasn't piping hot when it got to our table. We ordered and then it was a full ten minutes before we were told they were out of the dish my husband ordered. Then, it took a good 20 to 25 minutes to get our food. My brother's steak was delivered rare and he ordered medium rare. Also the music is awful. They need to change it to something more soothing. And it was cold - I even said that I was chilly and nothing was really done. Not sure I'd go back.

We had a nice dinner at Carmines. Typical Italian restaurant. The staff was kind, drinks were good, and food was delicious with huge portions. I had the French onion soup, Caesar salad and stuffed eggplant parm without pasta. Other members at our table had lasagna and a make your own bowl with penne alfredo and chicken. Three of us had a Sicilian Old Fashioneds which were tasty. The house wine was average. Overall, we'd come back!

This is the "good stuff" and you'll taste the difference. Lots of great Italian restaurants for us Buffalonians to choose from. I've never tried Carmine's somehow. So glad I did! Fish fry was ordered to go. Beer battered haddock was seasoned well, really tasty and crispy. Wow! I shy away from fried fish as I don't enjoy the oily, soggy batter if it's not eaten right away. This was not the case. It came with 2 sides- coleslaw and a pasta salad, bread. The baked haddock Italiano was also delicious. Came with a side of pasta with marinara sauce and a salad plus bread. I think you can find less expensive fish fries, however I felt justified paying a bit more. Quality food. Delicious. Around $14 plus per dinner with tax.

Amazing Food, Great Service and Ambience! I had the Clams Casino, House Salad and Neptune Pasta. The food was delicious abd the portions were very generous. 10/10. I am looking forward to returning.

    Tortellini à la Carmine

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant in the Buffalo area. I've been going regularly for years, going back to their original location. When they opened up again few years ago, I was glad to find the same great menu, same great service and same great food. I still like to go here often, but I'm not quite as regular as I used to be, as they are only open for dinner, and my work schedule has me in be in the late afternoon and evening most of the time. My most recent visit was a special night out, and was fairly bittersweet... my Mom and I (my Mom also loved the restaurant) went back in the Summer and had a great time and had planned to go back on what was my Grandpa's birthday to celebrate his and Granda's memory (they both loved Carmine's as well). Unfortunately, my Mom passed away fairly unexpectedly, and the remembrance dinner was a solo venture honoring the memory of three. Started with the side salad that came with the entrée, with the house parmesan peppercorn dressing, and the mix greens, tomato, cucumber, carrots, red onions and homemade croutons is a cut above the typical side salad at most Italian restaurants. My entrée on this visit was the Tortellini à la Carmine... cheese tortellini with alfredo sauce, spinach, artichoke, and prosciutto... spectacularly delicious as always, and one of my regular go to dishes when I dine here, and quite filling. Because it was a special occasion, I also decided to have desert this time, and I got the tiramisu cupcakes... an interesting variation on the classic desert, making it a bit fluffier and lighter in the process. First time having it, and would love to have it again... if I have the room for it.

The place is very clean and for now, they have folding chairs, but you will absolutely overlook that when you try the food. It's a small place and I'm sincerely hoping eventually they can expand. And I'll explain why... . As the owner will proudly tell you, they have won awards for their sauce. I'm not in the least bit surprised... it is absolutely scrumptious! It's not like the sauce you find at most places. This is authentic Northern Italian sauce. The flavor is so rich, I could literally drink it from a cup! The meatballs are very flavorful, and the homemade bread... thick and hardy. . I ordered what was a breaded rice ball with a meatball in the middle. They threw in a couple extra meatballs and cut me a huge hunk of bread. My friends all ordered what was a stuffed half loaf of bread and got to choose their own fillings. We were all extremely happy with the food. . Now what makes this special other than the food... the two men who make sure your dining experience is a good one. The owner, once we were finished eating, sat with us at our table and got to know a bit about us. He told us that he also offers cooking lessons with Italian lessons! My memories are filled with enormous plates of Manicotti, delicious homemade bread, and chocolate cannolis. When Zarcone took over in 2018, I was worried that all of that would disappear, but alas, the food was still just as sensational. The prices went up, but the food was still worth it. Then Zarcone closed the dining room for over a year, so I was very excited when they reopened this year. However, on our second trip back yesterday, ww realized the Orazio's I grew up loving was no more. Yes, the prices were higher, but now the service was incredibly slow (there were only 3 other tables besides us), our water was only refilled before we ordered, more bread took asking three times, our add on meatball never came but we were still charged for it, and while most of that can be excused, now the manicotti had changed for the worse; the crepe tubes were barely half filled, and what used to be covered in mozzarella cheese and baked now had a single slice of cheese on top, which you could see the outline of. It breaks my heart that this is what Orazio's has become; a place that I no longer look forward to returning to when I'm back in town. RIP Orazio's, 2026.

Our server was new and still training, yet the service was warm, attentive, and seamless. The food was real, authentic Italian. My lobster ravioli came in a rich peppercorn cream sauce with wild mushrooms. The homemade ravioli were cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce was thick, creamy, and deeply flavorful. Elisa's fresh chicken salad was equally delicious. What made the experience unforgettable, however, was Raffaele. He welcomed us personally, visited our table, connected with other guests, and made it clear how genuinely grateful he was that we had chosen his restaurant. His character became even more apparent after we returned to Ohio and I discovered I had lost my wallet. Raffaele reviewed his security cameras, searched the parking lot, and found it soaking wet from the rain. He then overnighted it to me and refused to accept any money for the postage. That is extraordinary kindness and "Unreasonable Hospitality" at its very best. If I still lived in Buffalo, Trattoria Aroma would unquestionably be my go-to Italian restaurant. This location is clean, staffed with friendly employees, and has plenty of free parking. Inside, it looks like an old school sub shop. Black and white floors and dark booths, with an open kitchen where the bread is baked fresh. I did find it strange that on a Friday night at 6 pm the place was completely empty, which would normally be a sign of either high prices or bad food. DiBella's had neither. The menu is very easy to understand and easy to customize. You pick your bread, your meats, your toppings, any sides, and pay. I went for the smallest size sub on wheat with turkey, honey mustard, lettuce and tomato. Classic and simple. Hubby got the bigger Italian sub on white bread. I also got a side of macaroni salad, because I absolutely love East Coast noodle salads. Our food came out fast and our orders were both correct. The small sandwich was perfect for me, but it would definitely be too small for those with larger appetites. My wheat bread was clearly overcooked and a little dry, which was a major disappointment. The turkey was like a processed turkey loaf which also let me down. I also didn't have enough mustard on my sub. Hubby didn't have any comments on the meats on his sub, but he said they weren't the best he'd ever had. He raved about his bread and the oil and other toppings. The macaroni salad was my favorite thing, it was tangy and sweet and delicious. I did think the portion size of the side was far too small. I'll definitely come back to DiBella's, but I'll try the white bread as well as different meat next time (or maybe just veggie and no meat at all). I found the quality of the deli meat lacking, which was a big disappointment. However, there's enough to like about the subs and the prices are more than fair, so they deserve another shot. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program. I downloaded the free app and got a free small sub for very little effort.

It's ok though... I wasn't sure if there was complimentary bread so I did order the garlic bread ... well there is complimentary bread and butter, which was good, but no regrets on the garlic bread. It was good and my son really loved it! I don't normally order a garlic bread for this reason (comp bread plus garlic bread is too much bread) so it was a nice change of pace you could say! The drink situation was a little odd ... I only drink water for the most part ... sometimes a cocktail but I was with my son and didn't want to have a drink and they will give you soup with your entree ONLY IF you get a paid beverage. You can't have the soup with your entree if you only drink water. THEN we find out no refills on paid drinks. I am glad the waitress at least told us that, but it seems odd and kind of cheap of a restaurant to not give refills. Also weird to only give soup to those who don't drink water. I've never seen a restaurant do this. But the food was plenty so it's fine. My son did get a beverage that wasn't water, so he was able to get his soup. My son ordered the Alfredo and got the Italian wedding soup with it. I got the house made manicotti with meatballs. We enjoyed everything. I didn't love the meatballs but I am so picky about meatballs I wouldn't judge my review on that. If you're a texture person, they are firm meatballs.
