I'm surprised to see all these negative reviews; they must have taken a hint and changed their tactics - We never felt pushed or bullied, our salespeople (Mirna and Miguel) were always patient, informative and informal (which I liked), and we felt like we got a good deal on the car. I purchased my first Subaru from them in August of 2015, at the time I thought this was the perfect car. Unfortunately after driving it for 7 months I realized I made the wrong choice and decided to get the car I really wanted which was the STI. I started my journey to get the STI on 5/10/16. I don't know why I didn't just go to them in the beginning but trust me that was a lesson learned! I spent the whole day at 4 dealerships and they either wouldn't give me what I wanted for my WRX or the car they had on the lot was overpriced for the condition it was in. After a disappointing day I was honestly ready to give up and just wait until 2017 to purchase my STI but on 5/11/16 I decided to try Carr Subaru, I walked in and was immediately greeted by Joseph Hernandez he was very friendly and helpful since the beginning. They immediately offered my what I wanted for my WRX and we got the ball rolling on ordering my 2017 STI! I paid less here for my new STI then I was going to pay at another dealership for a 2016 STI with 20,000 miles. I was done with the whole process within an hour, I couldn't believe it. Now the hard part started, waiting for my car to arrive. I got the VON and the delivery date was not suppose to be until the last week of July but to my surprise it arrived on 7/2/16! I went in with just a couple of hours available to get the financing done and once again Joseph was there to help me immediately. Within an hour of getting there I was with the finance guy (he was also great) singing papers to drive my baby home. They're great at telling you that the car will look great after getting "detailed". I'm sure it would if they actually did that. There is a difference between "detailed" and just doing a quick vacuum job and a car wash. I purchased a used Legacy, and it was obvious that the car was not cleaned. They told me on Friday the day I came to look at the vehicle they will have the car looking great. All clean and fixed up! On Sunday I come to finalize the deal and I get a dirty car. When I asked about the car not being clean they tell me "oh the shop is so booked until so and so" and you didn't put enough money down or get enough for a trade in.. okay that's not my problem. You're telling me your giving me a dirty car that I just spend thousands of dollars on?!?!? There was also a piece that needed to be repair they did that, and I thought my car would also be cleaned at that visit. Well three days later and the car looks the same. Except the broken piece it's repaired. I'm so disappointed on my experience here. They didn't try to do anything to make it better. They just took the car back twice to get cleaned.but even going back THREE TIMES the car is still dirty!!!!! I have bought many cars before and I have had great experiences EVERYWHERE! 1/02/18 This is my very first review, ever. I feel I need to leave one this time because of my TERRIBLE experience with Carr Auto Body. On 10/25/2017 I was involved in an accident. I decided the best shop to deal with the car would be the shop I purchased it from, CARR, because I felt they would know best what my 2017 Subaru WRX would need since they indeed are a Subaru dealership. After my accident I had it towed to them. The damage was quite extensive, about 10k worth. I asked for a projected time frame. They said about a month. A month was a hard blow for me because I made the mistake of not having rental coverage on my plan but I could deal with it. About 3 weeks in, i call again (keep in mind they haven't called once) to ask about progress. They tell me Larry is assigned to my car and they will have him call me back. Never received a call. I call the next day, he's on lunch and will call back. Never received a call. The following day I call again, Larry isn't around, so they have somebody else talk to me. They say according to the paperwork they are waiting on Allstate and my estimated date is now 11/28/17. That means 2 months they have had my car...Still renting... The next day I call again, but Larry isn't around to take the call, once again. So after work I go into the shop to try to figure out what is going on and guess who is at the front desk. LARRY. I go on to tell him about my concerns and how this is putting a giant hole in my wallet. He says they are waiting on word from Allstate I ask him if there is anything I can do to speed up the process like call Allstate. He says no, they are waiting on word from Allstate and that won't help. But he says to help me out he can make my deductible disappear. Usually something like that would be awesome but I have already paid almost 1k to rent, so I just want my car back. I leave the shop with his word that he can make that disappear. The next day I decide to call Allstate and they check the file and say that CARR, turned in the paperwork they were waiting for the night before (when I came into the shop) and that they would be on top of the shop to hurry this along. At the end of the day I receive a call from Larry saying that Allstate was sending somebody out. I said yeah because I called them this morning. "Oh" he says. "I'll keep in touch". That was my 1st call from Larry. That was 2 weeks ago. Still no word, so today I call. No Larry. But they will have him call back in a 1/2 hour. 2.5 hours go by and I call. LARRY answers. Says he was just about to call. "We are waiting on parts". I say "so, once you receive the parts how long are we thinking"? Larry says "probably not this week, but next". That will be almost 3 months that they have had my car. I am extremely disappointed in Carr. Their communication skills are non-existent. I had a great experience buying the car but once you buy, they forget about you. I'll update my review once I get the car back and we will see if it's done next week and if Larry can keep his word about making the deposit disappear. Keep in mind, I'm still renting. I stopped in for a test drive of a Forester and asked for some numbers estimates afterward. They seemed more than willing to deal with me and were fairly competitive in their offering. If I had been ready to purchase that evening, I think a deal could have been struck. After the negotiations stalled on a Rogue at Carr Nissan, I checked back in with Carr Subaru over text message about the Forester I had driven. They were a little less willing to deal with me this time around but were generally receptive. They were not willing to offer me the same terms that had been informally discussed the prior evening and I decided that I would look elsewhere for a cheaper vehicle. 14 years ago I walked out of Carr promising never to return after poor treatment by a young salesman. But over time the frustration eased and my wife and I bought a Subaru this week from Carr's happiest salesman, Alejandro Flores. At every turn, Alejandro answered our questions and responded by text or phone quickly. The first morning after we purchased the car, the battery was dead. Alejandro told us to come in quickly and he got us into the service department where a new battery was installed. Also, we had left some CDs in our trade-in. I texted Alejandro and he made sure they were secure in his locker so available when I dropped in today to pick them up. I've never considered this lot for buying a new car but recently had to bring in out Outback for a recall item and we have nothing but great things to report. We brought our Outback into the service department for a recall item and the assistant mgr (?) at shop/service desk, Ryan Herrle was just fantastic to work with from the get go. After the intitial recall item was completed, my car had another issue that needed a quick fix and Ryan had me bring my car in the next day and they would work me in and try to get it corrected asap (I had my two kids with me that day). He was cool to my kids, took his time to explain what was being fixed, and just provided great customer service. I came in a couple weeks ago to check out a crosstrek and impreza as I was in the market for a new car! When I first arrived, I was swooped up by a nice guy who started showing me some stuff then he had another appointment so he sent over Papa. One, I think if you know you have an appointment in 10 minutes either send me to someone else immediately or start off by saying you'll be needing to have someone else take over as soon as your appointment shows. Anyway, Papa showed me some cars and answered most questions. After the drive, we went inside and we started talking price and I let him know that I won't be purchasing anything that day as my dad is helping with the purchase so I was strictly just looking and seeing what I liked but as soon as I said I wasn't buying that day, he tried to end the conversation. I asked for some paperwork with just details of both cars, not even pricing, and he seemed frustrated that he had to go hunt some stuff down for me. He ended up giving me a couple documents and sent me on my way. It's unfortunate that it ended so cold because I ended up buying a Crosstrek today but from another dealership. I just had a great customer experience! My Toyota Minivan would not start late one night (around 10pm), so I had it towed directly across the street to this dealership. I used their early bird drop off window where you put your keys in an envelope and put it in the door slot. They repaired my vehicle timely, the service department followed up with timely updates and the repair cost was very fair. The employees at the payment counter were very friendly as well. It would be hard to imagine having a worse experience trying to buy a car than the one I had with Carr Subaru. I was looking for a used Forester. After finding some on Carr Subaru's website I was interested in I emailed with a salesperson and made an appointment to come look at a few. She said she would have the cars ready when I got there and sent me the address with directions because the internet sales department was up the street from the main sales building. My wife and I show up at the internet sales department at the scheduled time only to find out that the salesperson we were meeting was at the other building. Fine, no problem, we head to the other building. We get there and find the salesperson and she tells us the cars we are interested in are in a back lot so we'll have to drive over there and that there is a just announced recall on some of them so we wouldn't actually be able to buy one that day, but we could still test drive them and look. We go to the lot, but she can't find the keys to any of the cars so all we can do is look in the windows, and none of the cars in that lot were the ones I was interested in. But, they had some nice one's that I hadn't seen online that I said I might be interested in so we go back to the main building to get more information about those ones and the prices. While waiting in the little room we start looking at their website and find the one we came to see and ask to see it (after finding out the other one she showed us was way more than we wanted to spend because, according to the manager, it had really nice black rims and tires). So after about an hour we finally are able to test drive the car we came to see. We get back from doing that and get handed off to a new salesperson to keep helping us. He was nice enough and helpful. We end up sitting down to talk price and one of the first questions we ask is "what's up with this recall, if we buy this car when would be able to actually take the car home?" This is a Saturday, he says the recall would be fixed on Monday and we could pick the car up Tuesday. We ask if he's sure, he says yes, so we take his word for it. We spend the next couple of hours there and buy this car, so we thought, expecting to pick it up on Tuesday. We sign all the paperwork, get a loan approved, sign the DMV documents. When we're leaving, we say "see you Tuesday" and the salesman says actually it might be a little longer than that but he'll send us an update Monday. Up to that point I just wrote the minor issues off as typical car dealer nonsense and since they had the car we were looking for at a price we were comfortable with, if it takes a week to pick the car up, fine. Well, Monday comes and I get an email from the salesperson saying that he just checked the status of the car and actually no one has any idea when the parts for the recall will even get there so he has no idea when the car will be ready for us to pick up. WTF?? Apparently when he said Tuesday before selling us the car he actually had no idea and was just making that up to get the sale done. He let us spend hours signing all of the paperwork and getting the loan (including getting hard checks on our credit report) when he never bothered to find out when we could actually take the car home. After some back and forth it become clear he still has no idea and hasn't made any attempt to get an idea of when the car will be ready. For our trouble, he'll make sure the car has a full tank of gas when we pick it up, but when that will be is anyone's guess. GTFOH!! After more back forth over the next week he finally admits he has no idea when the car will be ready to pick up and the only thing he can really do is cancel the contract. So, a week after spending 4 hours at Carr Subaru "buying" a car all we have to show for it is a hard hit on our credit reports. We ended up going to Subaru of Portland a few weeks later and having a much, much better experience from start to finish and got to take the car home at the end. read more

Not only did they repeatedly and aggressively try to get me to buy one particular Subaru instead of letting me drive multiple models, but when I allowed them to inspect my car for trade in value I had to ask 4 times before they would return my key to me. Purchasing a Subaru from Carr was a decent experience, but the oil change maintenance department has been HORRIBLE the last 3 years!! 2 hour wait for an oil change nearly every visit. They almost always cause damage to my Subaru as well. 1) they used to wash the cars, ran the hose hard along my rear bumper and scratched the paint all up on the bumper (car was brand new), 2) purchased wipers. They forgot to install in the shop, so they did it after the oil change in the lot with me sitting in it. Kid drops the wiper, metal side down and puts a big chip in paint on the hood. 3) they ALWAYS have to mess with the seat, in every direction, to drive the car 25 feet. 4) recent vist, they messed with every seat and window control and whatever else. Rolled the window down a bit on the way home from the shop, drizzle rain and the damn window wouldn't roll back up. Called when I got home (40 miles away) and they told me to bring it back. 5) Today (why do I even give them another chance?) Over a 2 hour wait, again, to get the oil changed. I tell the guy, " You want us to bring our Subaru's here for service, but then make us wait hours for a 15 min oil change, my local shop will have me in and out in 15 min...." He says " well your local shop will also cause an oil leak, even intentionally". C'mon Carr, this is ridiculous behavior... trying the "scare tactic"? I would NEVER trust this maintenance department after that comment, true car sales man BS!!! I've purchased 2 Subarus from here the last 5 years. I'll probably go elsewhere next time to purchase and won't be coming back for maintenance!!! read more

Recently I bought a new Subaru Crosstrek and, of and of course went to Carr Subaru. My sales person, Robert Hills, was great. My new car has lots of bells and whistles my old car didn't but Robert was very thorough and going over all of the features. He is not a high pressure sales person. Very knowledgeable about the. Went to CARR to check out oil leak in my 2003 forester. Car drives great just has an oil leak. I just wanted to fix that and nothing else. They came out with $2000 estimate. They gave me a list of things they need to do in order to take care of the leak. Drop the transmission was one of the things "needed" to happen. I left without doing any of that. I am not investing $2000 in 2003 car. Not to fix oil leak anyway. It is pretty annoying though when anywhere you park oil collects and stains the area. I took it somewhere else about a month later. To "not Subaru authorized" service. They resealed the left head gasket. It took them 30 minutes of work. And I paid $30 for it. I have been driving for 2 weeks after that and not a drop of oil coming out. I am so happy that it only cost me $30. CARR subaru is just another SCAMMER. I am not visiting that place any time soon. Way to extort money and rack up a bill. You did not have to tell me that I needed $2000 worth of repairs to fix that leak. You would be better off charging me a $100 for repair that was actually needed. I would be glad to pay you for that and you would have a happy customer and a good reference. If I could give CARR NO stars I would. read more

Came in to test drive some subarus as the dealership came highly recommended from a friend. The sales associate Joe Z assisted me. I have to say it was the worst test drive I have ever been on. The sales associate did not have any knowledge of the new cars coming out. All he did was talk about himself, he didn't seem to care about me or what was important to me in a car. Would NOT sell me the car at their listed price, Even though it was listed on several different sites and I called for the price, and the price shown in the picture was listed on the car on their lot. Tricky place just to get you in the door! Utterly disappointed and I feel cheated. Found this car online and contacted the dealership this morning, they verified the car and price and told me it was free to come look at. I made an appointment for a couple hours later then was contacted that the car was in the shop, I stuck around all day so I could go look at this car before leaving town for vacation. The car salesman Brandon let me know I could come by in the evening and the car would be ready to be seen, he was no longer working and recommended Moon. Two different salesman and a phone call and they were not able to give me the car for what is was listed at. When the manager came out to talk about price he literally laughed and said "thanks for humoring Moon" Then proceeded to offer me the car for $11,000 more than it was listed at, I even called to check the price. They were not even willing to give me the car for what it was listed at online on multiple websites as well as on their lot. I honestly feel like they lied about the price to get me in there because the manager immediately started talking about other cars, and laughed at me. I would never recommend this dealership! The saying goes that used car salesmen Are the worst and that was definitely my experience at Carr Subaru. No apology just laughing at me. Purchase: The car was delivered to me with 129 miles on it, was dirty inside (including a razor blade, hair, and dirt on the back seat), and had multiple minor scratches on the outside. When I pointed out the scratches, they had them repaired for me, but I think it was mainly a good wax & buff job. Due to the scratches, I didn't want to sign a "what we owe" sheet from the dealership that said nothing. I added some notes, signed it, and the salesperson later added 'as-is,' so it appeared I had signed it that way. It took me a week to get copies of my sales paperwork after I asked repeatedly (it was done remotely due to Covid), and the first response sent me incomplete documents with only first pages. I later got complete copies, but with some pages scanned upside down, and a unreadable warranty document. I later got a paper copy of that in person. The first set of financing documents were incorrect, not providing the offered three months before first payment. After I noticed that, they provided what they offered. I got the loan for my car, and later got mail notification of a second car loan denied (I only bought one car.) I ran my credit report to see what was going on and saw that Carr and the finance company both ran full credit reports, unsure if that's related to the fraudulent application for second loan. Service: The front passenger seat electronics needed to be repaired under warranty. When they returned the car to me, there was an inch long obvious scratch into the primer in the paint of my brand new car (1000 miles), a large piece of plastic molding where they'd done the work was on the floorboard rather than re-affixed, and it turned out they hadn't completed connecting the electronics. I was most disturbed they didn't say anything about the scratch, which was super obvious, as though hoping I wouldn't notice. Once pointed out, they did a great repair on the car, but when they returned it to me, the runner removed the review card from the dashboard before walking away, as though they didn't want to be reviewed. My sales rep, Eric G, was helpful and wanted to make things right. I love my Subaru, and Carr has fixed issues as I've brought them up, but there have been multiple issues I shouldn't have had to deal with.
