I love my RO system from Carroll Water. Years ago , they set it up correctly to accommodate my kitchen sink and refrigerator for ice and water! Matt, my most recent tech was very knowledge And professional. Where they loose me is in their scheduling department . Clearly all the schedulers are educated to do is make appts. As the front line call center they should have some 'basic knowledge ' of the systems and at least forward any technical questions to a tech ! The scheduling department failed me. I wasted Matt's time and my money on an unnecessary service visit. We will be building a new house and Matt gave me fantastic advice so we will consider Carroll Water based on his ability to service the system. I will welcome a call from a tech manager or a scheduling manager or even the CEO to discuss what would make this company top notch and receive 5 stars. read more

I paid over $14K to Caroll Water for installing a whole house water treatment system last October. I was told that there is a maintenance plan that Carrol water offers. I told the salesperson that I am interested in enrolling into the maintenance plan and requested written information on the maintenance plan. I even called Caroll Water office another 3 times requesting details on the maintenance plan. But so far I have received nothing. It is not published on its website either. Very disappointed! I purchased this system last year. I got a call for a yearly maintenance service and found out it will coat over $800. At that rate in 4 years, I could by a whole new system. Initially I purchased the chlorine filter with it and afterwards I felt I was upsold. Now it feels worse since it adds to the service cost. read more

Extremely poor value. Carroll Water Systems sold me an acid neutralizer that CANNOT be serviced by the homeowner as it needs to be completely disassembled just to add calcite, and want several hundred dollars to service it each and every year! A tech from a competing company looked at my system and pointed out that calcite can be added to their system without tearing the entire system apart. The previous system may or may not have needed replacement, but at least COULD be serviced by the homeowner at much less expense! read more

I called Carroll water to refill my neutralizer and asked how much it would cost before I agreed to the appointment. I was told it would be $200. I agreed to the appointment then the next day o called to ask if they sold water heaters as well. The lady I spoke to told me they have electric water heaters. When I told her I was looking for a tankless or hybrid type she said they had those but only electric ones, so I agree to talk to a sales agent about buying one. When the agent calls he says they only have tank heaters and I could get one of those and they can install it and he didn't know how I could have been told otherwise. The next day the tech comes to service the neutralize and says it's 400. I called Carroll and asked to talk to a manager and was told "she was busy doing something and would call me back". It's been over 24 hours and I still haven't received a call. I called this company because I thought they would be reputable but all they are is a bait and switch corp looking to scam you. read more

I bought a water softener several years ago from Costco. Carroll Water was the company providing and servicing the unit. The unit came with a 10Y warranty. Annual service is required. The system has run great since it was first installed. The technicians are top-notch. There is truly a huge difference taking an over-chlorinated shower that drys your skin or taking a filtered shower that leaves your skin with moisture. Outstanding customer service and reliability...no one comes close!! Had a an issue with water softener over a weekend. System was leaking water/not functioning properly. Contacted Carroll Water early Saturday morning. Technician (James) contacted me within minutes. Asked for a couple of pics so he could quickly assess the severity of the issue. Instructed me how to stop the leak and arranged for an onsite visit Monday morning. Technician (Mark) arrived... determined issue, addressed all my concerns, and quickly completed the repair at no cost (enrolled in maintenance program); extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would give this company zero stars if I could. PLEASE take my review seriously. This company came to our property this week to do some well work and drill a single line to our house. They were the most disrespectful and destructive team of contractors we have ever worked with. They used a backhoe to install what a trencher could have done, with far less damage; they installed the well through the septic field without checking with us (which means it's not to code and has to be redug); they broke our fence; damaged mature tree roots; and cut through a power line. It will take thousands of dollars or our entire summer to fix our yard, the latter if we do it ourselves. I am still shaking at the sight of it. I do not understand how these other reviews could be legitimate...this team was an absolute disaster and we are heartbroken. See my review on Google for photos. read more

worse service ever. They installed the water softener at my place in Ashburn which caused water leak. they dint even notice the water went all the way downstairs causing wall damage. after i informed they tried to fix it but dint turned out good after 3 visits. I hired a dry wall fix technician to fix it. They also broke the FLO device . I always turn off the FLO device by phone but never manually. They broke it by turning it manually but doesn't want to take the responsibility after lot of back and forth emails. The technicians are inexperienced. Now i asked to buy the FLO device by myself. read more

We started off requesting that Carroll water replace a valve in the past. The techs at the time warned us of the impending failure of our pressure tank. It has now failed and we called them back out to have a look at some pressure issues we were experiencing and ultimately replace the tank. James Pierce and his associate repaired the issue in under two hours and even had the tank on them when they arrived, I was impressed with the foresight. The quality surpassed my expectations and the materials used in the plumbing were changed from old junky plastic, which I am not a fan of, to stainless steel, which I love! I'm a relatively new homeowner so any repairs are going to seem expensive to me (at first) but I thought we got a pretty decent deal, paying a little over 2k. We also had a water quality check with them but I may leave a different review for that service after it has been rendered. read more

Had to get a new well because the original well, which is only 28 feet deep, was going dry after over 100 years. They did a great job with our new well. It took a while, but that was mostly waiting on Carroll County for approval. Well digging took two days to get 300 feet, and it was hooked up another day. Very happy with the results. read more

my pressure was down to 22 PSI. I emailed Jones well drilling which they responded 10 minutes later. they came out the following Monday and replaced my well pump and wiring ($3700). the next day while showering my water dropped to 8 psi. my pressure would fluctuate between 40-8psi randomly. they returned the next day to check it out and said everything fine. I emailed back and said "but my pressure is less than before I had the pump replaced" and no response. my water is also brown now, I emailed and asked if this will go away in time. no response. they got my money so they don't care if it works right or if I have problems. I'll gladly pay another company double for my next wells issue before ever giving them a dime again read more

Our water dried up and it turned out we needed a came out and installed a new well pump for $11,000. The next day we noticed are usually very clean water looks like salad dressing. Carol water couldn't figure it out. Told me to hire a plumber and have a technician from another water treatment company flush the system. I paid to have both things done. The water still looks horrible. Carol water says it's not their fault. To prove it wasn't their fault they took a reading from the well Carroll water was supposed to send us a final reading on the water and they never did. read more

In fact their senior management will say about anything, even in front of witnesses, to install an expensive system that doesnt do as required, and then they will deny all of it. Denial of the truth, even after the facts as stated by their senior water scientist show the installed system will fail to operate in short order due to the unsolved problems they failed to address. Buyers of new homes BEWARE if Carroll County water is testing or installing remediation systems for the seller. They will go cheap and quick to help the seller close.
