The ambiance of this restaurant is intoxicating! The music is a vibe, the service is consistent, the food is amazing and felt authentic, plus the drinks are delicious. Highly recommend for a date night, birthday, or happy hour with friends (pssst their happy hour is THREE HOURS)!

We had the best food and service! This place is gorgeous and we could watch the Dodger game on the tv in the bar! Our drinks were delicious. For dinner we ordered the Porterhouse. It came with 3 side choices. Perfect for 3 people to share. It was cooked perfectly. We ordered the mashed potatoes that were cheesy and delicious, the onion rings-fabulous, and sautéed mushrooms- cooked perfectly. We also ordered the beet salad. It was a very large plate of beets. Although it was good it could use some avocado or nuts. We tried 2 desserts and they were excellent. The pineapple sorbet/custard was my favorite. The cream cheese flan tasted like cheesecake but was very good. Honorable mention to 2 staff members that stand out: Rosa and Rayner, you 2 were amazing and provided an experience that will have us returning! Thank you

Located in the Collection, this restaurant has great ambiance, although the music was very loud, it was hard to keep a conversation going with my friends. When we arrived, we were informed that without a reservation it was a 2 hours wait. There were plenty of tables available, so I went to open table and was able to book a reservation for immediate seating. Very weird and we almost went some other place because of that. (The manager later on explained what happened). Let me tell you we were glad we didn't go some other place. The food and drinks were great. I will have to try more things next time but the name is Carne, so I was expecting good steaks, and that is what we got. Elizabeth, our server was amazing.

I love the vibe that Carne brings to Oxnard. In the Collection (where the former King and Queen Cantina used to be) is Carne, a modern Latin-fire grill. It has only been open a week! We started with the made-in-house sourdough bread and creamy butter. There was a small square of bread left that we were too full to finish, but it was so delicious that we took it home in a to-go box. Next, we had a tostada-like appetizer topped with plenty of guacamole and a delicious cream. I enjoyed everything at this restaurant, but this appetizer was my favorite out of everything I ate! Unfortunately, we devoured this appetizer, so we took nothing home. Finally, we ordered picanha beef, medium. It came out sliced thin and hot. The meat was well-seasoned, flavorful, and addicting. It would be very hard to order another type of meat in the future, knowing how delicious this meat was. It came with a side of beans and rice, which were quickly devoured: the beans were tasty and packed with flavor, and the rice made a great accompaniment. Everything was eaten, so there was also nothing to take home. We went home with our lone piece of bread. Also, the service was phenomenal. Evie, our server, and two managers frequently checked on us. Food and drinks came out quickly, and I literally cannot think of any complaints. Even the prices were reasonable for a restaurant of this quality, and I am already looking forward to making my way back here as soon as possible! Welcome to the Collection, Carne!

We visited on the restaurant's second day after opening, and we're so glad we did! It's always exciting to support a new business, and this place has so much potential. Being Puerto Rican and from Miami, it's hard to find some good latin food so we immediately stopped here. The food was absolutely delicious. FINALLLY maduros done the right way! Every dish was full of authentic Latin flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. You can tell a lot of care went into creating the menu, and we were impressed with both the quality and the portions. We especially appreciated how vibrant and well-balanced the flavors were. THE DRINK MENU One thing regarding the food which was a negative was the abundance of green sprigs on top of everything. AND the nacho chips with chicharrónes. Like how are you advertising chicharrónes on the menu which comes with nacho chips and gives me more chips than actual chicharrónes. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. 3 hours for us. Since it was only their second day, the staff seemed understandably new and a little timid, but they were all incredibly kind, polite, and eager to help. You could tell they genuinely wanted everyone to have a great experience. With a little more confidence and training, I have no doubt they'll become an outstanding team. Like the Cuban guy who reviewed below, took long for water, cocktails and the check. Opening a new restaurant is no small feat, and they're already off to a fantastic start. We can't wait to come back on Friday, visit the new location back at home in Miami, watch them grow, and try more of the menu. Wishing the entire team continued success! Attached are our photos of our dishes we sampled.

Definitely great ambiance and awesome costumer service! Food was amazingly good! Started with cold champagne and freshly baked sourdough bread . Then ordered an appetizer which was the chicharones con guacamole was crunchy and full of deliciousness. Then had had their must try picanha steak which was tender and full of flavor! Then end it with mouth-watering desserts: espresso martini with churros and scrumptious flan! Overall an amazing experience!!! Definitely will be back again! Thank you!!!

Beautiful ambience and music vibes are fun! This place has potential, but has some new restaurant growing pains to work out. The service left more to be desired on a Tuesday night with little to no people in the restaurant...

Carne has a great vibe! The ambiance was really nice, and the music selection set the tone for a fun dinner. We started with the pulpo and the corn nibs. The pulpo was cooked well but was a little underseasoned. I think just a little more of the sauce would have made a big difference. The corn nibs were delicious with a tangy flavor that kept us going back for more. For our entrées, we had the shrimp tacos, the lomo, and the ceviche Amarillo. The shrimp tacos were really good and definitely had a kick, so I wouldn't recommend them if you don't enjoy spicy food. The lomo was tasty, especially with the white rice and beans. I was surprised that the beans had meat in them, but they were still good overall. Unfortunately, the ceviche Amarillo wasn't for me. The yellow sauce was very thick, and the flavor overpowered everything else. Dessert was the highlight of the meal. The guava cheesecake was absolutely delicious and easily my favorite dish of the night. The service was good, and everyone was attentive. My only observation was that there were quite a few management check-ins throughout the meal. I didn't mind it, but it felt like a little more than necessary. Overall, Carne delivers a great atmosphere, good service, and several dishes I'd order again. While not every plate was a hit, I'd definitely come back--and I'd absolutely save room for the guava cheesecake.

This is our 2nd time coming to Carne. This time they gave us complementary champagne! New restaurants are always a hard start-up. Food was excellent! Thank you

Food Service & Ambience was excellent! For starters, they were super friendly and welcoming when entering and offered complimentary champagne. Seriously? Like yes please. I had really tasty dishes that I would TOTALLY come back for! I came for a girls dinner with my sisters and an aunt, so this was the spread; Queso Fundido with the fresh mini tortillas, Tomato & Avocado salad, Chicharron Guacamole, Churrasco Skirt Steak, Shrimp Tacos (3 orders of them!!) All of these were delicious, I definitely had the tomato and avocado salad for freshness, it had great flavor and seasoning. The Churrasco skirt steak was so juicy and flavorful! Not your average skirt steak for sure. The shrimp taco plate comes with 3 tacos each and hand made tortillas, I've never had shrimp tacos with hand made tortillas and it was a bit of a game changer!! The sauce? SUPERB. Shrimp cooked perfectly. And for dessert, of course we got the flan and churros! CLASSIC :) Will be back with my coworkers and girlfriends! Thanks so much Reiner, Hector, and Andrew! They constantly checked on us and gave us great recommendations. Bar tender is great with drinks AND mocktails, a definite plus! :-)

    Girls night out

Made a reservation for girls night out. We were immediately greeted with champagne from one of the managers, Mauricio. He made us feel special!! The food and drinks were was delicious. The atmosphere and vibe was trendy and cozy. Rose was an awesome server and Hector the manager was very hospitable. It was a great night! Will definitely be back.

Octopus so delicious in its adobo sauce on point not chewy at all. Perfection at is point

Everything was amazing. Me and my husband had the octopus as a start and porterhouse steak with mash potatoes broccolini and mushrooms as sides. Best ever. I promise so worth it. As far as the drink oh my god the Golden hour is the best. Our waitress was Leilani super nice girl. So attentive she always made sure we were taken care of the right way. checked up on us constantly and was an amazing waitress. Oh almost forgot we had complimentary champagne before being taken to our booth. Overall great experience. Ask for Leilani to take care of you when you get there. I promise you won't be disappointed. Definitely coming back.

It's the kind of place you stumble into after a day on the water, which actually feels appropriate for a seafood-forward Brazilian restaurant. The problem is the food never quite matches the promise of the name. I lived in Brazil for a while, so I tend to chase those flavors when I see a Brazilian restaurant. This place tries, and the food is perfectly tasty, but authenticity is where things start to drift. The menu hits some expected notes. You'll see things like moqueca, picanha, bolinho de bacalhau, camarão ao alho, and caldo verde. On paper that all sounds promising. But the execution feels softened and Americanized, and the overall menu reads like a curated sample of Brazilian dishes rather than something that feels rooted in an actual Brazilian kitchen. Moqueca itself, the dish the restaurant is named for, should be a vibrant stew layered with dendê oil, coconut milk, cilantro, lime, and peppers, the kind of thing that hits you with aroma before the spoon even reaches your mouth. Here it's fine, but it lacks the depth and brightness that make the real version so memorable. Feijoada shows up as a special some days, which is good to see, but honestly it's the kind of dish that lives or dies by its ingredients and slow cooking. With good cuts and some patience I can make a better one at home. The biggest red flag on the entire menu, though, is what's missing. There is no Pão de queijo. For a Brazilian restaurant, that's almost an affront. Pão de queijo is practically the national snack; warm, chewy little cheese breads made with tapioca flour that show up everywhere from bakeries to gas stations in Brazil. Leaving it off the menu feels like opening an Italian restaurant and deciding bread isn't necessary. Portions are also very American. Plates are enormous. That might sound like a positive, but it often just means a lot of food gets wasted unless you pack it up. For those of us staying on nearby boats in the harbor, hauling leftovers around isn't exactly ideal. None of this means the restaurant is bad. The food is good enough, the seafood is solid, and the harbor setting is pleasant. But if you're coming here hoping to revisit the flavors of Brazil, it falls short. It feels more like a Brazilian-inspired restaurant designed for American expectations than a place that truly captures the cuisine. It's enjoyable. Just don't expect the Brazil you remember.

The albacore tasted overly fishy and had a stringy texture. The combination of watermelon, cucumber, and avocado was creative and refreshing, but the fish itself was disappointing. We ended up picking around it and eventually threw away all of the albacore because we didn't feel comfortable eating it. Thankfully, the tacos were a completely different story. We ordered the skirt steak taco and the octopus taco, and both were fantastic. Great flavor, well-balanced, and easily the highlight of the meal. The other downside was the service.
