Been here a couple of times & gonna keep on coming. Just had the burritos so far, or should I say Brontosaurus Burritos, and they are Awesome. They are Super Huge and taste Delicious. I have learned to split my burrito cause I just can't finish it. The Breakfast Burritos are so warm and filling. Got a Ham & Egg Burrito w/ Potatoes and cheese. Soooo Good! Worst Carne Asada fries I've had in a minute. It's fries with cheese and some kind of mystery meat they are calling Carne Asada. It was mushy and weird. No Pico, no beans, just not worth it at all. This place is a gem! I went to Integrity tire for a oil change and tire rotation and since they were busy decided to have a little breakfast. I'm glad I did. Staff was friendly, food was amazing. Menu is great. So much to pick from. It's literally a hole in the wall kind of place which I live about it. These kinds of places are simply the best! Horrible service. Food is OK. Today was my 4th and last time to go here. I mostly have a problem with the non existent service. The first couple times I wrote it off to they are busy. Sitting at the bar today and actually waited 7 min before I was asked if I wanted anything. Used the time to find another place to go and was no disappointed with Michi Tacos. Next to Ralph's. Just stopped in today 8/14 around 1:30ish. I ordered a potato taco and a shredded chicken taco. The potato taco could have used a bit more salt but otherwise tasted great. The chicken taco was great as well. I would definitely recommend. Service was great as well. read more

This review is long overdue. We had a wake at my house for a family member and we had Carnitas cater it for us. Their food was amazing and we had way too much left overs that we sent several families home with enough for several dinners each . We had their Carne Asada, Pollo Asada and chicken fajitas with rice and beans. The food was greasy and stayed hot for hours. This my family's favorite restaurant even though we live in Perris we usually come here 2-3x a month. Our favorite waitresses are Jenny, and Sabrina. There are 1-2 waitresses we avoid due to slow service but everyone else is top notch. As for the food the dishes we love the most: Trio-steak shrimp and chicken fajitas, cheese enchiladas, any tacos, chicken tortilla soup, menudo, pancakes, carne asada w/eggs, and flautas. We have been coming here roughly 6-7 years and make it a routine. If you're looking for a great family Mexican spot this is definitely the place! read more

We went to Carnitas Express tonight and we were very impressed!! It is a cute little restaurant with a small bar area. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and taken to our table by a very nice gentleman. Our amazing waitress greeted us immediately and brought us our drinks. The gentleman then brought us our chips and salsa. We then ordered an El Matador Burrito with Shredded Chicken to share. It was more than enough and absolutely delicious!! We were so impressed with everything, and we loved the people that worked there. They were all so nice and had the sweetest smiles. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Walked in today before noon to get my grandson some tacos. Was completely ignored by the girl working up front while she proceeded to talk to a fellow employee. Then she got on the phone for the next 10 minutes and when she got off she still completely ignored me and went back to talk to her friend. Have rarely eaten there and most definitely won't again if that's the type of treatment the staff gives you. I was meeting a friend here for lunch. A woman (who I later found out was named Kathryn) walked into the restaurant right in front of me and let the door shut in my face. Lucky me, Kathryn turned out to be our server. When my friend tried ordering a lunch special, K told her they were no longer available even though the menu didn't reflect that. I ordered a chicken tostada. My friend ordered a beef enchilada and taco combo. Since the plate was overflowing with sauce, she shared some of it with me. Her comments were that the taco was the worst she'd ever had. As a 76 yr old, she's had lots of tacos in her lifetime! When brought to K's attention, K frowned and aggressively chastised her for not speaking up earlier. No apology. I was struck by the fact that there was so little beef in the enchilada that I didn't see ANY. They've raised their prices by an average of $5. on the lunch items. A soda cost $4.! I know prices needed to be raised but not by such a huge jump all at once. When I dine out I bring along raw veggies to supplement my diet. On this occasion, K aggressively told me that the owner gets "really angry" when people bring in outside food and not to do it again. Then she stormed off. I can't help but wonder if K is an owner since she constantly seemed to be "really angry". Bottom line is my friend nor I will never set foot into this place again. Hopefully the owners will rethink what a ripple effect having such toxic employees and unreasonable rules has on the future of their business. Like you dummies couldnt offer me to order off the menu you give to your dine in customers? Is that menu different from the one to go? Like what the F is the deal here? Very large portions. Even with a small staff they are very prompt giving you food. The food was good for two or three people. I ordered steak fajitas. The sides were huge. The chips and salsa very authentic. Worth the visit. Priced a bit high but it's a meal and you will have to get to go boxes for sure. read more

Carnitas Express is a small chain of four restaurants, centered around the small southern California town of Menifee, just outside the gated community of Canyon Lake. We actually visited Carnitas Express several times, a couple of years ago, and I'm just getting around to posting here on Yelp. My article may seem a bit disjointed, as it's because parts of a couple articles have been copied and pasted here... Carnitas Express features a spacious, clean, modern dining room, and it's very comfortable. The menu features just about everything "Mexican" that you can imagine, including breakfast. Their Bloody Mary drinks are legendary; when you pay a visit, you owe it to yourself to indulge in one of these fine drinks! My wife ordered a breakfast of Huevos A Caballo, which the menu states as two eggs, cooked any style, placed on top of two cheese enchiladas, served with rice and refried beans. She ate it all, which is unusual for herm and she loved every bite! I was thinking that maybe she wouldn't be able to eat it all and that I'd get to "help her out," but that didn't happen... good thing I ordered a Bloody Mary to accompany my breakfast. I ordered a breakfast of two fried eggs, over easy, refried beans, and corn tortillas, which happens to be one of my favorite Mexican breakfasts. OK, that was stock, as I ordered extra corn tortillas, and spiced up the whole meal from Carnitas Expresses' salsa bar. Check it out, as it was a "Bloody Mary morning," for me, as I didn't have to drive, so I passed on my usual copious cups of coffee and ordered a Bloody Mary. Carnitas Express makes a "killer" Bloody Mary... if you're a fan of that genre of drink, you owe it to yourself to visit Carnitas Express. On another occasion, I ordered a breakfast of scrambled eggs and chorizo, corn tortillas, salsa and coffee. Carnita's menu describes my breakfast as "Homemade Chorizo scrambled with two eggs." I describe my breakfast as delicious, authentic, and one of the best Mexican breakfasts that I've enjoyed in California. The menu offers both Mexican and American favorites, and most Mexican entrees are served with beans, and the choice of home fries, or Mexican rice, and your choice of either flour or corn tortillas. If you're a fan of breakfast, as I am, breakfast is served all day!
