I had to try this place because I love wings. I tried their wings and fries and it was official. I will definitely be going back. Had a lot of interesting things on the menu still to try out. updated 9/15 tried their slim sandwiches ...I think the homer...I didn't like that so I know not to get that. Don't come here looking for healthy food. If you're looking to pig out, this place fits the bill. The shakes are good and the sandwiches are very customizable. Their major downfall is the wait time. Even if you call in your order, they seem to not start working on it until you arrive, so you're left standing there waiting forever. I have had a couple of okay experiences here since my last review but yesterday they went back to the normal cold food. My aunt ordered us lunch and since we were running errands she picked up with sometimes makes a difference. My sandwich was cold my tenders were over cooked and my shake was runny. The lady who I spoke to on the phone was very rude and snippy. I was still in the middle of talking and she hung up on me. What the heck is that all about who do you guys think you are! This place is very hit or miss. Mostly miss. The fat sandwiches aren't that great. I ordered a montclair sandwich (not a fat sandwich) and it had one small piece of meat on it. I was not happy. And I see that they took that picture down. I don't know how. Anyway the workers really don't want to be there and they make it obvious. I don't blame them it's late hours but my god the hostility. Normally I wouldn't review a fast food takeout restaurant like Cars, but I feel compelled to do so, so others don't get screwed up from the sloppiness of the employees. Make sure before walking out, you check to make sure everything thing ordered is in the order. Check to make sure all condiments are there, check to ensure your food order is complete. The first bite took me back to the freezing cold weekend nights stumbling about trying to make it home after a night of partying with friends. We never failed to stop at the "grease trucks," ordering up deep fried deliciousness in the form of a sandwich. It didn't matter if we couldn't feel our finger tips, we chowed down tirelessly in the cold streets. With Cars, no more do you have to wait in line out in the bitter cold, they have a small store-front with space to eat, or better yet, they bring it to your doorstep. This place serves up different and creative versions of the inspirational fat sandwiches. Although there are different ingredients, this place does not fail to capture the greasy goodness that made the "grease trucks" successful. I ordered "The Hawk" as it was closest to my old time favorite the "fat Koko." Not having the iron gut I once had in college, I opted for the small size which for me, was still formidable. In a sub roll, my favorites of chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, cheesesteak, french fries were topped with marinara sauce (swapped from honey mustard). I know so much attention is paid to what we fill the sub roll with, but I must make mention of the bread they use here. This is commonly a much overlooked component to any delicious sandwich. The sub roll is incredibly soft and fresh (one upping the usual hard stale bread found at the "grease trucks"). We had also ordered up a mint-berry milkshake, which was fantastically refreshing, especially for a milk shake. After walking out of the store, this place made me want to move back to NJ... for about 23 seconds, then I realized how cold it was outside. The food is ok but they have disgusting customer service. Whoever picked up the phone to get my order was extremely rude and dismissive. They hung up on me twice and didn't put the condiments I asked for in my bag on purpose. The delivery guy was nice, but when I called back the person who picked up had a disgusting attitude. For that reason alone I would say don't eat here. We have to stop giving our money to disgusting, unprofessional businesses.
